Great breakfast in a relaxed location!

Had a fantastic breakfast here. Very attentive, fast and friendly staff. Unfortunately the place is quite loud, but we were still impressed.

I was in your cafe yesterday with my wife. The coffee was good and we enjoyed the pesto toast. We look forward to visiting you again soon.

Small menu but tasty. Paid €52 for breakfast for two. Very loud and it was quite cold.

After being back at Kaleya for a few years now, I noticed some improvements, but also two disadvantages. In the past, the service on a Saturday or Sunday was noticeably overwhelmed in places, orders often took a long time and you had to ask for the service several times. This time the service was great and everything went extremely quickly. Very good! The food was also great and, like the coffee, very tasty! Unfortunately, the selection on the menu has been drastically reduced and instead the prices have increased even further. But the most negative thing was still the incredibly high volume. And all my friends, all of whom were there for the first time, said the same thing. It was really tiring to stay in the café for more than 20 minutes, even though it was otherwise very nicely decorated. You would just have to invest a few thousand euros and line the entire ceiling with soundproofing elements and hang a few moss pictures on the walls. But that would lead to a noticeably more pleasant ambience.

Service is really nice and food is great but not so great that I can overlook the prices.

Super delicious breakfast with generous portions. The coffee is perfect! It was very busy at the weekend and only one person was assigned to the service, which I personally found hard. Nevertheless, you never had to wait long and the service staff was very friendly. EDIT 2025: I've been eating breakfast at Kaleya irregularly for over three years now and unfortunately I'm no longer as enthusiastic as I was back then. The quality and quantity of the food has not changed, nor has the friendliness of the service staff. But there have only been five dishes on the menu for months and the prices have risen exorbitantly. As I paid around €33 for breakfast for one person (€40 with tip). In addition, the guest room is becoming increasingly narrower in order to accommodate as many guests as possible. This not only increases the volume, but also reduces the feel-good atmosphere. It's a shame, really!

Ich gehe seit nunmehr über drei Jahren unregelmäßig im Kaleya Frühstücken und bin leider nicht mehr so begeistert wie damals. An der Qualität und Menge des Essens hat sich nichts geändert, an der Freundlichkeit der Servicekräfte ebenfalls nicht. Aber auf der Karte befinden sich seit Monaten nur noch fünf Gerichte und die Preise sind exorbitant in die Höhe gestiegen. Als einzelne Person habe ich für ein Frühstück ca. 33€ gezahlt (mit Trinkgeld 40€). Zudem wird der Gastraum zusehends enger um so viele Gäste wie möglich unter zu bringen. Das steigert nicht nur die Lautstärke, sondern mindert auch die Wohlfühlatmosphäre. Der Tisch neben der Toilette ist eine Zumutung. Schade, wirklich!

We stopped in this bar by pure chance, and how lucky we were! The restaurant offers amazing breakfasts, as you can see from the images, abundant, with fresh ingredients and with different combinations than usual. We were really impressed by the variety of ingredients used and how well they went together. If we return to Stuttgart, we will definitely come back here too!

In itself it was really beautiful and lovingly furnished. The menu is small and there isn't much choice. I didn't think it was good value for money. You pay €17 for a sandwich - I don't think that's justified. The service could have been better, we were not asked again if we would like to order anything else. The noise level was very high considering there weren't too many people there. There were no cushions on the benches to make it more comfortable to sit on. Unfortunately we won't be coming anymore

An sich war es echt sehr schön und liebevoll eingerichtet. Die Karte ist klein und es gibt nicht viel Auswahl. Preis-Leistung fand ich nicht in Ordnung. Für ein belegtes Brot zahlt man 17€- das finde ich nicht gerechtfertigt. Der Service hätte besser sein können, wir wurden nicht wieder gefragt, ob wir noch etwas nachbestellen möchten. Der Lärmpegel war sehr hoch, für das, dass nicht allzu viele Personen dort waren. Auf den Sitzbänken haben Kissen gefehlt, damit man bequemer sitzt. Wir werden leider nicht mehr kommen

