Jagdhäusle in Bad Wörishofen

The food was absolutely delicious. The roast beef with onions was divine, as was the schnitzel. The service was very friendly. If we're ever in the area again, we'll definitely stop by again.

After a pleasant evening stroll through the forest, we stopped at the beautifully situated hunting lodge. Our first impression was a bit like a village tavern, but nice. With a regulars' table and all. After we'd ordered and eaten, we were still craving dessert. But we didn't want to overindulge. So we ordered a Kaiserschmarrn together. But when the man serving us told us that he could only serve one plate and that an additional plate would cost one euro, we were speechless. What the heck is that? Sorry, that really cost me stars in my review.

Nice and quiet place. Great selection of local dishes in good quality. We had a lovely evening and we allowed to spend the night i our campervan on the parking lot

After a hike along the forest path, we stopped in for a good meal. Large beer garden, and outside, they could use some new tables and chairs. Highly recommended.

Delicious food, very friendly service, nice ambiance inside, but unfortunately the plastic garden furniture outside is old and no longer attractive, which is a shame.

There were only 2-3 tables occupied, but I still got the wrong drink (a non-alcoholic wheat beer turned into a regular shandy). The rest was OK, but nothing was convincing enough for me to go back.

Good food, but the service is abysmal. In 2025, only accepting debit cards even though the terminal accepts other payment methods is completely unacceptable. Therefore, not recommended.

The food was delicious. The chef gave us a warm welcome. A short day trip on foot. Beautiful hiking trails all around. We would come back anytime.

Update from June 2025 After a long time, we returned to the Jagdhäusle. Due to our first review, we didn't visit again. The weather was a bit cooler, so we had dinner inside. The service, led by a nice gentleman, was very attentive and friendly. The menu is traditional, with pizza variations and daily specials. We had herring with boiled potatoes and housewife's sauce. Super tasty and generously sized. The ambiance inside is very cozy, and the restrooms were very clean. All in all, we really enjoyed it, and the price was reasonable. Just give it a try and form your own opinion. Stop by; a recommendation from Katja & Ralf. Old review from 2023 We don't quite understand the positive reviews. The beautiful location is certainly the big plus of this inn. The ambiance, with plastic chairs in the garden and on the terrace, which also look unsightly, isn't exactly cozy. Unfortunately, they're trying to generate high sales by using a large number of worn-out chairs and tables. Certainly, because of the coronavirus pandemic, they have to make some money, but the quality suffers as a result. When salads are served with ready-made dressings, it's not so great. On a positive note, the friendly staff deserves mention. If the owner downsizes a bit and the kitchen can actually keep up with the number of guests and provides comfortable seating, this would certainly be a nice place. Idyllic location, a bit dated inside, but clean. Delicious cakes. The staff is attentive, but seems somewhat disorganized. The result: long wait times.

Definitely recommendable, although I found €17 for a sausage salad and a water a bit much... but considering the price of two scoops of ice cream with whipped cream, it's okay...

We were here for coffee and cake. Coffee was ok, nothing special. Cake (apple & raspberry) was also okay, but didn't blow us away either. Unfortunately, the waiters were a bit slow, but nice. The outside and inside are very old. Tables and chairs outside are badly faded and worn. Toilets were clean, but everything here was relatively old-fashioned. Prices were good. There are enough parking spaces available. Card payment possible.

Absolute price/performance winner

The cake from the fresh food counter really wasn't bad. For me, “Süßsuchtler” is definitely a treat for the palate with a fruity-sweet finish. So far the good news is that for a drink that cost €3 according to the menu, I shelled out €3.80 according to the bill, which is a no-go for me. I mean, I'm not making a "scene" and complaining loudly about 80 Cent, but it's a matter of principle. That smells like “rip-off” and “rip-off”, sorry, not like that!

On a circular hike around Bad Wörishofen on the edge of the forest with a mini golf course. 3 different guest rooms. We had cake and it was delicious. Friendly staff, reasonable prices.

Wonderfully down-to-earth German cuisine. The duck was velvety tender, the red cabbage was homemade, the potato dumplings were buttery. The cake can do something too. And they are friendly too. I'll be back. A visit to the toilet area is particularly recommended for design lovers.

The schnitzel buffet was really, really tasty, always a pleasure. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Just went for coffee. Cake was very good and also a plentiful selection. Service was very friendly. Location is in the middle of the forest. We'll definitely come back. The operator of the mini golf course, which is not part of the restaurant, is very unfriendly. It's a shame for the restaurant.

The quality of the restaurant is okay, but it gets two stars. The furniture has seen better days and looks quite old and weathered. The mini golf course is reasonably well maintained, but the advertising slogan is a joke. Games, fun and relaxation for the whole family! That's what it says on the website. If you are then shouted at at the entrance that your two-year-old daughter should stay seated at the entrance while the adults play, sorry but an absolute no-go! We were here last time and recommend that all families visit this place!

