kAffé dAdA in Regensburg

Unfortunately, after the change of tenant, not much remained of the original dada. The menu is now quite manageable, fries and burgers are now completely missing. The soy schnitzel with potato salad is not my favorite, but the gyros are really tasty. Plus point for the staff, they were really very friendly. Maybe something new on the menu will be developed in the future? The toilets are very modern and clean, there are even free tampons, but there isn't a single sticker left on the wall. It's a shame somehow. Overall there isn't much charm left. I used to feel like I was going to *the* vegan/vegetarian restaurant in Regensburg, but today it's just *a* vegan/vegetarian restaurant.

Ohohoh, unfortunately something went very wrong in the development of what was then a really great café or restaurant. When I was a student, it was very cozy and uncomplicated with a diverse menu of purely vegetarian and vegan dishes (a unique selling point in Regensburg back then). Yesterday we were there again. We took a seat outside and first of all had to notice that the menu had shrunk significantly (no longer a large selection of delicious-sounding and tasting burgers) - the main thing is that the dishes sound chic and fancy. We were also ignored for 20 minutes, so we left again and enjoyed ourselves in exile. Such a shame!! It used to be such a friendly shop that I remembered well. Everything’s changing and unfortunately not always for the better.

Friendly tip: you should consider healthy way of cooking. Such as roasting or boiling with water instead of frying. Vegeterian meals with oily or fried versions. I had spinach dumplings and beetroot. It was delicious but oily.

A very nice little restaurant with vegan and vegetarian dishes. They offer lunch specials daily in addition to the standard menu. Today we had vegan mac and cheese and a vegan steak with fried potatoes. Both highly recommended! The team is very friendly and attentive, and they have good taste in music. We'll be back every time we visit Regensburg :)

I'm really sad and disappointed about what happened to Café Dada. That was THE vegan restaurant in Regensburg - but unfortunately Dada is no longer anything special. The reopening broke the vegan hearts of me and my entire group of friends. We were all loyal customers and it was our favorite restaurant. Trying the new monthly burger was our monthly ritual. Now we'll probably have to look for another restaurant. Prices have increased slightly while portions have become smaller. The selection is limited, and the burgers and fries – once Café Dada's hallmarks – have simply disappeared. Inside everything seems completely soulless. What happened to the interior and the whole atmosphere? I really hope the burgers come back – or at least a bit more creativity comes into play, both in the menu and in the ambience.

We ate at dada today, four of us plus two small children. The service was very friendly. There were even two high chairs for our kids, which was great. Ate the ceviche, the vitella thonnato and schnitzel with potato salad. Everything went super fast & was very tasty. You can just tell that cooking is done with love ☺️ Finally, we treated ourselves to a piece of marble cake, which was also delicious and super juicy. The atmosphere was relaxed and the new owners are very friendly. Absolutely clear recommendation! 🧡

We were there with four people shortly after the reopening. The menu is very small, which we thought was a shame, no more burgers :( We once had the gyros, which we all found way too salty and unfortunately it was very burnt. The stuffed schnitzel with potato salad, on the other hand, was rather bland. There were only potatoes and onions in the potato salad. We would have wished for even more. More vinegar, more salt, cucumbers, herbs whatever. We all really liked the chocolate mouse with pear! Never eaten something so good. The restaurant is rather simple, a bit cool and uncomfortable. It used to be more pleasant and friendly. Toilets renovated. Looks good, but wasn't necessary. Overall, there is still room for improvement, we are hoping for a larger menu (hopefully with a burger) and will give Dada a second chance. We'll be back in a few weeks!

Open and friendly service meets refined cuisine with that certain something. A recommendation for anyone who likes to think outside the box!

We were here for lunch today and were completely satisfied. The restaurant itself is stylishly decorated and feels inviting and well-maintained. The service was very friendly. We had starters, main courses, and desserts, and everything arrived promptly and was absolutely delicious. Even my daughter, who isn't usually a fan of vegan food, really tucked into it this time 😅 The vegan macaroni and cheese and the apple pie were particularly delicious. We'd love to come back!

The name is the only thing that remains of the great restaurant. After a change of management and a renovation, nothing remains of the original ambience. The light is bright, the atmosphere is sterile. Very hard on the eyes and spoils my appetite. Good. Give the new start a chance and look at the map. The fear becomes the black truth on the white, almost blank paper. The offer is now limited to a few dishes. No chilli cheese soy burger with the option for vegan cheese. No perfectly fried fries with ketchup and vegan mayo. In short, a complete change and certainly the right thing for certain people. Unfortunately not for me Unfortunately, I didn't take a photo of the new card because my girlfriend and I ran away disappointed. I mourn the loss of the old Kaffee Dada and still wish the new management much success. If the menu is expanded to include burgers and fries or more dishes in general, I can imagine visiting the restaurant again. Best regards

Dada isn't what it used to be, and that makes me extremely sad. The relaxed atmosphere and the family atmosphere were important to me. Where has all that gone? It used to be a cool, left-wing, green-soiled place. What happened? And where have the fries gone?!?

