Extremely rude and loud service. I ordered an XXL, received a smaller portion with lots of sauce, and it tasted like nothing! When I asked why, he mumbled Arabic prayers, interjected, and said "UFF!" Then, instead of speaking normally, he shouted the next number into my ear. He addressed me as "brother," asking, "What's your problem?" - very rude and never again.

Very unfriendly staff, the halloumi sandwich tastes like a 6/10: not necessary, better to eat somewhere else a few streets away. Sitting for long isn't possible either, as you don't feel welcome. It's a shame.

Great place to grab a quick bite. We tried the kofte xxl sandwich which was good. The meat was great, and juciy with nice flavour. The sauce wasn't particularly great, I think it was garlic with dill which was too strong (didn't try the spicy sauce). The highlight was the meat really, the rest was ok.

This shop is a must for any köfte lover; in my opinion, it's one of the best köfte shops in Berlin. The atmosphere while eating your köfte is always a spectacle for every Berliner in this area; you won't experience as much in 15 minutes anywhere else.

The small Turkish kofte are particularly special – grilled crispy on the outside, wonderfully juicy on the inside, and perfectly seasoned. You can immediately tell that they're grilled with love and experience. The sauces were also fresh and perfectly seasoned. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was pleasant and authentic. You feel welcome and well looked after. Well, this was my first time there, and I've rarely eaten kofte in Berlin. But I'll definitely be back! Everything tastes just right with kofte in bread! It tastes like Turkish food. A definite recommendation if you're wandering around Kottbusser Tor feeling hungry.

There sandwiches here are amazing and fresh. It seems like they make their own bread in house. All the vegetables are fresh and pre sliced. The area it is located doesn't seem the safest at night. But definitely recommend for the food.

Come here for years Köfte Essen haven't been here for a long time. Has slacked off quite a bit. Staff unfriendly. Tables are dirty, the staff spoke to us and the kitchen paper was handed to us. (Shop wasn't full). Köfte in the bread has also worn off. It's a shame...

In my opinion, this is just an average Turkish köfte place with nothing particularly special about it. The köftes were quite ordinary, to be honest. I could name at least three other restaurants within 300–500 meters that serve much better köfte. Also, the staff’s attitude towards customers was definitely not good. I think they should be more polite. Even though we specifically asked them not to add extra salt to the bread, they still did, and when we mentioned it, they responded in a rude manner. I believe restaurant staff should be polite and understanding. Otherwise, why would anyone want to come back? I wouldn’t say their köfte was terrible, but it definitely wasn’t impressive either. There are much better places in Berlin, even just within Kreuzberg, there are several far better options.

If you want to eat really good köfte, you have to go to Izmir köfte! Juicy, perfectly seasoned and simply delicious. The homemade garlic sauce in particular is a real highlight... creamy, spicy and the perfect complement to the kofta. There is also friendly service and a cozy atmosphere. No wonder this store is considered the No. 1 in Berlin. Absolute recommendation for everyone who loves authentic and delicious kofta!

When I first entered the place, I told the overweight gentleman standing at the cash register that I wanted to buy regular size meatballs. But he asked me, "Can you be more specific? What exactly do you want?" he asked. I stated again that I wanted to buy regular-sized meatballs in bread, as written in the menu. The attitude of the venue staff was cold and indifferent, as if they did not want customers to come. I found these attitudes unbecoming of a tradesman truly surprising. I think the owner of the place needs to get his employees in order immediately. While eating my meal, I observed their approach to other customers and unfortunately noticed that they maintained the same indifferent and rude attitude. I believe that in a city like Berlin, in a place where we find the flavors of our country, employees should be more respectful and hospitable. I hope they learn to serve their delicious meatballs to their customers with the attention and kindness they deserve and understand as soon as possible how to treat people who come to their shops.

An Xberg institution! Home cooking of good quality and at fair prices. The store can get very busy at times. Accordingly, the waiting times are a little longer and the space is a little narrower. It is an okay sandwich. Nothing impressive, it was very dry and does not have that much content inside for the price they are selling it. Not bad but wouldn’t recommend coming back.

We had the kofta in bread and it was okay but not particularly great. Sandwich soft and dry as well as sauce. Salad was just herbs and tomatoes and kofta lacked seasoning. Hospitality was also well… You could try it out but wouldn't eat it again.
