JaVi - Japanese & Vietnamese in München

An atmospheric place where you can eat well, the place also delights with its decor, I will definitely go back there.

A true gem for sushi lovers! We were absolutely thrilled with our visit to this sushi restaurant. From the moment you enter, you can sense the special atmosphere – the ambiance is stylish, tranquil, and inviting. A real highlight is the beautiful tree in the center of the restaurant, which lends the space a special, almost magical touch. The staff was exceptionally friendly, attentive, and welcoming. You feel welcome and well looked after from the very first moment. And, of course, most importantly: the food! The sushi was not only fresh and creatively presented, but also tasted absolutely top-notch. Every bite was a delight. A place you'll gladly return to – for special occasions as well as for a relaxed dinner. A definite recommendation! We will be back :)

Excellent place combining Vietnamese and Japanese cuisines and offering a very extensive menu. The dishes are perfectly prepared, cooked to perfection. Very well advised by the waiters. A real treat! Not to be missed during a visit to Munich. 👌

The food was very, very delicious. Unfortunately, we had to wait a long time to order, and paying also took a while. Luckily, the food itself came very quickly, and the service was very friendly. The interior was super nice; the music was just a bit too loud and it was hard to hear each other. The homemade strawberry lemonade was amazing.

We've been to JaVi on Schleißheimer Straße several times – and we're always impressed. A first-class Asian restaurant! 🌸🍜🍣 The presentation of the food is simply a highlight every time – beautifully presented, almost too good to eat. But at the very first bite, you notice: The quality and the fine flavors are also top-notch. Everything is fresh, subtly seasoned, and incredibly delicious. The birthday surprise for our daughter was particularly nice – loving, warm, and beautifully presented. A moment we will certainly never forget. 👉 Conclusion: For us, one of the best Asian restaurants in Munich – fantastic cuisine, great presentation, and an all-round successful experience. We'll definitely be back!

Food was so so, two different soups were terrible, curry was ok and shushi also was quite fine. Really unfriendly waiter, he behaved as we are intruders, unpolite answers for our questions, we were kick out after 2h (that was reservation time), but still half of restaurant was empty in that time...

Unfortunately, one star was given for service, as when I tried to pay with a MasterCard, they tried to charge me a fee. The reason given was that the card wasn't an EU card. Absolutely unacceptable! To the owners: Get a good card or have it properly programmed, because that's driving away your guests.

So the prices are reasonable for the quality...an asset to the area!

The vibe is cool, the servers obviously didn't want us there and rushed us out the building, so much so as to move our sauce and condiments off our table while we were eating onto another table. That's extremely rude to do. The food was mediocre at best and the portions were insultingly small. No real flare to the food, and no amount of fake cherry trees inside the restaurant can make up for mediocre flavor.

Expensive but good. For me, this is good value for money. If you have something to celebrate, you should make a reservation in advance.

JaVi, Munich In the heart of the city – a quiet transition. Japan and Vietnam in a clear composition. A place where Munich breathes the taste of faraway places.

The atmosphere is very pleasant, with calm music playing in the background, all the tables are clean, and there are no unpleasant odors. I really enjoyed the food; you can immediately tell the freshness and quality of the products. It's advisable to reserve a table in advance. The downsides include the unsociable staff and their limited German skills. I also noticed a small hair in the sushi.

Delicious food and the most amazing atmosphere! We had gyoza, wantons, spring rolls and ga curry - so good 👏🏼 We also had lemonades and beer so couldn’t complain about the price. We came on a Wednesday night with no reservation and the staff managed to find us a table even though it was a very busy night. The staff was very sweet but busy so you had to wait for some time between getting their attention to order. Would love to visit again despite having to wait a little during our visit.

The food was excellent! The ambiance is truly lovely. Only the service was a bit "brief," presumably due to the need for efficiency given the busy restaurant. ... I was back a year later. The impression remains. The food is of excellent quality. In terms of taste, it's one of the best Vietnamese/Japanese restaurants in Munich, in my opinion. The only criticism is similar to last time. Due to the crowds, the service is a bit difficult at times. Still, --> 5 stars 🌟

We used a voucher to pay, which the lady didn't like at all. No smile, no thank you—simply rude. We won't go there again.

