Of course, the food is great and plentiful. The waitresses are warm and quick.

We are lucky that one of our children has an apartment in Alt-Erlangen, a few minutes' walk from the “Schnitzelkrapp”! So we always have the opportunity to stop by there. An Eldorado for schnitzel fans. A large selection of different schnitzel variations is offered. Also seasonal (such as with asparagus), or a themed schnitzel for the Oktoberfest season (with Obatzter and red onions). You can choose between a half portion, which is two medium-sized schnitzels, or a whole portion with four pieces. Side dishes are freely available to choose from. Food is delivered quickly by friendly waitresses. A reservation is recommended. I can only speak for myself here: I have never been disappointed, it was always fresh and very tasty! Price-performance is unbeatable here. Always my pleasure!!! Now new: our own beer is brewed here! My favorite is the “Helle” (Seebrunserla). There is also an Alterlanger Landbier (Keller) and a Weizen. Every now and then there is a “special beer”. Update August 6, 2021: There are now so many types of beer that I can't mention 😂 just try it - they're all delicious. Keep it up!!!

Had dinner there with my girlfriend and it was very tasty and very good. Super fair price! Unfortunately we had to sit “outside” because of the closed company, but that wasn’t a bad thing :)

The Drei Linden zum Krapp restaurant is by far the restaurant that wants a fattening meal. Nobody believes me, I ordered Viennese style schnitzel with fries and when the food came I just thought who would manage this portion, there are 4 XXL sized schnitzels on the plate and the fries underneath, who can do the whole thing off to eat the place. The Blaue Traube Turnerbund in Erlangen has completely sunk this restaurant. The 4 XXL schnitzels with fries cost 15 euros. For this portion, the price is really a gift. The entire service team was friendly and nice. I'm very at peace and would love to come back. This restaurant also offers a great atmosphere at the Alterlanger Kärwa event with its own beer garden stage and live music. Always happy, Long Live Drei Linden.

Great local restaurant in Erlangen, with the highlight being the Schnitzel. Portions are huge so be careful when ordering; one portion is enough for two adults. You can order half portions. Despite the big sizes, quality is great and not expensive, totally recommended 👍

What a precious gem in Erlangen! Best schnitzel I ever had, we chose the Jägerschnitzel and it was perfect. The mushrooms were tender and the sauce perfectly made and smelling so good! We also had another one with paprika, garlic, sour cream and Gouda cheese, my personal favorite! Very kind service. We'll definitely go back.

We’ve been a couple of times. It’s always good. Fast service. And a good choice of schnitzels. This time the special with Sriracha Mayonnaise and Sweet Chili sauce was a hit! Small portion means 2 schnitzels by the way. A large portion is 4!

Disappointing visit despite reservations I've been to this restaurant before with my family and had a good experience - the team was friendly and we liked the food. So we decided to come back last Sunday with a larger group of families and friends. Despite making a reservation in advance, they were unable to offer us suitable seats when we arrived. The employees seemed nervous and were rude and unaccommodating to us. One suggestion was that we could eat standing up if we couldn't find a seat. This was of course not acceptable for us as guests. We also heard some derogatory comments from other guests that made us feel unwelcome - including the comment about whether we were in a bus stop since we were a larger group. It would have been far more respectful and easier if we had been informed in advance that it was not possible to accept our group. Then we could have made other plans.

** Even 1 Star is too much ** Very Bad experience Yesterday we called the restaurant to have reservation and we were almost 7 families with kids and the one who answered the call said you can come and don’t need a reservation. When we arrived the restaurant was almost full and gave us one table even there were another free tables around us but when we ask they says it’s reserved and they didn’t offer any help and sorry to say they were just ( Rudely speaking ) One of us asked (( how can I eat without having a place ?! And the waitress there replied rudely it’s not my problem you can eat while standing!!! )) We decided to leave and when we told her she replied it’s ok no problem go away!!!! *** Very very unprofessional and it wasn’t the first time for them acting this way with us But this time I couldn’t resist writing this bad review for her sake ( the waitress and her sister I think because it seems to be family business ) Always acting this way bad when we come as a group (( we spend really about 100-120 € per family every time and giving also good tips )) Again very bad experience and they ruined our outing yesterday

One star is a lot. We called and wanted to make a reservation, but were told “you don’t need a reservation, just come along.” Very unprofessional and unfriendly service on site and had to leave without ordering anything!!! with the statement “You just come”

Well, it's just the size that doesn't matter... the meat in the schnitzel is sometimes only 2mm thick (mainly it's breading) and the fried potatoes are also rather semi-sweet, so overall I don't necessarily have to go there again.

