The food was very good, but you don't get a crowd. We were full, although we were initially unsure. Perhaps a little Naam could have been left on the tables.

Booked a table at the evening opening time (5:30 p.m.) for Mother's Day. We were offered two tables to choose from with a window view of the sandy street. If you're easily distracted, you shouldn't sit here. The hustle and bustle of the main street quickly distracts from the restaurant experience 😅 Whether it was the day or the time; Since it was our first visit, I have no comparison; but the food was served quickly. (Approximately 20 minutes after ordering) One negative point: The seating space, directly at the window, is very cramped because of the large window sill. I kept hitting my arm against it. With three main courses, a rice side dish, two bread baskets, two small gravy boats, plates, cutlery and drinks, the table was just enough. Compared to other Indian restaurants we have already visited, the taste is good. All three of us felt that the tandoori seasoning tasted a little more subtle. The Galic Naan was missing a small pinch of salt. The malai was just right. (Chicken tip for those sensitive to spices!) The service is very friendly and present. We were asked about our well-being, cleared away in between and asked for more drinks. Information about acoustics for the hearing impaired: With a visit time of about an hour, the restaurant filled up very quickly. It became increasingly difficult for me (with slight hearing loss) to take part in our table conversation.

Like in India, very tasty authentic food! A greeting to the kitchen, the service staff were also attentive and friendly. Thanks to the entire team!

We love the food there. Simply delicious. Service is sometimes a bit slow, depends on who is there.... Ambiance is nice, in places it could do with a bit of renovation.

The decor of the restaurant is very pleasant, the food is delicious and beautifully served, and the atmosphere is charming. The only thing I suggest is to do something about the smell that remains on clothes.

My first contact with Indian cuisine was not a recipe from the internet that I tried myself. Portions are plentiful and tasty, and the price is also completely reasonable. The plus point was that Indians also go out to eat there, which to me suggests that the food is authentic. Absolute recommendation.

My girlfriend and I went to Swagat for the first time today and were thrilled by the delicious and tasty food. Great map in which all guests can find what they are looking for! The service was reserved and polite. A delicious mango lassi rounded off the taste experience. We will come back and recommend the restaurant 100 percent.

We had reserved a table for two people and were shown straight to our table. The waiter asked if anyone else would be joining us as we had been given a table for 4 people. We said no and the waiter removed the extra dishes and cutlery (the table was set for 4 people) After 60 (!) minutes we were asked if we wanted to drink something... They assumed that someone else would come! That was already clarified beforehand and even if it was, you could still serve something to drink. Well... ordered drinks... They came promptly. Unfortunately the wrong ones... The error was then immediately corrected by the waiter and the food was finally ordered after 1 hour 15 meters. After another 30 minutes the food was there... Wrong again! The service was really as bad as I have ever experienced. Listless... It was the first time in the restaurant and probably the last time. It's a real shame because the food was really excellent!

Swagat is by far the best Indian restaurant I have ever been to - and I have tried numerous restaurants around the world. But nothing has ever excited me as much as this one. In fact, I even travel 200 kilometers just to be able to enjoy the incomparable food here in Siegen. Each dish is a true masterpiece, perfectly seasoned and full of authenticity. You can feel the passion and dedication that goes into every preparation. If you love Indian food or are simply looking for a top-class culinary experience, you should definitely visit Swagat. It surpasses anything I've experienced so far - a real pleasure at the highest level!

The BEST Indian Restaurant I've ever been to!! From the first time we tried it, it became our go-to Indian and even though we tried others, nothing and no one comes close to this food! We feel totally at home there, the staff is always friendly, everything is clean and there is a nice atmosphere. My favorite is the Jalfrezi dish with chicken. We know exactly what we can look forward to every time. I hope this Indian lasts forever. 1000/5⭐️

A very nice Indian style restaurant with excellent cuisine. The food is presented very aesthetically so that the saying “the eye is there” definitely applies here. Special requests are fulfilled without any problems and there is generally a very friendly atmosphere. The staff is very accommodating and the food is always served hot and quickly. We are now regular guests. A recommendation can definitely be given.

