Large beer garden, the first time you go there, you don't necessarily understand the system. You have to go to the bar yourself, order drinks and food, and pay right away. You take your drinks with you, the food is brought to you. It was annoying because I didn't know what my friends wanted. So I went back, paid for everyone, and of course, no one at the table could give me the change. They should reconsider. Otherwise, the food was very good and the price was reasonable.

I'm satisfied so far. A LITTLE HOUSE IN Erlangen.

A very nice garden restaurant with romantic lighting. The service is super friendly and accommodating. The usual price is €4.70 for a 0.5 liter beer 🍺 Highly recommended ;-)

It was a small, quaint beer garden. Drinks and food were paid for in advance at the cash register. The food was served.

We were in the beer garden today with friends, our children (adults), and our dog. We were very surprised by the friendly service. The dog was even given water and asked if he'd like a bone. Dogs aren't always welcome! Thanks for the great service!

We ate here under the trees outside in the "garden." Typically German. You order at the service counter, and after paying, you get your drinks right away. Food is brought to your table. Very large meals and plenty of drinks; it's nice to sit like this and enjoy the company of everyone. It was very busy, and almost all the tables were occupied.

Ready meals. The waiters are all very friendly.

You tell us what you want to eat and it's served incredibly quickly. The food was simple, but plentiful and of good quality. We were there on a hot day, so we had to fight for a table. I would go back tomorrow if I wasn't traveling through.

One of the most beautiful beer gardens in Erlangen and highly recommended for dog owners (experienced beer garden dogs 😺). My dog loves it because they give us small Schäufleknochen (sword bones) every day... (with a bit of luck 😻)

While this isn't unusual for a beer garden, you have to order and pay for your food and drinks at the counter. You bring your own drinks, and the food is brought to you.

I'm only reviewing the beer garden here. We had to wait in line for almost half an hour to get a drink and place a food order. The owners should think about something! The prices are too high considering you have to place your order at the bar. The garden has a very nice ambiance.

I remembered the beer garden as a place with good food. Unfortunately, we were sorely disappointed. The spaetzle with wild mushroom sauce were spaetzle without any mushrooms, with a greenish-yellow sauce that had no hint of mushroom or forest flavor, but simply tasted disgustingly artificial and was hopelessly oversalted. The cheese spaetzle would have been good if they weren't so salty, and the spaetzle were swimming in several centimeters of fat, no lie. It was simply disgusting. We drained the fat because there was so much. The roast pork with dumplings and gravy was quite good, except for the gravy, which was very thick, but nothing special. The gravy seemed more like it came from a packet and not fresh. The cordon bleu was okay, the fries very crispy. All in all, no reason to come back. It was the last time.

Good but very expensive. Half a glass for 4.90 is quite steep for self-service. Cookie bread is twice as much as in other beer gardens.

Out of nowhere, a Green Party election rally with loud, intrusive sound. Even with full concentration, it was impossible to have a normal conversation. After trying to sit through the whole thing, we left the venue after an hour of campaigning.

I love going here with my son for a bite to eat after visiting the playground. There's also a small corner with a slide and two swings.

I had a mixed salad. I think it didn't have any salad dressing. I've ordered salad several times before. It included a baked potato and baked feta cheese, and the salad was always particularly delicious, and today I experienced this disaster. I wouldn't go there again for a while. It really put me off.

Had a small birthday party. The service inside was excellent, and I can only praise the food. The wait was a bit long, but understandable given the busy indoor and outdoor areas. I'd be happy to come back and thank you for the lovely stay.

We, the animal welfare regulars' group, meet every few weeks in the most beautiful beer garden in the world—well, maybe in Middle Franconia. Outside in the summer, inside in the winter. It's beautiful, delicious food, and truly something for everyone! It's also good value for money. The staff is always attentive and very friendly!

A cozy restaurant and also a lovely beer garden. You might have to wait a bit when it's full, but that's unavoidable. When it's full, it can get a bit noisy, but otherwise quiet. Great beer garden, friendly staff, but the prices are slowly getting sky-high. €13 for the simplest dishes like currywurst (vegetarian) or Camembert is too much.

If you want to sit comfortably in a beer garden in the heart of Erlangen and choose from a good selection of food (including vegan and vegetarian options), then the "Bretterbude" is the perfect place. I love it there!

I had a decent portion of cheese spaetzle, but the other plates looked a bit lacking (there was a tiny piece of meat in the roast pork). I would come back.

