I have never seen a worse and cheeky restaurant. Cold food & rotten fish and meat and when I spoke to the employees they attacked my family and my 5 month old baby, that's not possible!!!!!! Impudence!!!

I have known the Kanaan China Restaurant for a long time because I have been there several times with a friend. So far I've been very satisfied too. During our last visit, we noticed that the food in the open buffet tasted slightly different. On the drive back home, my stomach grumbles a bit. As I learned, my friend felt the same way. When I got home I had to hurry to the toilet. Thank God no vomiting, but a one-off case of diarrhea. As I learned, my friend felt the same way. A pity.

Today I saved food from kanaan via to good to go. We were really very disappointed: 1. the portion is very small, but it's supposed to be a €12 portion and you supposedly save €8. 2. the portion consisted mainly of side dishes: potatoes, onions & cauliflower. You actually expect Chinese food: fried noodles, boiled beef, baked seafood... 3. Everything had been carelessly packed together in a box. Just stuffed it in! 4. Anything that is not a side dish is already half-dried. Tastes more like leftovers from the day before! 5. Because you want to save food that was left over from the buffet, based on the points mentioned above, it looks to me as if you want to make money with it! Friends who saved food from other stores got more for the money in terms of quantity and quality (and yes, there was still enough of the buffet when we arrived)! I think profit is the priority here! We suspect that the good food from the lunch buffet will most likely end up back on the dinner buffet! Apart from that, the lady in the Restaurant and also not welcome… We will definitely not rescue food here again or go out to eat ourselves, as this experience has made us wiser!

Absolute catastrophe! Were there for the evening buffet. Food was cold and sometimes inedible. Not recommended.

Not even worthy of one star. My family and I went for lunch today. The food was just disgusting. Hardly any choice and when there was, the containers were almost empty. It stopped being refilled at 2 a.m. The coleslaw was sour, i.e. bad. When I asked whether a new chef had been hired because everything was inedible, they weren't taken seriously. All the food was old. “The salad was simply prepared differently.” We came at a late time. So sorry, if lunch is served until 3, you can also fill up with fresh things or put them down first. Absolutely NOT recommended. They weren't taken seriously either.

Perhaps I have never seen a worse and more rude restaurant than this. Rotten fruits and uncooked food are served. The waiters are very rude and act like they are hitting you. I can't recommend it to anyone.

Unfortunately my visit to this Chinese restaurant was very disappointing. The ambience was dreary and careless, which dampened the mood right from the start. I felt like I was in a big canteen. The service was unfriendly and inattentive, so that after leaving we had over 12 plates on our table. The food itself was also disappointing. The dishes were bland and tasteless, as if they were prepared without any spices. The ingredients lacked freshness and quality, which was unfortunately also reflected in the taste. Overall, my visit to this Chinese restaurant was a disappointment and unfortunately I cannot recommend it. There are definitely better options in the area that are worth checking out. But here, NEVER AGAIN.

I can only say bad things about the restaurant. Please please please, never eat there. The way they prepare the food is a disaster. In the back of the kitchen there are only workers who work illegally for extremely long hours. The little chubby man is the boss. He thinks that German people are a catastrophe just like the other nationalities. Except his... The public order office was already involved at that time, as was the health department. But then I never heard anything again. Some people might like the food, but if you've seen how it's prepared behind the counter, it's a disgusting disaster...

Wir waren mit den Freunden essen. Getränke musste man selber gießen, weil Getränkeautomat kaputt war. Alles stand in den Flaschen. Keiner von Personal hat sich bemüht um Getränke zu kümmern. Kaffee konnte man nicht bestellen, weil Kaffeeautomat auch kaputt war. Essen war alles weg, weil da viele Leute waren. Vanillepudding war ganz sauer, also abgelaufen und wer weiß wie lange bei dem Raumtemperatur gestanden. Der Mandarinenkuchen schmeckte widerlich. War auch bestimmt schon 2 Tage da gestanden. Die Schweine werden auch bei Bauern besser gefüttert.

