Indisches Restaurant Gulshan in Lübben (Spreewald)

The food was terrible, the service was terrible. Mutton Biryani was so bad that it felt like somebody cooked it for the first time. The mutton was TOTALLY UNDERCOOKED. For those who love Biryani, the biryani here had capsicum in it. We asked for a little extra curd to gulp the terrible biryani rice with but they charged it as 2.5 euros worth of just Raitha. The chicken Tikka masala was sweet and it felt like the curry was some sort of tomato sauce. It had capsicum as well btw. The cheese naan had no cheese, although we never ordered it, it came to our table anyway and we got charged for it. Most importantly the white rice was STALE and smelled bad.

We were there for the first time as part of a vacation. The service was very friendly and the food was served after a short wait. The main courses and starters were very tasty, the great spices made it special and the Indian wine also went wonderfully with it. My husband and I were both very satisfied, hence 5 stars!

A hidden gem in Spreewald! Me and my friends were looking for a nice place after paddling and found this place! The owner and his family were super friendly and nice! 5 stars to the service as we had a-la-carte items requested and the chef/owner was so happy to help us with it. Thank you once again…will be back again and recommend everyone who loves authentic punjabi food unlike the traditional ones in berlin to try here! 👌🏻

Good food for a good price. Good service, nice operation. This is my favorite restaurant in Lübben.

Unfortunately I didn't like it that much overall. Maybe first of all the positive: the atmosphere is very cozy. Everything is decorated quite tastefully and not too kitschy. I was there on a Sunday evening and was almost alone in the restaurant. The service was also very nice and pretty quick. The prices are quite affordable and, like most Indians, the selection of vegetarian dishes is quite extensive. In theory everything should be fine - unfortunately it failed because of the food. My mango lassi was still absolutely fine. For the main course (Bengan Punjabi) I had the choice of whether I wanted rice or a Bhatura. I think I was the first Indian where I could optionally have the meal without rice. I then decided on the rice. It was colored beautifully yellow with turmeric, but otherwise completely unseasoned and tasteless. Unfortunately, this also applied to the main course. This was pretty much the most German take on Indian food that I can remember. What was also unfortunate was that the eggplant was rather lukewarm in the middle and you couldn't really taste a single component of the filling. If you're going out for Indian food for the first time in your life, then maybe that's okay, but if you compare it to the selection you have in Berlin, then it tastes very boring here.

After the boat trip we were still hungry and hungry and came here based on the reviews - we weren't disappointed! Very friendly staff, the food was delicious and the atmosphere was also very pleasant (luckily the weather cooperated). Only the papadam was a bit too spicy for us - but that's probably a matter of taste. We can definitely recommend “Gulshan”!!

We had a very bad experience of ordering from here today.. We had ordered two plates of Grill and in which we were given the STALE chicken leg pieces. Not just one, but all 3 pieces had gone bad and utterly INEDIBLE and SMELLED SO BAD.We had travelled from so far to this restaurant. As we had ordered Dinner late, the moment we arrived and back and noticed this, the restaurant was closed. Unfortunately tomorrow is a holiday for the restaurant too. We are new to this place as tourists and all we wanted to get was some decent Indian food.

Decent price-performance ratio, but no culinary revelation

Delicious food, fast service. Ambience so typically Indian but it would be great if it were a little more comfortable. So we would definitely come more often when we are in the area.

Ordered chicken biryani and it was full of flavors. Generous quantity too. I had a brief and nice chat with the owner, Mr. Mandeep, and he came across as a very humble person. Would recommend this place for anyone wanting to have a good Indian meal.

We had the butter chicken and the chicken curry, both were delicious. Staff very friendly and prices okay. Clear recommendation :)

The food was very tasty and the eye definitely eats here too. There is a lot of vegetarian choice, the staff is very friendly and quick. The Bhatura bread is definitely recommended here. 👍🏻

We had dinner here as part of our vacation. We were in the restaurant very early (1730 hours) and were the only ones at that time. The service was very courteous and friendly, the drinks and food were prepared quickly. All in all, good cuisine, delicious, fresh bread, Chicken Jhalfrezi pleasantly spicy. Chicken meat super tender. At the end there was a little schnapps but unfortunately no Pan Mukhwas 🙃 But all in all a great value for money 👍 Thank you

We had dinner here during the weekday evening. Even though we were the only guests, we were served very friendly. Yes, unfortunately this is not always the case. We really enjoyed the food and it was plentiful! A great change in the area.

