Three of us went out to dinner on a Wednesday evening and were absolutely thrilled. The service was excellent. We didn't have to wait long for the food, and it was delicious. I highly recommend this restaurant. We even got a small dessert on the house.

We actually wanted to go to another restaurant we had already chosen. While walking the dogs, we spontaneously decided to stop at the Irodion because of the sunny outdoor tables and were more than pleasantly surprised. Friendly staff, pets are welcome, a good selection of dishes, and a pleasant atmosphere. Our first appetizer salad in a Greek restaurant was delicious and enjoyable. The main course (grilled plate) was truly delicious and more than sufficient. The ground beef steaks were impeccable; we've rarely had such good suzuki. We also received a delicious little vanilla semolina pudding with strawberry sauce as a complimentary dessert. A nice little end to a good meal. Highly recommended; we'd be happy to come back, especially since the price is more than fair.

We arrived on a summer Thursday evening. All but one of the tables in the beer garden had a "reserved" sign, apparently expecting a large crowd. Ordering was quick, but then it got a bit slow. The drinks we ordered first didn't arrive until after we'd long since finished our appetizers and the side salad that came with them. By then, it was getting crowded, and the staff were visibly stressed. My tentative attempts to get my attention and order another drink were ignored or rejected several times: "Please ask a colleague." When I finally managed to raise my request with the aforementioned colleague, I received an annoyed eye roll, but my order was taken. It wasn't delivered until after the empty main course plates had been cleared away. The food itself is okay, nothing more, but also nothing less. Overall, everything is a bit oily and greasy. The service system is somewhat opaque; some employees are stressed, while others (e.g., the plump young lady, apparently the junior manager) seem to have purely official duties. Some seemingly randomly selected tables had ouzo placed on their tables during the meal, and we didn't even get one with the bill. Speaking of which, during the meal, the young lady in question threw the bill on my table, but it belonged to the neighboring table. Conclusion: I don't like going to restaurants where the employees constantly make me feel like an inconvenience. There are better Greek restaurants with better service, especially in Freising. ;-)

The ambiance was very nice. It's right on Marienplatz. The food was very good, except for the souvlaki. The souvlaki was a bit tough and hard to chew. The gyro, however, was very tasty and highly recommended. The service was also excellent. You get a free ouzo shot and a dessert.

An absolute recommendation! After this review, there's not much more to say: reasonable prices, super delicious food, generous portions, and an incredibly warm family business. Everything is quick, uncomplicated, and served with a smile. We feel welcome every time and have now become regulars. All around perfect – everything just works!

The meat was fine, I never understand why you get a salad as a starter in Germany. The rice with my dish was poor, but it was good last time. The service was good, but semi-friendly. There's no real interest in you. But oh well... we enjoyed it again.

We eat here very often. We enjoy our meals here. The atmosphere is also very pleasant; you have your own seating area, which gives you some privacy. The service staff is also very friendly. All in all, keep up the good work :-)

Best food in Freising, lots of options. Convenient and scenic location. Friendly staff, some are trilingual and speak English, German and Greek.

Food and drinks were prepared very quickly and were delicious.

The team is very friendly and attentive, even when the place is packed. The dishes are delicious and the portions are generous! The ambiance is lovely both inside and out. For me personally, this is the best Greek restaurant in the district and beyond. It would be nice, however, if there was Wi-Fi for guests, especially indoors where there is absolutely no reception. While it's often nice to be unreachable or on your cell phone, it's not so great if, for example, you're no longer reachable by the babysitter or can't even book tickets for the movie afterward without leaving the restaurant.

A very good Greek restaurant in the heart of Freising. The staff was very friendly. There's a large parking lot a 5-minute walk away. The entrance has several steps, so it might be difficult for wheelchair users.

We had Greek food here for Easter. Everything we ordered tasted good. The Easter lamb from the oven melted in your mouth. The grilled meat was well seasoned with sweet, sour and spicy notes, a bitter taste on the outside from grilling and a juicy meaty taste on the inside. The salads were fresh and balanced. The dessert was delicious. Last but not least, the Greek mocha served in the coffee maker was of good quality. Many thanks to the maître for the deliciously prepared dishes! We would also like to thank the fast and professional service! In the central square of Freising it is nice to sit in the shady garden.

It's really nice to sit on Marienplatz. The lunch menu is very good and the portions are really sufficient. Great fries. When it comes to the gyro, I notice that it is very fatty. 1 point deducted because there is no system as to who gets what or not, e.g. at the lunch menu. Sometimes you get dessert, sometimes you don't. Sometimes you get ouzo, sometimes you don't! Sorry, but that's annoying!!! Unfortunately, half of the staff don't speak German, which can unfortunately lead to misunderstandings 😬. Still happy again

I was at the Irodion in Freising and drank a Weizen there. After a short time I noticed that this restaurant was something special. The waitress was incredibly friendly, chatted with me for a few minutes and left a really great impression. You immediately feel the warm atmosphere of a family-run company. Even though I was only there for a short time, I felt very comfortable - that's exactly what makes a good host. I'll definitely come back to try the food! Clear recommendation for anyone who wants to experience Greek hospitality!🌞

The food reminded me a lot of bad cafeteria food. The fish platter, fried fish only tasted like old frying fat. The salad with yogurt dressing and partly brown pepperoni. Absolutely negative value for money. I was there many years ago and the food tasted much better. Service was friendly, food arrived after 10 minutes, better give it more time And cooking better for it At least the beer was good.

