Very long waiting time, well over 1 hour Salads were missing. The children's schnitzel we ordered didn't come. Ordered rump steak medium, but it came as a shoe sole Service didn't come and asked if everything was OK. At the end there was another round of drinks.

I've been going here for years, today I had venison goullasch with spetzle, the goullash was a bit too fatty but otherwise very good.

Staff friendly overall. Food is served with too much salt. We paid €74 for cheese spaetzle, tagliatelle with salmon and a pizza with 5 drinks (non-alcoholic wheat beer, 2 apple spritzers, 2 coffees), so it's between medium and high price range. The ambience was good. Note: The door to the toilets should remain closed. Unfortunately there was a strong smell of drains in the entrance area. Children's chair available. Changing table available in the disabled toilet.

Wir waren mit einer Gruppe von 16 Personen im Restaurant, hat einen abgegrenzten Raum, der Service hat uns trotzdem nicht vergessen, obwohl das Restaurant gut besucht war, bekamen wir alle gleichzeitig nach akzaptabler Zeit und unser Essen. Die Portionen sind ausgesprochen groß, das Essen bodenständig und die Preise passen für dieses Angebot. Die Bewertungen hier sind zum Teil sehr kritisch, das können wir für unseren Abend nicht bestätigen.

Had lunch with my wife today. Ordered pepperoni with garlic sauce in advance and sauerbraten and schnitzel. From a cooking perspective it wasn't bad, but it could be improved. Salads were very sour, but completely fresh, garlic sauce for the peppers was unfortunately a bag and hardly any garlic. Schnitzel needed a bit more, fries were baked well. But we'll be back. The 2 waitresses were great.

Went there with our department for dinner together. What I kept positive was the location, which is really nice for Ludwigshafen standards. We were also able to sit comfortably, there was enough space. However, we were annoyed by the service. It was certainly noticeable that waiting tables can be a strenuous job in the truest sense of the word. Service was extremely slow and seemed overwhelmed. The food tasted suspiciously like a bag and was extremely salty. I wouldn't go there anymore.

We were also in this restaurant this week. Drinks came very very late. Food was ok. The lights kept going on and off. A restless evening for us. We hadn't seen each other for a long time and were looking forward to a nice evening. We were there a few years ago and really enjoyed it, but the last visit was difficult. Nevertheless, good luck.

Für Sonntag-Mittag hatten wir einen Tisch reservieren lassen. Ich kam früher als der Rest der Familie. Als ich an der Theke nach dem Tisch fragte, bat mich eine Kellnerin mitzukommen, ließ mich dann aber, ohne etwas zu sagen, stehen und nahm an einem großen Tisch die Getränke auf. Nach einer Weile ging ich zurück zur Theke und fragte erneut nach dem Tisch. Die Frau meinte unfreundlich zu mir, ich solle warten. Ich habe dann um Erlaubnis gefragt, mich auf eine Bank im Eingangsbereich zu setzen. Noch zwei Mal habe ich nach dem Tisch gefragt, ohne dass etwas passiert ist. Nach zehn Minuten kam der Rest der Familie. Mein Mann hat nach dem Tisch gefragt. Darauf hin sind wir sofort zum Tisch geführt worden. Nach den Bestellungen fragte die Kellnerin, die gleiche, die mich stehen gelassen hat, überfreundlich. Das Essen, ich hatte Pfälzer Sauerbraten, war nicht richtig heiß und ein bisschen zäh. Der Salat, der dazu gehörte, kam erst auf Nachfrage Das war kein schöner Restaurant-Besuch.

A table was reserved. I arrived a little earlier than the rest of the family and asked for the table. A waitress asked me to follow her, then left me standing without saying anything and picked up the drinks at a large table. After a while I went back to the counter and asked for the table again. I was told very rudely that I should be patient. After a while I asked if I could sit on a bench in the entrance area. Without answer. I asked several times about the table and received unfriendly answers. When the rest of the family arrived five minutes later, my husband asked about the table. We were immediately shown to the table by the same woman who had left me standing. The order was then taken quickly, which was now overly friendly for my taste. The food, I had Pfälzer Sauerbraten, didn't come out really hot and was a bit tough. The salad that came with it only came upon request. Not a nice restaurant visit

We had dinner at the Inselbastei today and had a really nice evening. The food was excellent and the service was courteous and very attentive. I can only recommend this wonderful restaurant. The beautiful terrace also invites you to linger, especially in summer

The food was satisfactory and there was a nice atmosphere on the Rhine. 5 stars for the service of the nice and young gentleman with the glasses.

