I have to say this is the best sushi shop I have ever visited. It doesn't get any more than everything was right. Tip from a professional there. First order a roll of sushi as a starter and then a main course so you can try two things at once!

Unfortunately, the quality has deteriorated significantly. After we've taken various sushi variations and starters from Kai about once a month since it opened and have always been very satisfied, we recently noticed that the quality of the products has deteriorated significantly. The salmon no longer seemed fresh as usual, the portions of the starters became smaller and smaller (very 'calculated' in the portion size) and were not seasoned and tasty as usual. Unfortunately, our order (around €100) was anything but an experience. We noticed that other sushi restaurants have now clearly outpaced the ranking in terms of quality and price/performance. We sincerely hope that the quality will improve again in the future and that this may be due to the holiday emergency staff in the kitchen. It's a shame about the former jewelry box Kai.

Great food, quick service and a toilet that is worth seeing.

I wanted to order food online for delivery for me and my guests, everything worked great in the online shop and the delivery option was available. Then the restaurant called that no delivery was possible and they didn't have a driver. Then why offer delivery at all???

Large selection of dishes, which overwhelmed us a bit. It's nice inside, the ambience is good. Outside it's ok. Located right on a street where there is constant traffic. There are various shopping opportunities next door. It wasn't so good for us because of the considerable background noise. The small children's playground is great. Parking options are plentiful. Because there were many guests present, ordering and delivering them took quite a long time. Overall, I can recommend the restaurant.

The shop is humming every day and therefore it is usually very loud. The food comforts you because it is always fresh and delicious. The service is also quick and unobtrusive. Thanks

Food is good and so is the ambience. Unfortunately, service is not the same and has now become too expensive. Update from July 6, 2024 we only ordered because of the 20% promotion (usually the price is increased and then 20% is given in order to then keep the new higher price, but this time it wasn't really 20%) sushi 🍣 unfortunately falls apart far too easily. And the cold salmon in it was really warm... We had to wait 20 minutes for the food we ordered. Unfortunately, they haven't learned anything. Goodwill is also a foreign word.

Very delicious food, but somewhat slow service and the place was too noisy despite being very nice.

We were here at lunchtime. Attentive, friendly, extremely tasty! Gladly again. It's a bit too loud for me in the evenings when it's full, the acoustics aren't that good. But the food and service were great.

Today, for the first time in a long time, we got the popular dish udong bbq dish to take away twice. The meat for both of them wasn't anywhere near what we've been used to in recent years/unfortunately it was a cutlet like cut-off kebab meat and gristly too. A real shame for the usual quality. Been there for the first time. I was excited! The freshness, the taste, everything is great! I can only recommend it and will definitely go back soon.

Everything just fits: totally friendly and attentive staff, very good sushi and a pleasant atmosphere.

We went here more often to eat or to order and pick up food. On our last visit the service was - as always - very good. It was really busy at the beginning of the evening, but we were still able to order the drinks quickly and received them in a reasonable time. The food was very tasty both visually and in taste. Once again I had a lovely evening here and I'm already looking forward to the next time

Review only refers to the Pho, which was very disappointing, not only did it taste like nothing, but there was actually hardly anything in it. Just coriander and a bit of onion. No sprouts, Thai basil and that for 15€…. In general, in my opinion, inflation is being exploited here. Prices have increased enormously, staff is always super friendly!

The food is delicious. Unfortunately, you have to wait a long time for your order in the restaurant, even when there is little going on. Takeaway sales appear to be taking priority. Price: very expensive, out of proportion. Therefore no recommendation.

Now outrageous price-performance ratio: We ate at Kai Sushi very often and were always very impressed by the food, especially the sushi. But after the VAT increase, the prices went so high that we were very shocked. We told the waitress that we would consider coming here as often in the future as €80-90 for two without wine/beer/cocktails is simply too much. He explained to us that it was 'only' around €1-2 per dish. It wasn't until he did the calculations that he realized that it wasn't just an increase of 12%, but rather almost 25% from €7.90 to €9.90. The last time we got the theoretically warm sushi, cold because the kitchen doesn't communicate with the sushi preparation, it was too much. Here the waiter explained to us, when we asked him to speak up, that he had nothing to say and that old traditions meant that 'young to old are not allowed to say anything!' We tried to clarify the shortcomings and the new price-performance ratio on site, unfortunately without interest => therefore: Info for everyone!

