Das Essen ist überteuert. Ansonsten ist es sehr zu empfehlen.

Restaurant Gecco was very disappointing. First received a wrong menu, then a menu with other dishes (B choice?). We had a package. The food was bland (tasteless) and very greasy (snitzel and potatoes). Dessert was basic. We mentioned this but were only told she was sorry (es tut mir leid). We are quite easy with food, but this food was really not okay, as was the reaction we received. Very disappointing.

Wir waren mit 3 Generation als Gast im Restaurant. Das Essen war wirklich hervorragend, und wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Service war sehr gut. Sonderwünsche von den Kindern wurden perfekt gelöst. Danke für den tollen Abend.

Food was fine. What we found particularly annoying, however, was that we only had a maximum of 2 hours for the meal. If we could order quickly and food was on the table, á la. We were there for the Christmas market and had reserved a hut. Everything - processing, organization, food, drinks and the well-being of the customers - was carried out to the utmost satisfaction. There were heat lamps and blankets for the legs to combat the cold. The staff is competent, quick, friendly and takes care of the guests.

After criticism, the baguettes were warmed up again, but firstly one was missing and the consistency of the bread was poor. 5 euros for a mulled wine is also very expensive. The extremely nice staff cannot be blamed. So we went back to the Christmas market very dissatisfied and won't be coming back next year. We felt really left out because of the high prices and subpar food.

Ich hatte nicht gelesen, dass die Reservierung nur für 2 Stunden war, was beim Betreten auf sehr unangenehme Weise mitgeteilt wurde. Am Tisch mussten wir fast 30 Minuten warten, bis die Bestellung entgegengenommen wurde. 15 Minuten vor dem Ende der Reservierung wurden wir gebeten, zu bezahlen und zu gehen, da die nächste Gruppe dort ankam. Wenn Sie einen Tisch für 2 Stunden reservieren, stellen Sie sicher, dass die Gäste schnell bestellen können, und lassen Sie sie die Zeit genießen, anstatt Ihre Gäste zu vertreiben. Sehr enttäuschend!

Nettes Ambiete, mittags auch recht ruhig. Schön dekoriert und netter gesprächiger Service. Reste wurden direkt eingepackt zum Mitnehmen. Essen war gut nur teilweise eher kalt. Vorspeisenplatte sehr großzügig.

The atmosphere is really great. The open space makes the whole thing a bit noisy, but it also makes it seem super lively and people seemed to have a lot of fun. If you're not used to it, the first-name service will seem a bit strange, but it didn't bother me and it reminded me of the atmosphere at my grandparents'. The food itself was okay. Had a Cali Burger with a side dish and dessert. The citizen was a little more than medium rare, but still tasted quite good. The dip was great, but the side dish was too greasy. Everything together plus a drink costs just under €40, which is a bit on the higher end but still acceptable.

Das Essen war super lecker, da gibt es nichts dran zu rütteln… Es hat uns allen sehr gut geschmeckt, jedoch fanden es viele von uns sehr wenig… Wenn ich bedenke, dass wir eine Frauengruppe waren, hätte ich nicht wissen wollen, was sich ein Mann noch hätte bestellen müssen, um satt zu werden… Das finde ich sehr schade. Wir hatten uns alle noch ein Dessert bestellt… Und selbst da wurde dann gemauschelt… Einer von uns hatte sich vorab ein Dessert bestellt die anderen wollten erst nicht und als sie gesehen haben, wie lecker es aussieht, haben sie sich dann doch eins bestellt, wobei dann jeder von Ihnen Von dem einen Zitronenküchlein nur einen halben bekommen haben, weil sie wohl in der Küche nicht genug hatten… Da wir aber schon einen am Tisch hatten, wussten wir, dass es eigentlich ein ganzer sein muss… Wenn wir nichts gesagt hätten, hätten sie wohl nichts gesagt… Und das finde ich sehr schade für ein so teures Restaurant. !!! Deshalb nur drei Sterne.

Unfortunately the price-performance ratio is getting worse... Went there with a group yesterday and no one was happy. Ultimately, after eating, we moved on hungry and had a snack somewhere else. Somehow that can't be the case. The ambience is undoubtedly beautiful, the service is good, but the quality and "extent" of the food on offer do not correspond to the price.