The food was okay, but the service was a complete disaster. The bill was €71.50, and I asked the waitress for €74. She typed in €75 and started arguing with me, saying she'd already typed in €75. She insisted I pay €75 and gave me a receipt, saying that was the bill to rip me off. I work in the restaurant industry myself. And that's not professional. That's called ripping off customers. I don't think I'll see her again.

Very delicious food! I had rice with chicken and peanut sauce, and my friends ordered sushi. For starters, we had spring rolls and edamame – everything was fresh and delicious.

Everything was great! I really liked appetizer number 13. The sushi was also very fresh. But the star of the evening was the strawberry cheesecake mochi! It was one of the best desserts I've ever had. I would come back for that alone.

Excellent restaurant! The atmosphere is nice , the decoration is beautiful. The food is delicious. We ordered Ogawa roll, Alaska, ebi tempura, gioza and edamame. Everything was well plated and flavorful. Highly recommend this. Definitely coming back!

Very high quality food and ambience. The dish was not only delicious but also served in a very appealing way (see picture).

When I made the reservation, I requested a quiet table in the back. Upon arrival, we were assigned a seat right by the open window, which was noisy and drafty. When I asked to change tables, we were rudely told that this was the only seat and that no changes were possible – period. The food and service were good. However, a refill of rice (a small bowl) was charged €3.20; I found this unusual, petty, and excessive. All of this put a damper on our visit.

The food was delicious. The plate was smaller than a baby's portion. I thought another plate would come, but unfortunately none came. The food was good. But it was finished after 5 minutes. The service was awful. I asked for the restroom, but I was told: "Somewhere upstairs."

It's okay. A bit crowded with the people sitting next to you, the service staff was stressed, the food was okay... but in my experience, that's normal for Munich.

We arrived in Munich and of course there was a question where to have dinner, we chose a restaurant with Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine, a very nice place, clean, neat and of course the food was beyond all expectations! I ordered ramen, ordered rolls and sashimi, the freshest fish, a very tasty combination. I highly recommend visiting this restaurant, you will not regret it!

We went to dinner to try something new, next to us there was a rather rude couple who turned their backs on us while we were eating. The girl with a timely intervention decided to offer them a more intimate table that had become available a few minutes before. Thank you Cooking, service and respect

Very enjoyable experience. The mango-coconut duck dish I had was one of the best plates of food I had in my life. Absolutely delicious. My wife had the pineapple curry chicken dish which was also really good. The restaurant has beautiful decor and the service was good. I would highly recommend it.

A nice asian restaurant to visit for lunch and dinner. I was here for lunch and really liked the food although for some of the items the price was a bit on the higher end, otherwise everything else was good. Definitely recommended.

A truly fantastic Asian restaurant! The ambiance with the sakura trees is simply gorgeous, and the service was top-notch. We felt wonderfully served and were able to enjoy the finest Asian dishes, including various sushi variations, dumplings, perfect soups, and beautifully presented mochi ice cream. The drink selection was also great. We will definitely be back again! Update: Everything was fantastic on our second visit too! It seems like JaVi is now known throughout Munich, as it was very busy, but this perfect restaurant certainly deserves it. See you next time!

Very noisy restaurant with poor acoustics. You hardly understand the person you're talking to. The service was very nice and accommodating. Unfortunately my main course was totally over salted. To make up for it, I was kindly offered an extra drink, but the food didn't make up for it.

We were in Munich for three days and ate there two evenings with our two teenagers. It was super tasty and freshly prepared. The sushi and starters were also great. It couldn't be better, keep it up, we'll definitely be back!

Cozy place, friendly staff, our waiter checked in with us often which was very nice, food was great, we sat outside at a table which was not stable at a touch - our waiter fixed it when we adressed the issue.

We were very happy with the food, especially the starters. The room itself is nice, but it is quite loud there.

