Very tasty, good selection, delicious ice cream from the ice cream truck outside

Highly recommended! Relaxed atmosphere, especially in the garden it's so beautiful! Extremely nice, friendly and courteous service staff with good advice, as always very tasty and exceptional food, from vegan to vegetarian and great combinations, as well as compositions of fish and meat dishes! The ice cream truck serves wonderful ice cream that also goes well as a dessert, based on Reinhard Mey's song "People who eat ice cream"! Gladly again and again! Thank you, dear Gecco team! Keep it up!

The Gecco Inn is really a nice place to stay. However, the price-performance ratio is not the same here. The ambience is great, the service is friendly. However, we had to wait over an hour for our main course, and none of the tables around us had any food at the table. The appetizers (burrata, bread with butter, and bruschetta) came quickly and were delicious. The main courses (Lox & Lox, truffle pasta and chicken shawarma) took over an hour, but tasted good. However, the chicken shawarma wasn't what we hoped for. You got two chicken skewers, with a small salad, tzatziki and fries, for just under €30. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio when it comes to the food doesn't match at all, especially in connection with the long waiting time. The cocktails were really good and worth the price. All in all, we weren't that happy and would probably only come back for a few drinks. (This was the second time we weren't that happy) For the high price level you simply expect more!

Positive: nice reception, great location, great furnishings, fast service, delicious Tarte flambée. Negative: Extremely loud background noise (Railroad station?) 1. Service person was annoyed/unfriendly. 2nd service person (brought espresso) was very nice. 3. Service person (cashier) very nice. Water price 0.5L, €3.50; 1L, €6.50 is more than excessive. Lt. 1. Service person it is city water (but filtered (1) For comparison it costs in Hamburg 1L “kraneberger” €4.20 The prices are also very high otherwise.

Large selection of dishes from a fun menu. Everything looked very tasty and tasted excellent. When the weather is nice you can sit comfortably in the garden. The only drawbacks: Beer could have been colder and the (very tasty dippers) could have been hotter. By the way, dogs are welcome!

We were very positively surprised. We recently celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary there. We sat outside really nicely, the service was really great and to hear that from someone who was in the restaurant herself, I think that means something 😅 the food was super tasty and came really quickly, like everything else, just the portion It was a bit small for my husband (he actually had a little less on his plate than I did, despite the fact that we both had a pasta dish. That's why I deducted a small point. But it wasn't bad, he would have been super full with a starter: ) The prices are not cheap, but I think they are fair. The ice cream for dessert was really delicious and the scoops were big. We'll definitely be happy to come back :)

At first glance it's a great atmosphere and the gecko immediately reminds me of the Canary Islands. The staff is very friendly and quick. In the kitchen, personal demands and reality diverge. The food is good so far, the portions are rather small, the food is very over-seasoned and difficult to digest. Notified intolerances are not always taken into account! The prices are sometimes so high that they are no longer comprehensible. You can like Fritz Cola, but you don't have to like it. The only type of cola devalues ​​the place for me. The water flat rate without a label gives me more doubts because I can't see the origin of the water. The music is supposed to attract young people, but even for me as a techno guru it is sometimes so monotonous that I feel like I'm in a mental hospital. If you normalize the prices, remove the excessive spiciness from the food, use lighting that doesn't hurt your eyes and remove the music, things can get really good here. It's better to sit outside, as you're far away from music and sometimes bright lights.