Beim Abendessen zu 2 hatten wir aufgrund der Karte und des Preisniveaus (80-90 Euro pro Person für 2-3 Gänge) auf gastronomische Qualität gehofft. Trotz Geburtstag nur Luftschlangen; keine Tischdecke; kein Amouse Geule, kein Brot … Die Vorspeisen (Ceviche) waren sehr gut - aber übersichtlich. Die Hauptspeisen sehr ambivalent - Thunfischsteak mit Rosmarinkartoffeln und etwas Salat (33 EUR) - total fad ohne Pfiff. Das Pfeffersteak (32 EUR) exzellent; aber mit Kartoffelchips aus der Tüte als Beilage?? … wir haben zu Zweit Surf & Turf draus gemacht - da ging das. In Summe klar überteuert für die gebotene Qualität. Der Service war gut - unsere Kritik wurde freundlich aufgenommen

All in all it was fabulous! My friend and I were there today and had a Wienerschnitzel with dippers, mayo and cranberry dip. The meat was tender and the dippers were crispy. The waitress was very friendly and attentive! The location was very nice and clean. Good price/performance ratio!

Wir haben einen sehr schönen Abend in schöner Atmosphäre verbracht. Da es aber - auch an einem Mittwoch - sehr voll war - war es auch sehr laut, so dass man mit 5 Personen an einem Tisch schon Probleme bekam, sich gegenseitig zu unterhalten.

Top Location wo wirklich alles stimmt…in einem tollen Ambiente!

Zeer vriendelijk en vlotte ontvangst en bediening. Bijzonder lekker gegeten, vega maaltijd was zelfgemaakte humus met veel gegrilde groenten en falafel en balletjes. Ook het vlees van het vlees gerecht was zeer mails en voorzien van smakelijke saus. Als nagerecht namen we heerlijk schepijs, met bijzondere smaken. Ruime keuze uit schepijs, dat rechtstreeks uit een leuke Italiaanse ijskraam kwam. Kortom hier eten verlengde ons vakantiegevoel.

Alles prima! Einfache Tischreservierung, nette Bedienung, schönes Ambiente, leckeres Essen und gutes Preis/Leistungsverhältnis. Gerne wieder!

The Gecco Inn is really a nice place to stay. However, the price-performance ratio is not the same here. The ambience is great, the service is friendly. However, we had to wait over an hour for our main course, and none of the tables around us had any food at the table. The appetizers (burrata, bread with butter, and bruschetta) came quickly and were delicious. The main courses (Lox & Lox, truffle pasta and chicken shawarma) took over an hour, but tasted good. However, the chicken shawarma wasn't what we hoped for. You got two chicken skewers, with a small salad, tzatziki and fries, for just under €30. Unfortunately, the price/performance ratio when it comes to the food doesn't match at all, especially in connection with the long waiting time. The cocktails were really good and worth the price. All in all, we weren't that happy and would probably only come back for a few drinks. (This was the second time we weren't that happy) For the high price level you simply expect more!

We were very positively surprised. We recently celebrated our 7th wedding anniversary there. We sat outside really nicely, the service was really great and to hear that from someone who was in the restaurant herself, I think that means something 😅 the food was super tasty and came really quickly, like everything else, just the portion It was a bit small for my husband (he actually had a little less on his plate than I did, despite the fact that we both had a pasta dish. That's why I deducted a small point. But it wasn't bad, he would have been super full with a starter: ) The prices are not cheap, but I think they are fair. The ice cream for dessert was really delicious and the scoops were big. We'll definitely be happy to come back :)

At first glance it's a great atmosphere and the gecko immediately reminds me of the Canary Islands. The staff is very friendly and quick. In the kitchen, personal demands and reality diverge. The food is good so far, the portions are rather small, the food is very over-seasoned and difficult to digest. Notified intolerances are not always taken into account! The prices are sometimes so high that they are no longer comprehensible. You can like Fritz Cola, but you don't have to like it. The only type of cola devalues ​​the place for me. The water flat rate without a label gives me more doubts because I can't see the origin of the water. The music is supposed to attract young people, but even for me as a techno guru it is sometimes so monotonous that I feel like I'm in a mental hospital. If you normalize the prices, remove the excessive spiciness from the food, use lighting that doesn't hurt your eyes and remove the music, things can get really good here. It's better to sit outside, as you're far away from music and sometimes bright lights.

Sat comfortably with 7 people and ate really delicious food, whether it was grilled, steak, pasta or pizza - great! We will be happy to be guests at Gecco again - 100%!

