Großzügiges Platzangebot und eine breite Auswahl. Man kann so viel essen, wie man möchte, Getränke kosten allerdings extra.

Ich habe von too good to go bestellt. Ausser die frittierten Lebensmittel konnte man es nicht essen. Es war regelrecht eine pampe aus Nudeln, Bratkartoffeln, Pommes und hollandaise Sauce. Da es sich um Resteessen handelt erwartet man nicht die Welt. … aber das Es bringt einfach ein schlechtes licht ins bild.

Nicht familienfreundlich! Ich finde dass die Preise nicht gerechtfertigt sind. Vorallem für Kinder pauschal ab 5 Jahre 15,90 € zu berechnen ist nicht passend. Meine Kinder essen nicht mal im Wert von 10 € etwas. Zudem ist es dann ja damit nicht getan.... dann ist auch noch jeder am Tisch gezwungen mindestens 1 Getränk zu bestellen und selbst da beginnen die Preise bei 3,90 €. Geht man also mit seinem Kind mal essen, ist man schnell ne Stange Geld los. Zudem wurden wir ganz hinten ins Restaurant gesetzt und hatten als Familie einen sehr weiten weg durchs komplette Restaurant. Mit kleine Kinder sehr ungünstig. Leider mal gar nicht familienfreundlich!

Absolut empfehlenswert (viel Essen für wenig Geld). Hier kann man sich für wenig Geld satt essen. Die Auswahl ist riesig und bietet für jeden Geschmack etwas. Das Essen ist ausgezeichnet und hervorragend zubereitet. Wok-Gerichte werden nur abends angeboten. Nachmittags gibt es ein durchgehendes Buffet.

Das Essen war wirklich gut und ausreichend die Auswahl. Der Service war sehr gut, die Teller wurden schnell abgeräumt und Bestellungen von Getränken kamen schnell. Das Restaurant ist modern eingerichtet und hell.

Wir waren am Muttertag 2026 da, wie schon öfter an besonderen Tagen. Das Essen ist immer gut, das Lokal ist sauber und die Bedienungen freundlich. Zum Abschied übergab man mir nach dem Bezahlen eine Box. Und ich weiß nicht was ich getan habe um ein Geschenk zu verdienen: Aber eine Einhorn-Spieluhr-Schneekugel mit Licht ist genau das was ich in meinem Leben brauche und sie hat einen Ehrenplatz im Bücheregal bekommen. Ich habe mich sehr gefreut!

Das Restaurant ist sehr schön eingerichtet und sauber. Auch der Tisch war in Ordnung. Das Essen hingegen war sehr schlecht. Das Hähnchen war in der Verpackung noch halb roh, das Baguette steinhart, und die Speisen waren kaum beschriftet, sodass man nicht wusste, was was war. Außerdem wird auf Allergiker nicht Rücksicht genommen. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist zudem sehr gering. Die Desserts waren okay. Aber auch hier war nicht gekennzeichnet, welche Eissorte welche ist. Ich würde hier nicht noch einmal essen gehen.

Wir gehen gerne dorthin. Mit der Wiedereröffnung hat sich eigentlich nichts geändert. Aber das war auch nicht nötig.

Es wird immer frisch nachgelegt und die Auswahl ist vielfälltig. Das Personal ist immer freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Der Preis ist mehr als fair. Ein sehr gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Das Restaurant ist sehr zu empfehlen. Wir kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!!

Das Restaurant war an einem Samstag gut besucht. Die Auswahl an Speisen ist gut und es wird sofort nachgefüllt. Das Servicepersonal ist extrem aufmerksam👍 . Das einzige Negative ist, dass Getränke Pflicht und sehr teuer sind.