Very relaxed and cute café/restaurant :) The menu only contains vegetarian and vegan dishes, which are well implemented here. The variation and taste are tasty, but not outstanding. The prices and portion sizes are also really fair for vegan food.

Nice little café, centrally located in the city and yet a bit away from the hustle and bustle of the tourist crowds. Selection of in-house, vegan cakes and tarts, very good coffee. We didn't try the main courses ourselves, but they looked delicious at the neighboring tables.

Great little cafe, most dishes are vegan and there were very few people at 6pm on Friday, so the service was very fast, and the food delicious 😋

kAffé dAdA🤩 Actually always very good vegan/vegetarian food. The service could sometimes be a little faster. But all in all you can't complain. Price/performance is right. I always enjoy coming here. Soy steak burger❤️

Total coincidence that I stopped by here hungry and tired. What luck! Cappuccino (with milk) great. Vegan steak burger with mustard sauce is great. Very fresh salad great. I am completely happy and would be happy to recommend the café. Oh yes, I'm not vegan and I still found the burger heavenly.

Every time I visit my colleague in Regensburg I come here. Always good service and a pleasant atmosphere. Food is good, but the level varies. The gnocchi with cream sauce and chicory yesterday wasn't seasoned well for my taste. Sauce too much white wine & the chicory was way too bitter and a little burnt which didn't go well with the gnocchi. Of course tastes differ, but my colleague also had the same opinion. For the prices, I would like the food to be more consistent. When the service was reported, it was accepted without comment. In general, I would just like to praise the service, quick, polite & courteous. I would be happy to come back next time and hopefully leave with 5 stars this time! :)

NOT VEGAN AND RUDE!!! We ordered the vegan gyros with vegan mayo three times. We were brought non-vegan mayo. Only after we ate a bit did we notice that the mayo's were different colors. When we asked, the waitress noticed that we had been given non-vegan mayo. Nevertheless, you had to pay for the meal even though there was still a lot of the portion left and you couldn't eat any more from that point on because it was simply no longer vegan. Not having to pay for the meal would have been the least. (Not only the person with the non-vegan mayo) After the second person paid, the waitress simply started pocketing the overpaid money as a tip. I pointed out to you that I didn't want to give a tip for such poor service, and then I was loudly slapped with 10 cents on the table, which was far too little for my change. Only when I insisted again on getting the money I had paid too much back was the correct amount given back to us. The employee now only communicates with us loudly and disrespectfully. The person who was brought the non-vegan dish was even banned from the house. By the way, she is still feeling very poorly because she has an allergy to animal proteins. Just totally outrageous and sad how we were treated there. We will never come back and do not recommend this store to anyone.

Great place for vegetarians/vegans. Their coffee is delicious and other milk options are offered. The food there is delicious and overall it's not very expensive. The staff is extremely friendly and even though it's a little small, you can also sit outside and I love the atmosphere.

Would be received with askance, not even greeted and treated like a subhuman. I have a migration background and the waitress really made me feel that I wasn't welcome. Sorry, your stickers of education and solidarity are of no use if your employees treat people as if they were underground.

As always good. Yesterday I had goulash soup again (and a few fries for crunch 😅🤣) my blackheads had Shepard's pie and gyros, both of which were very happy.

Small, fine vegan/vegetarian restaurant. Reservation is an advantage if you want a place in the evening. Particularly noteworthy is the good beer selection. You can't get a good Weizenbock everywhere.

Went to the store on a Sunday afternoon. Were served very quickly and the nice young man in the pink shirt was very personable and sweet! Food was very good. Gladly again!

The service is nice; however, the coffee shop is a bit small; it was crowded. They only accept cash; no credit card. And they provide you the check hand written. The price is fair though, and the coffee shop is located at the Arnulfsplaz, west of the Old City in Regensburg. I invited some friends, we ordered a couple of espresso and cappuccino, and the check was around 20 EUR. I can't tell about the food, because we was there for a coffee.

I ate the best vegan gyros here that I can imagine. The cakes tasted excellent as a dessert and I can only recommend them.

Ich möchte meiner Vorrednerin zustimmen. Vor drei Jahren hat das sicher noch gegolten, heute ist Bio Barista Hafer Drink nicht mehr viel teurer als Bio Milch, wenn überhaupt. Auch das Argument, der Hafer Drink wird selten gewählt und muss daher öfter weggeworfen werden, zählt bei Euch nicht. In einem vegetarisch/veganen Restaurant/Cafe ist das nicht mehr zeitgemäß.