So you've never been to Nordhorn in the Grafschaft Bentheim district? Are you serious ? And you've never been to Gecco in the "Alten Rawepark"? Sorry, then you really missed something so far. At Gecco you can not only eat well and have a very good breakfast, but you can also simply unwind, enjoy life and the service on site and let your children run in the park of the café/restaurant and on the playground. It is a gem in the middle of a stressful world. Personally, I can only recommend a visit. I have already stopped by this café/restaurant for a birthday, breakfast or a coffee. And every time, it's like coming home for me. So, go to Nordhorn and leave the stressful world behind you. Enjoy the hours and take some time to relax and let yourself be pampered by the fabulous on-site staff.

More appearance than reality. Closing the kitchen at 9 p.m. on a Saturday evening is not appropriate for a restaurant where the main courses cost 30 euros or more. The cutlery for the starter should still be used (not possible at all) and there were no desserts. Just ice cream. The map is also too big for my liking. The location in the park is undoubtedly beautiful, the furniture is harmonious, but the tables are very close together, so the background noise is high. This restaurant wouldn't be able to hold its own in a big city with other competition.

The food is delicious, but also correspondingly expensive. So far okay. A really good kitchen. The waiting time for the food was very long. We waited over an hour for six main courses. We had an extremely delicious mezze ahead of time. However, I asked NOT to make any special adjustments to the starter, but rather to prepare the main courses immediately. Was not implemented. After 30 minutes at the table, the starter was cleared away, then we waited another 20 minutes for the main courses. The service was bad. Not once were we actively asked whether we wanted any more drinks. We were there for about two hours, during which everyone only had one drink. The waitress was only with us to serve food or clear empty plates. Otherwise she ignored our table.

Unfortunately, the first condition was not to bring us a printed drinks menu. She said rather unkindly that it no longer exists and that you can only download it manually. After another request from another waitress. If we immediately received a printed card with the words you just had to ask then it wouldn't be a problem.

For me the best address in the county of Bentheim. Modern but not too large menu, special drinks and food, great ambience (both outside and inside), always great promotions (e.g. at Christmas time) and good service. Not the cheapest restaurant but it can still be special. I think people with vegan or restricted diets (intolerances) will also find what they are looking for here.

The Gecco is beautifully located in Nordhorn's city park. The service has always been great, very accommodating, fast and friendly. The meat dishes were very well cooked. If you like tender and medium-rare, you should definitely note this. The pinsa is very good, but quite small portions. Overall the pasta dishes were good. Alcoholic drinks were always delicious. Unfortunately the acoustics inside are very bad. So it's rather tiring to understand your counterpart. Overall, a rather expensive restaurant that doesn't always do justice to the price.

Restaurant gehört eher der oberen Preisklasse an, das Essen schmeckte gut, hätte für mich aber etwas mehr Würze haben dürfen, aber solche Dinge sind für jeden einzelnen Gast einfach schwierig zu treffen, da muss man halt eine gute goldene Mitte finden und das haben sie wohl. Service, Essen, alles war eigentlich völlig in Ordnung, ein wenig gestört hat mich nur der Geräuschpegel. Das Lokal war nicht übermäßig voll, dafür dennoch recht laut für mein Empfinden. Wir sind auf Wunsch einer anderen Person in dieses Restaurant eingekehrt. Ich würde auf mehrheitlichen Wunsch anderer auch wohl wieder dort hingehen, ich für mich selbst würde allerdings andere Lokalitäten bevorzugen.

Unimaginative, run-of-the-mill menu, dishes seem like they were "somehow thrown together", portions are outrageously expensive and quite small - far from an acceptable price-performance ratio. Some of the meat in the cheese burger was still raw. Bruschetta was definitely not freshly prepared. Diarrhea 5 hours after eating. My friends' food was swimming in simple tomato sauce. It seems to be the chef de cuisine's favorite sauce. It's a shame about the nice atmosphere and the location of the restaurant. In the interior, however, you sit quite crammed together.

For gourmet connoisseurs and gourmets, it is very noticeable that the food is not freshly cooked here. Especially the falafel is a complete disaster 🤦‍♂️ For the price in such an atmosphere, it's outrageous to bring something like that to the guest at the table. 2 - Service was OK not good enough for such an atmosphere. 3 - Some menus need to be reworked such as the pizza, the homemade version over 10€ was a children's menu of bread with cheese🤦‍♂️ and the asparagus soup started as a starter, more finished soup doesn't work🤦‍♂️ We were all very disappointed, sorry never again. - The ice cream was delicious 👍👍👍👍

Mega leckeres Essen, toller, netter Service. Es wurde immer nett nachgefragt, ob alles in Ordnung ist, ob mit dem Essen alles okay wäre, ob man an Getränken noch was möchte, einfach top. Große Auswahl an Gerichten, sogar vegan.
