I am an Indian restaurant owner from Dorsten, specializing in Mahslakshmi Gewehsendie No. 124. The duck and mango were very tasty, and the service was very friendly. I would gladly come again.

I ate Indian food for the first time and I must say it was very, very delicious. It won't be the last time I go there.

Mahalakshmi in Dorsten is a real insider tip for anyone who loves authentic Indian food or wants to discover it for the first time. The staff is very friendly, and the prices are extremely fair for the quality offered. The tandoori dishes are prepared in the traditional way in a clay oven. The homemade paneer cheese is also highly recommended. Children will also enjoy themselves here, making the restaurant suitable for the whole family. In addition, the restaurant offers a wide selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes. I can wholeheartedly recommend Mahalakshmi to anyone who happens to be in the Dorsten area.

HAD A GREAT EXPERIENCE AT at mahalakshmi restaurant the food was very super good and the flavour was so authentic my mouth got watery I ordered butternut and with mixed veg butternut was very awesome and the mixed vegetables were too good. The environment was very calm and clean the staff was also good perfect for having a time with friends family and your loved ones everything from food to service was good everything from service to food what's good I definitely recommend this restaurant to have a dinner there

I ordered Dal Makhni and Butter Chicken, both were perfectly cooked, rich, and so flavorful, just like traditional indian taste. The atmosphere was calm, clean, and really welcoming, perfect for enjoying a good meal with friends or family. The staff were polite, quick, and very friendly. We always enjoy coming here. The staff is very friendly, attentive, and creates a family-like atmosphere. The menu is significantly larger than many comparable restaurants in the area. My highlights: passion fruit lassi, palak paneer, and garlic naan :-)

We passed here after a day in Moviepark. The food is excellent and I can advice you to go here instead of eating in the park. The palaak paneer was the best we tasted so far in Europe.

I was there last week.and I had very bad experience about food.i ordered grill chicken they give me raw chicken also with very bad smell.the owner behaviour is also very bad with the customer.the old lady she doing work front of the customer.she had very smell in her body odour.and that old men he puts his finger in the nose alwys.food is alos not fresh .I had diaria.i never recommended this restaurant anymore for anyone else.thank you so much

We're so glad we stumbled upon this restaurant by chance – they even have outdoor seating! The absolute best mango curry I've had in a long time! The onion naan bread is something I've never had anywhere else. We'll be back very soon!

Had a great time here. Authentic Indian flavors! We ordered chicken Tikka masala, mixed grill and naan for dinner. Also tried their masala chai, mango lassi and pakoray. Mango lassi is a must try! The owner husband and wife are also very friendly !

I was in the area for business and just wanted to have dinner. My expectations weren't too high. I've now saved the restaurant on Google Maps, because if I ever find myself in the area again, I'll definitely eat there again. It was excellent! Well-seasoned, the portions were generous, and the service was attentive, friendly, and polite. I enjoyed it so much that my mouth still waters just thinking about it.

The restaurant is nicely decorated and clean. The staff are super friendly without seeming fake. It was our first time eating there and the portions are large and the food was absolutely outstanding. I had the naan bread with lamb and crispy duck with curry and rice and can highly recommend it. We will definitely eat here again!

Very friendly staff. Typical Indian restaurant, very large portions. The food was good and freshly prepared. No. 100 Chicken Vandaloo is marked “very spicy.” But it lacked a lot of sharpness even by European standards. The mango lassi was also delicious and has been refined somehow. The table decoration with the paper mat and the electric tea light seems very careless. Nevertheless, price/performance is good. I will visit again in due course.

I have rarely eaten better Indian food than here. The naan bread is absolutely top class, as is the main course. Price-performance ratio is completely acceptable and the staff are very accommodating, attentive and friendly. I would love to come back and can only warmly recommend this restaurant.

We were here with an Indian friend on March 18, 2025. He recommended butter chicken and even had a dish with paneer (cheese). He praised the food as AUTHENTIC! There are three small dips: the red tamarind is fruity and sweet, light green mint sauce and something dark green, very spicy, be careful. We also drank Indian tea with lots of milk and some spices. The (mango) lassi is also typically Indian. Overall, the restaurant is highly recommended.

I can only recommend this Indian restaurant. The dishes are very tasty and, in my opinion, authentically prepared, perhaps seasoned a little milder :-). The homemade paneer is really tasty, the butter chicken or the grill mix are also highly recommended.

Very traditional Indian restaurant. I like to eat there often because they cook traditional Indian food and it tastes really good. My favorites are the M2, M5 but also the M42. The restaurant is run by an Indian who pampers his guests with a lot of passion and friendliness. The restaurant is not modern but very authentic and highly recommended.