Mein Besuch im Restaurant war gemischt: Das Essen war sehr gut und lecker, und auch das Ambiente hat mir gut gefallen. Allerdings gab es einige Mängel im Service, die den Gesamteindruck trübten. Das Personal wirkte unaufmerksam, eine Begrüßung oder Verabschiedung blieb leider aus. Zudem standen die Teller nach dem Essen lange auf dem Tisch, ohne dass jemand sie abräumte. Wer noch etwas trinken wollte, musste selbst an die Bar gehen, was ich bei einem Gesamtbetrag von etwa 200 Euro für enttäuschend halte. Insgesamt erwarte ich bei diesem Preisniveau einen deutlich besseren Service.

Schön das es wieder geöffnet ist. Das Buffet war sehr lecker und die Auswahl riesig. Und der Service war super.

I think the price is a bit too high, and you also have to pay extra for drinks. The food isn't exactly delicious either.

Wonderful food! The buffet is plentiful and always refilled quickly! It tastes really, really good! There's simply nothing missing! Whether it's Japanese sushi or coffee and cake like at a great corner shop or ice cream and French Italian desserts, they're also available! Everything is so neat and clean! The new owners are simply amazing! I love it and can only recommend it 100%!

We had lunch buffet here for 12.90 per person. Sufficient choice of excellent Chinese and wok dishes, sufficient vegetarian options, although this could be indicated more clearly on the buffet. Drink standard large glasses, but what else do you expect? They have to earn something too! Nothing wrong with that.

Not recommended on New Year's Eve. Extremely crowded! The beautiful, fresh pieces of meat were completely ruined by being overcooked by the incompetent cook. Plenty of diverse offerings. Very needy to clear away used dishes.

We advise against making reservations on public holidays. Everyone is completely overwhelmed. Went there at 8 p.m. (reserved). It took 45 minutes from coming in to having your first drink. Buffet was a joke - everything was empty. Sometimes a few noodles appeared, but no meat. Then duck appeared, but there were no side dishes. And so throughout the evening we just collected what was there. Nobody would believe how empty the buffet was, so photos are attached. We weren't the only ones disappointed, everyone was talking and philosophizing about whether they wanted to charge us full price for the joke. By the way, during the holidays there is a temporary increase to the normal price. And yes, full price was charged. Just ridiculous and never eat there again. Thank you for the incredibly bad hospitality on New Year's Eve 👍

New Year's Eve buffet was a complete failure!! Our table was reserved at 8:15 p.m. and there was hardly any food available, let alone served later. Barely eaten anything, so I left the store hungry and now I'm looking for where to get something to eat. Despite the fact that almost nothing was eaten, over €140 had to be paid. Outrageous!!! The new owners absolutely miscalculated the number of guests and what and how much they would have needed for the buffet!!!

Been here twice so far. Once at lunchtime, once in the evening. Always a very good selection, everything delicious, staff attentive and friendly.👍😋 Vegetables and meat at the Mongolian buffet were too roughly cut for my taste but that's complaining on a very high level.

We were there for the buffet. Food is quite okay, could sometimes be refreshed a bit after a while. However, the selection is quite good. I had the feeling that the service was a bit understaffed at times, but when we were served everyone was very friendly.

I was always of the opinion that the Asian buffets were somehow all the same. However, things are different here. The dishes are prepared much more lovingly than I know from other buffets. The staff is also very attentive, so everything is always refilled promptly. In my opinion, it also stands out from the crowd in terms of taste. We were there on a Thursday. What can I say, good, tasty and not too crowded (5 p.m.) but I can imagine it being rush hour. It has to remain something special because I couldn't eat there once a month. But we'll definitely be back

It is a very nice buffet where you can stir-fry. There is a lot of choice, you have fish, duck, chicken and pork and also vegetarian options. There is a lot of staff. And the staff is very friendly. You have a clip that you put on your plate and then you can put your plate at the wok bar and they bring it to the table.

Went there for a buffet meal. There is a large selection of ready-made dishes. The selection of fresh vegetables, meat and fish is also very good. Everyone can put something together themselves. Service is good, empty plates are cleared away quickly. Staff nice and accommodating.