After several visits here is a review. The service is very good and friendly. The food is very good and adequate for the price. As already mentioned, the Indian spiciness is missing here. Just let us know and hot sauce can be served with it. I'd love to come here again.

We enjoyed it very much and the portions were completely ok. Rice was refilled at our request and no additional charge was made. The free mango liqueur was also good. A successful dinner.

Amazing hospitality, good food, clean restaurant. It was lovely to meet Mandeep ji and his daughter. Definitely recommended, if you are going to Tropical Islands, do visit this place. It’s a bit far but worth it.

Typischer Inder, guter Durchschnitt Essen hätte mehr Gewürze vertragen können , teilweise fehlte die Schärfe Insgesamt gesehen war es aber gut und würden es weiterempfehlen Es gab mehrere Sorten Rotwein auf der Karte zur Auswahl , die alle nicht vorrätig waren , nach langer suche wurde noch eine Flasche gefunden. Der Service war ok

Ich war mit einem Kollegen dort ein trinken daher kann ich nicht viel über die Speisen sagen. die Bedienung war sehr nett und hat uns zum Schluss noch ein selbstgemachten Schnaps ausgegeben. Das Ambiente ist vollkommen ok und nix zu beanstanden. Wir haben uns wohl gefühlt.

Service war etwas gestresst... Essen soweit alles ok... Aber kenne bessere Inder wo auch etwas mehr auf dem Teller ist bei dem Preis.

Super lecker essen und preiswert.

Eines unserer Lieblingsrestaurants in Lübben. Uns hat es bisher immer geschmeckt, die Bedienung freundlich, die Preise angemessen und man kann auch mit Karte zahlen, was im Spreewald leider keine Selbstverständlichkeit ist. Empfehlung!

Das Essen war gut und ausreichend. Es fehlte mir irgendwie etwas Gemüse. Der Service war freundlich und hilfsbereit, aber etwas verplant.

Perfektes Essen...a bizzel zu viel, kenne mich echt auch mit Indischen Essen, aber hier war es wirklich top. Prima...

Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, allerdings waren die Protionen für den Preis eher klein. Für Kinder gibt es keine separaten Gerichte. Es ist aber möglich jedes Essen als Kinderportion zu bestellen, da die indische Küche aber viel mit Gewürzen arbeitet, muss man vorher Abwegen, ob es passt. Der Service war super, sehr freundlich und wir mussten auch nicht lange warten.

Wir hatten ein veganes Reisbyriani und veganes Dal. Es war lecker, aber für unseren Geschmack etwas salzig. Das Mittagsmenue ist jedoch gut und günstig!

Kommen aus dem Rheinland und waren 2 Nächte in Lübben. Das Essen war so gut das wir an beiden Abenden dort waren. Einfach Lecker zu einem Toppreis. Nur den indischen Wein habe ich nur 1x bestellt...😁

Die Kellnerin war extrem freundlich, auch eine Reservierung war sehr einfach möglich. Die Portionen waren nicht zu groß und das Essen lecker. Es lohnt sich.

Ambiente super, Essen kann ich nur empfehlen richtig Lecker. Service war so eigentlich Topp aber wir hatten wohl den Schichtwechsel & mussten etwas länger warten fürs bezahlen, aber ansonsten gerne wieder.

Eine reiche Auswahl macht es schwer, sich zu entscheiden. Alles, was wir bestellten, hat hervorragend geschmeckt. Sehr freundlicher Service, indische Musik, dezent, so dass man sich dabei gut unterhalten kann. Und es gab sogar noch einige kostenlose Zugaben. Und das alles zu fairen Preisen. Auf jeden Fall eine Empfehlung!
