Izmir Kebap in Friedrichshafen

To call the meal food poisoning would be a compliment. When I unwrapped the kebab, the bread was so shiny you'd think it was bathed in oil. When I picked it up, my finger immediately went through the bread and into the meat. The first bite really didn't taste good, and when I pulled the chicken out, it was completely pink inside (was it even grilled all the way through?). I hadn't ordered onions, but there were still some on it. The salad was also completely drenched in oil. Even our omnivorous dog took one sniff and ran away. I hope giving four people food poisoning was worth the €64 you paid :)

I'm from Vorarlberg and recently went to Ferhat Döner in Vienna. Unfortunately, they just don't have that good kebabs in Vorarlberg. So I took a trip to Friedrichshafen and ate at Izmir Kebap. The beef kebab was really tasty, and it was top-notch. Ferhat is number one, but Izmir is absolutely recommended; I'll be back. The meat was good and juicy. Many thanks to the owner; that's just how a kebab should be.

We had a horrible first experience. First off i had to wait when me and my wife went there during lunch time at 13:00. They were busy making dough or something in the back. Secondly the man who made our döner wrap managed to get his hair in the wrap. Not just one hair, we found like 4 strands. To top it off the whole wrap tasted like a salt bomb. All i could taste was salt.

The jumbo-sized doner kebab is great. The lahmacun and chicken doner are great, too. You don't have to go to Turkey. Same quality and quality.

In one word, it's wonderful. The food is delicious and the people are friendly.

Orders are incorrectly prepared, and change is incorrectly counted. It seems as if the shop is run without any passion. There's a lot of room for improvement!

İzmir Kebap, which is halal-certified, served up the most delicious wraps and döner kebabs I've had in Germany and Switzerland. I think they could improve with a little more cleanliness. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a unique döner kebab experience in Türkiye.

My husband, Jakob, was passing through today and ate at Izmir Kebab. And he was very impressed. Firstly, the yogurt garlic sauce with herbs reminded him of his childhood. Secondly, Ayse, the kebab mama's positive and open manner was truly warm and caring. The quality of the meat speaks for itself, and the baked goods are handmade by Ayse. All in all, my husband was more than satisfied.

I travel around Lake Constance quite often for work, and I'm always as happy as a kid when I go to Izmir Kebab because the meat (Yaprak beef) tastes phenomenal. The chicken, vegetables, and homemade bread are also delicious and always fresh. The staff are very friendly and accommodating, even if you have special requests, for example. The best kebab is here, no joke. The boss makes his own kebab skewers, something almost no other kebab shop does. The difference in taste and quality is enormous. 100% pure beef layered in slices, without any minced meat. That's extremely rare and can hardly be found in any other kebab shop. At €8.50, the price is absolutely reasonable for this quality, with homemade bread. The downside is that you can only pay with cash, and the atmosphere is simple and straightforward. But that's not really a big deal... you can also have your kebab delivered to Friedrichshafen via Liferando. They also offer pizza, but I haven't tried it. His specialty is the kebab, and as a kebab eater, I've yet to find better quality meat.
