It was always delicious and the service was always very friendly! Is there a way to support the family now after the fire?

I've been coming to this place for so long and so much! Every time you are warmly welcomed and given the best food with the friendliest service! I love the vegetarian dishes, I can especially recommend the 182. 😉 Thank you for so many great memories with friends or family.

My first choice when it comes to food in Meiningen. Very tasty dishes with good portion sizes at fair prices

We were finally at the Bombay Bistro again. Unfortunately, due to the distance, we can only come to Meinigen once a year and then a visit to this restaurant is a must. The kitchen is fantastic, I've already tried several things there and everything tastes great. Since I travel a lot in India for work, I have a direct comparison. The food is very authentic. The Dal Makhani is the tastiest thing I have ever eaten. That's not how restaurants in India manage it. So if you are in Meinigen or the surrounding area, you should definitely make a detour there. We were there on Saturday and there was a buffet. Everything from vegetarian to various types of meat could be found there. Perfect for trying several things at the same time. The owners of the restaurant work in the service themselves and are very warm and friendly. Even when it's full, the owner likes to take the time to chat. It's a shame that we have to wait another year until we come back.

Plenty of food, comes quickly, great value for money. Typically Indian furnishings, the music is also appropriate. Friendly service, My chicken was very, very soft, you have to like it, fish was great.

Very nice and, above all, inexpensive Indian restaurant. Very freshly prepared food, even the vegetables are still really crunchy. This is usually not the case in other locations like this one. Absolutely to be recommended!

Our travel party was well received and treated to savory Currys and soups. The friendly service and patience with 6 musicians on tour coming in late deserves every accolade. And a return visit!

We ordered over 2 hours before and the woman at the phone told us, that it would take 45 minutes! What a bad service is that?!

In my opinion, there is the best food in Meiningen here. Have nothing to complain about. Price/performance is also okay

The meal was okay. I received a different drink than what I ordered. In general it was rather unclean and one or two repairs would have to be made.

Very tasty family-run Indian restaurant 😋 with a long history (20 years!!!) Cozy atmosphere and friendly service. Have eaten a la carte several times and recently eaten the delicious buffet (small but nice). The curries are a dream 👏🏻 Absolutely good price-performance ratio - I would even say that you can get high-quality Indian food made here for little money - deserved 5 stars 👍🏻

Wir haben wiederholt Essen liefern lassen. Es kam wieder eine Stunde später als versprochen. Teilweise anders als beschrieben, lauwarm, Fertigprodukte. Alles in allem wieder eine Enttäuschung.

Im Bombay kann man in gemütlicher Atmosphäre ein sehr reichhaltiges und vorzüglich schmeckendes Abendessen genießen. Besonders das Naan Brot hat es uns angetan. Der Service war bei unserem Besuch sehr gut, die Atmosphäre ruhig, nicht überfüllt. Man sieht dem Restaurant an, dass es schon seit zwei Jahrzehnten etabliert ist, dem Geschmack tut das aber keinen Abbruch. Wir kommen gern wieder.

Das Essen ist sehr zu empfehlen und das Buffet macht jeden satt!

Family atmosphere, very committed chef, friendly service. There are also delicious dishes on offer for vegetarians and vegans, which is rather the exception in the region.

The facility allows you to travel straight to India, even if it needs renovation here and there. The meal took a long time for us but that's just how it is sometimes. The soups are particularly recommended. The selection of dishes is huge, which can be overwhelming. The service is very friendly. Price/performance is great, especially with the lunch specials.

Have been in the restaurant off and on for several years. As always, the service is super friendly and you feel very comfortable! The food is simply good and always a very large portion, there is also a really large selection. The naan is the best thing I have ever eaten, I would come here for that alone! Sometimes it's unfortunately not that busy, but it's still really familiar. The place is also easy to reach. We really enjoy coming from time to time.

Bombay hat ein sehr schönes und gemütliches Ambiente, sehr im indischen Stil eingerichtet. Die Gerichte waren sehr lecker und das Preisleistungsverhältnis stimmt absolut und einpacken lassen kann man es sich auch. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend.

