Great restaurant and delicious food 😋

A cozy restaurant. The food was absolutely excellent; we had catfish fillet and noodles with chicken breast. The service was very friendly.

We're still sitting in the office and feel so comfortable. It's cozy, the food was incredibly delicious, and the wine invites you to linger. And the service staff—what a silly term—are competent and attentive to the guests! Thank you!

We were seated on the terrace that evening. The service was very pleasant and personable, with extensive knowledge of the region's wines. This was helpful and not at all preachy, as even our choice was accepted and served with a smile.

The younger lady with the long hair should probably take another training course on how to behave towards guests... There's really a difference between being friendly and being rude. If I'm annoyed, I can't take it out on my guests; it really spoiled our mood. It's a shame. The other waitress was really nice and very friendly. I actually didn't want to tip. But then I did... There was no thank you, etc. (the younger waitress with the long hair.) The food was quite good. The location was good.

We actually only wanted a bite to eat, but because veal liver with mashed potatoes was on the menu, we spontaneously decided on that. Neither the liver nor the potatoes were fresh. The apples were like compote, and the onions were massive and soft (cooked?). Unfortunately, neither I nor my husband enjoyed it.

During our short break, we also visited the "Kanzlei" restaurant – on the recommendation of locals in Naumburg. Located directly on the market square opposite the town hall, it boasts a pleasant atmosphere. The food was excellently prepared, and the freshly tapped beer and a good Saale-Unstrut wine perfectly complemented the friendly and attentive service. The pottery market and the wine festival taking place at the same time provided plenty of variety. A good location, a beautiful market square, a pleasant wine festival, and a very good choice: the "Kanzlei" restaurant!

We've always been satisfied with the food on offer. But this time we were disappointed. The price-performance ratio just wasn't right. Tagliatelle with chanterelle mushrooms for almost €23. Unfortunately, we didn't like it...

The roast beef with fried potatoes was delicious. The tomato soup was very fruity and a large portion. Highly recommended. Very friendly staff.

The winemaker's goulash and the other dishes were delicious. The service was friendly. The menu, thankfully, was straightforward—good German cuisine. The historic dining room has limited seating. We'd be happy to return.

We ate there in the evening. The food was tasty but lukewarm. The side salad had no dressing. I only mentioned it when paying, perhaps I should have done so sooner; it was my fault. But they replied that next time I'd tell them straight away, and they'd put it in the microwave again. We had liver... nothing else with it, no, they don't serve that with it. We ate at the law firm three years ago, and it was great, but not again.

We arrived in the evening; all the tables inside were reserved. We were allowed to sit at a table, but only until 7:30 p.m. We ordered herring, traditionally prepared. The herring was okay, but the white sauce was less than flavorful. There was no onion or apple, the side salad was mediocre, and the fried potatoes were very greasy. When I pointed out that the salad was already brown, there wasn't a word of apology. I also had to pay an extra €1.50 to swap boiled potatoes for fried potatoes; this wasn't mentioned at all when ordering or on the menu. I find that cheeky, especially since the dish already cost €17.40. I can't recommend it.

I can recommend the place itself, but unfortunately not the restaurant. We once had veal liver with mashed potatoes and roast beef with fried potatoes and a side salad. The food was lukewarm. No matter what kind. The side salad didn't have any oil, vinegar, or lemon juice. A dollop of sauce wouldn't have hurt the mashed potatoes either. It would have gone down better. We told the waitress, but unfortunately, she was resistant to criticism. You can't keep customers like that.

I wanted my original schnitzel with creamed mushrooms. But instead of the offered fries, I wanted it with fried potatoes. This wasn't possible, with the explanation: "The kitchen would turn my neck." My friend ordered the Rostbratl with fried potatoes. This was perfectly possible, because it said so on the menu. This begs the question: why wasn't my meal available with fried potatoes? So I conclude that the plates had already been prepared according to the menu and kept warm. Since it was the Cherry Festival weekend, I assume that a certain mise en place was necessary to cope with the rush. But honestly, I just wanted a different filling side dish, and I think that would have been perfectly doable. The explanation wasn't guest-oriented and therefore wasn't worth a tip. Therefore, the waitress didn't wish me another nice day. What a shame. If you're overwhelmed with the seating (even if it's available) on a weekend like this, you might want to consider a smaller menu. P.S. All the other dishes were fried potato-based. So I didn't want anything out of the ordinary.

A solid restaurant in the center of Naumburg. The menu offers a decent selection. One point deducted for the somewhat chaotic service. Overall, though, our visit was pleasant, and the food was good.

Café Kanzlei in Naumburg is a nice café with a pleasant atmosphere. The food and drinks selection was decent, but nothing particularly stood out. The service was friendly, but not exceptionally attentive. Overall, my visit was solid and average, so I'm happy to give it 4 stars. A good place for a quick break if you're in the area.

Very tasty food and very nice and friendly service

We were on a day trip to Naumburg, and when we got hungry, we spontaneously stopped in and were not disappointed. Very friendly staff. The food was delicious, and the cherry wine was excellent. It's also reasonably priced. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely come back. I highly recommend it.

