Lovely place. We thought it only a bar, but they offer variety of dishes so calling it just a bar dont make it justice. everything was delicious and the waitress was super friendly despite the language barrier.

Great sports bar. Staff on point. Delicious Jägerschnitzel eaten on site at a reasonable price.

Great place cocktails and sausage salad

We went to the Germany European Championship game against Switzerland in the beer garden. It was a great atmosphere. The food was very good! I have rarely had such a delicious Jägerschnitzel! The young lady who served us was friendly, quick and very correct. The prices are very fair, especially for BH standards! Otherwise very clean and tidy. You can tell that the Jocker is in family hands! My recommendation for the “6th star” is a good red wine. The Rioja is ok but modest! This could be a Cabernet, Primitivo or Merlot.

Absolutely unfriendly staff. There were 7 of us, each of us ordered a soft drink and we had 2 fries. Then the waitress tells us that we didn't order enough, which would be okay if she had said it in a normal tone. Instead she says “I can do without customers like you (3 friends were Germans with a migration background) what kind of behavior is that”, 2nd statement “You never have to come back”. So when you hear statements like that, you don't want to stay in there anymore. I still recommend you take a look for yourself.

Perfect place if you chase the western-german vibe. The interior is beautifully rustic, the bartender/waiter girl is extremely helpful and cheerful. I had a Frankfurter Schnitzel mit gebratene Kartoffeln which was just extraordinary! The souce is magic, the schnitzel exactly as it should be: thin but not dry. Of course if you are seeking fit food you probably wouldn't like it as the potatoes were very greasy. But again, that's the taste of western Germany! I really recommend this place because of all the above and even more. But to learn what more just come here, put down the phone and be here and at the time. Will definitely visit again

A great place to eat after work. Here you can still enjoy your beer and even enjoy one or two culinary delights. My colleague and I each had a schnitzel (Jäger and Frankfurter). The quality: unbeatable. The waitress was very attentive and always helpful, even happy to make small talk. However, there is a star deduction for the boss who expressed his displeasure in front of the customers. The customer really doesn’t have to notice that! Maybe until next time. We were lucky enough to get a table outside on a beautiful spring day. For dinner we had the Frankfurter Schnitzel and a perfectly tapped beer. The service was very attentive, the glasses were never empty for long.

The service was nice and friendly, the atmosphere and guests were pleasant - unfortunately the landlord was not. Hugged me from behind and when I stood up to get out of his hug he got pretty gross. He hit the table, my chair and my glass with his cell phone and explained that it was all him, that he could ban us from the house if he wanted to, etc. There were six of us, my friends were horrified (there was a heated discussion ), but it got even worse! Shortly afterwards, he slapped a young man on the bottom and banned him and his group from the house when he complained (a police report is pending). So: You can go there, but only if he's not there.

First of all, THANK YOU SO MUCH! to the entire Joker team! Especially in this day and age, it is no longer a given that one can find such a high-quality and clean restaurant in such a cozy atmosphere. However, the fact that such delicious schnitzels (apparently actually homemade) with a perfect beer are served in a "pub" really impressed us!!! Our lovely evening was rounded off by the boss himself welcoming us and captivating us with his relaxed manner and funny sayings! ...we even got a round on the house! All in all we can say...we'll be coming regularly from now on!!! Thumbs up!

Gruppe Frauen 50+, sehr unschöner Vorfall mit dem Wirt, der erst meine Freundin ungefragt heftig von hinten umarmte, als sie sich distanzierte und ihm klarmachte, dass er das unterlassen solle, empörte er sich darüber und lies uns klar wissen, dass, wir ja gehen könnten, wenn es uns hier nicht gefalle. Ihm gehöre hier ohnehin alles und er habe das Recht, uns Hausverbot zu erteilen. Im Verlauf des Abends schlug er einen anderen Gast, einem jungen Mann, unvermittelt und heftig auf den Hintern. Als dieser sicher empörte, wurde er des Hauses verwiesen und ihm und seinen Freunden Hausverbot erteilt. Weder die Bedienung (seine Frau...), noch die Freunde, mit denen er am Nebentisch saß, griffen in irgendeiner Form ein. Untragbares anmassendes und übergriffiges Verhalten, vollkommen inakzeptabel.