Immer wieder gleichbleibend gut! Wir gehen seit Jahren gerne hier her oder holen uns die Speisen ab, die immer frisch zubereitet und lecker sind! Weiter so!

Samstags 13.00 Uhr und das Lokal war menschenleer. Hier wird wahrscheinlich eher Abends mehr los sein. Der Wirt war sehr nett, das Essen kam nach nicht mal 10 Minuten. Es war ausgesprochen lecker und große Portionen. Davon haben wir zu Hause noch einmal essen können. Ein rundum schöner Aufenthalt. Wirklich zu empfehlen.

Sehr freundlich, Speisen wurden erklärt, es wurde immer wieder nachgefragt ob alles gut ist. Sehr lecker und großzügig Falls wir wieder hier Urlaub machen kommen wir gerne wieder

Grundsolides Essen, sehr lecker. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam. Preis Leistung ist voll in Ordnung. Leider einen Stern Abzug. Das Restaurant ist doch schon ziemlich in die Jahre gekommen. Es sind etliche Renovierungsarbeiten nötig. Ansonsten als Gesamtfazit. Es lohnt sich. Gerne jederzeit wieder.

Waren an einem Samstagabend im Aussenbereich. Es dauerte sehr lange bis uns jemand bediente. Auch danach, die Wartezeiten waren immer wieder ziemlich lang dafür dass nichts los war. Wir hatten 2 chicken Gerichte. Das Fleisch hatte keine Fasern und schmeckte extrem weich. Ich konnte da gar nicht ran. Hatte sowas noch nie. Egal ob bei einem günstigen oder teueren Inder, selbst in London nicht. Mir wurde gesagt, dass es ein ganz besonderes Fleisch sei. Mich erinnerte es an die Konsistenz von Surimi. Die Soßen waren solide aber keine Aromenbomben.

Naja..... frisch aufgewärmt statt frisch gekocht.... Das ist nur mein persönliches Fazit. Ich hatte etwas mit gegrillter Hühnerbrustfilet bestellt..... Für mich schmecken selbst die Chicken Nuggets von MC besser als das was ich hier bekam. Wir haben das Essen scharf bestellt.... auch davon war es weit entfernt. Das Bier war aber gut 👍

Enttäuschung Das Ambiente ist eine Mischung aus Klischeeinder, Kiosk und Stammkneipe. Bilder hängen schief, auf dem Holz der Billigheizungsverkleidung ist überall die Farbe stellenweise ab, X verschiedene Pflanztöpfe stehen rum, wo teilweise der Innentopf rausguckt und die Teelichtessenswärmer sind auch abgeranzt und mit Essensresten versifft. Während des Essens wird mit Freisprechen mit dem Telefonanbieter telefoniert und mitten beim Essen räumt die Familie einen Tisch aus dem Gastraum in den Barbereich, setzt sich gemütlich zusammen und dann wird der TV angemacht und alle starren beim Essen auf den TV und man darf schön mithören. Man tut also alles um Bahnhofs/Trinkhallen Atmosphäre zu schaffen. Die üblichen Soßen, die man normalerweise ohne Aufforderung bekommt, bekam man nur auf Nachfrage. Sie bestanden, nicht wie üblich aus Joghurt, sondern auf Majo und Ketchup. Ekelhaft. Man wurde auch nicht gefragt, ob man noch Brot haben möchte. Das Hauptgericht war annnehmbar. Es wundert mich nicht, dass keine Gäste da waren. NIE WIEDER!!

Service ist eine Katastrophe…, Bedienung scheint erst freundlich, die ersten Getränke und die Speisekarte nach ca . 30 min, dann das Essen unvollständig serviert, zur Nachfrage muss man selber in die Küche, später war keine Kartenzahlung möglich…. Aber das Essen war gut, aber nicht überdurchschnittlich.

Das etwas urige Restaurant bietet viel. Die schmackhaften Speisen werden individuell zubereitet, allerdings sind die Portionen fast zu gross bemessen. Die Bedienung ist aufmerksam, auf spezielle Wünsche geht man gern ein.

Wir sind das 5. mal im Bombay essen. Es war immer sehr lecker und ist wie das Essen auf unseren Reisen in Indien. Sehr freundliche und herzliche Bedienung.
