Indian Curry House Vegane- & Indisches Spezialitäten in Leipzig

Worst experience ever. Being first time in Leipzig, we had searched for an Indian Restaurant and found out this near by. We had then ordered Chicken Kuruma(with their best recommendation), Lamb Biriyani, and Chappathi to have with Kuruma. And only the chappathi(made out of Maida) was okay. Kuruma though quality wise and quantity wise zero. Tasted just blank. Biriyani though without any particular flavours or side dishes. When we asked atleast for a raita, we were even charged another 3,5€ extra. Don’t get fooled by yourself seeing the atmosphere inside. I won‘t recommend or visit this place again.

Nemasté 🙏🏻 I found myself in this Indian House with a cozy and warm atmosphere. Kitchen staff made a delicious dinner with Aloo Gobhi with really tasty Indian flavours. I do recommend to come and enjoy small, but very friendly Indian House. Blessings with love and light to all ❤️

Our sauces had no flavor; Butter Chicken and Korma Chicken with far too little chicken. Absolutely no recommendation, even if it was relatively inexpensive. It was also a shame that there was no Indian music playing in the background.

Indian food in Germany is always a compromise, but here it was incredibly bland and would easily pass for hospital food

Simple, comparatively cheap food, somewhat snack bar atmosphere

Poor restaurant. The ventilation does not work, the smell is unpleasant. The food was completely average and quite expensive. Service not interested. I don't recommend :(

I am sorry to say that I was disappointed with this restaurant. I didn’t expect a lot but the food was bland and the service was even blander.

The environment is fine, but the food not so great. We have asked if the food was spicy and the employee just replied "no spicy". One dish we could not eat, was not tasty and.. spicy. Smilly employees when you are at the door, bored when you leave. There is better indian restaurants in town.

The chicken curry is really good. You can also recommend the whiskey

Absolutamente horrible sin absolutamente ningún sabor y la comida y el servicio era horrible. Después de haber vivido en la India durante 8 años estoy familiarizado con lo que un pollo de mantequilla debe saber y esta versión no tiene absolutamente ningún sabor.

Absolutely one of the worst Indian restaurants I’ve ever been to in my life; having lived in India for 8 years and having lived in London for 12 years I’m well experienced in what a butter chicken should taste like. My food was absolutely appalling!

The food was tasty, but could have been a little more. In contrast to the other Indian restaurants I know, the rice here is placed directly on the plate instead of in a separate container in the middle of the table.

Unfortunately, hunger drove us to this “restaurant”. 1. The food selection was very large (good). 2. The prices seemed fair (good) to us. 3. Service wasn't overly friendly or we didn't get the feeling that they were happy to welcome guests, but otherwise we were served. (satisfactory). 4. The meal was served with a slice of cucumber, a lettuce leaf and a slice of tomato, cost €10.90 and was hardly seasoned, which will be relevant in a moment. Because now comes the kicker: About 20-30 minutes after eating, both my wife and I had extreme gastrointestinal problems, to put it elegantly!!! The rest of the day (we ate at 1 p.m.) we both still had latent nausea and stomach pains. So it is not recommended!

The worst Indian restaurant for ever. Frozen vegetables and so tastless. The waitress asked every minute are we ready to order and then chech took a long time.

Nearly identical to the Indian palace place across the street, but cheaper. Relatively bland food compared to Indian places in the US, but judging from others talking nearby still too spicy for many of their local customers.

We got what we ordered. The taste wasn't great. It tasted either spicy or watery colored with curry. That was an attempt.

The price-performance ratio is completely fine here. There is seating outside under large umbrellas in the pedestrian zone. We got what we ordered. We were equally satisfied with the taste.

The restaurant has a wide selection of dishes, but unfortunately we got the wrong dish twice. The so-called Indian Chabati bread, which is sold here with a surcharge for garlic for €0.30, actually came without garlic. It is also important to mention that this is not a traditional Indian Chabati bread, but rather resembles a tortilla wrap that could come from Edeka, Rewe, etc. The service was also very poor, not very friendly and not good care. The cutlery was just sort of put there and the food wasn't presented in beautiful bowls like you're usually used to in Indian restaurants, but was just simply and carelessly arranged on a plate. We did not receive the food we ordered and customer service expectations were not met. The ambience and location were satisfactory. The prices, however, were good. Lots of vegetarian and vegan choices, which was surprisingly notable.

