The evening was a great experience. The atmosphere is cozy and the service is as you would imagine in Japan. The sake tasting set is perfect to get you started and the food was really delicious. We will definitely come back!

Another nice Japanese spot in Frankfurt am Main. High quality of food and friendly stuff like in almost every Japanese restaurant. Menu is changing very often, so you can always find something new and tasty. Lot of small and big dishes for every pocket. I like this place a lot. Try it and you want regret.

It wasn't a typical restaurant that served Japanese food, but a wonderful restaurant that served proper and delicious Japanese food! We recommend this restaurant to those who miss Japanese food.

An absolutely fantastic bar! The atmosphere is authentic and cozy, perfect for a relaxed evening. The selection of sake, shochu and many other alcoholic beverages is impressive. But it's not just the alcohol that is highly recommended: the food and small snacks are delicious and go perfectly with the drinks. Especially the Gyutataki and the Mase Ramen are highly recommended! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive, and the recommendations were always on point. I would highly recommend this bar to anyone who wants to experience a piece of Japan in our city. It's definitely worth a visit - I'll definitely be back!

A very cute izakaya. You can choose a three-glass wine tasting set or order a la carte. The variety of wine is rich and the wine vessels are also exquisite. There is a table selling utensils at the entrance. Although the price is high, the appearance is worthy of it. Ordered dishes to go with the wine: - The spring rolls stuffed with sauerkraut and rice cakes should be sauerkraut made from mustard greens, which eliminates the greasiness of fried food and adds to the texture of the rice cakes. - The appetizer platter and tofu beef are both unmistakable choices. - Fried shrimp, crispy and fragrant. - Miso rice balls, the miso aroma is full of flavor, it would be better if the rice balls could be crispier. - The grapefruit ice cream balls are added with some grapefruit jam and grapefruit-flavored wine, which makes the taste more layered. The per capita consumption is not low, but the taste and atmosphere are not outstanding, so it can be recommended. Went again in 2024: The wine list seems to have newly added beers from Kanazawa City, and the flavor is very good. Tagesempfehlung is still very distinctive. The pickles were not very uniform in flavor, and the ramen was very bland, which I didn't like very much.

Food was good. Ambience ok, service unfortunately spoke neither German nor English, which would be expected in Frankfurt. Apparently, if there are a larger number of people (there were 8 of us), an obligatory starter for 20 euros pp must be consumed, a rather questionable concept.

Great place to grab a bite & drink and move onwards or spend the whole evening traveling through the Sake menu. Service was helpful, friendly and present. Hot food was hot, cold food was at the table in minutes. Won't have been my last time, a lot of tasty sounding dishes left to try.

The food is really very good, as is the sake. Actually, it was always an absolute favorite of ours, unfortunately today we were a bit frightened by the fact that the table reservation was not kept. The service was also very slow afterwards.

Not quite what I was expecting from a sake bar but it was interesting enough to want to return. Only thing which bothered me slightly (and hence the neutral review) is that some of the personnel were unfriendly whilst others are (by European standards overly friendly).

Die J'epoca SAKAbar ist eines dieser Restaurants bei denen man sich auf eine Reise begibt und ganz vergisst dass man sich noch im Zentrum von Frankfurt befindet: Das super leckere Essen, der zuvorkommende und freundliche Service sowie die authentische Inneneinrichtung geben einem das Gefühl vollkommen in die japanische Welt einzutauchen. Wir waren zu viert und haben uns etwa 10/11 Vorspeisen sowie zwei Hauptgerichte bestellt. Alles Gerichte waren sehr lecker aber die flambierten Lachs Sashimi und das teriyaki Hähnchen waren herausragend. Immer wieder gerne

Richtig tolles Essen. Sehr gute Auswahl, alles hat geschmeckt - insbesondere das flambierte Lachs-Sashimi und das teriyaki-Hähnchen. Dazu die gyozas mit Ente. Ein Traum. Wir hatten zu viert etwa 10 japanische tapas und 2 Hauptgerichte, alles war lecker. Man sitzt gemütlich, ursprüngliches Ambiente und toller Service. Dazu eine große Auswahl an Sake. Grauburgunder absolut zu empfehlen, wir kommen gerne wieder.