We had our Christmas party there with colleagues. The ambience is really nice. Not everyone was happy with the meal. Something got messed up in the kitchen. Various wines were out of stock and we were still charged for them. We only noticed that later. I believe that if you treat everything a little more attentively, the guest will be satisfied.

Were there on Friday for the company Christmas party. It looked great when you just came through the entrance. Everything is so beautifully decorated for Christmas. We were about 19 people. And the food was there for all of us almost at the same time. We all enjoyed it very much too. Also great for the eye. The service was quick and cheerful, and always responded to our wishes. Thank you for the lovely evening.

Today we spontaneously went to eat on the island of Bastei. The tomahawk steak was a dream. The restaurant was lovingly decorated for Christmas and the service ladies were super friendly. All in all a successful evening

Salad was ice cold and not very seasoned. The tomatoes in it are older. The schnitzel consisted of 2 large thin slices whose taste was somehow sour.

The atmosphere was very pleasant, the food was also very tasty. (I had a pistachio tiramisu). Service is also top.

I have to say a few words about this restaurant because I'm very angry. I won't even bother to make a big announcement after all the impudence and the whole disaster. What I can say is that everything is going haywire. You will be treated in this restaurant like air and the worst thing is you have to show understanding for the things that are messing everyone up there and accept everything and you can pay a lot of money for it as I said a few key points at the end very dirty food very very bad you had to wait several hours until something was done, be it waiting at dinner or to pay, you were always allowed to get your own cutlery, there was a tense atmosphere among each other, sorry for feeling good Atmosphere is rude at the wrong address, you had to beg for your side salad and the fun costs a lot of money. Conclusion: I have never experienced anything like this again

The restaurant is located directly on the Rhine. Food was very good. Can be recommended. In summer you can sit on the terrace. Very nice Were there again today. The time from ordering until the food was on the table was very, very long.

We reserved a table for a larger group over 2 months ago. Already when making the reservation, we said that we wanted to sit outside. This was promised to us. On the day of our reservation we were seated indoors despite the great weather. We had to ask several times to sit outside, which worked, then we waited a long time for the food and the service from the waiters was very unfriendly. A waiter was courteous. We also had to wait a long time for our bedside table. That was a shame because the birthday child was really looking forward to the party in the Bastei. Despite the very nice location and the home cooking with vegan options, we won't be coming back.

As always, TOP LOCATION with a dream view of the Rhine. Food, well... Although they have a good salad there. Main courses, especially fish, are not recommended. And the men in service had (hopefully) just a VERY bad day. And there's no film festival yet...

We called spontaneously and wanted to know whether there was still a table for two people and a small child outside. Her succinct answer was: “Certainly.” After a not very friendly greeting from this very gentleman, we were seated on the very beautiful terrace, essentially in the third row away from the really beautiful view of the Rhine. When we asked whether we could have one of the many free tables with a direct view of the Rhine, the unfriendly employee replied that “it would be full tonight and these tables were all reserved.” Mind you, it was around 16: 30, he could have offered us a time frame. We finished eating at around 5:45 p.m. and not a single table in the front row was occupied. To me this borders on impertinent and felt very uncomfortable for us. Nevertheless, the rest of the staff was very friendly and the food, we had schnitzel pepper cream, was excellent. I have rarely had such delicious fries and the salad was also wonderful.

I’m a doctor. There is a waiter who’s like antisocial personality disorder! I was pissed off by his disgusting attitudes to customers! He looks around 55 and his skin looks a bit dark. There are several points to accuse him, especially after we finished the food, my friends went to the restroom, and I called him for the bill. My credit card is a “swipe” type, he said it may not work then. I told him to try, he swiped it, but not properly, even didn’t put the whole card in to the machine. I asked him to try again, he shouted to me, “you see! It doesn’t work! “His tone sounds like a grumpy gangster. My friends have not come back and I’m afraid he would beat me( he really looks like horrible), so I gave him the cash and he came back, threw the 2 coins loudly on the table! Is he a professional waiter? I really doubt. And I’m concerned about his mental status, I strongly suggest him go to the doctor to check if he’s antisocial personality disorder. I have been traveling to Germany for conferences for many times, most Germans are very kind and nice. He’s the exception, I think if he has no mental problems, then probably he’s a racist.

This is my favorite summer terrace in the city😁 The view of the Rhine is beautiful. We ordered two salads - large portions, everything was delicious. When we had eaten almost everything, they brought us a basket of bread. Nice, sure, but why bread at the end of a meal?

