As long as the chef is so in love, we won't eat anything from here again. Addendum: upon request?? There was no demand!!! How is that supposed to work if we didn't eat on site but took it with us. So this answer is a bit strange 😂.

Just have a quick coffee. Our plan to just have a quick coffee turned into an extensive lunch followed by a coffee with milk. The conditions were absolutely accommodating and friendly, the food (tagliatelle and bratwurst) were extremely tasty and quickly prepared. We can only recommend the restaurant.

Today I experienced the unfriendliest service staff in the last 3 weeks here in Naumburg. I had just sat down when the lady rushed past and asked if I wanted to order something to drink. Since I actually wanted to eat something, I was perplexed and ordered a drink. But when I looked at the menu, I noticed that there were none of the "former Eastern products" I was looking for, e.g. solyanka, spiced meat, Carlsbad cuts or similar. When I told the lady in a friendly manner that I didn't want to eat here, she loudly pointed out to me that the drink was already in the cash register and poured and could no longer be booked out; I had "concluded a contract with the order" . I didn't even get around to saying why I changed my mind. Since I didn't want to let the lady yell at me in front of the full tables, I asked her to come with me to the restaurant where we could maybe talk to each other normally. There I saw that the drink wasn't finished yet. The lady in the restaurant continued to loudly explain to me that I had just signed a contract and had to pay for the drink. It may be that it is legally correct, but the way she “addressed” me in front of the guests present was simply outrageous. And I'm sure the drink would have found a buyer within a few minutes. I gave her the €5.70 and wished her a nice weekend. I would have given 0 stars if I hadn't had a good meal in the office three days ago. Since I'll be in the area for another three weeks, I'm sure I won't be giving any more positive reviews of our accommodation.

Stopped here on our first night in Naumburg and were not disappointed at all. The restaurant was full and we weren`t sure we could find a table but luckily one opened up. I had the local Wels (fresh water fish) and my wife had the Schnitzel, both delicious and paired with local wine from Saale-Unstrut. Charming atmosphere obviously enjoyed by the people who live in the area.

We always go to Naumburg by bike, and of course we can't miss a visit to the office. Always nice, courteous and attentive staff who fulfill almost every wish... Genau richtig ! Saßen unterm Sonnenschirm mit Blick aufs Rathaus. Waren heute das zweite Mal da. Aufmerksamer netter Service, Getränke kamen sofort, Essen ebenfalls zeitnah. Alles lecker, frische Zutaten , nett angerichtet. Karte mit völlig ausreichendem Angebot. Sehr zu empfehlen, weiter so. Danke für den schönen Tagesausklang.

The best thing first: the food was incredibly delicious. I had schnitzel with mushrooms. What doesn't sound special at first was made special by the law firm's kitchen. Crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside. And the mushrooms were just perfect. Matching it with a delicious mushroom and very friendly service. The visit was great all round and can only be recommended. I will eat here more often. Dessert: apple strudel with ice cream. A perfect mix of fresh, hot apple strudel and cold ice cream. The berries were fresh and delicious and the chocolate sauce was just right.

We were in the office last Friday evening. We wouldn't be disappointed this time either. Of course you can criticize the price segment, but since almost all restaurants are currently spinning their wheels, it's okay in the office when it comes to the quality of the food. By the way, that was the first Thuringian Rostbrätel of my life, I would choose something different next time, but it tasted good. The portions were also a good size. By the way, the fried potatoes were perfectly fried and seasoned. The goulash tasted good, but the texture was similar to pulled pork. Our host probably has the pasta more often and is always satisfied. The dessert, the Kaiserschmarrn, was of the highest standard and the applesauce was something different. The service was friendly and accommodating despite the full house. Food 8/10 Ambiance 8/10 Service 9/10

Incredibly nice staff, the food came quickly and tasted good and the decor was very comfortable, the only thing that was slightly irritating was the loud radio music inside but all in all a very good dining experience :)

Whenever I'm in Naumburg I stay in the office and I always enjoy it. A very nice restaurant in the “good room” of Naumburg. Good food, extensive selection of drinks, feel-good atmosphere. Hospitality is very important here. As a guest you immediately feel at home here. Friendly and courteous staff. Definitely worth a visit. Come in and enjoy from the first to the last minute. Rating: Highly recommended.