Great atmosphere, especially on a warm summer evening in the garden. The service is great, the drinks are very exquisite and something really special! The waiting times are also really humane despite the restaurant being well filled! The burger was okay, the price is on the high side. Given the price, the doneness of the patty could be improved, which was unfortunately more than done, as was the bun, which was unfortunately very dry. All in all, a great evening with a little potential for improvement. We'd love to come back and try it again 👍

So you've never been to Nordhorn in the Grafschaft Bentheim district? Are you serious ? And you've never been to Gecco in the "Alten Rawepark"? Sorry, then you really missed something so far. At Gecco you can not only eat well and have a very good breakfast, but you can also simply unwind, enjoy life and the service on site and let your children run in the park of the café/restaurant and on the playground. It is a gem in the middle of a stressful world. Personally, I can only recommend a visit. I have already stopped by this café/restaurant for a birthday, breakfast or a coffee. And every time, it's like coming home for me. So, go to Nordhorn and leave the stressful world behind you. Enjoy the hours and take some time to relax and let yourself be pampered by the fabulous on-site staff.

More appearance than reality. Closing the kitchen at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening is not appropriate for a restaurant where the main courses cost 30 euros or more. The cutlery for the starter should still be used (not possible at all) and there were no desserts. Just ice cream. The map is also too big for my liking. The location in the park is undoubtedly beautiful, the furniture is harmonious, but the tables are very close together, so the background noise is high. This restaurant wouldn't be able to hold its own in a big city with other competition.

We were there at lunchtime on a Saturday. Everything went quickly. The portion looked small, but was definitely enough. The “beautiful Henry” tasted great. The view outside was very nice.

The food is delicious, but also correspondingly expensive. So far okay. A really good kitchen. The waiting time for the food was very long. We waited over an hour for six main courses. We had an extremely delicious mezze ahead of time. However, I asked NOT to make any special adjustments to the starter, but rather to prepare the main courses immediately. Was not implemented. After 30 minutes at the table, the starter was cleared away, then we waited another 20 minutes for the main courses. The service was bad. Not once were we actively asked whether we wanted any more drinks. We were there for about two hours, during which everyone only had one drink. The waitress was only with us to serve food or clear empty plates. Otherwise she ignored our table.

Unfortunately, the first condition was not to bring us a printed drinks menu. She said rather unkindly that it no longer exists and that you can only download it manually. After another request from another waitress. If we immediately received a printed card with the words you just had to ask then it wouldn't be a problem.

For me the best address in the county of Bentheim. Modern but not too large menu, special drinks and food, great ambience (both outside and inside), always great promotions (e.g. at Christmas time) and good service. Not the cheapest restaurant but it can still be special. I think people with vegan or restricted diets (intolerances) will also find what they are looking for here.

The Gecco is beautifully located in Nordhorn's city park. The service has always been great, very accommodating, fast and friendly. The meat dishes were very well cooked. If you like tender and medium-rare, you should definitely note this. The pinsa is very good, but quite small portions. Overall the pasta dishes were good. Alcoholic drinks were always delicious. Unfortunately the acoustics inside are very bad. So it's rather tiring to understand your counterpart. Overall, a rather expensive restaurant that doesn't always do justice to the price.

Restaurant gehört eher der oberen Preisklasse an, das Essen schmeckte gut, hätte für mich aber etwas mehr Würze haben dürfen, aber solche Dinge sind für jeden einzelnen Gast einfach schwierig zu treffen, da muss man halt eine gute goldene Mitte finden und das haben sie wohl. Service, Essen, alles war eigentlich völlig in Ordnung, ein wenig gestört hat mich nur der Geräuschpegel. Das Lokal war nicht übermäßig voll, dafür dennoch recht laut für mein Empfinden. Wir sind auf Wunsch einer anderen Person in dieses Restaurant eingekehrt. Ich würde auf mehrheitlichen Wunsch anderer auch wohl wieder dort hingehen, ich für mich selbst würde allerdings andere Lokalitäten bevorzugen.

Unimaginative, run-of-the-mill menu, dishes seem like they were "somehow thrown together", portions are outrageously expensive and quite small - far from an acceptable price-performance ratio. Some of the meat in the cheese burger was still raw. Bruschetta was definitely not freshly prepared. Diarrhea 5 hours after eating. My friends' food was swimming in simple tomato sauce. It seems to be the chef de cuisine's favorite sauce. It's a shame about the nice atmosphere and the location of the restaurant. In the interior, however, you sit quite crammed together.