We celebrated our summer party in the InselBastei with around 30 people. It was a successful evening. The process was perfect, everyone had very positive comments about the food and service. Great, therefore full marks in every category :-)

We went there spontaneously for dinner, without a reservation. We wanted to make a reservation by phone, but today (July 28th) it was only permanently occupied. So we spontaneously drove to the restaurant. Parking spaces are available in front of the restaurant, if everything is full there are plenty of parking spaces in the area. The food was very good, unfortunately our side salad was forgotten, but when we asked the waiter about it, he brought it straight away. Service friendly. A great atmosphere!

We went out to eat in the island of Bastei this week... I had a Viennese style schnitzel... €4 extra for the sauce which was a dollop. You probably just poured it over with a tablespoon and you're done! The schnitzel itself was as thin and tough as anything else... My salad was rotten... I think it's a cheek to charge €20 for something like that... Mine A colleague had tagliatelle in tomato sauce... a children's portion for 13€... The other colleagues' specialties were swimming in butter... All in all a disaster... For me, this place will never be considered again!

I was so frustrated, it was a long novel that I shortened like this: Were invited to a big birthday. The celebration, planned for Sunday lunchtime from 12:30 p.m. to 5 p.m., in the hall. First there was sparkling wine and orange juice. 2 bottles each to pour yourself for 30 people, service only upon request and only briefly. The restaurant seemed shabby, the hall was so dirty that a small child's pants and hands were gray from under the table and he brought old, hard pasta that he had found with him. Then, around 1:15 p.m., drinks and a selection of food were taken, service was just barely friendly. Drinks came little by little. Starter, salad, after 30 minutes, then 3 speeches. Outside, the restaurant was getting full. Then wait. Children became restless. The first delegations went to the playground, which was visible from the terrace. Then wait again. The main course finally arrived around 3:45 p.m. Afterwards, coffee and cake were planned, which fell victim to the schedule. I don't know WHAT went wrong, the food was expertly cooked, the rump steaks were perfect. But the fish came cold and the potatoes were already gray from being kept warm for so long. That's why 3 stars for the food, 1 for the service, because it wasn't completely self-service and 1 for the ambience, which only at second glance showed that it was dirty and run down. Let's hope we just had a bad day...

Lage wunderbar! Essen gut, aber nichts Besonderes. Der Antipasti-Teller war definitiv keine gehobene mediterrane Küche, das Elsässer Cordon Bleu mit Bratkartoffeln war gut. Der Service war unterirdisch: Wir haben lange auf die Getränke gewartet, schließlich kam als erstes die Vorspeise, allerdings ohne Bestecke... Auf Nachfrage dann schließlich auch die Getränke. Auch auf die Rechnung mussten wir lange warten... und das, obwohl die Terrasse um 18 Uhr halb leer war. Schade.

The answer was yes, it was brought straight away, only after 30 minutes of waiting it was over. The quality of service depends on the staff. No lasting hospitality. The food is great. If the service isn't right, the food always has an off taste.

Unfortunately on Sunday I had to wait over an hour for the food, then a very long time for dessert + bill, schnitzels were very thin, very little sauce, price-performance ratio was not satisfactory, the taste was too bland for me personally, unfortunately the wine was also tasty Not good, tasted kind of stale, toilet unclean, ambience nice. All in all, unfortunately not a recommendation.

A big thank you to Haus Bastai🙌🏽 We had a very nice time in the restaurant at our civil wedding. We had made reservations for around 20 people, were allowed to bring our own cakes and only paid for drinks and a flat rate of €3.50 per person. The service was very friendly and attentive. They looked after us well from the moment we entered the house until the moment we left. The ambience was quiet and cozy, I'll definitely go there again.👍🏼

Nice restaurant on the Parkinsel with a nice terrace. You're sitting right on the Rhine, so to speak. The food was delicious, the service was friendly, but we had to wait a long time for our food. One star deducted because of the toilets, they were a disaster.

We've been there several times and I can highly recommend it. Even in the summer on the terrace with coffee and cake it tastes just as good 👍.

Disappointing experience, I ordered a Viennese style schnitzel. Cream sauce costs 4 euros extra. I thought no problem until the food was served. The schnitzel was as thin as a sheet of paper and as big as the plate. A handful of fries and half a tablespoon of cream sauce. I fell away from the faith... once and never again. The staff is very friendly. The operator driven by greed for profit.

