Nice, rustic atmosphere in a good location, but unfortunately mediocre food. Schnitzel with fried potatoes, where the fried potatoes taste dry and like they have been warmed up, is unfortunately too expensive for that. The sauce that was ordered was only served 10 minutes after the main course had already been served.

Delicious fish soup, delicious plaice and delicious schnitzel. Rustic ambience, friendly service, a bit expensive in terms of price, but still within the range for this location.

We sat outside with a view of the sea. the waitresses were very friendly and helpful. The food is not cheap, but it is very fresh and tasty. We had Wiener Schnitzel and Pannfisch, both highly recommended.

We were there for dinner with a small child: rustic atmosphere, very friendly and attentive service and really good food! The prices are “typical for the area”, but also quite reasonable for the quality, so we definitely recommend it!

It was a very nice visit to Johannsen's. The menu offered something for every taste and we responded flexibly to special requests. The ambience and service were also top notch. We'd love to come back.

Most of the service staff were very nice, but unfortunately our waitress wasn't. My fried potatoes tasted very burnt and were inedible, fish and salad were good. Unfortunately I only got a half-hearted apology and apparently it wasn't passed on and I ended up paying €28 for a side salad and two pieces of fish. There was nothing wrong with the others' food, but they don't see me anymore.

Not to be topped, everything was perfect, super delicious, very attentive and humorous service. Ambience is really great. There were eight of us and everyone was really impressed with the overall package. Thank you and see you next time 😍

The restaurant is not in the first location on the beach, but you still have a lot to see from the water. The food was hot and delicious. Special requests were also implemented. The atmosphere is rustic, but the seats could only be covered. All in all, a great restaurant with friendly service and delicious and fresh food.

Johannsens is one of the best addresses in Niendorf for delicious food and good service. Good price-performance ratio. The table reservation via the homepage is exemplary. We would love to come back...

We recently had the pleasure of visiting Johansens Restaurant and it was an outstanding experience. Ambience and Atmosphere: The elegant and cozy ambience creates a welcoming atmosphere. The stylish furnishings and perfect lighting ensure a relaxed dinner. Service: The service is first class, friendly and attentive. The staff knows the menu and wine selection inside out and makes excellent recommendations. Food and Drink: The menu combines traditional and modern influences. Everyone will find something here. There are traditional but also more unusual dishes that are simply delicious. The drinks menu is large and the wine list is great too. Value for money: The price segment is justified given the high quality of the food, the excellent service and the stylish atmosphere. Conclusion: The Johansens Restaurant is a highlight for lovers of great cuisine and good service. A must to do something good for yourself. Unreservedly recommended!

Maybe three stars are a little too low for the food, but you can't give it 3.5. We were here more than once 2 years ago and the food was clearly better and tastier - maybe the chef has changed. The asparagus “cream” soup was very thin and had no hint of cream. Otherwise we had pan fish - the fish was a bit bland, the mustard sauce was rather watery and not creamy and instead of a colorful side salad (as it said on the menu) there was cucumber salad. The pasta with shrimp had enough shrimp and the pasta had a moderately tasty tomato sauce base. In contrast to this time 2 years ago, the noodles were mega good.

Stopped by “Johannsens” again today. Very tidy both outside and inside, and very comfortable inside. The service is very attentive and friendly. The food is very tasty and is served very attractively. It was definitely not the last visit to the “Johannsens” restaurant.

The restaurant is attractively decorated, although I don't like large fish in relatively whole form Small aquarium! Service was not customer oriented and grumpy. A boiled egg with the asparagus could not be arranged for a vegetarian.