Too expensive for my taste! Basically the taste is ok. But for a bit of cream spinach sauce with 5 small pieces of chicken breast in it 14.90 as a "discounted" lunch menu is too expensive. And the drink prices, a beer (Krombacher, nothing special) 0.4 for 4.90. That's way over the top!

First of all - food TOP! There was no valid liquor license today, so non-alcoholic drinks, not a problem. Card payment wasn't possible either - annoying. But waiting 1 1/2 hours for a meal for 4 people was absolutely too long.

Simply 12/10! If you don't know this Indian, you've definitely missed something. Incredibly delicious, very tender chicken served with a perfectly flavored sauce/curry.

Basically the restaurant is OK. However, I paid around €100 for my family of three. That's 5% of my monthly income. I can only afford this in the future if I have received holiday pay.😉 Oh yes, maybe I should add to the 3 star rating of the food that I have been to India several times...🙏

A good indian experience in a medium town like Siegen

Super tasty Indian! We were here for lunch and both loved it. The interior design is very tasteful, the service is very friendly and quick. But the best thing was the food. Super tasty naan with honey and raisins for the starter and lamb korma and chicken palak for the main course. Really recommended. The only thing a bit noisy is the location right on the main street.

Unfortunately, we were all very disappointed with our evening at Swagat. On the one hand, we had to wait over 30 minutes until we were served and asked for drinks. On the other hand, we waited a very long time for our food. The taste of the food was okay. Unfortunately, despite the spiciness stated on the menu, it wasn't spicy. The chili oil that was added later didn't bring the desired typical Indian spiciness...and the portions aren't really big. So the conclusion is rather neutral, because ultimately the price-performance ratio was simply not right. We then passed on the feedback when paying, but were put off more than taken seriously. A pity.

During our short vacation we ate there twice because we really enjoyed it and the staff was damn friendly, especially on the last evening. Can only be recommended, the best Indian food we have had so far. If we are in Siegen again we will definitely come back.

Sehr leckeres Essen. Personal freundlich. Restaurant hell und sauber mit angenehmen Ambiente.

Das Ambiente im Restaurant hat uns gut gefallen. Unser Essen war auch schmackhaft, hätte aber von den Portionen mehr sein können. Mein Sohn ist nicht satt geworden. Die Getränke waren recht teuer. Für drei Hauptgerichte und drei Getränke haben wir über 60 Euro bezahlt.

Die Soße war nicht gut und Ich finde alles viel zu teuer für 2 Personen hat 64 Euro gekostet.

Das Essen war so scharf, dass ich nur einen kleinen Teil essen konnte. Danach brannte mein Mund noch lange Zeit. Meinem Mann ging es ähnlich. Selbst das Kindergericht war leicht scharf. In der Karte war bei unseren Gerichten kein Hinweis darauf zu finden. Vor langer Zeit haben wir hier schon einmal eine ähnliche Erfahrung gemacht. Das war jetzt das letzte Mal, dass wir dort etwas essen bzw. bestellen, denn dieses Essen war wirklich ungenießbar.

Ich war das erste Mal in einem indischen Restaurant, Bedienung war okay, Das Ambiente hätte auch eine Kneipe beziehungsweise Dönerladen sein können. Nun bin ich mir sicher, dass ich nie wieder ein indisches Restaurant betreten werde. Zu Swagat kann ich nur sagen, Preisleistung, viel zu teuer für das, was man bekommt! Geschmacklich überhaupt nicht mein Fall. Leider habe ich kein Vergleich um darüber zu urteilen, ob es immer so schmeckt.

Leckeres Essen, übersichtliche Karte, freundliches Personal und faire Preise. Kann ich nur empfehlen.