The Mini Golf is great. The Owner is super friendly. We had lots of fun.

Well where should I start? That was nothing friends. It sometimes took a while for a service person to come to the table. -Juices listed on the drinks menu are not available. -one juice spritzer was watered down, the other one had probably forgotten the water and the carbon dioxide also seemed to have gone out of the spritzer. - Waiter was nice but pretty busy - During our visit the neighboring tables were not cleared. We felt pretty uncomfortable. When we saw the tarte flambée for €12, we 100% didn't regret our decision to eat somewhere else. Sorry, maybe again sometime.

We waited 40 minutes for the service to come. We didn't receive a card because, according to the waitress, they don't have one. The waitress wasn't particularly friendly either.

- The "menu" consists of two sheets of paper in a sticky/soily transparent film. We couldn't detect any additives/allergens in it. - The pizza we ordered (€11.90) was fridge cold, probably not warmed up properly because it was frozen. - The fries were soggy. - The floor/radiator in the guest room was partly dirty and there was a dead fly on one of our chairs. - There was a dead frog on the terrace. - In the basement (toilets) it smelled like chlorine or something similar. - Overall, a lot of things there seem unkempt and very unprofessional, we definitely won't be coming back.

Prices like in Munich, food out of a can. It's a shame, constructive criticism is unfortunately not accepted. All in all very dingy, toilets dirty. Visually, they have remained stuck in the 70 years.

The tarte flambée was frozen and therefore couldn't be ordered without onions. You then pay 12 euros for it, which is a disgrace. You wait forever until you are served, get the food or want to pay.

I really recommend the food, I think the prices are a little excessive, but in the end the food is worth the money. The ladies are very friendly. The rooms are attractive.

Nice location but unfortunately that was it. You will quickly be shouted at in a very unfriendly manner if you want to take a photo of a vintage car to the right of the restaurant and park your bike briefly near the garages. The outdoor furniture has seen better days and looks very weathered.

You can eat well here after mini golf.

The food was generally good. You get expired mayonnaise, which I didn't think was cool. The tables, chairs and benches are literally falling apart.

Good food, but unfortunately only a small menu

The house and the furnishings seem a little old. The service is extremely courteous, the host family welcomes you warmly, a family atmosphere in the truest sense of the word. There are always changing tarts and cakes to choose from and the hot dishes are also prepared quickly, confidently and professionally by the chef. Tip: The cheese spaetzle with melted onions are awesome!

Zwiebelrostbraten war nicht Medium sondern durch gebraten (Es wurde sogar gefragt wie es sein soll), trotzdem konnte man den einigermaßen genießen, da Zwiebeln gut waren. Pommes waren deutlich versalzt und vermutlich auch nicht selbstgemacht. Es war der zweite Weihnachtstag, es war viel los. Essen hat über eine Stunde gedauert und wurde über längeren Zeitraum ausgeteilt. Es hat sich auf sämtlichen Tischen das Geschirr gestapelt, es wurde nur teils bis garnicht weg geräumt. Die Bedienung hat erst Mittag gemacht. Gläser waren nicht richtig sauber. Im Vorraum war das Ambiente sehr toll, im Hinterzimmer dagegen sah es nicht einladend aus. Tische standen kreuz und quer. Es gab keine Getränkekarte und eine Beilagenänderung/„umbuchung“ kostet 1€

Bedienung unfreundlich total überfordert Essen kam nach einer Stunde erst bei den letzten wo die anderen schon lange fertig waren auf frage ob man statt Spätzle Pommes haben kann meinte die Bedienung Sie arbeitet ja nicht in der Küche woher soll ich Sie das wissen man hat sich nix mehr bestellen getraut weil gleich die Augen verdreht wurden

War ein Tipp von einem Bekannten."Hier gibt's den besten Zwiebel Rostbraten". Er hat recht Das Essen war super genauso wie der Service. Die Lage etwas weg vom Trubel am Waldrand. Daneben ein Minigolf Platz. Wanderwege, Kinder können spielen,und bei schönen Wetter sind genügend Plätze im freien vorhanden. Da gehen wir gerne wieder hin

(2016) Wir waren früher schon öfters dort, weil es immer lecker war. Nach dem letzten Besuch sind wir aber doch sehr ernüchtert. Die Gerichte vom Mittags-Buffet (9,90€) haben uns gar nicht geschmeckt und die Karte ist ausgesprochen dürftig. War "früher" viel besser... Die Bedienung ist allerdings immer noch sehr freundlich und angenehm aufmerksam. (Sommer 2018) +1* Wir waren am Abend jetzt mal wieder hier. Das Buffet haben wir außen vor gelassen. Die à la carte Gerichte waren gut, sind aber für das Gebotene zu teuer. Kurortpreise? Dem aktuellen Trend folgend, sind auch die Getränke überteuert. Die Bedienung war okay. (Winter 2020) Das Mittagbuffet war diesmal ganz in Ordnung (10,90€). Problematisch ist natürlich immer, dass bei wenigen Gästen alles lange warm gehalten werden muss. Die Getränke empfinde ich als stark überteuert. Bedienung aufmerksam. (2023) Man kann sich des Eindrucks nicht erwehren, dass die Karte immer kleiner wird. Es waren noch 2 Blätter. Ansonsten alles beim Alten.

