The staff was fantastic! Always up for a laugh and so refreshing! The food was absolutely delicious, especially the ćevapčići. Juicy and perfectly seasoned. I've never eaten such good food. The restaurant was very busy that evening, so we had to expect a long wait. But we were rewarded with a superb meal. We were all very satisfied. We'll definitely be back and will recommend you to others.

Due to the heavy advertising, we ventured to visit Inspector Cevap. Finding a parking spot was difficult. The restaurant is a bit dated but clean. It took a while before we were served at our table by the very friendly waiter. After choosing and ordering, we unfortunately had to wait almost an hour for our food. Visually, it was very appealing. Being very hungry, everyone found something to eat on the platter. However, the disappointment was considerable. Some of the meat was lukewarm and dry. The cevapcici were a bit odd and, like the liver, had a sour taste. The Juvec rice was bland. When the bill turned out to be quite expensive, we left disappointed. After the exaggerated online advertising, we had expected better service, quality, and freshness. As it was, it was only average fast-food quality.

The cevapcici are tiny and not moist at all. The bread is soaked in grease and falls apart when you eat it. I won't be eating here again. I ordered twice for takeout.

There were about 10 of us, and we ordered various dishes, mainly cevapi. The majority were very disappointed with the taste. The cevapi looked like cat poop and some had shriveled up because they had been grilled for too long. The pjeskavica was dry and had hardly any filling. What annoyed us most was the lack of ajvar and onions. These were added to the cevapi in tiny, finger-thick bowls, regardless of the quantity. Ketchup and mayo cost extra, which is absolutely unacceptable—€1.50 for a dab of mayo on the fries! I've never experienced anything like this before. In every normal restaurant, mayo and ketchup are free. The wait for the food was about an hour, and ordering drinks took 15 minutes. While you advertise well on Facebook, which attracts customers, the food itself is of poor quality. Therefore, I prefer to go to a Bosnian restaurant where cevapi are prepared with care. And that actually tastes good.

Today I went to Inspector Ćevap for the first time with my wife. We were very impressed with everything. The food is excellent, the atmosphere is excellent, and the staff is excellent. 100 stars!

We were there for dinner last night. To be perfectly honest, we had to wait over 1.5 hours with two small children, which is unacceptable. Then the food arrived. The cevapcici were raw and cold. The rice was inedible, so we sent it back. The worst part was that the rice wasn't even deducted from the bill; it was simply charged separately. The only positive things that evening were the ajvar and the onion. I'm sorry to say I can't recommend it; it was a complete disappointment.

We had a reservation for three people. Upon arrival, we were ignored for over 10 minutes until a waiter finally seated us. (There were several tables available.) It took over 15 minutes before we could place our order. We ordered three sets of seven ćevapi in flatbread. The drinks arrived fairly quickly. Then came a very long wait for the food—over 60 minutes for 21 ćevapi, and there weren't many people there. The food itself was average. The ćevapi were well-grilled, but the flatbread was far too dry. It came with a dollop of ajvar that disappeared after three ćevapi. All in all, though, it was edible and acceptable. I found the ambiance (which is a matter of taste) not very authentic. The American Christmas music playing throughout our two-hour stay didn't exactly make us feel at home. The waitstaff are very friendly, but they are few and far between. The waitstaff are very friendly, but they are hard to find. . . ' ... Conclusion: This restaurant simply doesn't live up to the media hype. In my opinion, it operates at a solid fast-food level, but it can't even begin to handle a normal, let alone large, number of customers. If you're looking for a great Instagram story with a mixed grill and fireworks, this is the place for you. But for those seeking an authentic evening of food and atmosphere, the rather steep prices leave you wanting more.

Unfortunately, our restaurant visit today was a huge disappointment. The cevapcici were raw and undercooked, and the kebabs weren't cooked through either. The fries were completely oversalted and inedible. The liver tasted sour, which was very unpleasant, and the djuvec rice was served cold. The wait of over 1.5 hours for our food was particularly frustrating. What's more, guests who arrived after us received their food much sooner. The service seemed completely overwhelmed and was also unfriendly, which unfortunately only made the negative impression worse. Overall, a very negative experience – we will not be returning to this restaurant.