Sehr lecker. Service nett und freundlich. Hauptgericht Madrasi Curry sollte laut Karte max scharf sein 3 Chili Symbole. Für mich der sehr scharf essen kann und Schärfe liebt, war es eher pikant. Hatte dann nach etwas scharfen zum nachwürzen gefragt, leider wurde es vom Service zunächst vergessen musste erneut nachfragen. Dann erhielt ich eine rote Chilipaste, die sowas von mega genial scharf war. Das Leute, war genau das, was ich unter scharf verstehe. Wenn sich ein leichter Schweißfilm auf der Stirn bildet. Geil 💯👌🏻

Authentische indische Küche. Sehr lecker, freundliches Personal, wir werden immer wieder kommen. Wir essen gerne Hähnchen, aber auch vegetarisch. Das Ambiente ist gemütlich. Der Parkplatz wurde vergrößert.

Die haben hier den "Swag". Sehr leckere indische Gerichte die einfach perfekt abgeschmeckt worden sind. Das Hauseigene Curry (mit Chicken) ist sowas von Lecker - klare Empfehlung! Auch das Naan-Brot mit Knoblauch ist lecker. Das Service-Personal is sehr sehr freundlich und immer aufmerksam. Klare Empfehlung wenn man indisch essen gehen will!

Ich bin absolut begeistert, das Essen ist ein Traum das Personal ist sehr zuvorkommend und das Ambiente ist sehr Ansprechend

Wir waren zum nun zum 2 mal hier. Für einen Sonntag nicht viel los. Essen wieder sehr gut. Palak Chicken mein Lieblingsgericht. Mango Lassi immer wieder lecker und erfrischend, gehört für mich dazu. Parken direkt am Restaurant möglich. Kleiner Hund war auch kein Problem. Wir werden gerne wiederkommen.

Ich war hier mit einem Freund essen. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit, wirklich sehr gut! Wir haben gemischte Pakora und zweierlei Brote samt Soßen als Vorspeise gegessen, danach noch zwei Currys. Auch hier war alles sehr sehr gut! In der Karte steht an den Gerichten, wie scharf diese sind. Aber auch die ganz scharfen sind absolut nicht übertrieben. Ich hätte mir das Madrasi Curry sogar noch schärfer gewünscht, aber kann auch gut verstehen, warum es nicht wirklich krass war (manch deutscher Gaumen wäre da vermutlich schon gut ins schwitzen gekommen). Auch die Eistees kann ich mehr als empfehlen! Definitiv nicht das letzte Mal, dass wir hier gegessen haben! Bestellt unbedingt die Kartoffel-Pakora!

Für uns der beste Inder in Siegen! Sehr authentische und vielfältige Gerichte. Auf Wunsch werden alle Gerichte mit weniger oder ganz ohne Schärfe zubereitet. Auch ist es möglich, nahezu jedes Gericht in vegetarisch zu bestellen. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, ohne ein Gefühl von Aufdringlichkeit zu bekommen. Wir waren nun schon ein paar Mal dort und werden definitiv wiederkommen!

Leckeres indisches Essen mitten in Siegen. Super Lage, das Ambiente ist auch sehr modern und passt zum Restaurant. Das Essen war wirklich sehr lecker, alles wird frisch gekocht. Wir kommen sehr gerne wieder ins Swagat.

Ein sehr schönes und sauberes Restaurant. Tolles Ambiente, aber was am wichtigsten ist, Gaaanz tolles Essen, sehr lecker und wärmstes weiter zu empfehlen. Das ist auch der Grund für diese Bewertung.

Die Bedienung ist freundlich. Das Menü ist vielfältig. Das Essen hat uns sehr gefallen (1 Curry, 1 Gemüse Grillteller). Ich kann nicht beurteilen wie „authentisch“ das Essen ist, aber wir fanden alles sehr lecker.

Wir waren das erste Mal da und waren sehr zufrieden. Sehr nette Bedienung und echt lecker. Schöne Einrichtung und nette Atmosphäre.