Ein in die Jahre gekommenes Gasthaus mit viel Potential nach oben. Es ist sauber und sieht innen renoviert aus, Tische und Stühle aber nicht in Gänze. Das Essen war OK. Das Fleisch sehr gut. Wenn die Sauce selbstgemacht wäre, wäre es richtig gut gewesen. Die Bedienungen sind sehr freundlich aber es fehlt die richtige Motivation, zumindestens erweckt es den Eindruck. Wenn man es geschickt anstellt, kann man aus diesem Objekt wieder eine kleine Oase machen! Der Garten lädt zum verweilen ein und auch der Minigolfplatz, gleich neben an, bietet eine schöne Abwechslung.

Schönes Ambiente und gutes Essen, gerade die Pizza mit Thunfisch war sehr gut belegt. Freundlicher Service. Für mich ein No-Go: ein doppelter Espresso wird als zwei Espressi abgerechnet, 6,40 €. Auch der Kuchenpreis für ein schmales Stück Himbeerkuchen ist mit 4,20 € doch recht happig bemessen. Die Karte, die man bekommt, ist leider ohne Getränke und Kaffee und Kuchen. Somit sind diese Preise leider Glückssache.

Wustsalat war als letztes zu bestellen. Alles anderes gab es nicht. Kellner sehr bemüht.

Das Essen ist qualitativ sehr hochwertig und es wird alles frisch zubereitet. Trotzdem muss ich hier Abzüge machen, da von dem "normalen" Schnitzel mit Pommes gerade mal unser 8-jähriges Kind satt geworden ist. Das Personal ist immer zu Stelle, wenn es an etwas fehlen sollte und ist jeder Zeit sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Leider ist hier nur Barzahlung möglich. Das Innere des Restaurants haben wir nicht gesehen, da wir im Garten gesessen waren. Hier ist es sehr gemütlich und der Minigolfplatz nebenan ist hin und wieder zu hören, stört aber nicht weiter.

Just a couple bus stops from town or a 40 min walk through awesome Bavarian landscape (gentle hills, green farmland, interspersed with deep green unadulterated woods). Take a break in this fine cafe. Great food, good service, typical gorgeous countryside. Had the sausages: rost brat wuerste with sauerkraut and country style bread. Fresh, plenty and tasty. Excellent coffee, my new favorite dessert: apple fritter type rings that were simply perfectly executed. Fruity, juicy and with a fresh crunch.

Im Großen und ganzen war es gut. Einziges Manko: Die Beilagen und der Salat kamen erst nach dem eigentlichen Hauptgericht. Das Mobiliar im Biergarten ist schon stark ausgebleicht und in die Jahre gekommen. Ansonsten ist es empfehlenswert.

Liegt etwas außerhalb vom Trubel. Der Biergarten ist der Hammer. Essen ist bürgerlich und sehr gut. Aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienung. Spielplatz ist gleich dabei. Nur zu empfehlen.

Wahnsinns einzigartige Torten und Kuchen. Wie von Oma früher selbst gebacken! Nur in die Ausstattung im Biergarten könnte man mal investieren! Nicht ansehnlich und wirkt eher abschreckend.

Restaurant in schöner Lage am Waldrand. Das Essen ist gut und preiswert. An manchen Tagen wird sogar ein Buffetessen angeboten. Auch die Kuchen sind empfehlenswert.

Etwas altbacken die ganze Gaststätte und der Service schien mir z.T.auch etwas überfordert gewesen zu sein,aber die Torten 🎂 und Kuchen waren sehr schmackhaft.leider war die Auswahl an Eis 🍨 sehr beschränkt (nur Eis mit heißen Himbeeren) Als Ausflugsziel ok-aber keine großen Ansprüche stellen!!!!

Ein wahnsinnig schöner Ausblick auf die Berge. Nettes Lokal mit einer riesigen Auswahl an Kuchen und Essen. Tolle Terrasse natürlich mit Ausblick. Sehr zu empfehlen.

Mussten lange auf das Essen warten Gaststätte war nicht voll u das Essen war naja keine Schweinebraten Soße sondern irgendwas undefinierbares Hirschsoße zu süß würde es nicht weiter empfehlen