I strongly advise against this store. The atmosphere is not inviting. The beer is far too expensive and the owner crosses clear boundaries with the guests and is intrusive. There's no good deal to be had there.

Nice pub, food & drinks good, very nice service! The owner was drinking with friends on the table next to ours. He felt entitled to grope & hug females around him and threw a tantrum when I stepped away (tried to intimidate us by ‚showing’ us that ‚everything’ is his, stressing it by hit ting on our table and glasses). Later smacked a young man‘s butt and issued a house ban when the young man complained. So when you go: just make sure the owner is not present or at least not drunk to enjoy an otherwise nice bar!

Once a month we go to the regulars' table at Joker. So far we have always gone home happy, full, satisfied and slightly or more exhausted. The schnitzels always taste excellent and I would say that it is one of the best schnitzels in Bad Homburg. The service is always very friendly, fast and careful and is therefore never left high and dry. Furnishings are rustic but nice and cozy. Many thanks to the whole team and as always, applause to the kitchen.

You can always stop here for a beer and a good schnitzel, etc., a nice, rustic, modern pub. Very popular at the weekend to watch football, so it's best to reserve a table. There is an extra room "winter garden" for smokers. Staff super friendly and always on point.

Super Kneipe, super Essen in tollem rustikalen Ambiente.

Ein super rustikal eingerichtetes Lokal. Für Fußball Fans genau das richtige. Das Personal ist sehr nett, freundlich und aufmerksam. Die Speisen sind reichlich und nicht zu teuer. Habe mich immer dort wohlgefühlt. Am Wochenende sollte man reservieren.

Gute Kneipe. Bitte beachten, ihr musst immer etwas trinken. Sonst, Kellnerin wird jede 2 Minuten fragen, ob ihr etwas trinken möchtet.

Klasse Bier vom Fass. Gutes Essen. Netter Wirt und Personal. Prost.

Ein leicht uriges aber nicht abgehängtes Lokal direkt in einer beliebten und belebten Fußgängerzone. Solide, deutsche Küche ohne viel Schnickschnack aber von guter Qualität - eigentlich genau richtig. Ich hatte Frankfurter Schnitzel (Schnitzel, Bratkartoffeln, Grüne Sauce) und war rundum zufrieden. So ein großes und vor allem leckeres Schnitzel hatte ich für den Preis lange nicht mehr. Ich komme gern wieder!

Schönes Lokal-vom Namen her, dachten wir erst an eine Spielhalle, aber im Innenbereich erwartete uns gemütliche Sitzbereiche. Das Essen war nach Bestellung ziemlich schnell am Tisch serviert. Dort kann man typische Gerichte der hessischen Küche bekommen. Uns hat es auf jeden Fall sehr gefallen und geschmeckt.

A pub on the main street, interior quite dark, nicer terrace. We had schnitzel, pork and chicken woth baked potatoes and salad. Very good food, not heavy and not expensive. Ideal for a quick lunch.

夕方到着したので、とにかく宿舎から近いところで夕食を取ろうと思って入った。 酒場らしい酒場。バーらしいバー。クナイぺらし いクナイペ。 まずはビール。銘柄は忘れたが、へレスの生。 食べ物はいろいろ揃っている。場所柄フランクフルトの名物「緑のソース」もあったけど、もう食べたことあるし、別のものにしよう。ズルツェ（豚肉の煮凝り）を注文。 ちょっと酢が効きすぎていたけど、おいしかった。 値段も手ごろだった。

Ein wunderbarer Ort zum Entspannen und Genießen Live Sport alles vorhanden, beim Essen gibt es einen Punkt Abzug da das schnitzel eigentlich kein schnitzel war sondern mehr pannade als Fleisch und die Soße nicht selbst gemacht war, also Standart, alles andere ist echt schön kann es empfehlen aber wer schnitzel essen will, sollte doch wo anders hin gehen das Personal ist sehr freundlich und wirklich sehr hilfsbereit, selbst der Koch erkundigt sich bei seinen Gästen was mir persönlich gut gefallen hat.

