A small, charming bistro with good, home-style cooking. Very friendly owner, generous portions at great prices! He serves lunch in the bistro Monday through Friday (closed Wednesday), including takeout. On Saturdays, he's on Gerther Marktplatz, making fresh potato pancakes. He also sells canned soups in jars, beautifully rustic and "just like grandma used to make."

Gerberstraße 2We were visiting because of Starlight Express and were looking for a delicious dinner. I was able to easily make a reservation online in advance. We were very impressed by the quality of the food and the selection on the weekly menu! The prices are reasonable, the service very friendly, and all in all, authentic. Highly recommended.

Seilfahrt 103, Bochum, North Rhine-Westphalia, Germany We were there today for the first time, but definitely not the last. Such a friendly team, such delicious kniften, all in all perfect. For dessert, after dessert, we had a Black Tiger skewer.
