JaVi - Japanese & Vietnamese Restaurant, Schleißheimerstraße 182 The JaVi Restaurant, just a 7-minute walk from the Hohenzollernplatz subway station, is easy to reach and also offers paid but sufficient parking spaces in the area. The ambience is appealing: the interior is tastefully decorated with artificial flowers, creating a stylish atmosphere. The fine tableware underlines the sophisticated standards of the restaurant. The menu offers a great mix of Japanese and Vietnamese dishes, including classic sushi and dishes like salmon teriyaki. The quality of the food is excellent and JaVi leaves nothing to be desired in terms of taste. The food is consistently fresh and beautifully presented, which completes the culinary experience. However, there were also points that marred the visit. We had reserved for 7 p.m. and were informed right at the beginning that our table had to be available by 9 p.m. because there would be a change in reservation after that. We found this annoying and inflexible - such a notice dampens the mood, especially when you are planning a relaxed dinner. Another point of criticism is the price: a salmon teriyaki for €24 and a glass of wine for €9.50 put the JaVi in a higher price segment, which is not necessarily in proportion to the overall positive, but not exceptional, experience. Conclusion: The JaVi impresses with its elegant ambience, excellent food and an interesting fusion of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. However, the rather rude note about the reservation duration and the high prices leave room for improvement. We give it 4 out of 5 stars and are considering whether we will visit the restaurant again soon because of the price-performance ratio.

It was a lovely evening with delicious food. The service is super friendly. A table reservation is recommended. Because the restaurant is full, the noise level is a bit high. Gladly again!

Unfortunately, the JaVi didn't really impress me. The food was good, but not outstanding either. What bothered me a bit was the very German-inspired decoration on my sushi, which consisted of chives and cress. I just missed the authenticity.

+ friendly and attentive service + delicious food + nice ambience - Portions too small - too little rice, so reordered, paid €3.50.. way too expensive. You should already be full. It has NEVER happened to me in a restaurant that you have to pay for the extra rice. Okay in itself, but the price is definitely too high for this small bowl of rice. Too bad.

*A Tasteful wonder in Munich* We went to Javi Restaurant in Munich yesterday, and it was such a great experience! Everything about the place was spot-on, starting with the lovely ambience. It is truly my favorite asian fusion kitchen in Munich. The sushi has the best cost-benefit, portions are huge, and the service is just amazing. The place is spatious, and very beautiful. I recommend to everyone!

Best sushi shop I've ever been to! The three of us ate this €99 sushi platter and were well full. It's more than it looks and the quality is simply amazing. From now on, this is my “place to go” in Munich when it comes to Suhsi. Thanks for the food!

This time we where unhappy with the service. Friendly but lazy. The food announced as spicy was not spicy at all. The vegetarian options are not sufficient. The tea cups where banged. This time we where not happy.

Javi serves good Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. The sushi in particular is great (just a little too big to fit into your mouth with any elegance). The ambience is also really nice with its cherry trees. Very elegant and welcoming.

It was such good food! Truly the best sushi I have eaten in Munich, by far. And I am used to the norwegian sushi quality. And the service was amazing. Our waiter was super nice and did the special reservation request with the perfect timing. Super classy and elegant.

Unfortunately not exciting. The dumplings were good, but they certainly weren't homemade. The spring rolls had little filling. In the salad with crispy fish there were a few millimeter-sized pieces of fried sardines. The prices are quite high. The price-performance ratio for the wine was also not ok. Too bad. The atmosphere is appealing and I was really looking forward to some good food.

Javi is and remains the best sushi restaurant, 6 years ago I had our first date there with my husband and since then I have been happy to come to you again and again, the food (we had a sushi platter for 3) is always fantastic and my husband liked sushi never, but since javi he loves sushi 😍 thanks and see you soon

We usually order once a week - unfortunately the Pho Bo was completely wrong, almost no broth (it was extremely fatty) only meat and noodles, no herbs, sprouts etc. I also called to say that I was very disappointed with the soup . Maybe I expected too much as regular then the offer to order a new soup etc.

Consistently “upscale”, typical Vietnamese food. The udon noodle dishes stand out in Munich. Sushi looks delicious, but I haven't had the chance yet...

Here too: Best shop! The sushi is extremely good and extremely varied. Beautiful creations, my favorite are definitely the Chrunchyrolls. The rest of the food is also very tasty and super fresh. And for dessert, be sure to try the coconut balls, you may not have experienced such a great taste before. been there probably seven times now. The staff is as it should be.

For water... The sushi at the next table didn't look so bad. But I'm not sure if I'll come again. The service was very taciturn

Have never had food that wasn’t worth 5-stars. The only restaurant in Munich we’ve eaten at twice because it’s so yummy and convenient.

