We traveled from Lower Saxony for a sporting event and were looking for a restaurant to end the evening. We chose the Kaiserhof, and what can we say? It was incredibly delicious! The food is absolutely fantastic! Some of the best we've ever eaten! The staff were also incredibly friendly! We'd love to go back!

We go there regularly for lunch. Delicious! The portions are perfect, and the dessert is amazing 😍 For our birthday, we had a special request that wasn't on the menu: Chateaubriand. No words 🫶 Perfect value for money. It was cooked to perfection and super tender. The side dishes were crisp and delicious. Béarnaise sauce 👍 Sandra and Dirk's place is a place where you can't help but feel at home ❤️ Kölsch on tap and super-friendly service (Jasmina) round out the package.

We visited the Kaiserhof for the first time today. A wonderful restaurant with friendly staff, and then there's the kitchen. Simply fantastic; they know what they're doing. A tip: The gypsy sauce...unrivaled.

We happened to be in town one Friday evening and wanted to grab a bite to eat. The Kaiserhof caught our eye. The service was very friendly and attentive, and the food was absolutely delicious. Sandra and Dirk are very nice hosts. The Kaiserhof was busy, but we didn't have to wait long for our food.

The food and service were impeccable. It's a family-friendly atmosphere where you feel very comfortable. Definitely recommended ☺️

We were at the Kaiserhof with nine people on May 31st and had an unforgettable, wonderful evening! A huge thank you to the impeccable waitress Jasmina and the outstanding chef! For both of them, their work is their calling; hats off!

Today, for my father's birthday, we went to the Kaiserhof for the first time. We walk past it all the time, but had never eaten there before. Now it was finally time. The Kaiserhof perfectly combines modernity with homely cooking. You immediately feel at home in the restaurant. We were even allowed to sit inside with our dog and had a very good spot where the dog could also lie down comfortably. The rooms, including the restrooms, were very clean. Despite being very busy, the service always kept an eye on us; we hardly had to wait and always got our drinks quickly. My parents liked the Früh Kölsch on tap the best. The food was delicious. The salad was crisp and fresh. The dressing was beautifully seasoned. The main courses were all very tasty. The meat was well-cooked and tender. Everything tasted homemade and not like it came out of a packet. That's what makes eating out fun. Overall, the service was attentive and very friendly. Overall, completely satisfied and happy. A lovely birthday lunch. We'll definitely be back!

The restaurant is worth recommending. We got a date for a funeral service at short notice. There were 15 of us and we ate a la carte. All dishes came together promptly and were delicious. The menu is not too large, but the dishes offered are very good in terms of taste and quantity. The service and landlord are friendly and attentive. Thank you, gladly again. We were there for lunch on Easter Sunday! Super tasty, as always! Very child-friendly (our 4 year old grandson) clearly felt at home! He even got his food a little earlier because he was so hungry! You never experience something like this!! Everything very clean. Staff relaxed, despite the full house. Sandra helped and always asked if everything was okay or if you had any further wishes - so, very attentive. Each guest had a little chocolate Easter bunny from Lind at their place. When you consider how much they cost...! Will always come back!!! We are already looking forward to the new outdoor catering and wish you much success!!!

The warmth with which you are welcomed puts you in a very positive mood for what is to come. A varied menu means you can find something for every taste. My choice fell on the cordon bleu. In the background you could immediately hear how the meat was being plated and prepared for the encounter with the pan. Together with crispy hot fries, the cordon bleu came to the table golden yellow with wonderful roasted aromas. Lovingly prepared, it made you want an enjoyable meal. The meat was delicately seasoned and juicy. All in all, a visit that was worth it. Good food in a nice restaurant. Many thanks to Sandra and Dirk, as well as their trainee who prepared my dish.

Seen from the outside, it is a very inconspicuous restaurant, which we can highly recommend. Apart from a few little things, the service is really top and the food is completely convincing. From the inside it has a rustic but also modern charm. The meat was juicy and perfect, hence the 5 star rating. One can only say Top of the Pop's!

We were there yesterday, Saturday December 14th, 2024, with 10 people. Even though almost all the seats were occupied, the service and the preparation of the food worked really well. The food was great! They were actually normal portions that anyone can manage without feeling miserable. The staff was also very friendly and down to earth, especially the owners. The only deduction from the food rating was actually the extremely strong salting of the potato wedges. A bit of pepper or onion flavor would have been better in my opinion

We ate at the Kaiserhof with a large group on a Friday evening and we really enjoyed it. Schnitzel, steak, salads, everything was extremely tasty. The service was very attentive and helpful. The only drawback was that credit card payment was not allowed. Since we had Danes with us who didn't have euros and only had Danish credit cards, payment was difficult. It would be nice if this was communicated in advance so that we could prepare accordingly.

A great team! Very friendly, even with many special requests. The food is very good, the selection is good, but not overly large. This makes it possible to offer a lot of fresh products. The atmosphere is that of an old inn, which is very nice from the outside, but is a bit old on the inside. I like the quaintness, but since it's not for everyone, I only give it 3 stars

We celebrated our daughter's starting school at the Kaiserhof restaurant! It is 100% recommended! The schnitzels and the cordon bleu are simply huge and delicious, the salad and the salmon are simply great and the liver is tender! The team is simply courteous and nice, very helpful! And boss and Cefin are super nice! The price-performance ratio is also absolutely right! We'll definitely be back! Thank you for the great celebration! And not to forget, even the table was beautifully decorated by the boss herself for the school day! Thank you for that too! We look forward to next time!

Great people, great shop, great food

Cozy place! Food good. The staff and the boss are very, very nice and always polite, even when it is full. No long waiting times for drinks and food. Could perhaps be modernized a bit (furniture etc.) But the innkeepers do a lot for Herten and also set up a lot themselves. My respect!

We came here on the recommendation of the receptionist at our hotel and were simply thrilled... Great staff who even knew where we live, 180 km away, very friendly and great with children, a really tasty meal... I had a grilled plate , the hunter's sauce with mushrooms and croquettes from our son were unsurpassed for my taste and my wife also really liked the pepper loin... Freshly tapped Pülleken from the barrel was also very good for me, even though I'm not a beer drinker, and rounded off our visit from here. If we are in the area again we will definitely come back and would like to recommend “Sandra and Dirk in the Kaiserhof” to others 😊

After a good 4 years of regular visits and yesterday's party, I should finally immortalize a few lines here. First of all, what Sandra & Dirk have done with the Kaiserhof in downtown Herten is a real ray of hope in the catering sector here in the area. What really stood out was that for both of them and also the staff, it's not just a job, but that everyone is really passionate about it! The staff is always friendly and attentive. The food is also a pleasure beyond the menu. As already mentioned, you can and should talk to both of them. They make a lot of things possible! After we had often eaten steak, fish, asparagus and pre-ordered paella and were never disappointed, yesterday a Mallorcan buffet for almost 50 people was on the agenda. What can I say? Simply brilliant, authentic, delicious and prepared and prepared with a lot of love! All guests were thrilled. The changing lunch menu also leaves nothing to be desired and, like everything else, has a good price-performance ratio! The two have also lovingly changed and adapted the ambience over time. There are sufficient public paid parking spaces nearby (except on market days). So go in and enjoy!