Please do not eat here!! We all had Diarrhea after eating here! Samosas were cold in the middle and food was very mediocre.

Food was pretty ok. It arrived maybe not five minutes after we had ordered. Prices of the food itself are really ok. Service isn't the best but honestly that can be neglected. The thing that really pissed me off is the fact that I paid 4€ for a 0.4l cup of tap water with a slice of lemon. 4 f***ing euros. 4. We also ordered a mango lasi(which was good) for the same price. In what universe does a glass of tap water cost the same as mango lasi. 4€?????????????? 4????????? NO. JUST NO. I don't care that it's a thing in Germany but 4 euros is unjustifiable.

Samoa's were cold in the middle. Watery and tastless main meal. Spice level was not "hot". Wont be coming back.

The quality of the food was not convincing. Frozen vegetables in curry sauce, dry rice, large drink instead of the small drink ordered.

Authentic food, very tasty. Fast service, fast food. If you are very hungry, please order more than just one dish. Indian music alone is very tiring, but it's probably part of it.

The taste of the food was okay, even though I know it much better. The portion size was ok. However, the service is really bad here. I was ignored for ages because the waiter/cook was playing on his cell phone the whole time. After I asked whether I was being served or had to order at the counter, he came out: listless and unfriendly. Wouldn't eat here again

I ordered online. The chicken pakora was nothing special but OK. I couldn't eat the chapati as it was. It looked burnt, tasted burnt and smelled like cigarette ash. For my main course I had butter chicken. It was very bland and had no particular taste. Like I just eat cooked rice. Maybe I got a bad batch. But it's a shame.

Large portions, delicious food, nice staff. The Indian music is pretty annoying, but it's part of the atmosphere. Open kitchen, you could watch the preparation directly. Overall I can only deduct two points. Service could ask more often if you would like anything else. The sanitary facilities could use some renovation.

You get what you pay for, but still slightly overpriced in comparison with other indian restaurants. The food is very bland and watery.

Friendly staff and mostly tasty food. The Chicken mango was nice but I didn't enjoy the garlic chapati (naan), which was basically a regular chapati drenched in garlic oil.

Leckeres und preisgünstiges indisches Essen mit Sitzplatzgeleiteten unter Sonnenschirmen im Freien. Prompte und höfliche Bedienung. Empfehlenswert!

Stopped for a late afternoon lunch. There is another Indian restaurant nearby so it was hard to decide and the larger crowd here made the decision for us (figured larger crowd meant locals knew something). Service was very good and the manager was very attentive to our and the surrounding guests needs. The food was good but not great. The meal was priced fairly for a lunch. I would come back here.

Don't sit there! The food was ok but the dishes are small and cheap. But the service was the worst! They gave me large lassi instead of small that I ordered and they charged 3.9 eu for a glass of water! Not a bottle, just a plain water! It's almost a teft! I just Couldn't believe it! I don't recommend it to anyone.

Bei der Bestellung die Nummer angesagt, der Kellner schien das Gericht beim Namen zu wiederholen aber offensichtlich nicht die richtige Nummer zuordnen zu können. Habe nämlich dann ein anderes Gericht bekommen als bestellt. Schade, dann lieber die Nummer notieren als zu glauben, dass man die Namen dazu kennt. Leider fiel mir dies erst später auf, sodass ich das Essen dann auch nicht mehr zurück geben wollte. Geschmacklich war es ok. Der Salat war etwas lieblos und eher dürftig.

Lieblos zubereitetes Essen, geschmacklich unspektakulär. Da bin ich von anderen indischen Restaurants deutlich mehr gewohnt.