Sehr unfreundliches Personal. Kurz angebunden und genervt. Das Essen war ok. Es war der Salatkranz mit Bratkartoffeln und Spiegelei. Die Kartoffeln waren grob geschnitten und wenig gebraten. Der Salat war knackig auch wenn die Tomaten wenig Geschmack hatten. Das Dressing dagegen war gut

During my stay in Naumburg, I had dinner in the rustic restaurant "Kanzlei" on the beautiful Naumburg market square for 12 evenings. I was always warmly welcomed there and always got (my) seat, I can only warmly recommend the restaurant, all dishes were delicious German home cooking, with local cellar beer, a cognac to digest it and the crowning finale was a double espresso, it couldn't be more comfortable ! A big thank you again to the entire business team, who work wonderfully together and don't make the guests wait long, the hospitality was amazing and I will certainly be "your" regular guest again next year, many greetings from southern Hesse :-)

We sat outside for lunch. Great weather, great restaurant. Clean, nice, courteous and thoughtful. We recommend. The prices are okay.

Attentive and pleasant staff, but the food could improve, I ate one of the worst schnitzcel I have ever had in Germany, the burnt oil still persists. Quiet place with unbeatable views but for the price the food should be better.

A pretty restaurant with rustic furnishings and super friendly service. Well, you're used to the same address as at Ikea, which you have to like, but since I work in the Netherlands, I'm used to it there. In any case, it's warmer than some old-school, rigid waiter. The counter Ina ensured that drinks were supplied incredibly quickly, and the waiting time for food was also okay. When food comes to the table straight away, it makes me suspicious because it can't be freshly cooked. In any case, everything was freshly prepared here, both my wife's Rostbrätel and my winemaker's goulash were extremely tasty. In general, you could feel a good team spirit among colleagues in the restaurant, there was banter and laughter, the cook showed up in the dining room to tell her colleagues that a certain dish was only available three times, and the Syrian assistant chef was happily chopping potatoes, which he told me immediately made him likeable, because he goes to work, while later Germans were seen drinking the citizens' money in front of the Naumburg train station and loudly insulting passers-by.

Highly recommended restaurant on the beautiful market square in Naumburg. We were booked here for the street theater days and had an excellent meal on the last day. The service was of Central German warmth and unproblematic. Slight modifications to the dishes were (quote) “our easiest exercise”. You really feel comfortable and the food is excellent.

A nice place in the heart of Naumburg, but very expensive in terms of prices. The schnitzel with just fries for €19.90 is a huge drain on your wallet. I also had a Kaiserschmarrn for just under €10. Don't get me wrong. The service was very nice and it tasted good, but it was a very expensive pleasure.

Hi, we were at the Essen office on the Saturday before the 2nd Advent and we were totally taken by it. Starting with the friendliness and above all warmth of the two girls, with their hearts ❤️ on their tongues and of course the delicious food. The ambience invites you to be cozy. Please keep it up.

Waren in einer Gruppe da und haben burger bestellt, einmal Medium und durch gebraten. Die burger waren vertauscht was uns nach den ersten bissen aufgefallen ist. Die Brötchen waren sehr trocken und ließen sich trotz Steak Messer nur schwer schneiden. Fleisch trocken, Salat statt Gewürz gurken und sehr salzige Pommes. Ich war leider echt enttäuscht vom Essen

Sehr solides Restaurant in bester Lage. Traditionelle gutbürgerliche Küche von sehr guter Qualität. Die Gänsebrust z.B. ist sehr zu empfehlen. Sehr aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Die Preise sind als angemessen und ortsüblich zu bezeichnen. Zur Zeit ist das Café Kanzlei wohl das Beste, was das gastronomische Naumburg zu bieten hat.