Only the food, which was freshly prepared for us on the Teppang grill, was okay. I didn't dare touch the ice cream at all, it was almost liquid, salmonella is inevitable. You could get your own drinks, there was a lot to choose from. That was positive. We chose the restaurant because of the play area. This is also nice and big but there are few or broken toys. A pity!

So I was there for the first time today with my daughter and her boyfriend and I was very annoyed that you could find long black hair while eating and the food itself was OK but luke warm. But I've had better all you can eat... I'm very disappointed. Furthermore, when you arrive you will be asked what you would like to drink, OK, but you can ask 0.4 or 0.3. If you don't pay attention to it you get 0.4..

Wir waren heute da Mittag essen. Das Essen war alles kalt. Die Ente war gar nicht knusprig und war fettig. Das Essen hat auch nicht geschmeckt. Auf der Speisekarte steht ganz klar, dass Geburtstagskind 0,00 Euro ab vier Erwachsene bezahlen muss. Da eins von uns Geburtstag hatte, wollten wir dieses Angebot auch benutzen. Beim Bezahlen hatte die Kellnerin aber gesagt, dass dieses Angebot nur am Abend gilt. Das ist Betrug was die da machen. Die verarschen da einfach die Leute, damit die da hinkommen und nachher wenn man gegessen hat, kann man nichts anderes machen als man muss bezahlen. Dann müsste auf Speisekarte auch stehen, dass dieses Angebot für Geburtstagskinder nur abends gilt. Die haben das da extra gemacht. Am schlimmsten ist noch das, dass ich da angerufen habe und gefragt habe, ob das stimmt und mir wurde gesagt, dass Geburtstagskind 0,00 Euro ab vier Erwachsene bezahlen muss.

Bought a lunch box from toogood, friendly reception, the box was already ready. Contents: lots of rice and vegetables, dry squid rings, some beef and chicken. I know the content is a matter of luck, but the portions are much better elsewhere. The taste isn't particularly good either. No incentive for a normal visit. Ambience typical, very large.

We ordered a box from TooGoodToGo for €6 and just wanted to try the whole thing out. When we arrived at the restaurant at the agreed pickup time, we first had to wait. Then a waitress came and not very friendly asked us how much we had ordered and then asked us to wait again. A short time later she came back with a box and filled it with the leftovers from the buffet. The whole thing was a bit strange. Food was acceptable, neither good nor bad. However, there was a random piece of liver in there - it really wasn't tasty. The meat was a bit hard. Conclusion: You get enough for two, but the price was relatively high compared to what you got. They were just leftovers. If they really cared about preventing food waste, they could make portions a bit larger. You have to note that you can get a lunch buffet during the week for just under €9 - there is also sushi, dessert, etc. and it's all fresh.

EXPIRED/ROTTENED FOOD! Not the complete offer as usual... But when I got a piece of church cake, I was surprised at the taste and felt very sick. When we spoke to the waitress while paying, she didn't respond at all and just refused. She said it couldn't be and when I asked if we had to pay anything, she insisted. Ich fand es zwar noch etwas leckerer, als der vorherige Besitzer das Lokal führte, aber so war es auch gut. Nur mit dem Ente nachfüllen, lassen sie sich etwas zu viel Zeit, sodass teilweise die etwas angetrockneten Reste angeboten werden.

We were eating at the Buffet. The personal is not so nice , they were criticising us for letting food on the plate, even though some food was really oily and the fruits were bad.

Wir waren im Riesigen Speisesaal mit nur maximal 10% belegten Tischen. Nach kurzer Zeit wurde die Bestellung der Getränke aufgenommen. Alle bestellten Buffet 1,5 Stunden vor Ablauf der Günstigen Phase. Als wir das erste Essen was kalt und sicherlich nicht ganz frisch war aufgegessen hatten (15minuten) kamen auch schon die Getränke. Eine Nachbestellung der Getränke war nicht möglich. Dann bestellten wir rund 20 Minuten vor Ablauf der Zeit die Rechnung und mussten nach einer halben Stunde den vollen Preis zahlen. Trotz Diskussion jetzt ist es halt so. Für mich NIE Wieder.

Hier schmeckt das Essen lapprig, nicht frisch wenig Auswahl an Fleisch und Gemüse, die Ente schmeckte trocken, die Mitarbeiter sind Kinder unfreundlich vorallem wenn es um die Spielecke geht und den Fischteich.