We were there at lunchtime, 3 adults, a child and a dog. Dog was allowed inside, there was more than enough seating. Food was good and small portions were regularly replenished. The toilets are clean and neat. Parking can be a problem although parking is free under the building.

Food and service are quite good, but the menu prices on the website are contradictory. There are two prices for each price category if you click on “Menu” and look through and compare them all. Today wasn't a holiday and still €17.90. Some grill dishes are not available due to war and Corona. At least that's how it is at lunchtime and the official version. In my opinion, €17.90 for Sunday lunch is borderline, but just about reasonable.

I recently visited Jin Phoenix Restaurant and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of service and the incredible taste of the dishes. The atmosphere in the restaurant is very cozy, the decor is in Chinese style. I was impressed by the variety of dishes, everything was very tasty, I would especially like to mention the grill. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I recommend “Jin Phoenix” to all lovers of Chinese cuisine. We will definitely be back to try more dishes from the extensive buffet!

So I never used to enjoy being there again, but since the new manager has been there and has been shouting at me so shamelessly when I wanted to eat from the buffet at 2.30 p.m. and she said I couldn't take any more, what was still there to eat was for Orders for outside, and I couldn't help myself even though I left 130 EU for 3 people, and the food doesn't taste like it used to..

I have been to Jin Phoenix several times and I can only describe my experience as satisfied. There is a tradition in our family of visiting the restaurant on our family members' birthdays. This is a traditional buffet. You pay around €20-25 per person for the entrance (prices change frequently). Then you can have whatever dishes you want. Self-service applies. There are a lot of seats, but sometimes, such as on public holidays, many of them can be reserved (this rarely happens). The drinks are not free. A drink costs around €3-5 (as I said, prices change often these days). Now more about the food itself. There is a WOK where raw products such as meat, vegetables, shellfish etc. can be grilled. Then there are two rows of dishes that have already been prepared. These include sushi, meat (4-5+ types), fried potatoes, fried mushrooms, beat noodles, rice with vegetables, breaded meat, sauces, nuggets, fries, croquettes, spring rolls, fresh vegetables (cucumbers, pickles, tomatoes, lettuce, olives, carrot) and much more, but of course I can't remember everything. There are also many desserts, such as cake, pudding, bananas, lychee, apples, plums (all fruits come in cut pieces), jelly, ice cream (really many types, but in my opinion some of them taste the same and only differ in one way). Colors. Children always like that, so it doesn't matter), and as I said, much more. There is also Chinese soup, plain rice, and all kinds of drinks. It's worth going to a restaurant like this in a large group, but you can also go there as a couple. In general it is very clean and tidy. There are two toilet rooms where soap is almost always provided and there are also two hand dryers in each. And don't forget, there are different buffets, information about which can be found on the restaurant's website. This is very important because some dishes may become unavailable. Otherwise the restaurant is very nice and the atmosphere there is charming.

With every visit to Jin Phoenix, I immerse myself in a world of culinary delights that fascinate me every time. During my last visit, I realized that the family that now runs the restaurant puts their heart and soul into every aspect of the operation, which I will discuss in more detail later. I would particularly like to highlight the Teppanyaki experience. The ability to create my own plate with a variety of fresh seafood and vegetables was simply amazing. The chef was not only a master of his craft, but also extremely entertaining and made the preparation a real experience. What has always surprised me was the unbeatable price-performance ratio. The price was more than fair for the quality and variety of the food. The “extraordinarily high prices” I read here simply don’t make sense to me. Where in the world can you get something for less than €23.90 per person these days? Going out to eat - of course you can still find what you're looking for at McDonald's or the Dönermann, but I doubt whether that's more enjoyable. At a time when friendly service has become a rarity, I found Jin Phoenix an oasis of warmth. The attentiveness and friendliness of the staff were remarkable. When I cleared away the used plates, I was always given friendly looks, accompanied by questions about whether everything was as I wanted it. And every time a new plate was brought, I was wished a sincere "bon appetit" - and all this even at peak times, when the restaurant was full to capacity, the personal service was not neglected - simply remarkable! I don't want to add anything more to the above. I strongly encourage every single Chinese cuisine lover to pay a visit to Jin Phoenix and experience this unique experience for themselves.