Food is of very good quality, especially the mango chicken with rice, but also the dumplins. Very nice and appropriately furnished. You definitely need a reservation, it is actually always fully booked. I think prices of €30-35 per person are OK for the service.

I think I would commit crimes across multiple countries to get another bowl of their rice dishes dear god its good

Very nice atmosphere. The service took a while to arrive, as did the food. The food was good, but I didn't really like the sushi. There was also a limited selection of sushi.

The vegetarian buns and the vegetarian spring rolls are highly recommended. For dessert there was mochi ice cream in chocolate and coconut flavors, very tasty. The service staff was courteous, but pleasantly reserved. The prices are good for the quality, the ambience and the service. I'd love to come back.

We dined here on a Wednesday evening. The restaurant was very full, which didn't surprise me at all later. I've never had such good sushi! The service was also very friendly and the atmosphere was really pretty with the cherry blossom tree. Price/performance is definitely right and we would be happy to come back. However, you should definitely make a reservation because, as I said, it is very busy!

The JaVi is attractively furnished, the food is really delicious and wholesome, the service is impeccable and friendly: a clear recommendation, even if it can get a bit loud with so many guests and is not a place for quiet conversations 😉 Finding a parking space can take some time. The price level is "upscale in Munich"... 0.2 white wine costs just under 10 EUR, a starter around 15 EUR and a main course around 20 EUR We'll definitely go back - because the food is really delicious!

Very nice location with excellent food. There is such a large selection of sushi and also types that I didn't know before. Point of criticism: 1.5 hour time slots are very limited, also because the waitress only took the order about 20 minutes later. Be sure to reserve in advance, otherwise you won't get a seat.

An excellent restaurant. Had two curries with duck which were really worth the price of €24 each. The curry with pineapple was one of the best in my life. Very friendly staff and very nice facility. Just a little loud if you sit next to the speakers. Otherwise 10/10

Eating on site is great but the lunch menu is really not good at all... it's a completely different world.

The inviting atmosphere is not deceptive! The food tastes great and the portions are really big! Everything is beautifully prepared too. The prices are definitely justified! Above all, the dishes always have a certain unique touch compared to the large number of Asian restaurants and therefore stand out. The large appetizer platter alone has a much larger selection than is usually the case, from shrimp and chicken skewers (huge) to mango salad and various sauces. Really great! Be sure to reserve, even during the week!

We recently had the pleasure of visiting JaVi - Japanese & Vietnamese Restaurant in Munich and loved it. The food was excellently prepared and offered an authentic flavor combination of Japanese and Vietnamese cuisine. We were particularly impressed by the elegant ambience with the beautiful cherry blossom arrangements, which create an inviting atmosphere. The service was attentive and friendly, which further enriched our visit. We are already looking forward to our next visit to JaVi!

We love javi and dine there quite often. The food is great, sushi are tasteful and there is a lot of choice. Recently I’ve tried tuna tatar which I didn’t quite like, but the rest was good like always.

We were here today, unfortunately the service was very unfriendly and incredibly unsympathetic. Despite having a reservation, we had to wait 15 minutes and were not even looked at afterwards, very rude! Food was ok but the service...

ATTENTION: Be careful if you have vouchers for this restaurant from Bon Bon or something like that. If the price of the meal is below the voucher value, the entire voucher is simply redeemed and the remaining credit is taken as a nice tip. Impudence! That's a disgrace!

Cozy restaurant with a nice ambience where you immediately feel at home. The menu is large and offers something for everyone - there are even delicious options for those with soy intolerance. The food was super tasty, the portions are decent and none of us went home hungry. Taking a dog wasn't a problem either. The waiters were all very friendly and attentive - you really feel like you're in good hands here. Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to enjoy good food in a relaxed atmosphere!

Food great, staff flop. We've been there several times, the food is really excellent, but the employees are unfriendly, stressed and give you the feeling that you should leave as quickly as possible. We were there for lunch once and sat down at a table when they said it was a table for three and we had to sit away even though there was practically no one else there. 5 minutes later a person came with their teenager and they sat down but were allowed to stay. If you can look past the unfriendly staff, it's a great restaurant.
