I recently visited this Flammkuchen restaurant and have to say it was a disappointing experience across the board. The tarte flambée, which the restaurant was supposed to be known for, was really disappointing and nothing special. However, the service was even worse. The waitresses were extremely unfriendly and seemed as if every guest was a burden to them. Polite questions were responded to in an arrogant and condescending manner. Instead of taking care of the guests, the service staff preferred to talk to each other. I've never experienced anything like this before. I will definitely not recommend this restaurant and will certainly never visit it again. It's a shame actually.

We were very disappointed with this restaurant! As hotel guests, we called in advance to reserve a table. The waiter explained to us that we could just come over, no reservation was necessary... When we went into the restaurant, which didn't have a single table inside, we couldn't get a seat because the restaurant was "overcrowded", even though the waiter told us assured in advance that no reservation was necessary! In the summer months, the restaurant only has the beer garden open and does not offer the option to sit inside, even in windy weather. The waiters reacted with noticeable unfriendliness and were unwilling to accommodate us or apologize for the situation that had arisen! As guests of the Hotel Kardinal Schulte Haus, we had particularly high expectations of the quality of service in this restaurant, which unfortunately were not met.

Fantastically beautiful view overlooking Cologne and the surrounding area. Huge selection of tarte flambées. I can only recommend the tarte flambée with salmon and spring onions. It was really good! For dessert I had the flambéed one with raspberries. Unfortunately it wasn't flambéed and tasted very strange (chemical). Unfortunately, that's the only reason why I only gave the food a 4/5. The staff was very friendly and parking is free. You have to take a ticket at the bottom, then drive all the way through and you can park directly at the restaurant. You don't have to pay for the ticket, it will be covered. We had a wonderful evening and will definitely come back again. A real insider tip!

A great insider tip in the heart of Bensberg with a view of Cologne and the surrounding area. Food very tasty 😋 and drinks nice and cold/hot. Service very nice and accommodating. There is also an all you can eat offer which we will take next time to try even more delicious tarte flambées 😊. I would happily recommend it.

Fantastic! Huge selection of tarte flambées, the best view ever, super nice staff and free parking. You have to take a ticket below, but it will be refunded. Drive right through and park directly at the restaurant. Handicapped accessible! Class!!

Great location, nice simple, bright and relaxed atmosphere, very tasty tarte flambée, very friendly. Also good for families and groups!

Nice tarte flambée, delicious beer

The ambience is really great with a beautiful panoramic view of Cologne! The food was also very good. We chose the all you can eat option and didn't regret it at all! The staff are also friendly and helpful. However, you have to walk a bit to get to the top as the parking lot is further down the mountain.

Several visits, I have always tried several tarte flambées, everything has been very good so far, the quality of the food has always been consistently very good. The service by the presumably tenant/boss was very nice, accommodating, very attentive, and responded to special requests.

I was with a group of 10 people in the so-called Flammkuchen restaurant. According to the menu, an all-you-can-eat tarte flambée is offered. Due to the size of the group, we made reservations and stated that we wanted to use all-you-can-eat. At the reception just in time for the opening, we were informed that this offer could not be implemented because only 6 tarte flambées could be made for the entire restaurant at the same time. With around 50 seats in the restaurant, this calculation doesn't add up. By the way, there were around 16 people in the restaurant with us when it opened. The service staff was completely overwhelmed and didn't know their own menu. The tarte flambée themselves were tasty and made with fresh ingredients, but nothing special.

I would not recommend this restaurant. The food was OK, but not special either. The service was friendly but poorly organized.

The Flammkuchen Restaurant offers an extensive selection of delicious tarte flambées, which are served by friendly and fast staff in a nice atmosphere. So far so good. Unfortunately, the negative experience came with the presentation of the bill. It should be noted in advance that we (two people) were not informed by the staff when we placed our order that we should have made it clear whether we wanted the "all-you-can-eat" version that was prominently featured on the menu or an individual order (in hindsight one gets the impression that this was done on purpose). The "all-you-can-eat" variant is explained in detail and clearly, so that a guest can intuitively and reasonably assume that this is the "normal" ordering variant. My partner, for her part, clearly pointed out an individual order, while I, on the other hand, continued to assume the assumed “normal case”. The invoice amount surprisingly (in extremely negative terms here) listed all tarte flambée orders as individual orders and was therefore higher than expected (= more expensive than taking into account the "all-you-can-eat" variant for me). When speaking to the waitress, similar arguments and advice were made as above, but these were repeatedly dismissed with the statement that I had not explicitly pointed out the "all-you-can-eat" variant (implicitly implied action via multiple orders). not matter). For me it's not about the money, but rather how "clumsy" the interaction between restaurant and customer is lived at the expense of the customer. My advice to all future guests is to clarify everything beforehand so that such “misunderstandings” do not arise.