Perfect for eating well and enough. The beautiful ambience invites you to relax with friends and enjoy the good home-style Franconian cuisine. The portions are huge and the aluminum foil is already ready at the table to wrap up 😀 The kids were also happy about the bottle of ketchup at the table, so there wasn't too little available. Thumbs up - have to recommend!!!

I just say “schnitzel”. The food is not only good, but also very rich. The portions are so large that there are rolls of aluminum foil everywhere on the tables.

As a well-known schnitzel house, I would have expected really good schnitzels with wavy breading. Unfortunately the breading stuck to the schnitzel. Deep fried instead of pan? And spices (salt, pepper) are absent. But instead huge portions. Whoever likes it. Not a repeat factor for me. The only thing that stands out is the friendly service.

I can only recommend this restaurant! It is very busy and the food tastes excellent. The portions are so large that you can even take half home with you at a price that you only get half as much in other restaurants. The price-performance ratio here is (not quite anymore, see edit) outstanding. The restaurant is very nicely and tastefully decorated and the sanitary facilities are also satisfactorily clean. Edit: One star deduction for the fact that the fries are becoming fewer and fewer and, above all, mayonnaise costs €1 for a small bag...

Addendum on May 18, 2024: “Mayogate at Krapp” (-1 star ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️) Dear Krapp family I understand price increases of +25% for schnitzels, changed opening times, but fries without mayo are like dumplings without sauce… Greetings and see you soon, even if I have to bring my mayo with me... —— When you go to Krapp it is clear what you are getting. Always nice service with good food at fair prices... we go there every now and then - and have always been satisfied... Today we had the madder skewer (a giant shish kebab) with delicious and hot fries... for currently €9.50.

A lot to eat, you'll definitely go home full, but in my opinion it's quantity over quality. Questionable schnitzel variations that seem to be really well received. Unfortunately they didn't convince me, at just under €19 a proud price for this quality. The sauce for the Jägerschnitzel was very reminiscent of a ready-made sauce with a cup of flavor enhancer, the mushrooms in it were not particularly cooked through. The light beer, which calls itself seebrunserle or something similar, was by far the worst beer in years. My palate was surprised with a sour taste followed by a thin drink. A beer from Keller brought me back down to earth. The service is very nice and always up for a laugh. Courteous and loving. Thank you very much for this. My husband, my son and I have been coming to eat madder and schnitzel at least once a month for years (approx. 10 years). The schnitzels, in whatever form, are awesome...my favorite is the "three linden salad" I could get into that. The boss is awesome, very friendly and very personable, and of course the other waitresses too ;) I'll leave a very warm greeting here. We always enjoy coming back.

This is the place to eat all kinds of fresh homemade schnitzels! Come with a great appetite as the ‘half’ portion still counts 2 schnitzels!

Unfortunately, the tranquil coziness of a Franconian inn has given way to a modern restaurant. But they brew their own very good beer!

Today there was a schnitzel special (schnitzel with ham and grilled green asparagus and gratinated with cheese) with a homemade Franconian potato salad. The portion tasted so delicious and was huge. That's enough for me for the next day. Eating out here is a fantastic and tasty journey for the palate. I can only recommend eating here with the whole family or even alone.

The schnitzel looks similar to a potato pancake, but is bone dry. In the Hawaiian version it is edible but not a culinary delight. The restaurant is iconic and the service is very nice and quick.

Good Franconian cuisine, especially delicious schnitzels in all variations! Very friendly, humorous and courteous staff! The portions are really big! You can also order half portions, which are also sufficient. There is foil everywhere on the tables for wrapping or you can bring your own containers. The waiting time from ordering to serving the food was very short and really commendable for a Sunday (Easter)! The Cordon Bleu with fries in the photo is half a portion! Definitely recommended!

I had the Viennese style schnitzel(s). The portions are huge with 4 schnitzels per person and fries for €18.50, absolutely fine. The taste was also super delicious, I would happily go there again. The only thing that I found a bit annoying was the noise from the other guests. It wasn't particularly suitable for entertaining on the side, but that's the case in many restaurants.