We were guests at Johannsens on March 12th, 2024 and in the following days we didn't dare to eat plaice anywhere else again :) it was clear to us that this couldn't be topped. We really enjoyed the plaice and I don't know when was the last time I had such delicious fried potatoes in a restaurant!! Thank you for this culinary delight 😀 Our service was magical and the tip about the rum (when we asked for a nightcap) was just as much to our liking. All three varieties were tried and I received a bottle of the Maneuver Gulp as a surprise from my friend a month later. We did everything right with our choice to visit this restaurant and the team at Johannsens with their selection of food and the super friendly service. Es gibt wenige Locations, in die man rein kommt und sofort von der Atmosphäre und der Herzlichkeit sowie Freundlichkeit gefangen wird. Tolle Räumlichkeiten mit stimmiger, maritimer Deko. Der Service herzlich und freundlich. Leckere Vorspeisenvariation zu zweit und im Hauptgang Wiener Schnitzel und Hamburger Labskaus, sehr, sehr lecker abgeschmeckt. Hierher kommen wir bestimmt wieder, wenn wir wieder in der Ecke sind.

Service and ambience were very good. The restaurant is very cozy. We weren't happy with the food. The schnitzel was good, but the fried potatoes were bland, lukewarm and very little in quantity. A small side salad was missing. Unfortunately the noodles were only served lukewarm. Overall, the prices for the food and drinks are too expensive. A small latte for €5.50, just way too expensive. When we were at the restaurant years ago, the food was outstanding and the prices were reasonable. This is no longer the case today, even though everything has become more expensive.

It was a very nice evening in a maritime environment; lots of wood, fish and pirate charm! The dishes were beautifully presented and were very tasty. The service was also very nice and attentive. We'll definitely be back!

At the end of the day, highly rated restaurants are sometimes just normal. At least the food. At first we were happy that the receptionist wanted to assign us a table with a 10-minute wait without a reservation. The service attentive. Unfortunately the food was just mediocre. With a real "Wiener Schnitzel", i.e. made from veal, I expect a fresh breading fried in clarified butter. Unfortunately, this expectation was not met. Instead there was a ready-made breading and a real veal schnitzel, as advertised on the menu. However, it was so "beaten" that the veal was barely visible/tasteable. The poor calf 😉 Unfortunately, the classic cucumber salad was also missing, which prompted us to order a small salad with it. Mediocre here too. The atmosphere is maritime, very nice if you like that, the service is good, but the kitchen still has a lot of room for improvement. You can eat much better in Niendorf, if you don't care for a maritime atmosphere you don't need to visit the restaurant. Anyone who needs the maritime ambience to eat is in good hands.

We stopped by Johannsen's restaurant completely by chance. We actually wanted to go home. And then we felt a little hungry. We got one of the last free places. The service was very friendly without being fake. We immediately noticed that the employees got along well with each other. This behavior was also passed on to the guests. Very nice, how warm everything was. And the food was great. Rarely have I eaten labskaus so well. Terrific. And my wife's kale was also very, very good. Wine and beer were served to the guests well chilled. Plus a casual saying from the bartender. We enjoyed the evening. Thanks for that. We would love to come back.

We were immediately warmly welcomed. The ambience makes you feel like you are in an old ship. Drinks and food were delicious, great value for money. Definitely worth a visit. Personally, I don't think the aquarium is okay... a bit too small for the sea creatures that live in it. But otherwise everything was wonderful. Delicious German cuisine, very nice staff.

Delicious dishes that are handcrafted well. We had Labskaus and Königsberger Klopse. Both were convincing. The service is attentive and quick. The ambience is based on an old wooden ship and makes it very cozy.

Die Atmosphäre im Restaurant war sehr gemütlich. Der Empfang sehr nett, wir haben uns sofort sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Essen war super lecker. Ein großes Lob an den Koch. Zur Vorspeise hatten wir Garnelen im Knuspermantel😋 Und als Hauptgang Königsbergerklopse und Kalbschnitzel. Beides hat hervorragend geschmeckt Alles in allem. Danke für den gelungenen Abend.

Nettes uriges Restaurant gegenüber der Nienburger Seebrücke. Hatten am 1.1.2024 auch noch Glück das wir einen Platz ohne Reservierung bekommen hatten. Essen war sehr geschmackvoll. Bedienung aufmerksam und freundlich. Hab gleich für den nächsten Tag reserviert.