Authentic, delicious, and friendly!

Sehr leckere und auch außergewöhnliche Gerichte. Wir haben zu zweit vier japanische Tapas gegessen und waren satt. Auch das Matcha-Eis war sehr lecker. Es ist empfehlenswert, sich Zeit zum Essen zu nehmen und verschiedene Sake zu probieren. Ein wirklich tolles Erlebnis.

Best sake bar in Frankfurt. The tapas are amazing. All the food I chose taste amazing! The servers are very kind and the service are quick. I like the timing of food coming in are precise so we don’t get overwhelmed with multiple things on our plate. The sake is unlike the usual and comes as a surprise as they tasted amazing.

Ordered aburi salmon sashimi which was excellence. The yaki onigiri required further improvement. Ambience is good. The space is not big, make sure you made reservation before come.

Sehr schönes und liebevolles Restaurant. Da ich danach noch fahren musste, konnte ich von den vielen ansprechenden Sake-Drinks leider nichts probieren aber die Speisen waren wirklich super! An die leckeren frittierten Garnelen musste ich den ganzen Rest des Tages noch denken. Die Bedienung war auch wirklich sehr lieb und souverän. Jederzeit gerne wieder!

Ein netter Abend mit höflichem Personal, was auch noch die allerletzte Frage zu den eher nicht alltäglichen Speisen beantwortet. Sehr angenehme Räumlichkeiten.

Wie ein Schmuckstück, befindet sich die J`epoca SAKAbar im Herzen Sachsenhausens. Die Atmosphäre, der Sake, die Snaks und das tolle Team machen es zu einem einzigartigen Besuch. Im Shop habe ich mich schon mit tollem Sachen für zu Hause eindecken können. Leider war ich schon lange nicht mehr da, aber ich werde bald wieder kommen.

프랑크푸르트의 사케집. 친절한 직원들 과 사장 그리고 맛있는 음식들. 메뉴들은 Tapas(작은 그릇에 나옴)로 나오며 양은 가격에 비해 넉넉하지 않지만 재료들이 신선하면서 값비싼 재료들을 사용해서 가격은 수긍이 간다. 음식들의 맛도 훌륭하며 간도 적당하여 짠맛에 익숙해져버린 입맛을 정화시켜주는 듯 하다. 확실히 프랑크푸르트는 일본 레스토랑들이 한국 레스토랑보다 경쟁우위에 있는듯 하다. 사케 종류는 17개 정도 되는걸로 보았는데 여기가 일본이 아닌 독일이라는 점에서 이 정도의 구비로도 충분히 사케를 즐길수 있는 장소로 손색이 없다.

Gott sei Dank wohne ich direkt neben dran und kann so oft es nur geht für ein wunderbares Abendessen dorthin gehen. Gerade die Tatsache das es sich eher um japanische Tapas als um Hauptgerichte handelt, macht es so spannend und vielfältig. Wirklich sehr sehr lecker und empfehlenswert. Die Gastgeberinnen sind auch immer mehr als aufmerksam und freundlich!!!

石川県の酒蔵のおいしい日本酒が飲めます。また、日本酒以外のビール、サワー、ワイン、ソフトドリンクもあります。 料理もおい しく穴場の和食店といった雰囲気です。

Liebe zum Detail – das beschreibt sowohl das Ambiente, den Service und einfach das wundervolle Essen. Mit überschreiten der Türschwelle taucht man in die japanische Welt ein und das ganz ohne Kitsch. Der Laden ist stilvoll und gemütlich eingerichtet, man fühlt sich sofort wohl. Toller Service, der hilfsbereit die kleinen Feinheiten der umfangreichen Sake-Karte erklärt und auch beim Essen dann gerne noch auf die eine oder andere Kostbarkeit Aufmerksam macht, die man probiert haben muss. Und dann das Essen: Zugegeben, so manches hat man sich dann anders vorgestellt in seinem europäischen Kopf –aber die Qualität ist großartig. Ob Hühnchen, Schweineschulter, Kimchi, Gemüse, Miso, Omlette,... es war einfach so unfassbar lecker! Und man merkte, mit wie viel Liebe zum Detail hier das Essen zubereitet wurde. Die große Auswahl an vielen verschiedenen kleinen japanischen Tapas macht einfach sehr viel Spaß. Für einen kurzen kulinarischen Ausflug nach Japan also genau das richtige und seinen Preis wert!