Sehr leckeres Essen, waren schon mehrmals dort und haben verschiedene Speisen zu uns genommen. Service ist Klasse. Räumlichkeiten sind toll eingerichtet. Im Winterbetrieb sollte man vorher reservieren, da dann die Außenterasse nicht bewirtschaftet wird.

Hübsches Restaurant, Bedienung und Essen war überdurchnittlich gut. Würde ich auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen.

Das ist eine sehr urige, wahrscheinlich historische Gaststätte. Hier fühlt man sich gleich gut aufgehoben. Die Gaststätte strahlt Historie aus. Das Essen ist lecker und frisch zubereitet. Die Getränke sind vielfältig. Besonders gut fand ich das Weißbier vom Fass und der leckere Weis Burgunder. Der Service ist zuvorkommend und freundlich.

Sehr flinker und super netter Service + leckeres Essen und Trinken, da kommen wir immer wieder sehr gern.

Wir sind bei einem Dresdenwochenende durch Zufall online auf dieses Restaurant gestoßen und haben spontan für abends noch einen Tisch telefonisch reservieren können. Das Essen wurde schnell serviert, war super lecker und man ist auf jeden Fall satt geworden. Auch das Ambiente ist durch die unterschiedlichen Dekoobjekte, wie die verschiedenen Lampen an den Decken oder den vielen Gemälde an den Wänden, einmalig. Wir empfehlen es auf jeden Fall weiter. Tipp: Vorher unbedingt reservieren!

Ein toller Platz für ein leckeres Abendessen

Die Bedienung war super freundlich und hat uns schnell umsorgt. Das Essen war fantastisch und alles selber gemacht, große Empfehlung für das Steak mit den leckeren Kartoffelrösti und den Kanzlei Burger. Auch alle Nachspeise waren selber gemacht und sooo lecker.

Essen war sehr lecker. Wir hatten Schnitzel und Rostbrätl mit Bratkartoffeln. Die Kinder konnten aus 5 Gerichten wählen und hatten Dinoschnitzel mit Pommes. Die Bedienung war flott und freundlich. Das Wetter war so gut, dass wir draußen sitzen konnten. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Das Kanzlei Café hat leider nur einen kleinen Innenbereich für die Gäste, aber das Ambiente ist sehr schön und passend zu dem sehr alten Gebäude. Dazu verfügt das Café jedoch über einen großen Außenbereich auf dem Marktplatz von Naumburg, leider war es bei unserem Besuch zu kalt dafür. Die Speisekarte ist sehr einladend, das Essen schmeckte ausgezeichnet und die Mitarbeiterinnen waren schnell und sehr freundlich. Ein Besuch im Kanzlei-Café ist sehr zu empfehlen, aber bei kühlerem Wetter sollte der Gast unbedingt reservieren.

Meine Tochter und ich haben uns in dem Lokal mit toller Atmosphäre sehr wohl gefühlt. Speisen Ende September unter freiem Himmel.... besser geht es nicht. Annett war superspritzig und zuvorkommend. wir hatten einen wunderbaren Abend auf der Terrasse mit Blick auf das Rathaus. Wir hatten sehr gute rustikale, deutsche Küche (Leber und Wels) und einen hervorragenden Wein (Weinhaus Polomski). besonders anzumerken ist der sehr aufmerksame, unaufgeregte und freundliche, zuweilen lustige entspannte, mit guten Empfehlungen aufwartende Service!! vielen Danke für den tollen Abend 🥂🍾 (26.09.23 - für den Inhaber, grosses Lob an die Damen vom Service)

Sehr nett eingerichtetes Café/ Restaurant direkt am Marktplatz mit Blick auf die Stadtkirche St. Wenzel. Es besteht die Möglichkeit draußen auf dem Markt zu Sitzen. Wir hatten Pasta und Thüringer Rostbrätel bestellt. Beides kam sehr flott und war vollkommen in Ordnung. Der Service war schnell und Freundlich. Kartenzahlung ist möglich
