Jägerhaus in Heubach

We went there spontaneously for dinner. The food was super. There was nothing to complain about. As a greeting from the kitchen there was bread with lard and a small spoonful of lentil salad. Incredibly delicious. The main courses were very good and the portions were generous. The service was very, very friendly and accommodating. We were there for the first time today but definitely not the last time.

Very good food with something for every taste. Staff puts a lot of effort into it. Everyone was always friendly, even visiting with children was no problem!

Unfortunately, just giving the dish a nice name isn't enough... "Three kinds of venison under a forest mushroom crust with Brussels sprout leaves, juniper leaves and honey-chestnut ravioli" ... sounded good, we wanted to try it. Apart from the fact that there was no price anywhere, neither for the entire menu nor for this individual dish, and even the waiter had to ask in the kitchen, the name of the dish was much better than the taste. The roast venison was just dry and hard, the other two parts of venison were OK, but there was no sign of a forest pulp crust, the juniper leaves. It was a normal, relatively tasteless sauce (way too little, by the way!), the Brussels sprout leaves turned out to be normal Brussels sprouts and the ravioli, which was also rather dry, was eaten better when it was ready from the refrigerated section of the supermarket. The bread with spread beforehand was totally dry and at least from the day before, the "greetings from the kitchen" was OK. All in all: a lot of fuss about nothing. We found it to be average at best and quite expensive. We're happy to spend a few euros more if the quality is good, but unfortunately that wasn't the case here. Maybe the other dishes are better... otherwise we can't really explain the good reviews. Too bad!

We had made a reservation six months in advance for Christmas, only to be told that our reservation had been canceled and there was no room for us. We were then offered take-away food (20 people) good performance...

We had booked for Christmas dinner in the summer for December 25th, 2024. Unfortunately the booking didn't work out

It's a sad story, we had made a reservation for 20 people in June, this reservation was also confirmed. We went there today to be happy and found out that our reservation could no longer be found. We were told to walk for 1 hour and then we would get a table. This cannot be surpassed in terms of sadness and embarrassment. Family members from Switzerland were also present and disappointed. And we couldn't have a happy family meal afterwards. I am deeply shocked and disappointed.

Stopped here for the first time. Typically furnished. Service was very accommodating. From the first moment we were impressed by the friendly service. Food selection is clear (a good thing, too large a selection tends to be overwhelming) and appropriate to the region. After ordering, to our great joy and surprise, we were served an amuse-gueule. We enjoyed it very much. The starters were absolutely delicious and were eye catching. The main course absolutely convinced everyone. It's been a long time since I've eaten something so tasty. Dessert was the crowning glory. All in all a very, very nice evening. Thanks for that!

The food in the Jägerhaus is really delicious. The reception was very friendly. The service is also very friendly and on the ball. The price/performance ratio is right. The atmosphere is rustic...Sure, hunter's house. However, I don't understand why there are witches and/or other dolls hanging on the ceiling. I hope that we can now enjoy the beautiful terrace. This was not possible due to the weather. We'd love to come back!

My husband and I had dinner here this evening, we felt very comfortable! The waitress was super friendly and had a good overview of everything. The food was great! We received a greeting from the kitchen, which was also very tasty and well prepared! The ambience is perfect for a hunter's lodge! We felt like we were with our grandparents ❤️. We will definitely come more often!

We received a very warm welcome. The atmosphere on the terrace is beautiful. And the food is an absolute highlight. The main courses included a fresh salad and two greetings from the kitchen. We spent a lovely early evening here and will definitely come back!

We were a large group. At our table, the delivery did not correspond to the order, neither were the dumplings colorful nor were the venison dumplings. That was a real shame!

Quaint restaurant - if you want some typical Swabian food, you've come to the right place. Onion roast and veal medallions as well as the side dishes (Spätzle and potato sticks) are a real culinary delight. We'd love to come back. 👍🏻

Very good food. Clear menu. Friendly staff. Too much decoration in the restaurant for my taste. "Less is more " !

We were very satisfied. The ambience is very rustic, corresponding to the Jägerhaus. The child found it very interesting. The food surprised us - much better than expected. The children's meal was also very good. If you want something typically Swabian, this is the right place.

Haben spontan angerufen und einen Tisch für 5 Personen reserviert, das Lokal hat einen eigenen Charm , schön gelegen etwas außerhalb im Wald. Das Essen war sehr gut, frisch gekocht und das Preis Leistung Verhältnis ist top. Kommen auf jeden Fall wieder.

Der Rehbraten war leider sehr trocken. Wurde ohne Bedauern zur Kenntnis genommen. Schade, wir kommen nicht wieder.....

