The food and service were perfect. Everything arrived quickly and was delicious. Top-notch. Unfortunately, the ambiance is pretty much ruined by the intrusive AI images on the walls and tabletops. Aside from that, the place is nicely decorated. Please remove this AI rubbish. Nobody wants to see that. Nobody.

I ordered through Uber Eats. The food arrived very quickly, but unfortunately, it didn't taste very good. It's not authentic Mexican food at all. My enchiladas were extremely dry, and instead of chorizo, they had sucuk in them—what does that have to do with Mexican food? The "Mexican salad" was just a regular salad with tomato, cucumber, and a very mild dressing. Sadly, it was all very bland. Furthermore, the prices are completely exorbitant for the portion sizes. I wasn't full, and I paid €16 for it. It's a real shame; I was really looking forward to it.

The quesadilla barbacoa is absolutely delicious and beautifully presented. The team was incredibly friendly and made me feel instantly welcome. There's a really lovely atmosphere with a great vibe and Mexican music playing in the background. I highly recommend it! ☺️

We went there with friends and everyone ordered something different, and every meal was absolutely delicious. A large selection, so there was something for everyone. The staff was very friendly, and for the wait, which was normally long, we received some nachos on the house. This won't be my last visit there.

Hello, After a rather tiring day of moving, we stopped by Kaktus. The place has modern decor and stood out for its open, bright atmosphere. The service was outstanding. The gentlemen clearly made an effort to make our stay as pleasant as possible. (Successful, otherwise I wouldn't write this.) For a sweet treat, I treated myself to a Classic Margarita. I've had quite a few of those over the past 60 years, but rarely one that tasted so fruity and not overly alcoholic. If I hadn't had to keep going, I would have surely drowned. The food was excellent. I had the beef fajitas. The meat was tender, and there were enough fresh sides to make a variety of rolls. My companion had chicken burritos, which were devoured in their entirety. I think that's high praise for young people. My final coffee was prepared and presented with a certain pride. Here, too, I must say, this was justified. In conclusion: I'll go back there if I find Bielefeld again.

Anyone hoping to get authentic Mexican tacos here is sadly mistaken – these tacos don't have much in common with Mexican food. Tacos are served in hard shells, just like you could buy in a store. I spent a month traveling in Mexico myself and was hoping to taste some of this beauty again.

I ordered nachos with meat, but all I got were nachos with cheese in a cardboard box. The nachos were stuck to the box and tasted like cardboard. Also, some of the sauce had leaked out and stained everything in the bag. Very disappointing!

Gaith and his team catered the main course at our wedding. And it was a complete success! Gaith put a lot of effort into the preparation, coordinating the menu perfectly with us, and he completely accommodated our wishes. He even made things possible that aren't normally offered at the restaurant. The entire team is incredibly accommodating and friendly. We highly recommend both a visit to the restaurant (we were there for a tasting) and working with the Kaktus team. Friendliness and hospitality are very important here! The food itself was also delicious!

I was at this nice little Mexican place tonight, I often go there, I live nearby. Friendly staff but not Latin American, music still Latin American. The lights inside should be soft (in my opinion) .. the decor is very refined but, it could still be improved to give that sense of "Mexico" to the place. I took the special Burrito with the addition of aioli sauce and avocado sauce. I waited 20 minutes, but it's better this way. Well presented dish and good flavors. Fair quality/price ratio. Maybe, I'll go back to maybe try other specialties. In any case, it's worth visiting at least once.

I'd like to give the food zero stars. They serve the cheapest nachos from a bag, and all the dips I've had are store-bought (BBQ, cheese, etc.). No love and little knowledge. What a shame! Frank should help out here!

I've been to many Mexican restaurants, but here everything was just perfect: the taste, the atmosphere, and the service! The casedillas were incredibly delicious, fresh, juicy, and really well-seasoned. The alioli also tasted like it does in Mexico, super creamy. The staff was super friendly and hospitable; you immediately feel at home. The interior is beautifully decorated, with attention to detail, giving you that vacation feeling. I love it🫶🏻

I was at Kaktus in March 2025, and it was my best evening in Bielefeld. I was in town on business and spontaneously dropped in for the evening. The ambiance and table decorations were very simple and understated. The two owners were very welcoming. I ordered shrimp tacos. I had told the owner I wanted fries. Even though they weren't included, I got a large portion of fries with my ordered meal. Very warm and attentive service! The tacos also came with salad and two salsas to choose from. The guacamole was fantastic. But the best part of the evening was the pico gallo salsa with fresh tomatoes. The tacos were also very well seasoned, and the shrimp were fresh. The red wine was also a good temperature. I had a very nice evening with great service and fantastic food.

