Great store, great location, great staff. The food is just wow - every dish a 10/10, what an interesting selection of ceviche, tacos, beef tataki etc. Drinks are also top (Yuzu Sake Spritz, Hammer). We actually wanted to go out to eat somewhere else today and spontaneously discovered the shop while walking, scanned the menu with interest and got a great table. And don't regret staying here. We'll definitely be back. Thanks :)

Wonderful dinning in nice and convenient location with cool interior. Friendly staff. 100% suitable for youngers. Dishes were over my expectations. Fresh and nicely made. All sauces were impressively delicious. Tacos were so special. Sure to be back on next trip to Berlin.

Another wonderful new discovery. The selection of dishes. The Asian style is also very good and the service is very accommodating. We sat outside. Value for money is right. It is highly recommended.

The food was good, but too expensive considering the small portions. The worst part however was how long we had to wait for the food and how long we had to wait for someone to notice that we wanted to pay and leave at the end of the meal. The place was not even that busy while we were there, there should have been no excuse for such long waits.

Good food and a nice place to sit and people watch. You can order a big fish, but I would advise to take multiple smaller items.

I would not advise anyone to go to this restaurant. The portion size is a joke and we as customers are a part of that joke because the joke is on us!!!. I will never eat here again. Better to go to Transit. The food is better.

Seriously delicious food, amazing drinks (the Yuzu sparkler is divine!), impeccable service and magical Interieurs, both inside and outside. Great for people watching and for a little romantic stroll at the Maybachufer after dinner.

4 stars but with a lot of room for improvement. Given the prices and the very fancy place we expected a more attentive and even a little faster service. The wine and water were room temperature, considering the 25 degrees of the evening..🥵. Positive note, all the dishes were very good. The menu is varied and very interesting. However, we will return to try other dishes.

If you know… you know. If you dont, now you do. Tapas Review 1. charcoal chicken popcorn Texture was good for the batter. The actual chicken could’ve been marinated - there was a lemon wedge but the flavor was lacking. Maybe making the mayonaise a bit more lemony would help but basically, by ordering this dish you are playing it safe. 2. squid with watermelon Be warned the watermelon is slippery!! The watermelon pieces are cut a bit too big. Making it difficult to eat with chopsticks. Squid was super yummy. Ideally they would toss the calamari in the sauce and then garnish with fresh watermelon in terms of the layering of flavor. The idea of combining the two flavors is really exciting but the execution was lacking. 3. truffle spinach cod roe salad Keeping on trend with this flavour combination this dish is simple and delicious. 4. kim chi yum. 5. beef tartare Where to start… Too warm, under salted and served with a bread that was prominently soft and sweet meant that the delicate flavor of tartare was totally missed. Slightly cooler tartare and a crisp and better made bread would elevate this dish. If you are a lover of tartare, as it is now, it does not come recommended. 6. Sweet potato fries On the chunkier side of fries. Skinless, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside made these some seriously delicious fries! The drinks were good. Cocktails on point. Going again? Yes, but not for a full range of tapas dishes. A snack of something accompanying drinks - perfekt. Side note: waiters super cute & accommodating. vibe & location was fantastic. A smile will take you far in this establishment.

Calm place although it's at a roads' intersection. Very nice and quick service. The food is great, with veggie options (with a discount). I got veggie gyozas and a tofu miso. The rice was perfectly cooked. It seems banal to say but it's a rarity. Thanks!

A very interesting and, in my opinion, successful combination of European and Asian cuisine! Fresh products in bright combinations called the fashionable word fusion will give you an unforgettable experience that you will definitely want to repeat. Framed by attentive but not intrusive service, dishes can pleasantly complement your date or meeting with friends. The establishment is suitable for a special occasion and for every day. The menu also includes basic cocktails and natural wines, which perfectly contrast and complement the taste of the dishes. Sometimes it can be a little noisy, but there is a lot of seating both outside and inside, there is enough space for privacy. I really liked the cut and taste of the tartare, as well as the interesting and very rich crispy tacos. This is not the first time I come and definitely not the last time!