Tolle Auswahl an Gerichten. Essen schmeckt hier sehr gut, vor allem das Schwein vom heißen Stein war hervorragend. Bei gutem Wetter auf der Terrasse, mit schöner Aussicht und gutem Heubacher Bier.

Sehr gutes Essen und eine überaus freundliche Chefin die auch eine Reklamation sofort und unkompliziert aus der Welt geschafft hat ich kann dieses gutbürgerliche Restaurant nur empfehlen

Sehr tolles Restaurant mit toller uriger Ambiente. Hatten hier kurzfristig noch Plätze für 8 Personen bekommen und wurden herzlich Empfangen danke mal es war die Chefin. Sie gingen auch ohne Probleme auf Sonderwünsche ein wie Glutenfreies Essen und so. Wir bekamen unser Essen sehr zügig und was soll ich sagen es war perfekt. Sehr sehr lecker und auch ausreichende Portionen. Preislich ist es auch sehr angenehm. Ich werde auf jedenfall wieder bei euch vorbeikommen.

The thin schnitzel was delicious. The service wasn't the best, the chips were not of the best quality as if they were frozen and reheated. Was an expensive coke zero.

Leider war Soße zu meinem Wiener Schnitzel völlig versalzen. Auf die Frage des Kellners, ob alles ok war, teilte ich ihm dies mit. Er deckte i. A. kommentarlos den Tisch ab und das wars.... Hätte mir eine Entschuldigung von der Küchenchefin oder einen Espresso gewünscht. Wir werden deshalb künftig ein anderes Restaurant suchen, in dem Beschwerden, falls sie nötig sein sollten, auch ernst genommen werden. Das Ambiente war schön.

Tagesessen:,vorab Tasse Kartoffelsuppe,Hauptgericht>Linsen,Spatzen,2Saitenwürstle,die Spätzle selbst gemacht....alles sehr lecker....die bedienende Wirtin sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.Preisleistungsverhältnis top. Wir kommen bestimmt wieder.

Super leckeres Essen und es gab auch kleine Vorspeisen dazu. Die Inhaberin ist sehr freundlich und umsorgt einen hervorragenden. Was hier den Öffnungszeiten nicht zu entnehmen ist, das Restaurant hat auch an Feiertagen durchgehend geöffnet.

Wir sind hier nach einer ausgiebigen Wanderung eingekehrt und waren positiv überrascht über die Gerichte die hier angeboten wurden. Wir haben einen Platz auf der Sonnenterrasse bekommen, wo wir auch gleich bedient wurden. Vor unseren bestellten Gerichten bekammen wir gleich 2 Grüße aus der Küche! Alles hat sehr gut geschmeckt und wurde frisch mit viel Aufmerksamkeit zum Detail zubereitet. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder. Vielen Dank!

Sehr oft vorbei gefahren, heute endlich Mal angehalten. Sind völlig begeistert: sehr nette Bedienung, wir waren voll verwöhnt. Es ging sehr zügig, Essen war traumhaft lecker, im jedem Fall empfehlenswert!

Essen und Service war spitzenklasse. Zu unserem Hochzeitstag wurden wir aus der Küche noch extra verwöhnt.

Das Essen war geschmacklich wundervoll. Da sich die Speisekarte häufig ändert, kann man öfters zum Essen gehen.

Wir haben hier einen Vegi burger und Wild gegessen. Schade, die Qualität war nicht so besonders gut. Das Fleisch sehr trocken gekocht und hat nicht nach Wild geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war außerordentlich freundlich.

Naja, wir hatten den heißen Stein mit Puten-, Schwein-, Rindfleisch, Maiskolben und Kartoffeln mit Kräuterquark. Mit Hunger sollte man besser woanders hingehen und das Fleisch sollte besser komplett auf den Stein gelegt werden da ein späteres nachlegen nicht mehr möglich ist ( Stein ist dann nicht mehr heiß genug). Ist im Grunde wie Raclette, kochen sowie zubereiten muss man selbst. Für das Geld besser in ein Gericht investieren, fährt man definitiv besser. Die Bedienung ist nicht sehr aufmerksam, hätten gerne noch das eine und andere getrunken. Fazit: Nichts für uns sind hungrig aufgestanden und hatten uns Zuhause noch etwas gekocht. Nach unserem letzten Besuch vor rund 10 Jahren, reicht es in weiteren 10 Jahren.

Essen und Bedienung war sehr gut kleines Manko es gibt keine Vesperkarte. Ist vielleicht nicht so ganz gewünscht. Aber bei den Temperaturen zur Zeit wäre eine Alternative zu einem schwerem Essen ganz gut ❤️