Very nice restaurant with both good sushi and curries or frames. Very, very nice decor, maybe a little too pink for some. Nice service. We had a place next to the kitchen and unfortunately it smelled a bit strong from time to time. The prices are relatively high, but there are definitely cheaper alternatives in the city center with similar offerings but a simpler atmosphere. Everyone has to decide for themselves what is more important to them :) Unfortunately, the mochi ice cream wasn't to my taste, but the coconut balls were even better.

More appearance than reality..!!! Unfortunately, the food is relatively poor and unspectacularly prepared and the sushi all tastes the same. Unfortunately, the waiter wasn't friendly either and didn't even say thank you after paying and our request for a bottle of water was simply forgotten... we then had to wait about 1 hour for 2 people

We enjoyed the food very much. From summer rolls, spring rolls, soup, sushi and various main courses. Everything freshly made.

Real attentive service, never experienced in Munich. After you were called six times, you were never noticed by the service staff, even though they saw you with their eyes. Not recommended.

The food is good but the quality has also deteriorated. Especially the sushi. Unfortunately the service is more than bad. We were there to eat and before paying the bill (with a good tip, of course) we kindly asked for a receipt. In fact, AFTER paying, we were told that it couldn't be issued at the moment and it would take a short moment. After 45 minutes and repeated inquiries you say we will send you the invoice by post. Today (1 week later) I received the poorly scanned invoice via email. Thank you very much for allowing me to print out the receipt after this more than unsuccessful evening because the restaurant also wanted to save on postage. If I were you, I would have invited the guest and excused myself with dessert. You are now making me more work because you want to save on postage. I find that bottomless. I left my address and not even offering your customers a drink after 45 minutes of waiting is just as stupid as your answer, which is not true because I left you my address details and telephone number. Taking a week to send an email also reflects your quality of service.

Atmosphere and food was ok, but we didn't appreciate the waitress accepting payment and then lecturing us that tipping was customary in the restaurant/city. We had been to many restaurants in different cities in Germany and this was the only one which commented about a tip. We obviously didn't know and couldn't speak the same language as the waitress, but she felt it was necessary to somehow make us aware of it and make us feel bad about it to eventually get a tip from a friend of ours who was there with us. All this after paying a good amount for the meals too.

Such a good place to try rolls! We took 2 portions of 5 specials, and to my surprise, it was enough for 2 people, as the rolls were really big. Separate point for the great serving: it's not only beautiful, but also very tasty. Although the restaurant was quite full, it still felt cosy and not overcrowded or loud. We enjoyed it a lot!

A great restaurant for Japanese/Vietnamese cuisine. My recommendation here are the excellent starters, which are great for sharing. For the main course I can't avoid the Vit Curry (crispy duck in curry). I recommend making a reservation in advance as the restaurant can get very busy at peak times.

Top sushi, nice courteous service

Delicious sushi but a bit overpriced. We also ordered Vegetarian Hisagi which was panko coated fried sushi. Very tasty! The service was a bit slow or I think they forgot our order, it took almost 30 mins for food to arrive after drinks. Everything was fresh, we also enjoyed the toboki. Would visit again.

The food wasn't particularly good for the price. The sushi was very dry and I received a new one but not the same one I had ordered. I still had to pay for everything and that's a disgrace. I would not recommend the store and am very dissatisfied!

Seriously disappointed with the overall impression. The good reviews are incomprehensible. Nice ambience but extremely loud. Very bad service because when I order mango salad with crispy fish and only receive an unripe mango cut into strips with dressing and red onions and then ask the waiter if anything is missing, the icing on the cake is to say that unfortunately they forgot to tell me that the fish is no longer included in the salad. The full price of 9.50 was then charged for bland, unripe mango salad without crispy fish. The duck with pak choi and the tofu with lukewarm noodles also didn't taste convincing at all. Duck dry, pak choy hard, tofu almost cold and peanut sauce also bland.

I've been going to the restaurant for 4 years. Unfortunately the last two times we went the food left something to be desired. The quality has dropped a lot. We ordered a curry that had no flavor and only had broth. It really felt like eating a box of curry. The quality of the sushi has also dropped. Ours had more avocado than salmon.

Hi Even though we alerted the waiter two times to the severe nut allergy of one of our party; the mixed appetisers still came with a salad containing peanuts. We had asked to go through dish by dish to understand the content but they still put this on the table without telling/warning. Waiter explained 3 times at the end that the tip was not included in the 400 euro invoice. Had no intention of leaving a tip for a near death experience. That seemed hard for them to understand. On a positive note: the food we could eat tasted nice. PS they also need to invest in AC

Under average to average food, nothing special for 100+€. Quality of the duck was poor, super dry. Basic sushi. Service was kind. Loud street in front of the restaurant. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend it, we didn't have a good experience. Overrated in my opinion.
