IPIROS in Offenbach am Main

You can enjoy food and cold appetizers accompanied by live music every weekend. Ms. Aysun, the artist, has a very wide repertoire. We were very pleased with it. The prices of raki are very affordable and the prices around Frankfurt and Offenbach are cheaper than other taverns.

Best souvlaki, bifteki and gyros pitta we have eaten. Fresh and tastes very tasty. Gladly again.

The food is good but overpriced and then they charged for bread that wasn't ordered! No wonder the place is almost empty on a Saturday evening with live music.

As already written, we also wanted to go to the old Turkish shop “Fish & Steak”, where we had great experiences, especially with the varied and very tasty starters. But he no longer exists; he has now become Greek. Ok, we thought, the Greek restaurant also serves delicious things. First, we were very cold, the front door was open the whole time. The tables are already completely set. My plate and the plate from the next table were dirty, and it was only when I spoke to them that the plate was exchanged. There were some crumbs on the tables (clearly visible) that were not removed at all... Then the menu came, when we saw the dishes we actually wanted to get up and leave, but since we didn't have time to get a new one To look for a location, we stayed and said, come on, let's try it now. Well, unfortunately I immediately regretted it. The salad was totally tasteless, the tomatoes in it were cut too big and completely bland, the calamari was FULL of oil from the deep fryer, the breading was strange, totally light and tasted like I had no idea what, fat and rubber. The pieces of top gin, which were also fried, were also full of fat. It really wasn't tasty, we have completely different experiences in Greek restaurants. The "soul" of the former restaurant is gone, sorry. But we won't come back here.

Atmosphere was a bit chilly. The starter we requested wasn't there. Pita bread came with garlic oil, although we ordered one with and one without. Reordered once and paid three pita in no time. Octopus Stifato was delicious. Grilled calamari was good, side dishes a bit lacking. All in all, price/performance goes like this.

The fish dishes are really great! I had the fried calamari rings with fries (both homemade) and loved it! My family's other fish dishes were also absolutely delicious. The atmosphere is very nice and cozy and the service was very friendly. I will definitely come back!

The food was very different, the zucchini balls were great, the tzatziki was pretty bad. I had a grill plate, except for the bifteki, every type of meat was completely dry and inedible. The fries were soggy. The staff tried hard, but not warmly. In this context, I had to think a bit about the Greek arrogance in the gastronomy of past decades. What was left of the good old Turk was “Nico's Fish Pan”, which was still quite good. I won't go there anymore.