We ordered through Lieferando. Immediately after submitting the order, we realized we'd clicked "Pick Up." After a brief phone call, we were told the food could also be delivered. After 70 minutes, we called again. The food had to be picked up because no driver was available. Unfortunately, the food was very mediocre and extremely overpriced. The burrito pollo for €16 for this size is a bit much. Unfortunately, I don't recommend it.

As a Mexican, I have to say it was the worst restaurant I've ever been to. What horrible food. The nachos were microwaved, and the burritos and quesadillas were untamable. The only good thing was the service. Very friendly and attentive.

To be honest, I'm speechless. That was by far the worst thing I've seen in the restaurant industry in recent years. A totally overwhelmed team, each drink brought to the table individually. You can only order more drinks with difficulty. The food is all the same, just called differently, which is typically Tex-Mex. But the grill plate was really a disgrace. A lot of money spent on mediocre food coupled with poor service

Very tasty food in a relaxed atmosphere, including good Mexican music. We were here for the first time, tried burritos and enchilladas and were asked beforehand whether the food could be spicy. That was it, but in a healthy dose. All in all a complete success and therefore a clear recommendation from me. We'll be back!

Beautiful restaurant with super tasty food. We ordered quite a few times- chicken burger, Nachos with dips, Quesadilla, Enchilada and in mocktails we ordered coconut kiss and Lemonade, and a quite few others, that i forgot:) nevertheless, everything was on point!!! We were there for quite some time. The owner came to us and we spoke to him too! A pretty nice guy! He served us free Desserts:) I think they were Panna cottas with vanilla ice cream. Super lecker and a cherry on the icing!!!:) highly recommended!!!

We held our company Christmas party there – with a total of 16 people. A large table was reserved for us, and we received extremely attentive and prompt service. The food was served almost simultaneously and was always at a comfortable temperature. Even a quick music request was promptly fulfilled. The drinks were excellent, the food delicious, and everyone thoroughly enjoyed themselves. Highly recommended!

The food was so delicious 🤤 Really. I ate tacos for the first time in my life and they were absolutely delicious. I didn't know how I was supposed to eat them, but since no one looked at me stupidly, it was clear 😅 One thing I have to complain about is that we waited a long time for the menu. That must have been over 15 minutes. Once we had this, everything else was completely fine. The food was definitely worth the wait 😁 I don't know what else there is, but I'm looking forward to my next visit to the restaurant ❤️ Kind regards

The Kaktus is a small restaurant on the edge of Bielefeld's old town. The furnishings are modern and cozy. The menu is clear with short explanations of the dishes. The service was nice and quick, the prices were reasonable. There is also a small outdoor area which also offers a cozy impression. The prices here are at the usual level. The food was beautifully presented and was very delicious.

The food was okay to really good, the ambience outside wasn't that great, but still okay. But the service was really, really bad. Not unfriendly or anything, but we were constantly forgotten. Finally, we sat for an hour without service, even though we had repeatedly ordered drinks throughout the evening.

We discovered this restaurant by chance and were immediately impressed! We really liked the ambience, and we also liked the fact that it wasn't a big restaurant. The selection of food was plentiful, there is definitely something for every taste. Everything about the order took a very long time. Even the drinks took a while to be delivered to the table and we had to wait an unreasonably long time for both the starter and the main course. To be honest, we didn't wait any longer for the tequila on the house and left. However, since the food and the ambience convinced us, we would like to come back again.

The service was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately, the food was not a revelation and had more of a fast food character. So if you just want a quick snack, you might be in good hands here, but if you want a good meal, it's probably not.

The Kaktus is a small restaurant with a limited number of tables. At the weekend it's worth reserving a table. The food is very good quality and plentiful. My sweet potato fries were super crispy. The homemade lemonades are delicious. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive. We had a lovely time at the cactus and will definitely be back.

It's a nice little restaurant with great food, but the service is very slow. The ambience is good. The presentation of the food was also good. The portions were also reasonable. There are not enough waiters/waitresses in the restaurant which makes everything very slow.