Great food and ambience, gladly again

It's a very nice shop. The food is great, the service is very nice and polite.

Unfortunately, the food has lost a lot of quality since it reopened. It now often happens that the meat is of very poor quality. Prices continue to rise, but food quality declines at the same time. For the umpteenth time I ordered the Juicy Beef, which was very tender meat when it reopened. Yesterday the meat was once again so tough that it was hardly edible, and the quantity is decreasing with each visit. Unfortunately, my last visit to this restaurant ended with a night full of gastrointestinal problems, which is why it was my last visit here. What was positive was the service, which was very friendly.

Impressed with every employee. Very cute, very good at asking about food and drinks (I'm a Thai person who likes service and is great at arranging food dishes). Sushi is Top top top. Will definitely come back again with a group of friends🥰(Low-sweet food Going down a bit would be very good. Especially Laab😅it shouldn't have sugar)

Easily accessible with plenty of parking spaces directly in front of the house. Very friendly waitresses, fast service. The food is very tasty and worth the price. I would love to eat there again.

Fresh, delicious food. We had sushi as a starter, which was freshly prepared and tasted very good. There was also a good selection of warm main courses. The two dishes we had were also excellent and visually appealing. We were there on a Saturday evening and the restaurant was very busy. Luckily we got a table. Hence the recommendation to reserve. The staff was friendly and attentive. I would happily eat there again when I'm in the area.

Delicious, friendly, great atmosphere

Four of us had dinner there today. Ordered all 9 dishes individually and the operator made everything in 2 plates. A dish was forgotten even though we had ordered it and the dish was added to the bill. Everything was mixed up on two plates, we had to share everything and had no idea which one was there and whether everything was there or dishes were simply missing. It's a shame that not all dishes are served individually on the plate. Ambiance is great!! but the price is far too overpriced. We'll think about it if we come there again. LG

Update: Ordered to go again yesterday. Udon noodles 17 euros, the rest of the sushi totaled just under 50 euros. The expensive special sushi was squashed and didn't look appealing. Overall taste ok. The meat in the udon noodles was completely torn and not appealing. Unfortunately I regret these 50 euros again 😕 Oh yes, we also saved on soy sauce. To Go: Food was sometimes really good, sometimes just ok. When making sushi, the avocado sometimes looks a little brown. The warm food was sometimes good, sometimes ok. (Udon BBQ meat was sometimes tasty, sometimes gristly). Yesterday the warm bento box food was unfortunately cold. The wasabi just looks totally artificial. In the bento boxes there is too little sauce, too few vegetables and the vegetables are cut huge. Unfortunately, yesterday the pickup was delayed despite the pickup time. Staff is very nice. Es gibt nichts zum meckern, es war klasse 👍🏽 ich war mit meiner beste Freundin essen unsere typisches Date und es war ein Traum 😍 Personal war sehr freundlich der Kellner, er war sehr aufmerksam und deswegen hat er auch ein gutes Trinkgeld verdient und auch die anderen . Wow 🤩

Essen leider echt grauenhaft! Qualität 6minus Hänchen sehr Knorpelig Vorspeise absolut null Geschmack Ente 🦆 wie die Reste was sonst in den Müll kommen ganz anders als wie auf der Speisekarte beschrieben! Wir gehen dort nie mehr ihn.

Update 13.09.2023: wie fast überall haben die preise deutlich angezogen, was in der aktuellen situation verständlich ist. Leider hat aber auch die qualität der speisen bezüglich der optik und der portionsgröße abgenommen. sehr freundliches personal. die auswahl ist riesig. optisch ansprechend und sehr lecker

Die bestellte Sushi - Mix - Platte war super schön hergerichtet und alles schmeckte frisch und einfach nur perfekt. Das Ambiente war sehr einladend und absolut stimmig in sich. Das gesamte Restaurant und die Toiletten waren sehr sauber. Das gesamte Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit.

Ein sehr schönes Lokal mit sehr leckerem Essen! Ich hatte Sommerrollen und Sushi. Beides was sehr lecker und sehr schön angerichtet.