The restaurant is decorated in a style that's both old and modern, without a clear theme. Personally, though this is a matter of taste, I found the cevapcici a bit too firm. Some people prefer them that way, but I like them softer. I also felt there wasn't enough ajvar and the kaymak was too thick. The tomato salad wasn't to our liking. It lacked proper seasoning and oil, just a few onions on top of the sliced ​​tomatoes. There was nothing at our table to add seasoning. The country potatoes, however, were very tasty. It was quite busy that evening, so we had to wait a bit longer for our orders and the bill.

The service was adequate; the staff were polite and generally attentive. The food was okay, but nothing particularly memorable. Overall, I felt the price-performance ratio wasn't right, as the quality didn't match the prices. All in all, it was an average experience that didn't completely win me over.

We went there on a recommendation, waited 10 minutes before a server came and we could order. After 45 minutes, we received our food, which wasn't exactly what we expected. The salad wasn't even dressed with vinegar and oil or any other dressing. If you're hungry, you might want to ask if they offer an XL portion. Taste-wise, there are 101% better Balkan restaurants. I certainly won't be recommending it. The ambiance is in an 80s country house style; it looks like a village pub.

I'm sorry, but we won't be coming back. The fries were cold, and the cevapi were still raw inside! It was incredibly cold in the restaurant, so cold that we didn't even want to take our jackets off. And the atmosphere? Well, it was all still the same as the previous owner's.

Delicious food 🤤 and super attentive service!!!

Since everyone is raving about it, I unfortunately have to disagree and share my opinion. We visited the restaurant on November 14th with a reservation. It was busy but not full. When we went to order, we were told that they weren't allowed to serve alcohol because they couldn't produce a liquor license the night before… very dubious for such a great restaurant! We ordered a platter for five people and one ćevapi. After about 45 minutes, the food finally arrived! All the other tables, including those that arrived after us, were already being served. The ćevapi were really good, but the rest of the platter, which was the reason we came, was cold, and the quality of the meat was really poor. The pork was fatty and sinewy, and the liver was sour. The Đjuveć rice was okay. The service was friendly, but unfortunately, we didn't even receive the water we ordered. ... Conclusion: We won't be coming back because, unfortunately, the overall package – service, ambiance, and especially the food – was really not good on that particular day.

Delicious food in a pleasant atmosphere. Parking was a bit tricky on Sundays, but we eventually found spaces near the train station. After being shown to our table, we had to wait a little while because it was quite busy. The service was friendly, cheerful, and humorous. We ordered the vegetarian platter for two, which was absolutely delicious. We were completely satisfied. The grilled peppers, salads, and chicken soup were also very tasty. They also offer cocktails, which we were delighted to find. The cevapi and pljeskavice were very well prepared. All in all, a lovely restaurant with typical Balkan specialties, highly recommended, especially for families. The music was a bit too loud at first, making conversation difficult, but it was turned down relatively quickly.

Unfortunately, we also fell for the many excellent reviews and were lured into visiting "Inspector Cevap." We were more than disappointed: subpar cevapcici served carelessly in cold flatbread, absolutely bland-tasting djuvec rice, and a sopska salad swimming in a watery vinegar mixture. To make matters worse, we received our food after everyone else, even though we had been seated at the table and ordered earlier. Instead of seven cevapcici, there were only six in the flatbread, and instead of the requested pork skewer, we were served poultry. There's nothing positive to report, and for us, this was definitely our first and last visit. Absolutely not recommended, what a shame.

The food is delicious. Unfortunately, there are long wait times for drinks, and the waiters aren't attentive. Dessert – ice cream – takes 15 minutes. I understand that a kitchen can produce a certain amount, but the service staff could definitely be increased. The two friendly servers are running around like crazy and can barely keep up. It's a shame that the website lists alcohol on the menu, but it's covered up when you're there. No information was provided when I asked. Since the owner is very transparent on social media, I assume there were issues with the alcohol control. I wish this would be communicated; this delicious meal without a beer or wine, and a Snap at the end, is simply different.