As part of a seminar lasting several days, we were looking for a place to eat for lunch. This was simply the nearest restaurant that was open. In any case, we were positively surprised, clearly. The food was delicious, the portions were sufficient and the value for money was definitely right. There was also something for every taste.

What can I say, reservation is made without any problems. We are warmly welcomed. When ordering the food, they asked if there was a salad with the burger, this was answered in the negative, so a side salad was ordered. And what can I say about the burger there was a nice salad on the plate🙈. Given the prices, I expect the waitress to know the dishes. At 9 p.m. a waitress came and said she wanted to collect now. We weren't planning on leaving yet but we weren't even asked. We just paid, we ordered more coffee. When we didn't go fast enough, the shutters were closed and the lights were already turned off. I would just like to note the opening times state it is open until 11 p.m. Toilets dirty So we're not coming anymore, food was okay but for the price I expect a little more. There was no ham to be found in the cordon bleu, which tasted bland.

The location and decor of the restaurant are nice. But that was it. The food is “ok”, but the staff is unfortunately overwhelmed. It is now clear to everyone that there is a shortage of staff everywhere at the moment, especially in the catering industry. However, as a service employee you shouldn't let the guest feel that you are annoyed and overworked. Both side dishes (fries and spaetzle) weren't really edible... fries too greasy, spaetzle too dry. All in all, it's a shame about the location.

Yesterday we were here with 4 people for a goose dinner. What can I say? Unfortunately the food was a complete disappointment: Measly dry goose leg, meat hard as leather and partly charred, without crispy skin Red cabbage lukewarm one dumpling per dish, without follow-up service, Chestnuts were served cold!!! Plates were not preheated. Unfortunately, we can't recommend this at all and the beautiful decoration doesn't help either, nor does the staff that were understaffed in service that evening. That's really a pity… When we called the next day and described our disappointment, the boss explained that he wasn't there that evening and couldn't say anything about it. What we would expect if he should issue a voucher for it; no apology or anything like that. Thank you for the offer, but we'd rather make our goose ourselves and save ourselves further disappointment.

The food was very popular and good. A highlight was the yellow waiter, who does his job very charmingly and very attentively. Because of him alone, there is a high need for repetition.

Super nice restaurant, the menu is manageable but what is on offer is really amazing! The rump steak is a dream! :) And the prices are absolutely ok too. There is also a room that you can book for events. See photos.

Very nice restaurant in Ludwigshafen, right on the Rhine. Despite the larger company, the service staff were constantly on their feet and you didn't have to wait long for drinks to be ordered. A clear menu where everyone can find something, from cordon bleu to schnitzel, steak, vegetarian and vegan, salads, and so on. Day ticket with recommendation. Beautifully set table, everything very clean and tidy. There is an additional room for company, which can accommodate 40 people. The actual guest room also offers plenty of space. There was a lot going on on a Sunday lunchtime, I think a reservation would be recommended. Absolutely within the price range. There are enough parking spaces available. In front of the restaurant or in the surrounding area. Wasn't my last visit! If there is seating outside in the summer, that would be fantastic with the view.

LU denken viele an "dreckige Stadt ",das ist in diesem Fall nicht richtig, man kann herrlich am Rhein sich toll beeindrucken lassen, Insel Bastei wird dich inspirieren.

Wir waren gestern spontan nach dem spazieren gehen, im Restaurant um eine schöne Suppe zu essen.. Meine Frau aß Kastaniensuppe und ich eine schöne Tomatensuppe waren beide sehr sehr lecker das Ambiente sehr schön die Bedienung sehr freundlich. Wir freuen uns auf das nächste Mal.

Das Restaurant profitiert von der schönen Lage. Da wird der ein oder andere wohl da und dort ein Auge zu drücken. Wir waren am 1.Weihnachtsfeiertag da. "Zum Glück" ohne die beiden angemeldeten Rollstuhlfahrer ... das wäre eng geworden. Das Ambiente hat uns gefallen. Die Speisekarte weniger. Sie war stark gekürzt und die Speisen waren durchweg zu teuer, auch gemessen an der Menge und der Qualität. STOPFLEBER als Tierqualprodukt erster Güte geht gar nicht. Ein Grund für uns nicht mehr zu kommen, es gab aber noch mehr: Mit das preiswerteste war der totgekochte Hirsch in braunem Matsch (keine Soße) zu wenig Preiselbeeren, keine Birne, Haselnussspätzle: aus der Tüte, gekocht und trocken gebraten mit gemahlenen Haselnüssen bestreut ... ich hätte mir da Handgemachte vorgestellt, mit Haselnüssen im Teig. Kein Beilagensalat dabei- eine sehr trockene Angelegenheit ... Feldsalat als Vorspeise: sehr wenig, mit unpassender weißer Salatsoße zu Speck und Croutons, und fast 9 Euro, Maronensuppe lauwarm und lasch im Geschmack. Schnitzel in Panade schmeckte nach altem Fett. Da wir zudem noch über eine Stunde auf das Essen gewartet hatten, war ein Nachtisch für uns allein zeitlich nicht mehr drin. Naja, die Waffeln waren eh nicht mehr auf der Karte, genau wie der Beilagensalat und anderes mehr.