Whenever I'm in Naumburg, I stop by the office, and I've always enjoyed it. A very nice restaurant in the heart of Naumburg. Good food, a wide selection of drinks, and a comfortable atmosphere. Hospitality is a top priority here. As a guest, you immediately feel at home. The staff is friendly and attentive. A visit is definitely worth it. Come in and enjoy yourself from the first minute to the last. Rating: Highly recommended.

It's been a long time since I've had such a delicious meal in a restaurant. Great respect to the waitress, who served the busy outdoor seating alone and was incredibly friendly. I think the prices are completely OK, considering that the catering industry also wants to survive these days.

Although we only had a latte macchiato and a hot chocolate, the service was still very friendly. Priced very fairly too.

A very cozy little restaurant where the atmosphere and ambience is right. Price performance was also top, nothing to complain about, it was very, very tasty. And I also got non-alcoholic sparkling wine, which you can't get everywhere. The waitress and bartender were also super nice and accommodating. Overall, we were very impressed and now go there more often.

Even if there isn't a spot available right away, there are good waiting places. We were served friendly. The food was prepared quickly and tasted excellent. By chance I strolled past this small but nice ambience and decided to stop by. The service was super friendly. The place is small, quaint and super cozy. I ordered fried potatoes with a fried egg served on a salad. The price-performance ratio was reasonable and it tasted great. Due to the volume of visitors, I recommend making a reservation. The service coordinated very professionally so that everyone could get a delicious lunch.

Just have a quick coffee. Our plan to just have a quick coffee turned into an extensive lunch followed by a coffee with milk. The conditions were absolutely accommodating and friendly, the food (tagliatelle and bratwurst) were extremely tasty and quickly prepared. We can only recommend the restaurant.

Today I experienced the unfriendliest service staff in the last 3 weeks here in Naumburg. I had just sat down when the lady rushed past and asked if I wanted to order something to drink. Since I actually wanted to eat something, I was perplexed and ordered a drink. But when I looked at the menu, I noticed that there were none of the "former Eastern products" I was looking for, e.g. solyanka, spiced meat, Carlsbad cuts or similar. When I told the lady in a friendly manner that I didn't want to eat here, she loudly pointed out to me that the drink was already in the cash register and poured and could no longer be booked out; I had "concluded a contract with the order" . I didn't even get around to saying why I changed my mind. Since I didn't want to let the lady yell at me in front of the full tables, I asked her to come with me to the restaurant where we could maybe talk to each other normally. There I saw that the drink wasn't finished yet. The lady in the restaurant continued to loudly explain to me that I had just signed a contract and had to pay for the drink. It may be that it is legally correct, but the way she “addressed” me in front of the guests present was simply outrageous. And I'm sure the drink would have found a buyer within a few minutes. I gave her the €5.70 and wished her a nice weekend. I would have given 0 stars if I hadn't had a good meal in the office three days ago. Since I'll be in the area for another three weeks, I'm sure I won't be giving any more positive reviews of our accommodation.

Stopped here on our first night in Naumburg and were not disappointed at all. The restaurant was full and we weren`t sure we could find a table but luckily one opened up. I had the local Wels (fresh water fish) and my wife had the Schnitzel, both delicious and paired with local wine from Saale-Unstrut. Charming atmosphere obviously enjoyed by the people who live in the area.

The best thing first: the food was incredibly delicious. I had schnitzel with mushrooms. What doesn't sound special at first was made special by the law firm's kitchen. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. And the mushrooms were just perfect. Matching it with a delicious mushroom and very friendly service. The visit was great all round and can only be recommended. I will eat here more often. Dessert: apple strudel with ice cream. A perfect mix of fresh, hot apple strudel and cold ice cream. The berries were fresh and delicious and the chocolate sauce was just right.

We were in the office last Friday evening. We wouldn't be disappointed this time either. Of course you can criticize the price segment, but since almost all restaurants are currently spinning their wheels, it's okay in the office when it comes to the quality of the food. By the way, that was the first Thuringian Rostbrätel of my life, I would choose something different next time, but it tasted good. The portions were also a good size. By the way, the fried potatoes were perfectly fried and seasoned. The goulash tasted good, but the texture was similar to pulled pork. Our host probably has the pasta more often and is always satisfied. The dessert, the Kaiserschmarrn, was of the highest standard and the applesauce was something different. The service was friendly and accommodating despite the full house. Food 8/10 Ambiance 8/10 Service 9/10

Incredibly nice staff, the food came quickly and tasted good and the decor was very comfortable, the only thing that was slightly irritating was the loud radio music inside but all in all a very good dining experience :)

Sehr unfreundliches Personal. Kurz angebunden und genervt. Das Essen war ok. Es war der Salatkranz mit Bratkartoffeln und Spiegelei. Die Kartoffeln waren grob geschnitten und wenig gebraten. Der Salat war knackig auch wenn die Tomaten wenig Geschmack hatten. Das Dressing dagegen war gut

During my stay in Naumburg, I had dinner in the rustic restaurant "Kanzlei" on the beautiful Naumburg market square for 12 evenings. I was always warmly welcomed there and always got (my) seat, I can only warmly recommend the restaurant, all dishes were delicious German home cooking, with local cellar beer, a cognac to digest it and the crowning finale was a double espresso, it couldn't be more comfortable ! A big thank you again to the entire business team, who work wonderfully together and don't make the guests wait long, the hospitality was amazing and I will certainly be "your" regular guest again next year, many greetings from southern Hesse :-)
