Very good Greek cousine, super service, really fast and professional, Gree Farmer Salad was perfect for the very hot day we had, beer was good, and Spaghetti were good as well, my child finished them. Thank for the liquor before starting the lunch, very nice old greek tradition!

We had lunch today. We haven't eaten so badly for a long time... the gyros were a disgrace - pure fat, we had to look for the meat. When we told the waiter and waitress about this, they just said hmmm, better next time... Whether there will be a next time - questionable...?!?

Very nice reasonably priced restaurant on the main (only?) square in Freising. Had the Poseidon plate (18.50 Eu) which included 2 well prepared lamb cutlets, a large salad to start, souvlaki, giro meat, and some other unidentifiable stuff. Food was tasty. Service was very good. Since the weather was (finally) nice, it was a pleasant evening to sit outside.

So, quick backstory is as follows: I was born in Munich and moved to a town outside Freising when I was 1. As my mother and father were already in love with greek cuisine they asked around for restaurants and eventually they found Irodion through a family friend and long time customer. Let's start with food, I personally can attest to the quality of the food in Irodion (having eaten there consistently from around 2013 to 2018. I have never had one bad meal, one long delay in food or one experience of food poisoning or low quality of food. The main thing I fell in love with was the Delphi platter, a meal consisting of a mountain of Gyros , 2 large skewers of Souvlaki and a medium size salad all for fair money. The supple taste of the gyros mixed with the grill flavours in the Souvlaki are unbeatable in my opinion. I have also tried many other foods, and can recommend anything that you think looks good (including the seafood!) Next I'll talk Service and Staff. Since going there before 2016 with my family the friendly staff have always been kind and lovely to everyone who entered, were very nice to me every time I asked questions or did kid things and finally always respectful to our wishes. The restaurant is also good for people who wish to eat a little later then the norm (like us). Now in 2016 and around those years my family went through a traumatic path with one of my parents being hospitalised and coming out wheelchair bound. The restaurant staff hadn't seen us for a while but one day me and my other parent went and ate there after a visit. We ordered and ate and loved it as usual, and when we left, the staff and us somehow got talking and we mentioned the previous. They were so understanding and offered to have three or four of their waiters carry my parent down the staircase which is located between outside and inside so he could dine during colder months. This kindness is universal. These people are saints and will always have my admiration and respect. Finally, I'll talk atmosphere. The authenticity and romance of the Restaurant can not be overshadowed. There is a lovely row of tables which I find are perfect for a intimate 1 on 1, and also an array of booths which are comfortable and seat large parties with reservations. The lighting and design in the cellar is amazing, with an inviting open plan and clever partitioning to allow certain spaces their privacy without blocking out parts of the restaurant. I say go here and try it, it could've changed but I doubt that highly! God bless Irodion and the staff!!

Went on Sunday lunchtime, the place was full, we were greeted in a friendly manner and looked after well. I think it's good that we made a reservation. We had 1 child with us and we were very sweet to her. Food was very tasty. I had lamb with vegetables and potatoes buttery good taste with salad. The other dishes were also good.

In a word: TOP Online reservation worked straight away. When we arrived we were thrilled by the atmosphere, it's really cute (even though it's big) and you immediately feel at home. The service was very attentive, always at the table and quick. Super nice, our daughter got a lot of extra ketchup 😅 absolutely child-friendly 🥰 The food - an absolute delight! Both the starters and the main courses (97, 96, Kleftiko, Kindergiros) came quickly, looked appealing and tasted second to none! Seldom eaten as well as here! Mocha and dessert (yoghurt) rounded off the experience perfectly. The prices are reasonable. Unfortunately we live 1.5 hours away - but we will still come back here every chance we get!

We tried cacik, dolma, chicken soup and spagetthi, all were great. The taste is very similar to what we were accustomed to. They use olive oil which is I think great. They serve ouzo in the beginning and dessert at the end. Waiters are very lovely, bathroom is clean, service is fast.

I've tried different things but nothing convinces me. Either it's very dry or it's dripping with fat and sits like a stone in my stomach. Since we order there from work every now and then, I've become comfortable with side dishes.