Update 04-2024: Unfortunately, the clearing area for dishes has now been moved to the middle of the dining room next to the buffet. A very bad idea that pushes the level of the house down one star. A change of ownership seems to start the trend for the worse... --- Clean, heated, friendly, great buffet, good parking. The very large, modern restaurant offers a great selection and the cleanliness here is impressive. Yes, there is the annoying “wait to be seated” here too, but not quite as aggressively as in other restaurants in Nordhorn (Bambusgarten, Frentjen). The selection at the buffet is impressive and the food is of high quality. Unfortunately, the beautiful Chinese roll calendars for the New Year have been saved here too. In the interests of hygiene, guests should be asked not to go back to the buffet with used dishes, that's disgusting.

Yesterday friends and I had dinner here again. At the beginning we only noticed the change of ownership in the new employees, table numbers and the menu. At the buffet it was noticed that the description of the dishes is no longer directly next to the dishes, but above them. However, these were missing from the fresh fish products. As for the food itself, there were new products, but I didn't miss anything. The storage containers weren't as full as the previous owner, but everything was always there. The only drawback I can bring up (objection at a high level 😉 ) for my taste the sauces should be a little thicker, then they would stick better to the products. This is an advantage when eating with chopsticks. I wish the new operators good luck and the old operators a big thank you for the wonderful, delicious hours. I'd love to come back, keep it up 👍

The restaurant is neatly decorated. The atmosphere is a bit too cool for me. People are friendly but awkward. You can order ala carte. It is recommended to help yourself at the buffet. The fish selection is good. I didn't try the meat dishes. Unfortunately, everything is fried and served with the same seasoning. As a result, the various offerings lose some of their sophistication. If you are very hungry and want a lot of food, this is definitely a good place for you.

We have now been to Jin Phoenix twice since the change of ownership. All we can say is.....as always, very tasty! We wish the former tenants all the best for the rest of their lives. We enjoyed being with you. We wish the new owners good luck and keep it up. What we have eaten so far has been really delicious and we can recommend it. We are looking forward to it the next time.

Tasty food. It's just a pity that drinks have to be paid for separately. That can still make it pricey afterwards. There is restaurant Mongolei on Denekamperstrasse and drinks are included in the price.

We regularly eat a buffet here on Saturdays and it's always great. Yesterday we were totally disappointed. The meat was sometimes tough, the dishes weren't hot and the taste wasn't that great anymore. About a minute someone walked past the table to see if they could clear away the dishes. Very disturbing. Service otherwise very accommodating. Then we noticed that the owner had changed. It's a shame, hopefully things will get better again.

Immer wieder ein Genuss! Hier gibt es für jeden Liebhaber etwas! Die Speisen sind frisch und lecker. Mittags finde ich persönlich ist es noch besser, da weniger Betrieb und auch das Krabbenbrot noch besser ist! Es gibt fast schon zuviel Auswahl. Das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist spitze!

Beste China Restaurant in der Umgebung.

Vielleicht waren wir einfach am falschen Tag in diesem Restaurant. Der Ruf ist gut und so haben wir für Samstag einen Tisch reserviert. Ich bat noch am Telefon um einen schönen und ruhigen Platz. Naja, das war es dann auch. Wir saßen an einem 2 Personen Tisch und gefühlt sind während unseres Aufenthaltes hunderte von Menschen an uns vorbeigezogen. Ich habe mich noch nie so gestört gefühlt - beim Abendessen. Das war nicht schön und das Essen wurde zur Nebensache. Das Essen war in Ordnung. Ich komme nicht wieder!

Massenabfertigung..... nichts Besonderes. Das Essen war in Ordnung aber ein "Muss" ist das Restaurant nicht. Die Sauberkeit war in Ordnung. Die Mitarbeiter waren zwar freundlich aber nicht "engagiert".