Personally, I find the schnitzels too thin. The meat here is plated so thin you could read a newspaper through it. Even in Vienna, schnitzels have a good 4-7 mm. But when it comes to the perfect thickness, opinions - and tastes - differ. But the food tasted good ⭐⭐⭐⭐ and the side dishes were just as plentiful (potato salad or fried potatoes are very tasty). The service is very good, even if you don't have bowls with you, something to take away is offered and the service is very friendly.

We used to go there regularly, but then the quality dropped. After almost a decade we went there again and were thrilled. Good food, very friendly service. Everything perfect. I can really only recommend it.

The top address for schnitzel lovers in Erlangen. We had a cordon bleu, black forest schnitzel and the horseradish schnitzel. All 3 were super tasty and XXL. The service was attentive, quick and friendly. Clear recommendation 👍🏻

I've been coming here for years and find the food delicious! Always bring friends and acquaintances who don't yet know the economy with you. Every newbie so far has been amazed by the food and quality! The boss and boss are very nice and always take the time for a small talk, which is not a given. Children also get their money's worth here. The Greek schnitzel is and remains my absolute favorite. Even when business is busier, the food never takes long to be served. The waitresses are friendly and on the ball. The only thing I'm personally missing is the mayo for the fries and fried potatoes ;-) We always enjoy coming back, even if we have to drive more than 25km. The journey is worth it! Hello together, We wanted to try out XXL dishes in the surrounding area and so I came across the restaurant “Krapp - Drei Linden” in Erlangen while researching on the internet. As described, the restaurant is located in a residential area. The ambience corresponds to a rustic Franconian restaurant whose main business is a variety of selections of schnitzel. The service staff is friendly and strives to meet the guests' wishes. However, I have to point out one of my points of criticism here: unfortunately, despite walking past the table several times, it was not seen that my drink glass was already empty. This didn't change until the bill was paid. Drinks, starters and main courses were taken and promptly brought to the table. A bit too quick for our taste as we had just started with the starter and the main course followed immediately. Both dishes tasted good. I liked that the baked Camembert was breaded myself and wasn't a finished product. However, the Camembert was still firm on the inside and actually still cold in the middle, so my taste experience was very subdued. For the main course we had Schnitzel Cordon blue with fries. The portion for the price is impressive. A total of 4 large cordon blue with a good portion of fries. In terms of taste, these were completely fine. Personally, they were pounded a little too thin for me, which made the meat very dry, especially around the edges. The ham was of very good quality and the cheese was also flavorful. Cleanliness was guaranteed at all times and the price for the portions was completely reasonable. So if you like to eat sumptuously, you are welcome to get your own impression of the restaurant “Krapp - Drei Linden” in Erlangen.

Besuch am 13.01.2024. Unsere Reservierung für 2 Personen haben wir über das Kontaktformular auf der hauseigenen Homepage mit der Bitte um kurze Rückmeldung und Bestätigung am Vorabend getätigt. Da keine Rückmeldung kam, habe ich einige Stunden vor Besuch nochmals angerufen und Tisch von der sehr freundlichen Dame des Serviceteams bestätigt bekommen. Damit hatten wir grünes Licht für unsere Besuch. Der Service hat uns wie bereits zuvor am Telefon freundlich empfangen. Das bestellte Essen war super lecker und die Portionen in Übergröße. Hier kann man aber auch eine halbe Portion bestellen die völlig für den normalen Esser ausreicht. Satt wird man hier auf jeden Fall und geschmacklich gibt's nichts zu beanstanden. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Nochmal vielen Dank für den super Service. Als kleine Anmerkung oder Verbesserungsvorschlag für den Inhaber: Es wäre für den Gast und auch für die Angestellten einfacher, auf der Homepage einen eindeutigen Hinweis "Bitte Reservierungen bei fehlender Bestätigung telefonisch anfragen und bestätigen lassen, da sonst die Gefahr besteht, keinen Platz mehr zu bekommen" einfügen würde. Damit ist beiden Seiten viel Ärger erspart und auch der Gast nicht verärgert. Wir hatten angerufen aber das wird wahrscheinlich nicht jeder machen. Auf jeden Fall war es ein toller Abend mit leckerem Essen. Wir werden auf jeden Fall Wiederholungstäter

Richtiges leckeres Essen zum guten Preis. Man wird auf jeden Fall satt.