Nettes Restaurant in Röttenbach bei dem man in der Regel keine Reservierung benötigt. Das Personal ist freundlich wenn auch manchmal nicht aufmerksam genug was Getränke und Nachbestellen angeht. Ansonsten sind die Speisen sehr ansprechend und gut. Kann man uneingeschränkt empfehlen. Vor allem die Sushi Auswahl und die eigenen Kreationen sind empfehlenswert.

Das lokal hat ein sehr gemütliches Ambiente. Durch die großen Fenster kommt viel Licht und wenn man am Fenster sitzt, kann man die Blick sowohl nach draußen schweifen lassen, als auch die liebevoll eingerichteten gut aufgeteilten Innenraum anschauen. Die Speisen haben eine hervorragende Qualität, in manchen ist für meinen Geschmack zu viel Zucker dran.

Durch Zufall sind wir durch Röttenbach gefahren und hier eingekehrt. Waren mehr als positiv überrascht vom Essen. Rosa gegrillte Entenbrust und Tofu mit Erdnuss-Kokosmilchsoße waren perfekt gegart und toll präsentiert. Der Service war super. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder hier her 🤩

Sehr schönes Restaurant mit Asiatischer Küche und frischem Sushi. Hätte ich an der Location eigentlich nicht erwartet, da es direkt in einem Discountergebiet liegt. Hat aber den Vorteil vieler Parkplätze vor dem Haus. Das Curry war sehr lecker mit frischem Gemüse und sehr schön angerichtet. Gerne werde ich hier mal wieder vorbei schauen

Leider hat das mit der telefonischen Reservierung nicht geklappt, netterweise haben wir trotzdem einen Tisch für 2 Personen bekommen. Wie mussten über eine halbe Stunde auf unserer Vorspeise ( Sushi = kalt) warten,da scheinbar so viele telefonische und online Bestellungen zum abholen vor Ort waren, da bleibt wohl leider keine Zeit mehr für die eigenen Gäste. ( Aussage von der Bedienung,sie haben so viel mit den Bestellungen zu tun,da müssen wir wohl warten ) Endlich kommt das bestellte Sushi....Kaum die letzten Krümel vom Teller gegessen, wurde der kurzerhand unter einem weggezogen und auch schon promt das Hauptgericht serviert. ( Ohne Absprache) Das mittlerweile leider nur noch lauwarm war ( Curry) und bereits erste Häutchen auf der Soße hatte. Mein Hauptgericht war ein Wildkräuter Curry mit Süßkartoffeln und Kürbis . Leider waren in dem Curry weder die versprochenen Wildkräuter,noch Süßkartoffeln oder Kürbis zu finden! Das Essen war für die Asiatische Küche sehr fade,mit kaum Geschmack. Das Sushi war ok. Schade, für solche überteuerten Preise, erwarte ich etwas mehr. Wir waren insgesamt ca 60 Min in dem Restaurant, davon 30 Min aufs Essen gewartet,und die restlichen 30 Minuten haben sich dann Vorspeise und Hauptgericht geteilt,was einfach viel zu schnell ging. Wir werden definitiv nicht mehr kommen.

Rundum empfehlenswert!!! Preis-Leistung, Qualität und der Service sind top. Außerdem ist das Online-Bestelltool super praktisch und wir haben bisher noch nie warten müssen. Lieblingsrestaurant in der Gegend.

Sehr schönes Ambiente. Passend dazu wird auch das Sushi optisch ansprechend hergerichtet. Die Spezialrollen haben es preislich in sich. Daher empfehle ich entweder die in der Karte vorhandenen Sushi-Mix zu wählen, oder sich selbst eine Platte aus den günstigeren „normalen“ Rollen zu erstellen. Ist man dazu bereit mehr Geld für eine der Spezialrollen auszugeben wird man nicht enttäuscht. Für den durchschnittlichen Sushi-Genießer werden die normalen Rollen aufgrund ihrer hohen Qualität allerdings allemal ausreichen.

Das Essen ist spitze. Leider liegen viele Mücken o.ä. herum (z.B. am Fenster direkt neben dem Tisch. Die Getränke kamen schnell, das Essen erst ca. 50 Min später.