Excellent food, absent service. We dined outdoors in the evening, on a table without tablecloth or placemats that no one cleaned; with a broken chair, two napkins between three (we asked for them twice), water for the dog requested and never received, table completely in the dark, without a lamp or a candle (once the sun went down YOU COULDN'T SEE THE FOOD, times very long wait: the waiter was only prompt in showing how to add the tip to the payment. Too bad.

food was good but nothing spectacular although it looks great on paper on the menu. the service was also not the best, food arrived in such a random order and some dishes were cold. we got the entrees after the mains were served. the location is great, but overall there’s room for improvement

Today you went overboard with your summer party. The idea was great, but if every guest has to ask for their orders an average of 8 times and additional tables are delivered with a Miles at the same time so that even more guests can be accommodated, that exceeds your capacity.

Quite bad service. We weren’t served for a very long time until we asked. We then got the wrong coffee so had to ask for the right one which they then seemed to forget about until we asked again whether it was coming. The oat milk coffee was nice when it arrived though

The place is really nice, it's also very charming to sit there on a Sunday. I ordered the padthai, not bad but it was just okay. Other dishes sounded interesting such the mushrooms dish... maybe they are better. Must admit food is 🍽️ beautifully. Service was friendly

We came a second time after trying out just the drinks once. The drinks were pretty good. Regarding the food however I have to say that it seems to me the usually hyped Berlin restaurant where the food is just plated nicely and where they don’t really care about the taste. The Crab temaki had a spicy sauce that completely covered the flavour of the fish. On the other side the fungi forest was basically just fried tofu with tasteless mushrooms and a tasteless sweet potato puree. In conclusion: more than a restaurant I would suggest to go for the cocktails.

The Kai Maison is a currently very popular Korean restaurant on the Maybachufer with a beautiful, large outdoor area. It is always full here, especially on the cozy summer evenings. The service is top. Food and drinks are also really tasty. Absolutely recommended!👍😃

Admittedly, our start - Kai Maison and I - wasn't that ideal: Since I wanted to eat here on the evening of my birthday, I had reserved a table in advance. When we got there that evening, it had recently started to rain heavily, so all the guests rushed inside and the hut was full inside. Of course there was no table reserved for us there, and when I commented that I had reserved a reservation especially for this case, I only received a mushy "The other guests have all reserved too!" (which they obviously didn't have) and after a short wait we were assigned a "cat table" in the aisle. Actually, I was so well served here that I would have liked to leave again. But: luckily not!! We then ordered the Kai Maison Tasting Menu, which consists of 3 starters, 2 entrees, 2 different main courses and 2 desserts. And - I don't even know what to say!! I can't remember the last time I ate so well!! Almost every dish is a small revelation. I particularly liked the udon soup, but also the two meat dishes were each more delicious than the other. Likewise the desserts. And after a short time at the "cat table" we were offered a nice table with a view outside, where we could spend the next 2 hours in the restaurant, and the service staff were much friendlier for the rest of the evening than when we arrived.

We visited Kai Maison Berlin and were positively surprised by the flavors we found there. They offer a fusion menu mixing Asian and French cuisines. The menu is very varied with seafood, poultry, soups, meat main dishes and a special lunch menu at very affordable prices. Obviously, being in Berlin, they also have a wide variety of vegan dishes to try like tapas, taking several portions and tasting all the flavors of the house. The highlights were the starter called “Black Tori Karage” (Japanese style chicken) and the vegan “Fungi Forest” which is a collection of different mushrooms in a delicious sauce. For dessert we got the mango panna cotta, which was perfectly refreshing. In addition to the food, the location is also incredible with beautiful decor and tables on the street overlooking the famous Maybachufer, great for watching Berliners coming and going.

The food was delicious, the location is nice. Unfortunately my glass wasn't clean, the table wasn't wiped down either... the service was a bit disappointing, as soon as we arrived we were poorly received (male waiter, no smile, seemed annoyed), at first we couldn't get in, then we left Yes, he didn't know either (it was almost empty inside) even though we made a reservation. Later, the service seemed a bit uninterested, the waiter who served us didn't even smile at us but seemed annoyed, even though we were really easy customers and ordered food for over €100 plus drinks. We felt like they wanted to get rid of us as soon as possible, even though we were only there for an hour. Well, not anymore then.