Neues traditionelles indisches Restaurant. Die Dekoration ist eine Mischung von Modernität und traditionellen Gegenständen. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und mit Stil. Die Küche bleibt traditionell aber mit einem modernen Flair. Besonders zu empfehlen: Hähnchen Tikka Masala (sehr zart, schön würzig aber trotzdem sahnig im Mund), Hähnchen Haryali aus dem Tandoori-Ofen (mit frischer Minze und Koriander). Als Vorspeisen haben wir Papadam und Garlic-Nam bestellt: die drei Chutneys, die dazu angeboten waren, waren sehr frisch und Spitzenklasse (besonders die mit Minze). Als Dessert, Mango-creme und Mango-lassies: ein Traum. Viele vegetarische Speisen werden angeboten.

Es. Ist. So. Cremig. Cremig!!!! Wir lieben es, uns dort etwas zu bestellen und abzuholen. Großer Standortvorteil: Die Parkmöglichkeiten auf dem benachbarten Discounterparkplatz!

In Zeiten von Corona ein Restaurant zum ersten Mal zu besuchen, gibt sicherlich noch einmal einen anderen Eindruck als im "Regelbetrieb". Nichtsdestotrotz hat es uns bei Swagat gut gefallen. Jeder zweite Tisch war zur Einhaltung der Abstandsregeln gesperrt (allerdings optisch sehr nett, indem die Tische einfach mit Deko belegt wurden), neben uns waren abends um 19:00 vielleicht noch 4 oder 5 weitere Tische belegt. Der Service war schnell und aufmerksam und so standen Getränke und Speisen schnell auf dem Tisch. Wir haben Butter Chicken und Palak Paneer bestellt und dann jeweils geteilt. Beides hat uns gut geschmeckt und war angenehm gewürzt, in Kombination besonders lecker. Wir kommen sicher wieder!

Zufällig rein gegangen und herrlich gegessen. Garnelen Suppe der Extra Klasse, Tandoori mix Grill super lecker. Bis jetzt immer nach Bergisch-Gladbach oder Köln gefahren, wir werden hier öfters essen. Sitzt net... passt einfach alles, und die Küche ist sehr lecker. War erstaunt das am Freitagabend nur 75% besetzt war, saßen alle bei billige Sushi vom Tablet

Zu Mittag im Swagat. Das Mittagsmenu ist relativ preiswert, die Getränke entsprechend überteuert. Der Geschmack: sehr fade (vegetarisch bestellt) und sehr eingedeutscht. Frisch wäre zudem anders. Die Grundsoße dient offenbar für alle (vegetarischen) Mittagsgerichte. Die Vorspeise ("Tomatensuppe") muss ich nicht haben und schmeckt nach Dosensuppe mit veganem Fett. Die Hauptspeise ("Gemüse-Curry") ist verkocht, nicht frisch zubereitet. Die Nachspeise ("Mango-Creme") schmeckt sehr süß und nicht frisch, sondern nach Fertigprodukt mit Kokos und Sirup gepimpt. Das alles mag daran liegen, dass Mittags kaum Betrieb herrscht, so dass der Aufwand ansonsten zu hoch ist: 3 Tische sind nur belegt als wir da sind. Schade, aber das war nichts für mich. Aber bei dem günstigen Mittags-Menu-Preis darf auch nicht mehr erwartet werden. Der Service ist bemüht.

Bis wir etwas von dem leckeren Curry bestellen konnten hatte es leider zwischen 30-45 min gedauert. Allgemein war vom Service nur zur Bestellung und Bezahlung eine Anwesenheit erkennbar. Die Gerichte an sich waren sehr gut. Leider war meines Erachtens nach das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis im Gegensatz zu anderen Bewertung nicht angemessen. Der Fokus sollte mehr auf dem Curry liegen und nicht auf günstig und einfach herzustellenden Reis.

Wir waren Sonntagsmittags hier essen. Das Preis Leistungsverhältnis ist gut und der Service ist freundlich. Restaurant stilvoll eingerichtet. Unsere Tochter war anfangs skeptisch und anschließend begeistert. Wir kommen sicher wieder.