Everything great. Ambience, service really very good. The food was tasty and beautifully presented. There were 7 of us and we had 6 different dishes. Each of us enjoyed it very much. We would like to come again!

Super schnelle Küche und tolles Essen :)

The food was absolutely amazing (though consider sharing with someone if you don't have a big appetite as the portions are Very generous). We were provided with ouzo to start of the evening and a delightful dessert at the end of the night which were so lovely. The food also came out really quickly so we were able to eat and enjoy without much of a wait! 10/10 would eat here again if I'm ever back in the city.

War heute mit meinem Kameraden drin, beide Vegetarier. Ich wollte den warmen Vorspeisenteller, aber ohne Fisch und Fleisch. Die typischen Gerichte, die jeder Grieche haben sollte gab es hier nicht! Keine Weinblätter mit Reisfüllung, keine Riesenbohnen in Tomatensauce. Stattdessen 1 panierten Käse, ein Käse im Blätterteigmantel, ein Paprika mit Käsefüllung, ein paar Scheiben Auberginen und Zucchini 13€, alles recht trocken. Gleicher Preis wie für Fleisch und Fisch Zusatz. Das ist meiner Meinung nach gelinde gesagt nicht OK! Vegetarier finden hier leider nichts. Die Nachspeise gabs on top. Ein Vanillepudding. Was ist daran griechisch?

Sehr freundliche Mitarbeiter, guter Vorspeisensalat und Dessert. Aber das Gyros mit Metaxa Sauce war wirklich nicht berauschend... Qualität des Gyrosfleisches nicht gut, sehr fettig und wenig Geschmack.

Leckeres Essen auch zum Mitnehmen. Zum bestellten Essen gab es noch zusätzlich eine Flasche Cola und Nachtisch. Immer wieder gerne.

Hab mir eine kalte Vorspeisenplatte bestellt. Alles war recht gut. Aber NUR: Dann probierte ich noch eine lange grüne Schote . Ich bis etwa 1cm ab. Mein Mund brannte plötzlich immer mehr. Meine Augen tränten ohne Stopp. Es war unerträglich scharf , dass mir mein Magen sich drehte und mir brannte der Mund noch 1 h . Sowas scharfes hatte ich noch nie ! Ich finde das sehr fahrlässig von Ihnen sowas ohne Warnung auf den Tisch zu servieren . Ich sagte nichts, da es eine Firmenfeier war und mich nicht in den Mittelpunkt stellen wollte.

Great place for Greek and Mediterranean food

Sehr gutes Griechisches Restaurant im Herzen von Freising mit großer Außenfläche auf dem Marienplatz in den warmen Monaten. Essen ist prima, die Portionen sind gut bemessen. Das Personal ist freundlich und zuvorkommend. Der Abend war sehr schön, gerne wieder.

Top - Service ist super freundliche und schnell, alles geht ratz fatz und das Gyros schmeckte so sie man es vom Griechen gewohnt ist :) alles in bester Ordnung

Spontan am Sonntag Nachmittag aufgrund der guten Bewertungen gekommen. Das Restaurant ist sehr schön im Zentrum der Altstadt am Marienplatz gelegen und bietet viele Sitzplätze draußen. Wir wurden sehr schnell und zuvorkommend bedient - und auch die Getränke und Speisen waren zügig bei uns. Alles frisch, lecker und gute Portionen. Zum Abschluss gab es noch einen Ouzo und ein kleines Dessert. Wir waren rundum zufrieden... griechische Gastfreundschaft pur!

Gutes, preiswertes Essen und haben aufs Haus einen Ouzo und einen kleinen Nachtisch bekommen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Der beste Grieche in FS. Essen immer on Point und Service Astrein

In diesem Restaurant, das ich früher stes geschätzt habe, musste ich mich sehr ärgern. Die weibliche Bedienung war äußerst unfreundlich und trotz leerem Lokal ständig mit anderen Dingen beschäftigt. Selbst wenn klar war, dass der Gast dringend etwas brauchte. Ging sie in aller Seelenruhe zum Nachbarlokal, beschäftigte sich mit ihren dort sitzenden Bekannten, usw... So nett dagegen der Kellner war- insgesamt kein Vergnügen.
