It was our first time in Ingelheim and we went to the Ingelheim Summer Garden that same evening. It's right on the Rhine – you can get a drink and watch the boats. We were there both times at sunset – it was truly beautiful. The food was okay. The price was reasonable, but everything was great. The only thing missing was music.

It's always nice to plan a visit to the "Ingelheimer Sommergarten" during a day trip. The ambiance in the beer garden, right on the banks of the Rhine and the adjacent ferry, is wonderful! Relax in the beach-like lounge chairs, at the outdoor tables, or under large parasols, and enjoy the view of the Rheingau (Östrich-Winkel). The staff is friendly, attentive, and attentive; the pleasant manager is always available for a short, pleasant chat. The food is very good and plentiful—everything is just right. Nice location on the Rhine. The price-performance ratio is also good. Various seating options and a good selection of food. Unfortunately, it wasn't possible to charge the e-bike battery, even for a small fee.

Beautiful to sit on the Rhine in great weather

We were there with a group of people on Easter Monday in light rain and enjoyed good coffee under the large umbrellas. The cake was good and good value for money. We were there again today, August 19th. Everything was as usual, but the sausage griller had a tone that suggested he thought his customers were animals. For that reason alone, I won't be getting anything to eat there again. Other paying guests felt the same.

A message to management/owner: If your staff reacts so strangely when a child builds a 5cm-high sand tower in an inappropriate place that they immediately flatten it and smooth the sand in front of the children so the owner doesn't get angry, you might be wondering if this is a normal way to enforce the rules in your own restaurant or beer garden. If there's a great sandpit at the back of your property where children can play, put up a sign pointing it out and instruct your staff to inform guests of it in the normal way. And when you put up the sign, also remove the stinging nettles near the sandpit.

The pier is a special place for us when we're out cycling. With a good drink, delicious food, and the special atmosphere, we simply unwind and enjoy the view of the Rhine. The sophisticated atmosphere invites you to linger. I would especially like to express my sincere praise and our renewed thanks to the friendly, very helpful manager. (Last Sunday, she helped us a lot with opening our bike lock.) Best wishes until our next visit.

Beautifully located, ideal for relaxing and unwinding, something different. Plenty of food and drink options. Unfortunately, it can be a bit noisy when busy. Restrooms are very clean!

We like coming here; it's good value for money, and it's always nice to have a bite to eat in good company. Sure, the weather wasn't great today, but we, along with four other couples who were apparently meeting there, were disappointed to find the doors closed today. What a shame.

A wonderful day in a wonderful location: once again, we discovered a picturesque oasis on the Rhine. The refreshing salads with mustard dressing – one with shrimp and one with turkey – were freshly prepared and tasted delicious. We enjoyed them with the regional mineral water, namely from the Eifel region: BROHLER. We'll definitely be back.

Great summer garden, lovely atmosphere BUT What was absolutely amazing for us was that the homemade iced tea they offered was mixed with tetra pack iced tea and tap water right in front of our eyes! They tried to keep it a bit secret, but we still saw it clearly! I tried to point it out, but they just shrugged and said it was a matter of interpretation (the manager was right there and didn't react at all). We were then offered a homemade lemonade, which I declined! Lost trust! It's a shame that guests are so misled!

In warm weather, it's an ideal place to linger for a bite to eat and a drink. The terrine for the white sausages, for example, is a real eye-catcher and has been carefully selected.

A great spot to end the day. Watch the sun go down with a cool drink. The staff is friendly and helpful (even right before closing time 😉) I'd happily return.

There's always a free spot for my companion and me. Reasonable prices, but also for the appropriate quality. Always happy to come back. It's practically my living room in the summer.

It's really nice to sit there and look at the Rhine and the ships. The summer garden is self-service, which is perfectly organized and works despite the large crowds. Food and drink are absolutely fine, price but also quality are solid. Even in the early 2025 season, the summer garden remains a beautiful destination. The service has gotten even better.

I saw the first rays of sunshine in the Ingelheim summer garden. The beer garden is located directly on the Rhine and the ferry pier. So you can easily come over from Östrich Winkel for a currywurst. You have an interesting gastronomy system! In the middle container you pay and get vouchers for food and drinks. You can then pick them up in the stalls on the left and right. The currywurst with fries was plentiful and very good. It was already well attended for the time of year. There are probably around 40-50 tables, the prices are fair! The view of the Rhine and the ships passing by is extraordinary. The employees are very nice and friendly. Feel free to hand over the tray at the end. There are some parking spaces directly in front of the entrance. Might be scarce in summer! Have fun and have a nice summer!

We were at the summer garden and had just parked when a man came out of the ice cream truck and shouted at us that we weren't allowed to park and that it was a private parking lot. We actually wanted to go to the summer garden, but turned around and drove away. This can also scare away guests. We'll never come again.