Hier ist 1 Stern noch zu viel.. Bahnhofsatmosphäre; beheizt durch Propangasöfen. Essen kalt und teilweise ungenießbar, Frische sehr fraglich.. Das ganze noch zu Wucherpreisen. Da hat sogar Mc Donalds die gehobenere Küche.

Es schön gemütlich. Personal ist wirklich sehr freundlich. Das essen na ja es ist ok.

Super Nett und freundliche Mitarbeiter, Nette Service, das würde sehr gut gegrillt Es gibt viel zum Auswahl. Preis pro Person 26€ inkl. Getränke und am Wochenende andere Tage etwas günstiger und das ein gute Preis. Allgemein waren wir sehr zufrieden. Gerne wieder ☺️

Ein sehr freundliches Team wirklich wenn man kein Geld fürs Getränke auch hat wird man nicht mit leeren Bauch gehen also wirklich zu empfehlen 👍🏻❤️

Update einige Jahre später: Angebot an Speisen normaler durchschnitt, gebratener Reis war teilweise angetrocknet, verschiedene Fleischgerichte. Salate - sehr deutsch: u.a. Kraut und Kartoffelsalat. Desserts sind lecker und nett angerichtet. Der Service war neutral - warum man jedoch große statt kleine Getränke serviert ist mir rätselhaft zumal ich mit meinen drei Kindern vor Ort war. Sternabzug : Die großen Warnschilder am Buffet unter Hinweis auf Gebühren , bei "mutwilliger Verschwendung" , hinterließen einen allgemein negativen Eindruck. Verschwendung muss nicht sein und sicher kann man spezielle Gäste individuell ansprechen, aber Warnschilder am Buffet?! Deshalb Sternabzug von 5 auf lieb gemeinte 3. -------------------------------------- Hervorragender Chinese in Viersen, sehr umfangreiches Buffet ,nette Speisekarte. Die frischen Zutaten sind hygienisch abgedeckt, vorbildlich! Angenehm außerdem die Lösung zur warmhaltung der Speisen mithilfe von Ceranfeldern, die von mir so gehasste hohe Luftfeuchtigkeit in solchen lokalen ist somit passe. Die Kinderspielecke rundet das insgesamt sehr positive Bild ab.

Sehr zu empfehlen! Nette, freundliche und aufmerksame Servicekräfte, das Essen war top (Abendbuffet). Insgesamt auch sauber und schön eingerichtet mit kleineren Nischen und für die Kinder eine toll gestaltete Spieleecke. War nicht der letzte Besuch dort.

Sehr leckeres Essen, nur leider musste ich sehen, dass der nette Herr am Grill sich die Nase geputzt hat sich dann an den Fingern geknabbert hat und ohne sich die Hände zu waschen wieder an den Grill gegangen ist. Darum leider einen Stern Abzug, da dies Hygienisch nicht in Ordnung ist.

Das Restauran war schwach frequentiert. Daher auch ruhig. Die Auswahl war ok. Die Speisen haben gut geschmeckt. Unsere Gäste waren ebenfalls zufrieden.

Schöner, heller und freundlicher Ort. Die Glaskunst der Beleuchtung ist ein Genuss für das Auge. Der Service sehr freundlich. Das Essen lässt keine Wünsche offen.

Eklig. Wenig Auswahl und die Qualität ist unter aller Sau. Der Fisch aus dem mongolischen Buffet hat einen verdorbenen Eindruck gemacht. Das Personal ist unfreundlich und wirkt überlastet. Ob es der schlechteste Chinese in Gegend ist, kann ich nicht sagen, aber alle Anderen sind merklich besser. Nie wieder!

Sehr leckeres Asia-Restaurant mit Buffet und a la Carte. Wirklich zuvorkommendes und freundliches Personal. Mit unserem Caravan konnten wir dazu kostenfrei auf dem gepflegten Gelände übernachten.