日本人経営の安心和食。石川県の酒を多く取り揃えており日本酒好きには良い。食事も優しい味付けで日本人向け。ドイツ料理屋と比 べると量はどうしても少ない。

和食をツマミに日本酒を飲む店。料理は全て小ぶりですが、味付けは優しいものばかり。日本酒の種類も豊富で、好みをリクエストす るとアドバイスしてくれます。

フランクフルトで美味しい食事をしてお腹が膨らんだ後は、日本酒バーで美味しい日本のお酒を楽しんではいかがでしょう？　北陸の 美味しい日本酒を北陸美人がこれ以上ない、微笑みとともにふるまってくれますよ。　お酒と美しさに酔いすぎに注意しましょう。　場所はザクセンハウゼンですが、少し判りにくい路地にありますので、場所をしっかり確認して行きましょう。

Izakaya sind japanische Bars/Kneipen. Der Fokus liegt auf einem guten Sake, nicht auf dem Essen. Man hat die Auswahl zwischen über 16 verschiedenen Sake. Für Einsteiger gibt es Probiersets mit drei verschiedenen Sake. Der Sake kann in verschienenden Größen bestellt werden: von 0,12l über das klassische Masu (0,18l) bis hin zur Flaschengröße. Ich trinke Sake gerne mit etwas Salz auf die Kante des Masu-Würfels. Selbst das ist kein Problem. Zum Sake kann man verschiedene kleine Gerichte bestellen, die typisch sind für Izakayas. Sie laufen hier unter "japanische Tapas". Sicherlich können 4 bis 5 dieser Taps auch ein Abendessen ersetzen, aber wie gesagt, aus meiner Sicht liegt der Fokus des J'epoca auf dem Sake. Die Einrichtung ist eher schlicht und für meinen Geschmack etwas zu kühl für eine Bar. Gemütlichkeit entsteht nur in der Gruppe. Leider geht der Sakegenuss an den Inhalt der Brieftasche. Das ist nun nicht die Schuld des des J'epoca. Es liebt an den Einkaufspreisen für Sake. Wer hier eine langen Abend plant, sollte ausreichend Geld einplanen. Das J'epoca liegt im Partyviertel von Sachenshausen (südlich des Mains). Man kann den Abend hier starten oder hier ausklingen lassen (am Wochenende bis 1 Uhr geöffnet) oder auch den ganzen Abend hier verbringen. Fazit: Ein Ort für Sakefans.

日本でもあまり見かけない日本酒を、程々の価格で提供してくれる日本酒バー。寿司や刺身はありませんが、出汁巻玉子や金平、おひ たし等駐在員にはたまらない小つまみが。今の季節はおでん＆日本酒の定番が楽しめます。料理は全て小さめ・多少安めで品数多く食べたい人には適しています。

The restaurant is not very big, so it is recommended that you make reservations. The restaurant have a big selection of sake and the waitresses are very happy to tell you their characteristics, what is unique about them and recommend something for your taste. I took the sake taste selection, which includes 3 types of different sake. That is the best way to taste different type of sake. There is a premium taste selection, but it taste too 'delicate' to my taste to fully appreciate :) The place also has very good Japanese food, but they are small portions. It would be seen as starters at other places, but they are very well prepared and tasty!

This is a very nice place with lots of different sake (the difference and the quality of which are difficult to tell for a West European). Nice food is being served and a little shop of Japanese tableware complements this place. Nice people.