Bei schönem Wetter sind die schattigen Sitzplätze im Freien sehr begehrt. Als Attraktion ist die schöne Wasserfontäne auf dem Nachbargrundstück zu nennen. Das zusätzlich vom Faß zum Ausschank gelangende Saisonbier wird auf einer Tafel angeboten. Hervorzuheben ist die unaufgesetzte Freundlichkeit aller Mitarbeiter! Beim nächsten Besuch werde ich garantiert auch die vielversprechende Speisekarte testen. Versprochen!

Portionen sind sehr groß...aber von der Qualität oder Geschmack eher Mittelmäßig

Die sog. "Schnitzel" schmecken eigentlich nur nach Panade und Fett. Klar, sie sind riesig, aber auch ebenso dünn und für uns ungenießbar. Ähnlich auch die Varianten: Langosschschnitzel, Griechenschnitzel, und die mit pfundweise Käse überbackenen Variationen. Werden die Riesenschnitzel serviert, dann strahlen die Augen des Bestellers und er kichert meist vergnügt. Während und spätestens nach dem Essen gefrieren Strahlen und Kichern, man verlagert sich auf den Verzehr der Pommes und trotz gefüllter Mägen macht sich meist Ernüchterung breit. Da wird dann auch schon mal die mitservierte Alufolienrolle links und der Rest des trockenen Schnitzels auf dem Teller liegen lassen. Sonntags ein komplett anderes Bild: durchweg leckere fränkische Braten, manchmal auch Wild. Fleisch, Klöß, Soß, Kraut und Wirsing: alles sehr lecker, echt fränkisch, und preislich für ER okay. Vom Braten innen essen muss ich abraten, da es da sehr schnell wieder nach den "Schnitzeln" stinkt. Spitzenklasse sind die Rifferla, die es gibt wenn Schlachtschüssel ist. Die Bedienungen sind stets flink und freundlich und haben auch mal Zeit für ein Pläuschchen. Die neuen Biere aus Eigenherstellung sind ganz gelungen. Trotz Schnitzel 4 Sterne.

Ganz groß hervorzuheben ist, dass man hier für sein Geld noch wirklich was bekommt…und das in wirklich sehr guter Qualität! Ich mag die schlichte, bodenständige Atmosphäre. Der Service ist super nett und schnell, das Bier ist nicht so meins, hat mir zu wenig „Körper“ und bisschen zu viel Kohlensäure. Aber hey…das ist Geschmackssache und allein, dass hier Bier selber gebraut wird, ist doch schon geil…!

Und sehr wichtig für alle die jetzt dort mal zum Essen hingehen.....schaut euch vorher die Portionen an bevor Ihr bestellt nicht umsonst werden 1/2 Portionen angeboten. Selbst wenn Ihr die nicht schafft, Ihr dürft den Rest gerne mitnehmen.👍👍

Tolle Schnitzel für einen guten Preis inklusive hausgemachter Kartoffelsalat🤤. Das Mittagessen am Wochenende ist interessanter, da mehr Speisen angeboten werden. Meistens besser einen Tisch zu reservieren. Schöner Innen- und Außenbereich im Sommer. Gute angenehme Wohngegend in unmittelbarer Nähe der Autobahn A 73.

Naja das Ambiente kann nichts dafür, aber die voll gestopfte Bude, darunter leidet alles. War mir viel zu voll. Jeder will diese Schnitzel haben, welche nur gute Esser schaffen. Sie sind zwar Hauch dünn, trotzdem. Von den normalen 2,3 gibt es auch halbe Portionen, wenn man aber ein ausgefallenes wie Langossteak, oder ein Griechisches möchte muss man die normale Portion nehmen. Da liegen dann 4 dünne drauf. Alufolie liegt bereits an jedem Tisch😅 Werde trotzdem lieber bei nem normalen Cordonbleu als Lieblingsschnitzel bleiben. Alles in allem aber gut, wer mal andere Schnitzel probieren möchte. Man kann die Schnitzel aber auch abholen und bekommt sie dann in einer Pizzaschachtel😜👍

Wir hatten ein großes Wiener Schnitzel, ein großes griechisches und eine halbe Portion vom Mailänder Schnitzel. Es war sehr lecker und die Größe der Mahlzwit sehr üppig. Ich hab nicht einmal die halbe Portion geschafft. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Wartezeit auf das Essen war sehr gering obwohl das ganze Restaurant fast voll war. Wer Schnitzel mag, ist hier absolut richtig.