Amazing food. Portions are quite small, however. They do have an all-you-can-eat at the price of roughly two portions. So it can be fun if you are fat like me. The food is quite salty, so be prepared to need a lot of the EXTREMELY expensive drinks.

Traumhaft schöner Ausblick und unglaublich leckere Flammkuchen. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und super schnell. Das All you can eat Angebot lohnt sich und lädt zum langen verweilen ein. Mit Blick auf den Sonnenuntergang über Köln eine perfekte Kombi. Drinnen finde ich persönlich es nicht sehr schön, draußen lohnt es sich dafür umso mehr.

Absolut der schönste Balkon über der Kölner Bucht. Ob mit Essen oder Trinken, die Aussicht ist grandios. So-Di unbewirtschaftet, aber jederzeit ein Sightseeing wert.

Der Biergarten mit Blick über Köln ist wirklich ein Highlight. Die Flammkuchen waren sehr lecker und der Service aufmerksam. Viele Parkplätze und ein Durchgang zum Stadtgarten mit gerade aktueller "Bensberg" Installation Runden alles ab.

Wir waren mit einer großen Gruppe im hotel untergebracht, daher haben wir hier nicht gegessen, haben aber abends mit alle mann zusammen gesessen. Ich kann nur sagen, toller Service und nette location

Tolle Aussicht und schöner Biergarten. Preis-Leistungsverhältnis der Flammkuchen war leider schlecht und für 13€ kann man doch mehr als fertiges Hähnchen aus der Packung erwarten. Der Service war leider auch bei unserem Besuch überfordert. Etwas trinken bei dieser Aussicht lohnt sich - essen kann man in der Umgebung deutlich besser.

Im Sommer wohl im Biergarten sehr schöne Aussicht auf Köln. Flammkuchen sind o.k, aber satt wird man davon nicht und sind Verhältnismäsdig teuer. Die Krönung ist aber ein bunter Salat für 13,50€, das ist eher ein schöner beilagensalat, da bekommst du beizendem Italiener den absoluten Deluxe-Salat. Für uns nie wieder

Wunderbare Aussicht auf Köln, von der Terrasse aus. Drinnen ist es urgemütlich, der Flammkuchen ist sehr lecker, der Wein auch. Top. Sehr freundliches Personal... Gerne wieder...

Die Flammenkuchen sind sehr gut Ambiente ist toll

Perfektes Flammenkuchen Restaurant in einem ehemaligen Kloster. Super leckere Flammkuchen mit knusprigen Teig in großer Auswahl (43 verschiedene!). Für 21,90 € kann Frau und Mann alle durchprobieren. Noch nie so leckere Flammkuchen gegessen außerhalb vom Elsass. Dazu ein sehr nettes Personal - was braucht man mehr. Geheimtip!

Wir waren zu zweit im Restaurant und hatten einen wunderbaren Abend. Von der Reservierung bis zur Verabschiedung haben wir uns zu 100% als willkommene Gäste gefühlt. Dies ist vor allem auf die freundliche Haltung von Emily zurückzuführen. Die Flammkuchen waren ausgezeichnet, tolle Balance zwischen Teig, Belag und Feuchtigkeit. Wir kommen gerne wieder!

Tolle Auswahl an Flammkuchen - wir hatten drei Verschiedene, und alle waren sehr delikat. Aufmerksamer und freundlicher Service, nettes Ambiente. Restaurantbesucher erhalten ein Ausfahrtticket, wodurch das Parken auf dem Gelände kostenfrei ist. Der nächste Besuch ist schon in Planung.

Diese kleine Restaurant im Kardinal-Schulte-Haus wird hervorragend geführt. Vor allem Emmelie die verantwortliche Kellnerin, hat den totalen Überblick und versorgt die Gäste mit großer Aufmerksamkeit. Auch die Flammkuchen sind von hervorragender Qualität. Leider konnten wir bei zwei Besuchen nur wenige testen. Die waren Super! Für externe Besucher gibt es außerdem einen besonderen Service zum Parken. Reifahren und Karte ziehen. Zum rausfahren bekommt man eine Parkkarte geschenkt. Auf der ganzen Linie sehr empfehlenswert! Rüdiger Beinroth

Es ist herrlich, an einem warmen Sommerabend draußen zu sitzen, den Sonnenuntergang, eine unendliche Aussicht und hauchdünne, köstliche Flammkuchen zu genießen. Leider kann man nicht reservieren.

Das Essen war super lecker, aber genauso gut, wenn nicht noch besser war die rothaarige Servicekraft.

Bei unserem Besuch wurden wir rundum wunderbar verpflegt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und die Flammkuchen waren super lecker! Wir freuen uns schon auf den nächsten Besuch! :)

Super friendly staff & great service. The restaurant is situated in a beautiful spot, with a view over Cologne, everything was very clean and best of all the food was delicious! I will definitely be back next time I visit Bensberg & Cologne 👌