Das Essen ist super lecker und es gibt sehr viel Auswahl. Auch für Kinder ist sehr viel dabei und sogar eine kleine Spielecke. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich. Und vor allem ist es Hammer günstig ☺️ in der Woche nur 13€ pro Person. Am Wochenende teurer. wir waren mit 5 Kindern da aber es war total entspannt ☺️

Ein ganz tolles Restaurant, das Essen ist reichlich und schmeckt sehr gut. Sehr höfliches Personal das immer um den Gast bemüht ist. Wir werden hier noch sehr oft essen gehen.

eine wirklich schöne und große location mit guter lage und kinder ecke für die familien, aber essen war geht so, es gab sachen die haben gut geschmeckt aber vieles was nicht gut war und was gar nicht geht, war der daurhafte fett geruch der danach sogar an der kleidung hängen geblieben ist

Relativ teuer geworden bei gleicher Leistung. Ist ok, nichts, was einem aus den Socken haut. Speisen sind heiß und werden immer zeitnah aufgefüllt. Service eher hektisch, bloß keine Nachfragen stellen, alles wird einmal erklärt im Schnellverfahren. Dann sieht man den Service wieder beim bezahlen. Ambiente ist Geschmackssache, ich finde es trist und einfallslos. Hell ist es.

Schlechtes Ambiente und Essen, schlechte Luft. Da ess ich lieber Pellkartoffeln mit Quark. Draussen lungern Jugendliche rum die wie "Affen" herumbrüllen. Draussen wird man angepöbelt. Nicht schön f.d. Gäste. Zugang zur Tiefgarage nicht nutzbar, Eingang beschädigt.

Alle Speisen waren kalt und schmeckten überhaupt nicht. Die Auswahl war viel kleiner als früher. 4 Pakete vom Eis waren geschmolzen und sahen aus wie Schaum. Die haben das sogar nicht weggeräumt. Orangen haben nach Schimmel geschmeckt. Der Kuchen hatte gar keinen Geschmack, weil mindestens 3 Tage da schon gestanden hatte. 1 Stern ist auch zu viel.

Ingesamt ist das Restaurant nicht zu empfehlen. Das Personal arbeitet sehr langsam, obwohl es nicht voll war, und unserer Anmerkung, dass die Kuchen in der Dessertabteilung schimmelig waren, wurde ebenfalls nicht nachgegangen. Nicht nochmal.

Das Essen ist nach meiner Meinung mittelmäßig bis gut. Der Service, den wir hatten jedoch nicht zufriedenstellend. Getränke kamen nach der ersten Runde Buffet und auch nur einmal, obwohl das Restaurant an einem Samstag Nachmittag nur zu 10 % gefüllt war. Die Bedienung kam erst nach 3 maliger Aufforderung und wir mussten den höheren Preis zahlen, weil wir zum Zeitpunkt der Zahlung 5 Minuten nach der zeit waren. Hatten aber 10 min vorher um Rechnung gebeten. Nein Danke

Das Restaurant Kanaan in Viersen, Rarhausmarkt hat ein tolles Buffet zu bieten. Sehr große Auswahl an Speisen zu einem vernünftigen Preis. Getränke auch noch okay. Einziges Manko :Sehr großer Raum daher fühlt man sich wie in einem großen Wartesaal.

Das Kanaan gibt es m.W. seit 2016 in Viersen. Wir besuchten es zum Mittagessen. Da das Restaurent sehr groß ist, gab es keine Probleme einen genehmen Platz zu finden. Die Einrichtung ist untypisch modern. Bedingt durch die Größe und Art der Möblierung kann man es aber nicht gemütlich nennen. Es wird ein sehr reichhaltiges Buffet geboten mit verschiedenen kalten und warmen Vorspeisen, Sushi, eine große Auswahl an Hauptgerichten und Nachtisch (Obst, Eis, Gebäck). Eine Abteilung besteht aus einem mongolischen Buffet. Ferner kann man auch a la carte essen. Hier werden auch einige thailändische Gerichte angeboten. Es gibt auch eine Sushi Bahn. Die von uns gewählten Speisen waren alle schmackhaft. Der Service war unauffällig und schnell. Eine Besonderheit: für Kinder gibt es eine große Spielecke mit verschiedenen Geräten.