The food was nothing remarkable; when you look at the menu, it all looks fantastic, but what you receive is rather dull, and the quality is not good either. We ordered the ceviche, which was too warm; the tempura was soaked in mayo, the duck was raw, and the aubergine was a tiny slide of aubergine baked in the oven with some vegetables, something you can easily do at home. At the end of the dinner, with two entrances and two main dishes, we were still so hungry that we ended up in the pizza place in front of the restaurant. Disappointing, I won't be coming back, that is certain!

We were very positively surprised because we just wanted to eat something under the sun. Great compilations. The service wasn't quite as attentive but very nice. If my food had been a little warmer, it would have been 5 points overall - unfortunately it was empty, so I would have thought that was good... the freshly mixed teas are unfortunately really sweet, but I guess it has to be that way... Overall, very great and also sufficient portions!

Always loud at the Maybachufer, curbside street place and it is crowded, but you know Berlin. The food was very good, price value is normal. The quality of ingredients and the composition verifies it for me. The beauty is complete with the dishes. The waiting staff was friendly, helpful and quick. A personal connection is not possible, it was too crowded.

Got here whilst walking around the neighbourhood and looked like an interesting place. We ordered two set menus and a wonton soup on top to our server’s surprise and polished it all! Not that the portions were small but the food was very good and we were hungry. The service was very good and the server voluntarily informed us that we might have over ordered, which were happy about 😅 Ate the curry with crispy chicken, pad thai, summer roll, gyoza and wonton soup. All were really yummy!

Wow!! We were visiting a friend who recommended this restaurant to us. The Kai Maison is located directly on the Landwehr Canal, on the Maybachufer. A Japanese-French restaurant. The ambience was authentic and beautiful. The waitresses were very attentive and quick. And the food was excellent, I haven't eaten anything so good in a long time. Really! It's definitely worth a visit. You have to know.

Dieses Restaurant ist noch ein echter Geheimtipp in Berlin. Das Essen schmeckt fantastisch, das Interior Design ist toll und die Mitarbeitenden sehr freundlich. Wir hatten das Tasting Menü für 45.- pro Person. Es hat sich mehr als gelohnt, denn man bekommt etwa 7 Gerichte plus 2 Desserts, die man sich dann teilen kann. Alle Gänge haben sehr gut geschmeckt und waren abwechslungsreich. Vor allem die knusprigen Tacos, den Spinatsalat und die Ente fand ich sehr lecker. Würde auf jeden Fall wiederkommen.

Worst food poisoning of my life! I had the wanton soup and some salmon, and tbh it did taste a bit funny, but thought this might be their advertised french/asian touch ...anyway, the hours afterwards were just terrible. Maybe I had just bad luck, and it usually is as great as some reviewers suggest...but frankly, the whole place to me seemed quite pretentious but without any culiary substance. And honestly, I do not want to know what their kitchen looks like from the inside or how/where they store their ingredients... Waiters were friendly (but slow), location is quite nice (but noisy due to street traffic)...but all that doesn't really matter when the food makes you sick.

Great service, vibes, and food! They only have a few vegan options, but they are good! Would really recommend the stuffed tofu and sweet potato fries (mayo is not vegan). We only tried 2 drinks but they were both so good, I would come back here to try more!

What a terrible experience. While the location is good, the portions are small and the wait staff is incompetent. It took over two hours for our food to come.

Food ok, but service has to be upgraded. Waited over 2 hours for our food:/ Yesterday I booked a table for 6, since friends were visiting. First, they couldn’t find our table. 3 different waiters trying to figure out where to sit us only to find the table with our name on it 5 minutes later. We ordered food and drinks, the drinks and one starter came pretty late - all right, the restaurant was packed, but it wasn’t the worst yet. We’ve waited over 2 hours for our mains, reminding the waiters every 15 minutes - each time it seemed to be a different waiter, who just nodded and disappeared with no explanation. Finally one guy started looking into our order, telling us, that probably the other person didn’t even take our order in the first place🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Finally, the food (pad Thai and temaki) arrived around 22:00, while we ordered at 19:30-19:40. No real apologies, no drinks on the house or at least some kind of friendliness or client loyalty. When we payed the waiter pointed out at the tip option - no, thank you, sir. The food was ok, but I couldn’t enjoy it anymore:( The evening was a bit ruined by this experience.

We went there spontaneously for dinner last night. The dishes were really tasty and the service was very friendly. Unfortunately, the portions were far too small for our liking and the high price. We left the restaurant hungry and when we expressed our criticism at the end, unfortunately there was no offer of compensation...a bit of a shame. Otherwise a great shop.