Haben vorab reserviert, was aber gar nicht nötig war, da es dort nicht sonderlich voll war bzw. genug Plätze zur Verfügung stehen. Das Essen war sehr lecker, es gab große Portionen und rein vom Preis her ist alles super erschwinglich. Solides Restaurant für alle, die sich an der „Imbiss“ Atmosphäre nicht stören.

Nettes, einfaches Ambiente. Wir haben drinnen gegessen. Die Suppe war lecker, hätte aber etwas mehr als eine kleine Tasse sein dürfen. Das Hauptgericht war OK. Der typische indische Kick fehlte uns aber leider. Die auf dem Teller beigelegten Eisbergsalatblätter waren braun. Sowas geht garnicht. Positiv, nach meiner Reklamation gab es einen Dessertteller voll mit frischem, knackigem Eisbergsalat.

Essen war sehr gut, der Koch bereitet alles frisch zu. Draußen vor dem Restaurant sitzt man ein ewig wie auf dem Servierteller, drinnen jedoch ist es sehr gemütlich. Der Service war freundlich und schnell.

Ein richtig schönes Restaurant mit tollem Essen und freundlicher Atmosphäre. Die Gerichte sind überraschend günstig, trotz guter Portionen und frischen Zutaten. Große Empfehlung für die veganen Samosas! Gerne wieder.

we were a really big group of 20 people and the staff was extremely kind and really made an effort. The drinks and food arrived quickly and was very tasty and the prices are fair. there are also lots of vegetarian and vegan options. over all it was a very nice experience and i would really recommend this restaurant:)

Ein wenig enttäuschend und nicht sehr lecker :/ vielleicht ein schlechter Tag , nochmal würde ich es allerdings nicht besuchen.

A total let down. The paneer butter masala was nothing close to paneer butter masala. The veggies used for the Sabzi Vindaloo and biryani were frozen veggies which lacked any taste. The rice And the gravy was served in the same plate. The mango lassi was pretty good. Overall was a very disappointing experience!

Gutes Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis. Es ist kein Gourmetrestaurant, aber ein solider und sehr leckerer Imbiss für indisches Essen :)

Ich habe noch nie so schlecht indisch gegessen, alle waren sehr enttäuscht. Alle Essen waren lieblos angerichtet, alles auf einem Teller. Zudem hat es keinem geschmeckt.

Okay, das Essen schmeckte nach indischen Gewürzen und war heiß, ich mußte auch nicht lange auf mein Essen warten , das war es aber auch schon. Ich hätte schon stutzig werden sollen, daß hier außer mir nur noch 2 weitere Gäste anwesend waren. Das Essen wurde nicht frisch gekocht, eher nur erwärmt ( man kann dem "Koch" teilweise zuschauen). Ein Geschmackserlebnis war das Essen nicht ( das Essen "sprach" die halbe Nacht mit mir). Das Mangolassi war gut. Auch wenn die Bedienung höflich und freundlich war, kann ich das Lokal nicht weiter empfehlen. Die Einrichtung ist recht lieblos und eher wie ein Schnellimbiss eingerichtet. Da gibt es weitaus bessere indische Lokale in Leipzig !

Eine riesige Speisenauswahl,lecker zubereitet und geschmackvoll. Der Service ist ganz toll.

Man kann hier gut für, wenig Geld, indische Speisen zu sich nehmen. Es ist keine gehobene Küche, aber eine solide Küche, welche geschmacklich wirklich lecker ist. Das Personal war bei meinen Besuchen immer nett und zuvorkommend.

Schmeckt garnicht so gut und ist schon teuer und die sparen auch mit dem fleisch also ich hatte nur 4 fleischwürfel in meinem gericht

The food is tasty and and worth the price in quality and quantity both compared to other Indian restaurants I have visited so far.

Man sitzt schön mitten in der Stadt nahe der Kirche. Das Essen schmeckt sehr gut, jedoch werden die Portionen immer kleiner und der Preis steigt ständig. Daher zwei Punkte Abzug!

Auf den ersten Blick wirkt alles sehr nett und auch die Bedienung ist freundlich, aber Essen und Anmutung haben mehr Kantinen-Charakter.