Reserviert wegen des aktuellen Instagram Hypes. Beim Ankommen hat man die Überforderung der Service Kräfte schon gemerkt. Keine Beachtung , keine Begrüßung. Ich stand erstmal 5 Minuten im Eingang, bevor ich unseren Tisch zugewiesen bekam. Die Frühstückskarte ist SEHR überschaubar. Weil ich nicht glauben konnte, dass sie so klein ist, habe ich noch die Karten meiner Begleiter durchgesehen, weil ich dachte, es fehlt eine Seite in meiner. Essen kam schnell, hat gut geschmeckt, war sehr schön angerichtet, war für den Preis allerdings sehr wenig (2 Eier Benedict auf 2 kleinen Scheibchen Brioche, einem Fetzen Lachs und ein Klecks Avocado mit ein bisschen Deko für 18€?!) die Latte Macchiato in der Größe von vielleicht 100ml war für den Preis von 4,80€ wirklich Abzocke. Ich bezahle gerne den Preis für etwas das gerechtfertigt ist, aber das war echt ein Fail. Ich gehe davon aus, dass wenn dieser Instagram Hype abflacht, die Leute auf lange Sicht ausbleiben werden. Schade drum!

Wir haben das Lokal direkt wieder verlassen, da es darin eiskalt war.

The pancakes had no taste, its a whole bunch of nothing, the food is also very overpriced. The service was okay, but thats it. Also noticed that people that came in way after us got served first, so very disorganized. Also the menu only consisted of 2-3 items, not much options to choose from. Definitely first and last time here.

Das Frühstück war sehr lecker, allerdings muss man auch lange darauf warten, obwohl bei unserem Besuch es nicht voll besetzt war. Zum Teil hatte man geglaubt, die Bestellung ist gar nicht angekommen, da sie so verzögert am Tisch an kam. Als wir zum Schluss noch einen Kaffee bestellten, wurde die Bestellung auch aufgenommen, jedoch nach 15 min kam die Bedienung und wies uns darauf hin , dass wir nun schon länger als 90min hier wären und sie daher die Bestellung nicht mehr auslösen könne. Somit hat sie uns gebeten zu zahlen und uns rausgeschmissen. Das geht gar nicht. Für den Service war das Frühstück für 2Personen mit 76€ doch zu viel. Auch wenn es dort sonst gemütlich ist. Schade !

The furnishings are lovingly designed, with warm lights and stylish details that invite you to feel good. The food there is absolutely excellent and will suit every gourmet. The dishes are freshly prepared and prepared with great attention to detail. Whether savory or sweet – everyone will find something to suit their taste here. The Café & Bar Kaleya is definitely worth a visit, and anyone who has been there will definitely like to come back. Been here a few times, but now there's less choice. In addition, nothing has been done about the acoustics (which would be possible in terms of fire protection), so it sometimes becomes unpleasant as soon as it fills up. Luckily it still tastes good.

Very tasty breakfast! Relatively small menu, but still a wide selection. Fast service and short waiting times. Visiting with a dog was no problem at all, we were able to make a reservation online for Sundays at very short notice (online one day in advance). A small deduction for the ambience: when it's full, it gets very loud as the café is quite small. The food is beautifully prepared and tastes great!

We had reserved a table for my wife, me and our little daughter for Sunday at 12 p.m. It was so full that we had to wait 20 minutes in the entrance area for a free table, for which the extremely friendly staff apologized very kindly several times. The employees were really super friendly and we didn't have to wait long for our food. They also responded lovingly to our daughter. The menu is very manageable but our individual special requests were also helpfully fulfilled and in the end even our drinks were on the house to compensate for the long wait. The food was good, the drinks were ok. The location and atmosphere of the friendly little café are pleasant and inviting. The toilet rooms are also very nicely designed. All in all, a really nice brunch spot but you should definitely make a reservation on the weekend.

The selection of dishes is limited, but the food impresses with its freshness and good taste. However, the prices are unfortunately disproportionately high. The friendly and attentive service is commendable, but what's disappointing is that classic dishes like pancakes with Nutella are missing. Given the many alternatives in Stuttgart that offer significantly better value for money, we will not visit this restaurant again.

Extremely loud and extremely expensive… you can't order anything individually! That's a shame. A bread with avocado 17 euros? Pancakes 17 euros? There's nothing underneath. It's just crazy how expensive everything has become. I ended up sharing a sandwich with my girlfriend with scrambled eggs and cheese - 11 euros each for half a piece of toast. Quite intense...Aside from that, it was incredibly tasty and creatively prepared. The service was super friendly. 👌🏼 Unfortunately everything is too narrow and too loud.

