Jaudenstadl in Lenggries

Very pleasant ambiance, friendly service. Unfortunately, I didn't find the value for money quite right. It was my second time eating here, but just like the first time, I found the prices a bit too high. Taste is always a matter of opinion, but I still think it's okay but could be improved. The Kasspatzen (snacky dumplings) could use a stronger cheese, and the pulled pork was a bit dry; they could perhaps add more BBQ sauce. What I found very positive, just like the first time, was that the local craftsmen seem to be spending their lunch break here. This is how you support the region 💪

An absolute hit on the way back to Regensburg. A great location in the middle of nature, delicious food, the best fried chicken ever, very friendly and fast service, and two great musicians on top of that. You can't ask for more. We'd love to go back...

August 2025, Jaudenstadl is a restaurant and bar near a toboggan run that can be used in the summer. There is also a large grassy area suitable for events, such as overnight stays for over 500 cars during the Carbagerun. There is a restroom with a shower and toilet. However, this is not designed for large numbers. Additional portable toilet and shower units are installed during events to accommodate the crowds. Beautiful views of the surrounding mountains.

We experienced the "warm service" mentioned on the website in a very special way. We arrived at 11:10 a.m. and wanted something warm to eat. The fact that it wasn't available until 11:30 a.m. wasn't a problem for us. We said we could choose something in peace then. No, we were told by the waiter, he wouldn't hand out the menu until 11:30 a.m. He came back and wanted to take our drinks. Even though I like to order drinks to go with my meal (and not the other way around), we had ordered the drinks in advance, and I asked if there was a drinks menu available by then. "No," was the answer, and when I asked what was available then, I was told, "whatever they usually offer." We then asked for a moment to think about it, which resulted in us going somewhere else, where we experienced true hospitality. It's sometimes embarrassing to think that visitors/vacationers from other German states, who have also been there as guests, have to deal with this dubious hospitality as a normal part of life here. What a pity!

We're here today for the Carbage Run event. Very friendly staff. We got our food quickly. Good portions.

So, I went there for the first time. It was really very good. I visit relatives in Bavaria once a year, and this time we ended our vacation there for dinner. I had the beef tartare and was blown away, but I also tried the cheese spaetzle and the... And now comes the best part... the cordon bleu filled with Obatzter cheese. Everything was incredibly delicious. The atmosphere is very cozy, and the service was very competent and attentive. I would gladly go back and would definitely recommend it.

The cappuccino is actually part of the small 1x1 of gastronomy. It could also taste good if you don't use a lot of sensitivity (quote from the website) to let a watery-tasting broth come out of the machine. Horrible.The regular customers are more likely to drink beer, you don't have to drive there to drink coffee, despite the beautiful view.

It's been a long time since we've been so rudely "not served" as we were yesterday. The Jaudenstadel was always a nice, fun meeting place for locals and holidaymakers. We wanted to have a drink and a bite to eat after a long hike. The waiter said it was closed. There was a board in front of the entrance, closed from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. It was 4 p.m. After we informed us, the waiter went to the board and changed the opening time and informed us "now" it correctly says "it is closed". A ski lift bar that closes at 4 p.m. on a Sunday calls the service concept into question. And the unfriendly manner of the waiter anyway...

Original barn, rustic and cozy. The food is plentiful, the beer is fresh and the service is attentive and very friendly. The price/performance ratio is right. This isn't the last time we've been to the Jaudenstadl.

Sehr leckeres bayrisches Essen mit sehr guten Ambiente. Die Gänsebrust ist sehr zu empfehlen. Es hat wirklich an nichts gefehlt. Jederzeit gerne wieder. Der Parkplatz am Restaurant ist für die Gäste des Restaurants kostenlos.

Apparently everything is reserved and the terrace is only half open due to too few staff. We should come back in 2 hours. It's a shame... But apparently they don't value sales.

You drive here just to read this sign. Thanks for nothing. Online it would be quick to change and add in two minutes, then you can save yourself the trip. We were there at 12:30, which is actually a normal time to have lunch and then you're not supposed to get anything until 3 p.m.? Understand that whoever wants. We would have liked to go sledding after dinner, but not with a hungry stomach. So remember, don't rely on the opening times 🙄

Unfortunately I can only give a review about the service because the order didn't come through. When I asked if we had made a reservation, I said no, and we were told that we should take a seat behind the house. Already an unusual, but still justifiable answer. The waiter who brought us to the table and already had two menus in his hand assigned two couples who had arrived shortly after us to their seats and kindly gave them the two menus that we had intended for us. Just a little later, the table in front of us was also reoccupied with 4 people and shortly afterwards the table behind us received the missing two menus. The table in front of us was now also equipped with menus, culminating in the table in front of us being asked for drinks by the very friendly waitress and we still received no attention. This caused us to finally leave the location and definitely never enter again. We were served very well in the Landermühle restaurant and the food was also excellent.

Schnitzel is quite acceptable for Bavarian standards. Nice and thin and crispy.

Beautiful alpine pasture/hut with a delicious selection of food and great service. Dogs and children are also welcome guests and are well looked after. Absolutely recommended!

Be sure to reserve on the weekend. You can sit inside and outside. Delicious Bavarian dishes and great ambience. Next door is the summer toboggan run for the older kids.

Everything fine! Personally, the portion is too big for me. What I don't like is that the mixed salad is called Caesar salad, because it is actually a mixed salad! The ten ingredients for the classic Caesar salad are: romaine lettuce in olive oil with salt, pepper, yolks from eggs boiled for one minute, Worcestershire sauce, lemon juice and garlic as well as crostini/croutons and parmesan cheese. There is too much else in Jaudenstadl. Therefore one point less.

You didn't feel welcome, but rather courted a bus group. Then we left without eating or drinking.

The service is nice and you can sit nicely in the sun. The ski water is also very tasty!! The food is ok And the price is quite expensive overall...

Came for a traditional German dinner. The food here was amazing! We had the steak and schnitzel and both were delicious. Location was superb. Great surrounding and views. Very cosy inside and we especially loved the service. Our waitress was so friendly and helpful, as tourists who couldn’t speak German. Would absolutely come back!

The food was really really good. I sat there for ages and tried to taste what was in the breading of the schnitzel because it was particularly tasty. We'd love to come back.