If you're in Kornwestheim and your stomach is screaming, "Bro, give me some Balkan food!" then you absolutely have to go here. Period. I walked in, and the first glimpse of the grill made me feel like I'd been teleported straight to Sarajevo. The grill master was sizzling away like he was cooking for a whole Balkan wedding—respect! The ćevapčići were so perfect I briefly considered applying for their own ID cards. The lepinja was so tender I almost adopted it as a pet. And the ajvar? Dude… that wasn't just a side dish, that was an emotion. The waiter was also a highlight: friendly, funny, and with that typical Balkan charm. He seriously told me, "If you're still hungry after this plate, I'll personally invite you to a barbecue at my place." Bro, I was stuffed until Tuesday. In short: Kornwestheim has suddenly become a little piece of the Balkans. Anyone who doesn't eat here has lost control of their life. I'll be back, and not just for the food, but for the Balkan vibes that instantly lift my spirits.

The food took a very long time to arrive and wasn't hot, only lukewarm. It wasn't good and was very greasy. The meat was of poor quality.

Okay, I have to get this off my chest. First off, the food really tastes good. The cevapcici were fantastic, the food in general was really good. It was packed and we had to wait about an hour, which wasn't a problem. When it's that busy, that's just how it is. You always say you should reserve tables, otherwise you might be out of luck and have to leave because it's fully booked. That's fine too. But how is it possible that I came specifically to eat on September 23rd, looked at the sign in the back room, and reserved a table for November 15th, and then when I arrived on November 15th, nobody knew anything about it? How is that even possible? A woman took our table reservation on September 23rd, wrote down the name or typed it into her phone, and I spelled the name for her and even told her we were celebrating a 50th birthday. We arrived for dinner and nothing was reserved, nothing was prepared. That's unacceptable. That's a huge disappointment for me. When I make a reservation, especially for a milestone birthday, it would have been nice if you had set the table nicely. You wouldn't have received a tip from me. Furthermore (for context, I hardly ever drink alcohol), there was no alcohol (which isn't a problem for me), but there are people who simply like to have a glass of wine or a beer with their meal. That wasn't available either. As I said, it wasn't a problem for me. Apparently, they've been serving alcohol for a week or two. This should be posted at the entrance so that people who like to have a drink with their meal know. This is unacceptable. Not informing people is wrong. And if the reservation had gone through, I would have expected you to inform us that there would be no alcohol that evening. And I won't even begin to talk about the mess that was made when the food was brought out. We wanted to have a nice evening. I'm very disappointed and won't be coming back, because something like this shouldn't happen. And that's despite the fact that I've been there a few times before and I enjoy the food. I won't be following you again.

We were there this evening, a group of four plus a small child. The restaurant has a certain ambiance, but it's a bit noisy inside. You can still have a conversation, though. The waiters greeted us warmly and showed us to our table. We had made a reservation by phone beforehand. However, we then waited about 70 minutes for our food. Other guests arrived after us, ordered food, and actually received their meals before us. I was a bit confused at first. When we asked when the food would arrive, we were given a brief reassurance. When the food finally arrived, we were truly astonished. Serving half-cooked cevapi (some red inside, not pink, but red) to a small child was unacceptable. We left the food as it was, paid quickly, and pointed this out to the friendly waiters. When they saw the raw cevapi on the plates, they seemed quite uncomfortable as well. They then gave us a 20% discount when we paid.

Unfortunately, we hadn't made a reservation beforehand, and it was around 3:00 PM, the worst possible time for the host... But this wasn't a problem at all. After a short wait, we got a table for our group of six. "SUPER PUNO HVALA!" The service was excellent, and they were always there to check if we needed anything or if we needed anything else. Thumbs up! Thank you! The food was good; I had no complaints. The portions were generous and filling, and the prices were very reasonable. But this wasn't a problem at all. The ambiance is simple, a little rustic, but I find that charming and it reminded me of our family's old Croatian restaurant... Even though the server seemed a bit confused that two of us devoured a four-person platter (haha), it just goes to show how good the food was – so delicious that we ate every last bite. "Nisam jeo 2 dana da se isplati doc" 🤣 Drinks – from my homeland: Karlovaco, Jelen, Jana, and CUM -> "A jel ima Stock Cola? Saboravio sam Pirtati 🤣" But I'll gladly come back and eat here again... it's a shame Martin wasn't there; I would have loved to meet him in person...