I was persuaded to visit by hearsay and in a radio report at the opening of the season. But then I was a bit disappointed: the location was pretty desolate. The view of the Rhine is obscured by mobile barriers. The food comes from the snack bar and there are a lot of 1000 liter tanks in the square, which I wonder why. They're just annoying. With the Rhine behind you, you inevitably look at the unsightly part of Ingelheim harbor. A privacy screen would be appropriate. So all in all a disappointment. There are certainly better places with a view of the “father” Rhine. Two stars for the comfortable chairs :-()

Location with a great location on the Rhine - 5 points for that. Service: Exhausting self-service - you have to queue several times to get drinks or food. Buy a coupon, then drink and then food. Could it be solved more ergonomically? The serving staff were sometimes very annoyed and therefore anything but friendly. Children are not welcome. You're probably afraid that the parents won't pay attention and the kids will fall into the Rhine. Bratwurst and currywurst are not recommended. Obviously warmed up and instead of grillcross, limp when you bite into it. The worst, the curry sauce, makes you eat it! It's a shame, because so much more could be done with this location. If you want to enjoy the good Ingelheim brewery beer served there, you are much better off at the Goldener Engel when it comes to service and food. Overall 2 stars, but only for the great location!

Yes, wonderful view of the Rhine, priceless location

This place is amazing! On a bike trip I broke down whilst at this establishment and they could not do enough to help us. They even let me park my bike on one of their static boats so it would be safe until we could recover the bike the next day. The currywurst was epic and everything was just sublime. The location is exceptional next to the ferry across the Rhine. 100% visit this amazing place.

This place is absolutely the best place to eat and have a drink on the river Rhine! Not only that but we broke down and they phoned every bike mechanic they knew to help us out. I can't reccomend them highley enough. They are all absolute diamonds ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

The summer garden is right next to the ferry dock in Ingelheim. A really great spot on a beautiful summer day. The selection of food and drinks is extensive and leaves nothing to be desired. In addition, the employees are very friendly and accommodating. The summer garden is definitely worth a visit.

Addendum 8/14/24: The staff at the checkout and the drinks counter are very friendly, the man in the food counter sometimes behaves like the proverbial ax in the woods. Completely hectic and annoyed, he shouts at waiting customers with the words "next, next, next... zack zack zack!" to. Sorry - even if it's a beer garden... THAT'S NOT POSSIBLE!!!!!

Beer from the Goldener Engel Ingelheim brewery and Äppelwein are my favorite drinks there. Very nicely laid out tables, also suitable for larger groups. It's great that it's located on the pier and has a view of the Rhine. Located right next to the Ingelheim ferry pier to Oestrich-Winkel in Hesse 👍

The location on the Rhine is great. The currywurst was reasonably priced. And the lemonade is delicious, but calling it homemade is a bit of an exaggeration because only syrup is used. But they definitely taste very good!

The location directly on the Rhine is very nice. You have to get your own food and drink in advance. The quality of the food is okay and is about the same as a snack bar. The prices are also completely reasonable. There is also a toilet on site.

We drank a delicious homemade lemonade here in a lovely atmosphere. You can make yourself comfortable on a beach lounger in the sand or take a seat at a table.

The summer garden is located on the pier directly on the Rhine. Very well attended and very full when the weather is good. Self-service drinks and food, unfortunately not that cheap and there is still room for improvement in terms of taste.

You sit with a view of the Rhine. When it comes to serving food, it would be good if one person didn't have to do everything alone, but instead one person stood at the grill and the other finished the orders.

Compared to "Bauer Schorsch", the Ingelheim summer garden has a much nicer ambience and also has its own flair. Prices for food and drink are OK. We always enjoy coming here.

A must when you're here. We travel from Leipzig once or twice a year to visit the family. The summer garden is simply a must for us when we are here.

Really beautifull. But when the weather is good, it's very crowded and you have to wait in line for a long time to get something to drink or eat.

Mediocre and lazy service, no bathroom, infrastructure could improve. Go to Heidenfahrt instead.

Nice beer garden adjacent to the river port of Ingelheim. You pay at the checkout, then go and get what you ordered. There is a grill kitchen and a drinks counter offering, among other things, a local craft beer, Golden Engel.

You have to come early otherwise there will be a shortage of places. But a beach ambience with food and drinks at moderate prices rounds it off. I like coming here.

A bit very German, but otherwise ok. For me there is nothing except french fries or the pretzel. Vegan food is a foreign concept for such establishments. There's plenty of alcohol and when I think about it, I was almost the youngest - a boomer beer garden for cyclists. Been there again. The view of the Rhine is just great. But there are no animal-free alternatives even for coffee. The location on the Rhine is of course great. The Äppler was tasty. Therefore still 4*