Wir sind mit dem Essen und dem Service eigentlich immer super zufrieden, aber in einem vegan/vegetarischen Café einen Aufpreis für Milchalternativen zu verlangen ist echt frech…

Wir waren bei einem Besuch in Regensburg im kAffé dAdA bevor es mit dem Zug zurück nach Hause ging und bereuen, nicht eher hergekommen zu sein. Wir hatten das Schnitzel und Gyros und beides war super lecker. Natürlich musste es hinterher noch ein Stück Kuchen geben, wenn schon jeder Kuchen der Auslage vegan war - wann hat man schon mal so eine Auswahl?! Wir hatten die Pfirsichtorte und sie war perfekt, das bekommt keine Konditorei besser hin. Der Kaffee und das alkoholfreie Bier waren auch sehr lecker. Alles ausnahmslos zu empfehlen. Dazu noch der tolle Service und das Ambiente - Wir kommen wieder, wenn es uns wieder nach Regensburg verschlägt! 💙

ich war mit meiner Enkelin (Vegetarierin) dort, die das Lokal im internet gefunden hatte. Hat uns recht gut gefallen, Personal nett und freundlich. Ich habe gebratene Chicoree gegessen mit "rahmiger" Soße, Zwiebeln und ..... was das andere war, hab ich vergessen, aber es war gut. Preise annehmbar. Wir waren jedenfalls zufrieden.

Sehr lecker, vegetarische/Veganer Küche, angenehme Atmosphäre, sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, essen war super, Preis/Leistungsverhältnis hat auch gepasst (2 Getränke und 2 Hauptspeisen bei ca 35€). Empfehle ich sehr.

Mega leckere, vegane Gerichte. Kleiner, sympathischer Laden, man könnte sagen links-grün-versifft. Total super.

Super vegane Auswahl (wechselnde Speisekarte mit Burgern und anderen Hauptgerichten) und freundliches Personal. Die Kuchen sind ebenfalls sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen seit 2019 immer wieder gern vorbei.

Leckere vegetarische und vegane Gerichte (leider aber zumeist nur mit Soja), dazu wurden wir wirklich gut bedient. Nix zu meckern! Der Name verspricht aber leider mehr Ambiente als das Lokal dann bietet.

Nettes kleines Café, könnte sauberer sein, ist leider etwas staubig. Essen ist ganz ok, burger kam mir etwas trocken vor, Preis Leistung definitiv gut, einer der wenigen orte in Regensburg wo es veganes gibt. Service will einen kurz nachdem man fertig ist aber Recht schnell "loswerden" obwohl nicht viel im Restaurant los ist.

Einfach ein Muss für jeden Veganer in Regensburg! Jedes Gericht schmeckt einfach unfassbar gut und auch jeder Nicht-Veganer war begeistert! Die Mitarbeiter sind auch extrem nett und ich komme immer wieder gerne!!

Das Dada ist mein mit Abstand liebstes Restaurant in Regensburg! Jedes Gericht, das ich bisher bestellt hab, war unglaublich lecker. Auch das Personal ist super!

Die vegane Kuchen waren sehr lecker. Der Cappucino kam leider schon ziemlich kalt bei uns an.

Sehr leckere Gerichte, die man häufig als vegane oder vegetarische Variante bekommt. Vom Burger über gut bürgerliche Gerichte bis zum Curry ist für jeden etwas dabei. Die Bedienung war super freundlich

ein sehr cooler vibe erwartete meine freundin und mich, als wir in das kleine, aber sehr schön gestaltete "kAffé dAdA" kamen. wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, der service und das essen waren hervorragend. das soja-steak auf meinem burger war zum verwechseln nah, am "original fleisch". weitere besuche stehen bei zukünftigen regensburg besuchen auf alle fälle auf der to-do liste!

Trotz Aufhebung der Maßnahmen besteht das Lokal auf 2G und das sogar im Außenbereich. Ich werde kein Lokal unterstützen, in welchem Menschen aufgrund ihres Status nicht essen dürfen. Das ist gerade für ein Lokal, welches unter anderem für Toleranz steht, absolut nicht zu verstehen. Ich bin sehr enttäuscht und werde daher dieses Lokal in meinem Leben nicht mehr betreten und auch meinem Bekannten- und Freundeskreis davon erzählen. Schade darum, wir haben nicht nur gerne dort gegessen, sondern auch immer viel Geld dort gelassen. Und wir haben auch wirklich viele Menschen dorthin mitgebracht. Aber in einer Zeit wo es sowieso soviel Spaltung gibt, kann ich eine solche Regelung nicht verstehen.

Personal unfreundlich. Wurden öfter nicht bedient trotz 30 min warten. Schade da eigentlich das vegane Essen mega gut ist.

Wir haben in diesem Café im Außenbereich einen schönen Tisch bekommen. Für meine kleine Tochter wurden anstandslos ein paar Nudeln mit Margarine, als Kinderportion, zubereitet. Meine Frau und ich ließen uns den vegetarischen Chilli-Cheeseburger mit Pommes schmecken, der wirklich ausgezeichnet gewürzt war. Brötchen, das Pattie und die Pommes waren super lecker. Dazu tranken wir ein Dinkelradler, welches auch sehr zu empfehlen ist. Die Preise für die Burger waren mit knapp 5,60€ + 3€ für Pommes sehr moderat und auf jeden Fall super mit der guten Qualität vereinbar. Wir kommen gerne, während diesem oder einem kommenden Urlaub in Regensburg, noch einmal wieder.

Immer wieder super leckere Tagesgerichte. Freundliches Personal und es geht immer schnell. Auch Fleischesser werden zufrieden sein! Mein liebstes Gericht ist der Gyrosteller.