I like that it's typically Balkan/Croatian. You're immediately welcomed warmly and like family. The menu isn't too extensive, making it perfect for choosing. I tried cevapi in kajvar and it was delicious. It came with fresh, warm bread, and of course, the cocktail was a must. 😊 Great service, fantastic restaurant, I'll definitely be back.

I went out for dinner with my wife today. We both had Ćevapćići. They could have stayed on the grill a little longer; the flatbread wasn't on the grill, so it wasn't crispy. Otherwise, it was okay.

This place is truly beautiful, the atmosphere is fantastic, the music is great, and the food is breathtaking. All in all, I'll definitely come back. Highly recommended for people who enjoy meat platters, especially for larger groups (they serve platters for 2-12 people). Anyone who fancies Korean food should come!

We came here because of Instagram. The cevapi and the bread were fantastic. But unfortunately, that's almost where the positives end. The service was generally friendly and very nice, but everything took far too long. The djucev rice was bland, simply under-seasoned, and the coleslaw was just fresh white cabbage without any dressing. So, there's a lot of room for improvement. We'll try it again; perhaps we just caught the kitchen and service staff on a bad day.

We had a reservation and ate there on Sunday, November 2nd, 2025, at 5:30 pm. After taking our drink order, we were informed that the grill was being cleaned and that it would take at least 40 minutes for the food to arrive. With two hungry children, this wasn't ideal. After about 40 minutes, the food finally arrived, but it was delivered to the next table. Since they had already started eating there, we had to wait again for the children's portion, as it was being prepared anew. The cevapi had a strange, unfamiliar texture, tasted bland, and some were undercooked. The Sopska Salata was excellent. A second drink we ordered was delivered to yet another table. When the drink finally arrived at our table, the glass was missing. Unfortunately, the waitress left so quickly that we couldn't tell her. We won't be coming back and had much higher expectations. The waiter at reception was very child-friendly.

Good day, We were at Ins. Č̣evap on Saturday, November 1st, 2025, with a group of 7! First of all, I don't want to say anything bad, but we should be honest with each other. The goal is for guests to feel comfortable, eat well, and be served politely and kindly. Describing everything in detail would be too much. So I'll keep it brief. The food was cold, the lepinja was wet and not juicy, the liver was too thick and undercooked, the Đuveć rice tasted musty and stale (from the wood). The fries were okay, the cheese had an intense taste (and an unpleasant smell). The rażnići were not good! The food was cold. The Ŝopska salata was nothing like the pictures (prepared without care). The palčinke were black (they should have been golden brown), and the scoop of ice cream was an extra €2.50 (miniature). No hard feelings, but we won't be making the trip again. I was at the restaurant on Saturday, October 31st, with family and friends (9 people) and was very disappointed. We ordered two platters (one with pork, one with chicken) as well as several individual plates. One platter was served incorrectly. Although two chicken skewers were wrong, only one was taken back – it would have been more sensible to take both or, as a kind gesture, simply leave them on the table for someone else to eat, instead of taking them to the kitchen. In addition, several cevapcici on different plates were undercooked, some even raw. The pieces we complained about were simply collected, later brought back on a plate, and placed on the table without any comment. The staff did apologize, but their handling of the complaints was anything but professional. It's a shame – we were really looking forward to a nice evening, but were disappointed.

We waited over an hour for our food. Even though we ordered two appetizers, it took that long. We'd barely started on the appetizers when the main course arrived. The timing wasn't great. The main course arrived lukewarm, almost cold. The djuvec tasted bland, and the cevapcici were nothing like real cevapcici. Some were still raw. Taste-wise, zero points. I don't know how else to describe it... If you've ever eaten at Ferhatovic in Sarajevo, you can forget about this one. Sorry, but the overall quality of the food is a 1 out of 10.