Employee meetings & shared meals - Ambience 👍👍👍👍 - The food with price performance is OUTRAGEOUS - The food was warmed up in the microwave and not freshly prepared for such a restaurant 👎. For gourmet connoisseurs and gourmets, it is very noticeable that the food is not freshly cooked here. Especially the falafel is a complete disaster 🤦‍♂️ For the price in such an atmosphere, it's outrageous to bring something like that to the guest at the table. 2 - Service was OK not good enough for such an atmosphere. 3 - Some menus need to be reworked such as the pizza, the homemade version over 10€ was a children's menu of bread with cheese🤦‍♂️ and the asparagus soup started as a starter, more finished soup doesn't work🤦‍♂️ We were all very disappointed, sorry never again. - The ice cream was delicious 👍👍👍👍

Mega leckeres Essen, toller, netter Service. Es wurde immer nett nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, ob mit dem Essen alles okay wäre, ob man an Getränken noch was möchte, einfach top. Große Auswahl an Gerichten, sogar vegan.

The Schnitzel Love was too thin and dry and disproportionate to the price. The side dishes, dippers with cranberries and mayo, were neither original nor suitable. The pasta dish with chicken breast was good with a balanced sauce. However, the price-performance ratio is not right. Very attentive staff. We enjoyed the food extremely well. Our daughter liked the homemade fries (a mixture of fried potatoes and fries). They also offer craft beer on tap, very cool! High chairs were also available. All in all, we can recommend the Gecco Gasthouse and will definitely come here again

Schön im Stadtpark gelegenes Restaurant mit Möglichkeit draußen zu genießen. Gut sortiertes Speisen- und Getränkeangebot. Sehr leckere Gerichte. Nicht gerade günstig, aber ist ja überall teuer geworden.

Very tasty schnitzel. Only the potatoes looked more like chips than potatoes. All in all it was of good quality and more than sufficient. Not the cheapest place, but the location is also expensive: right in the center but still in a kind of forest. Service was fantastic.

This nice restaurant is located in the park. Cozy decorated interior and a menu that makes it difficult to choose given the amount of delicious dishes. We enjoyed the various dishes. We would love to come back here again.

Probably the nicest restaurant in the area. Always impressed by the food, ambience & service. Very tasty, constantly changing dishes. Lots of special dishes but also some classics that have been slightly transformed. 😋 - definitely my favorite restaurant 🫶🏼

The ambience is great, BUT it's incredibly loud.... (I'm actually not sensitive about that). In terms of price, I found it expensive for what was on the plate.... For the starter: house bread with sea salt butter, olives and walnuts, I was expecting homemade butter and not 2 mini-small, packaged portions that were rock hard and threw handfuls of walnuts next to it. Although the butter was still forgotten....The salad would have deserved more dressing (mini dollop on top, the squashed lettuce underneath was dry). The taste was ok..... Sorry, but I'm not ready for much just because of the ambience Paying money for little food that tastes better somewhere else... At a more pleasant volume.

Wir hatten einen sehr schönen Abend mit unfassbar leckerem Essen. Ich kann es nur jedem empfehlen, egal ob als Date zu zweit oder mit einer größen Gruppe. Preisleistung ist wirklich gut und das Essen ist Frisch und lecker. Auch die Iglos hab ich so vorher noch nie gesehen, ist was besonderes was es nicht überall gibt.

Schönes Ambiente und sehr freundliche Bedienung. Es hätte etwas ruhiger sein können, jedoch war auch Valentinstag, daher auch viel los. Essen war sehr schön angerichtet und hat auch gut geschmeckt. Für einen ordentlichen Preis kriegt man auch ein ordentliches Essen.

Haben recht spontan buchen können, waren schon länger nicht mehr dort und sehr angenehm überrascht. Umbau mehr als gelungen. Service ist sehr freundlich und schnell.