We were shocked by how rude and blatantly racist they were. When we asked what the drink called ‘ouzo’ was and mentioned, ‘Is it like rakı?’, their attitude instantly changed. They started glaring at us harshly while we were eating, making the whole experience incredibly uncomfortable and distressing. We felt deeply unwelcome and hurt we will never go to this place

You can eat very well here. We came here spontaneously, got a table straight away and the drinks came really quickly, despite the restaurant being very full. The food was super tasty and the portion was decent. It was exactly the same on the second visit. Simple 👍

Good and relatively inexpensive food in the middle of Freising's beautiful old town. In summer you can sit outside on Marienplatz. The portions are large and of course there is also ouzo. Sometimes you have to wait a little long for the food, but everyone tries very hard. When you order takeaway, you always get a small salad and a small dessert - that's really outstanding.

Location TOP, service flop SERVICE I was here with my wife and children for dinner at Irodion on Saturday after shopping. When we arrived we were informed that the restaurant had to close on time (Saturday at 3 p.m.) because you wanted lunch. They did this mercilessly and sent everyone away after us. EAT Admittedly it was quick, but due to the displeasure the order wasn't complete so my children's fantasy was missing. The calamari barely came out of the deep fryer in a manageable quantity and the tzatziki was, to be honest, a mayo mess. The salad consisted only of iceberg lettuce and was barely dressed. Where has the good Greek olive oil been here? I think quality still has a lot of potential to improve here and a look at the restaurants around the corner can't hurt. In my opinion a typical 10€ Greek with little pretensions. SUMMARY If you want to have a cheap standard Greek meal quickly, OK, but please arrive on time during opening hours and pay on time.

Wonderful Greek restaurant in the 💞 of Freising. A few steps lead into a pleasant restaurant with subtle decoration and perfect lighting. Brought to the table by the very friendly service, you have the feeling that the drinks have already been waiting. After ordering the food, everything goes very quickly and the most delicious Greek specialties are on the table. Ouzo and mezze cold as a starter is highly recommended. The menu doesn't necessarily have the typical dishes either. Reordering is no problem at all. Price/performance absolutely justified. We were there with 6 people and had a wonderful evening. We will definitely come back.

We like to eat Greek food and that's why we chose this restaurant. Everything really tasted great and we found that we had by far the best food here. Everyone was courteous and served us very well. We can only recommend it.

Sitting outside on the square, on a beautiful afternoon. We enjoyed a beer and (I ordered ) beef goulash soup and (John ordered) bread with mozzarella. Food was delicious. Wait staff was quite professional and friendly. Come visit, sit outside and enjoy.

Greek restaurant on the most beautiful square in Freising, Marienplatz. So it was a great location and we also had bright sunshine. We immediately noticed that there were hardly any seats left on the terrace at lunchtime and took this as a recommendation. We weren't fully seated when we were served an ouzo. The lunch menu was promising with reasonable prices: main course with salad for around 10 euros. The grill plate was terrific, but the lamb chops were amazing. I haven't eaten something this good since my last vacation in Greece. Very nice, fast and attentive service! Also important: toilets in excellent condition. So we had done everything right. ;-) Note: Several bratwurst stands: choose the one with the longest line. Several restaurants with outdoor dining: choose the one with the fullest terrace.

We were there on Sunday evening and got a nice seat straight away without a reservation, as well as the food, which arrived very quickly. there is ouzo and vanilla pudding at the end ;)

For 10-12€ you can get a good portion of lunch. The main dishes are fresh and perfectly cooked. A shot of spirits, salads, and bread are also served before the meal. At the end there is a free dessert. This restaurant gives us more than my expectation.

Ordered for pickup! Fries were in the fat for a maximum of 30 seconds. That wasn't gyros, that was kebab meat! The pork was overlaid, sorry a cook smells the sourness immediately! The rice just wasn't good! I remembered this place under other names and also very well, but this was 45 euros for the rubbish sounds!

I came to this restaurant for the first time based on a recommendation...a huge disappointment across the board! Short and sweet: food sneaks salad too much oil, five different people serving, during the meal an estimated 20 shiny houseflies, always trying to shoo them away....only annoying when you're sitting outside.....calamaris grilled absolutely disgusting, strange aftertaste.. ..it would have been better to go out for ice cream....this place isn't even recommended...if I could, one star 🌟 would have been too much...no thanks, never again!

Top location in Freising, nice staff with ouzo as a welcome, delicious food (the meat was great) with a large portion size, good value for money. Unfortunately my wife's mushroom sauce wasn't very tasty, but that was the only thing.

It's been a long time since I had lunch at Irodion... well. You have to order a portion of tzatziki separately with the dishes. Does anyone understand the logic?! The food came quickly and was rather carelessly prepared. My bifteki was too dark on the outside and too raw on the inside. Add a small dollop of tomato rice. Ambiance outside is rather uncomfortable. Service was friendly and attentive.

I would like to recommend this restaurant because it offers very good food and friendly service. We ordered a dish for 2 people and it was very filling and good. You have plenty of space inside

I actually paid €5.90 for a 0.5l water bottle and another €9.90 for a very, very small, breaded saganaki, which lay awkwardly on a minimal bed of rocket garnished with a slice of lemon. White bread was also served. The food was tasteless and I was extremely annoyed by the exorbitant price of the water bottle. But I was thirsty.