If I have to queue for 30 minutes to get something to drink, where the pick-up prices for drinks are not exactly cheap, the food is brought, but for a beer garden, the price is high.

I've known the Bretter Bude for ages and so far I've been happy with the price-performance ratio and, among other things, it has a great beer garden. I cannot give a recommendation for a funeral service or similar gatherings. When we made a reservation by phone, the person on the phone said something completely different communicated when it corresponded to the facts on site. The lady announced that she just didn't have any cake at the time, so she had to order it first. It was clear that these had to be ordered additionally, but not that there should only be the cakes + if you wanted at least one coffee, the waiting time was longer than average because that was only possible with a cup of white. When we arrived at the restaurant there was already a sign with the wrong time for reservation

In the past it happened often, today it was for a family celebration. Great food, great staff and really good service. Heart, what more do you want?

Rustic beer garden, you can also sit inside, so a visit is also possible in bad weather or in winter. We come over for lunch every now and then, portions are enough even for good eaters.

We like the friendly nature of the waiters (especially towards the children) and the German cuisine. Food is prepared in-house, but some is probably also purchased. That doesn't bother us. There are changing dishes, which are noted on black boards. In addition, the schnitzels are absolutely fine for the money, they are very filling, so we always take the small/senior portions. Our tip at the end: 1x apple rings with cinnamon and ice cream (enough for the whole family). The restaurant accepts credit cards. We eat there regularly.

We ordered food on Boxing Day and unfortunately it was inedible so it ended up in the bin. Dumplings were completely overcooked so that it was more porridge than dumplings. Meat totally counts. “Crust” from the Schäuferla like it’s made of rubber. Super disappointing because we sometimes order there twice a week. I complained to Lieferando and a refund/compensation was simply refused to Lieferando without comment. It's a shame if you want to scare away customers who often leave a lot of money with them.

We always stop there on the way home or to Munich. Food is always good. We've had a few dishes from the menu and have never fallen for it. I hadn't tried fish yet, but it was served at the next table and looked excellent. Service is always good and the prices are right. Here you can find something on the menu for little money. Absolutely recommended. We are already looking forward to our next rest there.

We were looking forward to beer gardens in Erlangen, but had bad weather. The beautiful restaurant also has nice seats inside. I really enjoyed the beer (light). Of course the wheat that my cousin drank. The selection of food is fine and sufficient. Of course there is also a daily menu with delicacies. We ordered there for the first time today and it was a complete disaster. The potato salad was bad and I don't mean that it wasn't tasty, just that it was rotten. The roast was toe, the meat cakes were much too soft and didn't taste good either. Bratwursts were good, but you really can't go wrong with them, sauerkraut didn't taste like anything, the only thing that tasted good was the salad from the roast and the dumpling. Even the sauce from the roast was just tasteless. I will never order from there again. Without the rotten potato salad, I would have thought... ok, it's just not my taste because everything was way too unseasoned, but the rotten potato salad was really a disgrace.

Today for a roast pork and a hunter's roast in the Biergate. The waitress didn't know what she was bringing, didn't speak German, and brought the wrong food. After the complaint, the right thing came at some point. The food was terribly bad, I have never had such a bad sauce anywhere. You couldn't eat it and the lumps of flour were still visible. I'd love to have a drink, but definitely won't go out to eat anymore. Have already fallen in several times, e.g. B. A SNAIL in a salad. That's enough now!!!

In the middle of Erlangen, approx. 6 minutes walk from Röthelheim Bad. A cozy beer garden in a cultural residential area. Nice under the trees with large parasols. A little rain makes little difference. Food and drinks price-performance acceptable. Recommended for lunch or an evening with friends. Register larger groups if possible. There is enough space indoors when the weather is not so good. Daily specials, warm dishes and cold plates. Everything available. Rating 86% with 4.6 stars.

A great beer garden within a residential area near the center. Here you can enjoy home cooking both cold and warm. Especially to come down. On hot days, it's ideal to enjoy a cold drink here without having to travel far. The quality of the food varies, as does the preparation of the drinks. Especially when it comes to Aperol Spritz, the mixture is different every time and sometimes too little Aperol. Nevertheless, it's always worth a visit, whether you're hungry or small.

The visit is also possible with small children. A number of children's high chairs are available and these are used flexibly. Thanks to the closed area, the little ones can't escape and quickly find other children in the sandpit or on the small seesaw. Unfortunately there is no possibility to change diapers anywhere inside. A changing table would be nice!
