Food & Drink: In short: Superb. From the appetizer to the dessert, everything was a perfect match. We started with fava beans, mushroom butter, and pickles. This was followed by braised beef with red cabbage and potato-celery mash, and then the savoy cabbage and sweet potato gratin. For dessert, we enjoyed a pear tart. The presentation was beautiful. The flavors were perfectly balanced. Textures and cooking times were spot on, and everything was fresh. Nothing was too heavy or over-seasoned. The temperature, portion sizes, and satisfying portions were just right. It's also worth noting that Polka places great emphasis on the origin of its ingredients and communicates this transparently. The ingredients appeared to be high-quality and seasonally selected. Service: The service is warm, attentive, and professional. The warmth felt genuine and not forced. You can tell that the team enjoys being hosts and works well together. Ambiance/Atmosphere: Polka has a warm, cozy ambiance that is immediately inviting. The decor, with its retro furniture, wooden tables, wooden chairs, and a bench, is charming and down-to-earth. However, the chairs we sat on weren't particularly comfortable; after two hours, our backs started to feel it. The lighting is warm and atmospheric, the brightness is just right, creating a calm yet lively ambiance. The noise level is perfect. You can easily have a conversation without raising your voice and without feeling like you're being overheard. The temperature was ideal, and there were no drafts. Upon entering, a light aroma of cheese from the gratin wafted through the air, immediately whetting our appetites. Overall, the atmosphere is open and welcoming, encouraging sharing. Conclusion / Overall Rating: Polka is a place you'll want to linger. The food is outstanding, the service is warm and friendly, and the atmosphere is inviting.

The Görreshof is a traditional German inn in Schwabing. Food: They offer a wide selection of classic hot inn dishes such as schnitzel and roast meats, salads, and cold cuts. We had spinach dumplings and pasta with mushroom sauce; both were exceptionally delicious and plentiful. Service: Super fast and attentive service in Bavarian traditional dress. Atmosphere: Cozy, rustic, and authentic. The inn simply has charm.