Wir waren am 2.Weihnachtsfeiertag in größerer Familienrunde hier. Vom Ambiente war es sehr schön und allen hat das Essen hervorragend geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war zuvorkommend, trotz vollem Haus. Alles rund um gelungen! Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder.

Ich hatte im Restaurant einen Tisch für neun Personen reserviert, um mit Freunden einen schönen Abend in gepflegtem Ambiente und nicht zuletzt mit guter Kulinarik zu verbringen. Wir wurden freundlich empfangen, die ausgewählten Gerichte waren schmackhaft und gefällig angerichtet. Der Grund meiner Bewertung ist jedoch MEMO, der gleich nach unserem Eintreffen nett und freundlich unsere Bestellungen aufnahm, Extras eingeschlossen, Fragen geduldig beantwortete und auch "getränketechnisch" einen kompetenten Eindruck machte. Er war aufmerksam, servierte gekonnt und war, bei Bedarf, gleich da. Wir waren uns einig einen so guten Service schon lange nicht mehr erlebt zu haben! Glückwunsch an MEMOS Chef zu so einem hervorragenden Mitarbeiter!

Ein sehr gutes Restaurant mit deutscher Küche. Eine sehr nette und zuvorkommende Bedienung, das Essen war sehr lecker. Parkplätze ausreichend vorhanden, auch obwohl alles Tische belegt waren. Schöne Aussicht auf den Rhein.

vor 2 Jahren stand der Salzsmühle mit normalen Salz zum Steak auf dem Tisch (einfach mal ausprobieren !)letztes Jahr hatten sie ein Essen vergessen. Dieses Jahr wurde ein Hirschgullasch welches wie schon mal gegessen aussah serviert .........

Ganz hübsches Restaurant direkt an der Parkinsel in Ludwigshafen. Sehr gut geeignet, um nach der Runde mit der Fellnase eine Pause einzulegen. Gutes Essen, leider war der eine Service-Mann überfordert. Auch wenn man alleine ist könnte man koordinierter und konzentrierter arbeiten.

Wir waren heute hier und wir waren total enttäuscht. Auf 2 von 3 Hauptspeisen haben wir 1,5 Std gewartet. Als sie nach unserer Nachfrage kamen waren sie kalt, wir mussten sie aufwärmen lassen Die 3. Hauptspeise wurde komplett vergessen und kam daher erst nach 2 Stunden. Geschmacklich war das Essen o.k., aber die lange Wartezeit und Nachfragerei hat uns die Lust auf weitere Besuche der Insel Bstei verdorben

Alles bestens. Die etwas höheren Preise sind gerechtfertigt. Große Portionen

Sehr gutes Restaurant, Fisch und Fleisch sind gut und von vernünftiger Qualität. Nur beim letzten Besuch war das Rumpsteak leider nicht mehr medium, geschmeckt hat es aber trotzdem.

Tisch war trotz Reservierung nicht eingedeckt. Aufgrund Krankheit nur abgespeckte Karte und einige Gerichte bereits ausverkauft. Essen entsprach nicht der Beschreibung auf der Karte. Selbst Weine gab es teilweise nicht.

Wir hatten wohl Glück,es war nicht voll,dadurch bekamen wir zügig unser wohlschmeckende Essen! 2 Kritikpunkte gab es jedoch! Wir sassen am runden Tisch,die Tür zu den Toiletten stand offen,dadurch wehte öfters ein unangenehmer Geruch vorbei! ( liegt aber wohl an der Kanalisation) Ferner bekamen wir Flaschen und Gläser weggeräumt ohne zu fragen ob wir noch was möchten,ok,vielleicht war die Bedienung noch unerfahren! Aber freundlich waren beide! Im Sommer kommen wir sicher wieder!