Outstanding catering (finger food and live cooking) for my husband's birthday party. Everything was beautifully prepared and the taste was a dream. Super well-coordinated and very nice team. We've been here several times and so far (despite the constantly rising prices) we've actually been satisfied, but today we had to wait 20 minutes in front of the door despite having a reservation because they first wanted to give us a kind of "side table" right next to the kitchen door. The menu is constantly changing, unfortunately more negatively than positively. In addition, the online menu does not match the one on site, which only consists of 7 overpriced dishes. Very disappointing that the “American” was removed from the pancakes as the only salty alternative and so you can only choose between a chocolate bomb or a fruit bomb.

Very tasty breakfast in a very chic atmosphere. The selection is not extremely large but everyone will find something. Menu is often renewed. Portions are generous and you fill up well, the composition and taste are very good! Really a recommendation 👍🏻

Basically don't give it a 5/5! But make an exception today! Admittedly, €103 was spent for four people and therefore not exactly cheap, but the location right next to SWR/Rosensteinpark is ideal (parking/tram/walking)! The food is fresh and very tasty. Neither the kitchen nor the service was professional. Bottle of mineral water arrived smelled. Poached egg completely. Online menu different than in the restaurant (significantly more limited). Service overwhelmed and uncoordinated. If you like Instagrammable food cooked without love or understanding for a lot of money, this might be the right place for you. Unfortunately never again.

The food is very attractive and deliciously prepared. The location is also pleasantly furnished. We had made a reservation and were warmly welcomed, the food came quickly and we were asked about our satisfaction. However, as the café slowly filled up, you could tell that the staff was having difficulty using the tablet for ordering/billing. It can happen, but that's not a bad thing. However, after 90 minutes, an employee almost jumped up to us with the words: "So "girls" (not appropriate), the 90 minutes are up, you have to pay now!" We were basically thrown out. And that even though we had an appropriate order and had reordered. Either way, we felt extremely offended. I've actually never experienced anything like that. When we were supposed to pay, another employee came, but she was still completely overwhelmed with the tablet and sat in front of our table for 20 minutes and tried almost in vain to process our order via the system. She was visibly sorry. Mental arithmetic would have done it once and entering it later might also be possible? However, that was a combination for us that precludes us from visiting this cafe again. Even the people sitting next to me noticed this interaction and were visibly astonished! Overall, I left the café with a very bad feeling. Too bad.

I agree with the previous comment 100%. The waitresses were visibly overwhelmed and one didn't know what the other was doing. After 1 hour we wanted to order drinks again. We were told that we had to leave after 90 minutes anyway. We still got something to drink (unfortunately the wrong drinks) but were able to finish the drinks in peace. All in all, we wouldn't come here again: very chaotic and simply overpriced. We don't understand the hype.

Our breakfast tasted absolutely delicious and we enjoyed every bite. We were very satisfied. We sat outside, so the ambience is of course different than inside.

Sehr leckeres Frühstück und top Personal, aber unser Besuch wurde von der Lautstärke im Lokal sehr stark getrübt ! Sonntag Vormittag und es waren sehr viele Eltern mit Kleinkindern dort. Lautes Geschrei und Tisch Geklopfe hielt uns von weiteren Bestellungen ab! Wer also grundsätzlich in Ruhe sein Frühstück genießen möchte, sollte sich eventuell eine andere Lokalität suchen!

For my birthday we went to Kaleya for breakfast as a couple. Really delicious breakfast and coffee. I can only recommend it.

The Kaleya Café & Bar, located at the lively Neckarstraße 240 in Stuttgart, is a hidden gem that has established itself as an ideal meeting place for connoisseurs, coffee lovers and night owls. As soon as you enter the restaurant you are greeted by an inviting ambience and a modern but cozy interior. The stylish mix of industrial and warm wooden elements creates an inviting atmosphere that is perfect for both a relaxing afternoon and an exciting evening. Large windows let in plenty of natural light, while the subtle lighting creates an intimate and cozy atmosphere in the evening.