Came in with a group of friends last Friday and the vibe was immaculate! The food was delish. A creative take of Vietnamese fusion. We definitely had ton of fun and enjoyed our night! Make sure you try the Karage, Ceviche, and all of the tacos when you're here. We also got bottles of wine and they were yummy! 😛 Quy was our host for the night and can i just say: ✨ WHAT. A. VIBE ✨ He definitely brought the party and good energy to the table. Would definitely return when I'm back in Berlin. Overall, highly recommended! 💯

Absolutely loved the whole experience! The food and service was absolutely amazing. We had the eggplants and you should really not miss on that, it tastes so delicious. We also enjoyed all the other dishes, really everything was super well done, delicious and we would definitely recommend to come here. Also to sit here outdoors feels a little bit like being in Paris, absolutely loved the vibe.

The place has a great atmosphere and food was amazing! However, the service was not at this level which is unfortunate. We had to ask the waitress to clean the table and turn on the candle. They served the entrance and we didn’t have plates or cutlery. We had to stand up to get the desserts menu. And the restaurant was far from full. If service improves I think this place could be incredible!

Super creative dishes; many new interpretation for classic dishes and drinks. Really tasty. also the service was top and the location with the street sitting is super. Highlights: The tuna with the truffle starter and the shrip taco.

Unfortunately not a good experience. Food was good. Service very poor. We already got the main course while we were still working on the starters. There is no contact with the controls, they are just running. When we go out to eat, we find the service just as important as the quality of the food. We booked through The Fork with a 30% discount. This was not applied. After some discussion, eventually yes. Low rating due to poor service.

Nice service, nice atmosphere, good location. Food okay. Vegan poorly excellent and little choice. No vegan dessert and all I had left as a starter was miso soup and spinach. I ate it with sweet potato fries but unfortunately the mayo isn't vegan either. Won't come back. My colleagues had the three vegan dishes they have and were very satisfied. The tea with dates is delicious.

We visited Kai Maison the other day. It was crowded outside, but we got a table inside the restaurant. The first alarming thing was that we had to wait for 20 minutes to make an order. For some reason, waiters did pay attention to the people who got in after us, and they got their orders taken first. We had to ask to make an order three times, so finally the third waiter took it. The food took another 30–40 minutes to get to us (starter and main course arrived together). The food was okay, but definitely not worth the high price (higher than in other restaurants in the area). And then it took them another 25 minutes to bring us a bill. Waiters were running around, entirely ignoring our attempts to get their attention. We had to ask three times to get a bill, until a waiter finally brought it to us. This was a very disappointing experience, especially seeing the good rating of this restaurant.

Ordered beef tartare, miso soup (tofu). Beef tartare wasn't the best and the miso soup was average. On the street tables for the outside. Spent more than I expected for the little I got. Overall nothing special

We bought tacos and a miniature thing arrived. It was ridiculously small, we couldn’t even get a taste of it.. It was 5-6 euros.. Soft drinks were very expensive as well even though the bottles were small. At the end we spent 20 euros for nothing.. If you want to waste your money you can go there. Or instead you can choose a cool place to eat tasty food for good price.. I mean you are in Kreuzberg after all.. I didn’t understand how they have this high rating…

Food was so good, really underrated the restaurant. Corn chicken with the corn sauce was incredibly tasty and the tacos were so crispy and fresh at the same time. First the positive: the shop is nice and hip and the service people are very friendly. Unfortunately, the service was extremely planned, brought the wrong things and then ended up adding them to the bill anyway. The food was particularly disappointing. One dish (the Pad Thai) was okay, the other (Yuzu Nasu Tokyo) was a complete failure. The tofu was barely marinated, the aubergines didn't taste like anything and everything was swimming in a sauce/broth that unfortunately didn't taste particularly good either. It wasn't particularly pretty visually either. Maybe the meat dishes are the reason for the many good reviews, but I won't be coming back.

The place is nicely done, but nothing more. Service was nice, but very scheduled. Even to the extent that things were on the invoice that were not ordered. Unfortunately the food was subpar. The eggplant with asparagus didn't taste like anything and was basically just a small vegetable soup - the Pad Thai was OK, but both dishes were far too expensive for what they were. I won't come back again.