We must have caught them on a bad day. Today we waited 95 minutes for our food. It was lukewarm, and some of it (the rice) was cold. The turkey was undercooked. The waiter sprayed disinfectant on the next table to clean it. The disinfectant made my eyes water. I don't even want to mention the smell of the food. When they were clearing the table (the restaurant was almost empty by then), I had ordered a drink. They forgot it. Fifteen minutes later, when I went to pay, I asked them not to charge me for the drink, but it never arrived. What a shame, we were lured in by the advertising and were really looking forward to it.

It's simply gotten much worse than it used to be! 😡 No more delivery service, prices are constantly rising, and the food is getting worse and worse. The portions are smaller, the quality is declining dramatically. And the prices on the website have absolutely nothing to do with the real prices – you only notice this when you call after ordering. The schnitzel from the kids' menu was incredibly dry and hard as a shoe sole – absolutely inedible! 🤢 Four cevapi and one pljeskavica were missing from the grill plate – what did I pay for?! Never again! And I really can't recommend it to anyone. 👎

We've always enjoyed picking up takeout from the takeaway location, and today was our first time eating there. The quality is excellent and the staff friendly. When the restaurant isn't full (5:30 p.m.), orders come super quickly. When it's busy, you just have to be patient. The decor is partly from the previous tenant, but it has its charm. :) The value for money is good. The portions are definitely filling. We'll be happy to come back.

The appetizers and main course were also delicious. The rice was unfortunately not seasoned, or only slightly so. It definitely lacked salt. The drinks menu listed Pipi as 0.33, but we got 0.25. The fries were out, or rather, they said that only children could get the ones they had left. My 14-year-old son didn't get any and was told to choose a different side dish. We mentioned it right away, and the waiter said he'd pass it on as is. It wasn't a big deal, but at least they could have given my son a second bottle of Pippi. As a nice gesture... Otherwise, I'd gladly go back.😊

Three out of five plates were served with lukewarm cevapi. Some of the cevapi were raw inside, and the skewer and chicken tasted burnt. The sopska was good. The kajmak was really good. A 45-minute wait for the food. Parking is a bit difficult, but it's nearby.

We received the wrong items twice in our order. The food was okay except for the salad, which had wilted leaves. We got a different one, but it was still on the bill. We'll eat somewhere else next time.

Inspektor Ćevap is an absolute insider tip for anyone who loves authentic Balkan cuisine! The food is not only very good, but consistently fresh, hearty, and prepared with love – the Ćevapčići are especially delicious. The side dishes and salads are also impressive across the board. I would especially like to highlight the exceptionally friendly service – attentive, warm, and always in a good mood. You feel welcome from the very first minute. The ambience is pleasant and cozy, with a touch of Balkan charm that makes the stay even more enjoyable. We will definitely be back – an absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food and hospitality!

Unfortunately, I'm disappointed with the vegetarian pljeskavica. In my opinion, it has little to no commonality with pljeskavica. Please, change it quickly 🤗

A small restaurant with a small menu, I really like it because they usually focus on perfect preparation. Make sure to reserve in advance, and the platter for several people is amazing and tastes incredibly delicious 😋

We traveled all the way from Augsburg – and it was absolutely worth it! The staff is incredibly friendly, attentive, and also wonderfully humorous. You feel welcome and in good hands from the very first moment. The food was simply outstanding – fresh & delicious. The portions are truly generous, so you'll definitely go home full and happy. An all-around fantastic experience that we'd happily recommend! We'll definitely be back 😄

We went to the Inspektor with about 15 colleagues. The service was super friendly, and the wait times were relatively short. The food was really good, and the portions were just right. I can highly recommend the Inspektor if anyone is in the mood for Balkan cuisine.

The food was generally good. Unfortunately, the service was lacking. The sauce I ordered additionally never arrived, but it was listed on the bill. The drink quantity doesn't match the soda that was delivered. 0.33 for €3.80, but I got 0.25 for €3.80, which is incorrect and fine. It was normally full, but extremely loud. This will be a one-time visit for me.