There were four of us for breakfast, but we agreed not to come back. The food itself was good, but the prices were way too high - even for Stuttgart standards. For example, we had the Greek yogurt, which was 13-14€. For the price we would have liked a lot more fruit than just a passion fruit and a few berries. Then we had the Benedict, which was delicious, but it had chilli flakes on it. It's a shame it wasn't on the menu, not everyone likes it spicy. This was also priced at €14-15. Service was OK, a bit overwhelmed. Toilets were clean. So all in all it was okay, but not a recommendation. Price per person for a meal, coffee and water is €25. This is also cheaper and better in Stuttgart.

It's nice to sit outside. The selection is good. The pancakes were to die for. Very easy to reach by public transport. There is a vegetarian selection. There is paid parking on the street. Prices are a little higher, but justified in my opinion. Can definitely recommend it.

Unfortunately, most of our orders were recorded incorrectly. Instead of white Kessler sparkling wine there was rosé because there was no other available (which was not communicated). My cappuccino with oat milk was with cow's milk.

Essen war super lecker und ausreichend von den Portionen. Leider war es sehr laut und ein Gespräch zu führen schwierig da man teilweise den Sitznachbarn überhaupt nicht verstanden hat. Service war gut, alle sehr freundlich!

We were at Kaleya at the weekend and the four of us met there for breakfast. The food and coffee were very good. What struck us particularly positively was the creative offering of familiar but newly interpreted dishes. The ingredients were all fresh and of good quality. The ambience and furnishings are modern and attractive, but the benches are unfortunately uncomfortable. What disappointed us a bit was the lack of gluten-free dishes on offer and the unwillingness to serve something from the menu gluten-free (e.g. simply scrambled eggs without any extras such as croissants or sauce). Which is why the person suffering from celiac disease had to take the initiative to suggest a solution (a bowl without the granola). The bowl was still charged at full price. Keyword price - the pricing is on the higher side (you pay around 13-15 € per dish, a portion of bacon, i.e. 4 strips, costs 3.50 €), which is partly justified given the quality of the food, but in combination with slow and The overwhelmed service and the much too loud background noise (due to the small room) seem hard to understand. All in all, I wouldn't recommend Kaleya for a long, relaxing weekend stay. If you would like to go, you should definitely make a reservation. The focus here is on the quality of the food and the desire to try something new.

I had breakfast here with my girlfriend today and we both really enjoyed it!! Were there for 4 hours and enjoyed the delicious food and coffee!! The banana bread is also really good, will definitely come again❤️🫶🏼 The conditions were also very friendly and accommodating!! Came here on a whim and I swear this Greek bowl is insane. My friend ordered this sandwich with truffles and this parsemasan something and went crazy too. Sparkling wine also went in really well and your people are correct. Loading more stable, will come again. Eyyyywa

The Kaleya is simply an asset to the whole of Stuttgart, by far the finest breakfast and great coffee. The staff is simply great and the atmosphere just makes you feel good!

16€ for a slice of bread with avocado and a bit of salad on it... I don't care how wonderfully prepared it is. This cannot be justified in any world.

Unfortunately, the later the morning (Sunday) got, the louder it became in the café, as it was very busy, so a star deduction for the ambience. EXPRESSLY NOT RECOMMENDED. The four of us made a reservation on Sunday for 1 p.m. We only had to wait a quarter of an hour for our table. The restaurant is very small and cramped therefore very loud. On top of that, the music is still turned up. Not necessarily the best conditions for a Sunday brunch. The atmosphere in the service team was very tense and unpleasant. They're constantly snapping at each other. Even though there are five waiters on site and only about 50 guests in the restaurant, everything takes a long time. At first no waiter came to take the order. Then the drinks came without spoons. Because spoons were out. The pancakes we ordered were already out. Then we ordered scrambled eggs with a croissant. Croissant was also out and they offered me bread instead. Then came a slice of bread that wasn't even half the size of the croissant. Portions far too small and too expensive. Nobody cleared up after dinner. We put away empty plates ourselves. So a complete disappointment and everything aside, how the waiters treat each other in front of the guests is an absolute no-go. But the food tastes great, I have to say.

Nice and quick staff. Unfortunately extremely loud and unfortunately the prices are high. A surcharge of 0.60 cents for oat milk is quite something. That makes an oat Flatwhite just 5 EUR. The two of us spent just under 50 EUR for a not so lavish - but still delicious - breakfast.