Hatte gestern von der Wochenkarte Haschee mit Nudeln. Echt Bombe! Schnitzel schmeckt auch super. Service super freundlich und alles war kein Problem. Gerne wieder! PS: Ihr könnt gerne öfter Haschee machen🙈

Wir waren am gestern, also am 10.04.23 mit 7 Personen zum Mittagessen im Joker. Alle waren vom Essen begeistert. Tolle deutsche (hessische) Küche, moderate Preise, eine superfreundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung. Es war einfach sehr schön da. Auch das Ambiente hat uns sehr gefallen: Lange Theke, saubere Toiletten, großer Gastraum in L Form, einige Fernsehgeräte mit laufendem Programm (lautlos), zwei Spielautomaten, großer Wintergarten bzw. Terrasse. So stelle ich mir eine deutsche, gut bürgerliche Gaststätte vor. Was will man mehr. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Danke an das komplette Team. 👍👏🍺🍖🇩🇪😘

Wir waren für in Bad Homburg um ein Wellness Mädels Wochenende zu verbringen. Die Pilsstube wurde uns empfohlen. Es war echt ein super lustiger Abend. Faire Preise und leckere Getränke. Jederzeit wieder!

Freitag Spätnachmittag dort eingekehrt. Das Lokal war gut besucht. Eine recht wenig freundliche Bedienung hat uns mit "Gesicht verzogen" ein Bier serviert. Auf die Rückfrage, ob man für den Abend reservieren muss, wurde uns pampig geantwortet "heute ist alles voll, ist ja schließlich Fussball" (Eintracht hat gespielt) wir könnten nur stehen. Die nette Dame hat dann die Nachbartische bedient und ist nach jeder Bestellaufnahme dann mit gesenktem Kopf an uns vorbei. Auch Versuche mit Winken auf uns aufmerksam zu machen scheiterten. Dann kam zum Glück eine Kollegin, die auf die Nachfrage ob wir noch was zu trinken bestellen könnten, mit "ja, klar, natürlich" antwortete. Als wir meinten, so natürlich sei das nicht, sagte sie gleich, die Kollegin sei bekannt dafür... da war uns alles klar. Das Lokal hat uns dann an diesem Wochenende nicht mehr gesehen. Denke aber mal, im Sommer mit den Bänken draussen eine schöne Lokalität.

Das Essen ist halt typisch deutsch, also sehr gut. Die Bedienungen sind alle klasse. Das Bier , Köpi, passt zu dem super Lokal. Wir gehen hier gerne auch mit großen Gruppen hin. Der neue Wintergarten ist traumhaft gelungen.

Nachdem der Joker über ein Jahr im neuen Domizil Louisenstraße umgebaut hatte und dann auch noch Corona dazwischenkam, werden viele Bad Homburger aufgeatmet haben, denn der Joker ist eine Institution und hat Stammgäste, die jeden Abend dorthin gehen. Die Räume sind größer und dem alten Joker angepasst, sodass man sich gleich wieder heimisch fühlt. Zusätzlich gibt es einen Innenhof mit Außenplätzen, aber man kann auch auf der Fußgängerzone in der Louisenstraße sitzen und schauen, wer so vorbeikommt. Das Essen ist genauso wie vorher bodenständig gut.

Der Joker ist klasse. Eine " ganz normale " Kneipe mit leckerem Essen und Getränken. Prima um Fußball zu schauen, oder um Leute zu treffen . Gemütlich und schön. Leider muss der Joker an einen neuen Standort in der Nähe umsiedeln, also ist Ende des Monats erstmals Schluss, vorraussichtlich bis September, schade, das wird lang.

Hatten einen schönen Fußball Abend im Joker. Super Tartar Brötchen, super Steak Häppchen, top Bier. Gerne wieder.

Small with outside area under heated Marquise for those that still smoke. Smoking allowed inside after 10pm which is when they stop serving food. The food is typically German, schnitzel etc but is cooked fresh to order and excellently presented. Amazing the dishes they do...
