Klasse Restaurant mit sehr authentischem indischen Essen. Immer wieder ein Besuch wert

Nach einigen Jahren als Stammkunde, heute doch sehr enttäuscht rausgegangen. Nach etwas längerer Zeit haben wir uns sehr auf den Besuch und das Essen gefreut. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich, das Essen war schnell fertig (ungewöhnlich hier war nichts los) die Enttäuschung war schon sehr gross das geliebte Brot war kalt. Warm noch dampfend schmeckt es wirklich super. So war es eine Enttäuschung. Dann ist ein zweiter Mitarbeiter in den Laden gekommen, mekerte die Mitarbeiterin gleich an. Setzte sich an einen Tisch und war nur am telefonieren. Ich als Kunde wäre da zum telefonieren rausgegangen. Sorry, das hat den Besuch nochmal abgewertet. Nach dieser Situation haben wir das Brot auch nicht reklamiert. Sind dann doch enttäuscht gegangen. Nun werden die Mitbewerber getestet. Ältere Bewertung: Bin schon oft hier gewesen .....und es war jedes Mal ein kulinarisches Erlebnis. Ich liebe diese Vielfalt an Gewürzen. Der Chef ist so nett und freundlich. Wir waren auch 1x sehr spät da (kurz vor Feierabend) .....wir haben nett gefragt...ob wir noch etwas bekommen würden. Die Mitarbeiterin war sehr freundlich und hat uns einen Tisch angeboten. Wir haben aus auch entschuldigt, dass es so spät geworden ist.....und.....der Chef war wirklich so toll, höflich und freundlich. Das war wie ein Besuch bei Freunden. Das Essen war super, die Mitarbeiter haben auch gefragt ob wir noch etwas benötigen....ob alles gut ist....perfekter Service und das so kurz vor Feierabend. Lieben Dank an das tolle Team.

Wir waren letzte Woche schon mit der Familie hier und hatten eine wirklich tolle Erfahrung. Die Atmosphäre war sehr angenehm und das Essen hat uns so gut geschmeckt, dass wir den Geschmack einfach vermisst haben deshalb sind wir heute nochmal gekommen…… Heute war, glaube ich, auch der junge Besitzer selbst vor Ort, der uns mit außergewöhnlicher Gastfreundschaft empfangen hat… Die Hospitality in diesem Restaurant, besonders vom Besitzer, ist wirklich unschlagbar. Absolut empfehlenswert!

Das Essen hat gut geschmeckt, doch der Service wirkte un hygienisch ,die Art wie serviert wurde als wäre man am Bahnhof. Und ausserdem wurde eine deutlich benutze Servicette zur meinen besteck gefaltet ,das war total ecklig.

Super Qualität, sehr netter Service das Nann Brot die Vorspeisen Speisen einfach ein Traum. Ich kann nur sagen war volltreffer mein Gaumen Geschmack immer wieder gerne. Somit geht meine Empfehlung klar raus an die indisches Essen lieben.

Wir waren das erste Mal hier, auf der Rückreise aus dem Harz. Wir waren mal neugierig 😉 Mitten in Hildesheim, gut zu finden, befindet sich das wirklich passend schön eingerichtete India Haus. Das Essen ist fantastisch, immer frisch und von den Gewürzen her sehr lecker. Allerdings finde ich "pikant" eher schon "scharf" 🌶️😉 Ambiente und der Service sind sehr zu loben. Wir durften auch den absolut netten Chef kennenlernen, der uns einen kleinen Eindruck der India Haus Geschichte näher brachte. Insgesamt also eine absolute Empfehlung von uns 😋⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐🤩

Sehr gutes indisches Restaurant. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Ich würde Ihnen empfehlen zu jedem Gericht das traditionelle Brot Bhatura zu probieren.

Als Inder muss ich sagen, dass dies das schlechteste indische Restaurant ist, in dem ich je in Deutschland gegessen habe. Es wirkt wie ein gängiger Betrug in der EU: Restaurants werden als indisch bezeichnet, aber keines der Gerichte ist authentisch oder entspricht auch nur meinen Maßstäben indischer Küche. Es verdient nicht einmal einen Stern, hat aber trotzdem eine Bewertung von 4,6. Ehrlich gesagt, wenn man wirklich indisches Essen erleben möchte, ist man hier falsch. Das Naan war nicht heiß, nicht einmal weich, es war buchstäblich ein Keks, es fühlte sich an, als würde man in ein Stück Kreide beißen. Keine Sorge, es wird nur noch schlimmer. Das Bhatura, das sie servierten, war das Schlimmste, was sie hatten – sie hatten zwei Gerichte miteinander kombiniert (den Teig für Dosa und Weizenmehl). Das Essen ist überteuert und die Fahrt dorthin lohnt sich nicht einmal, geschweige denn das Essen. Oh mein Gott, das Madras-Curry schmeckte überhaupt nicht nach Madras (und ich komme aus Madras!), und ich frage mich immer noch, ob das Fleisch darin Paneer oder Hühnchen war. Die Suppe war eigentlich gar keine richtige Suppe, sondern nur ein Rest Curry aus der Zeit, als meine Oma geboren wurde. Die Fleischplatte war so schlecht, dass sie völlig ungewürzt war und nur Farbe hatte. Ich konnte das Fleisch nicht einmal am Geschmack erkennen, selbst wenn ich die Augen geschlossen hätte. Ehrlich gesagt, hatte ich Angst, jeden Bissen zu essen, also habe ich, wie jeder vernünftige Mensch es tun würde, nur probiert. Ich verstehe immer noch nicht, wie Inder diesem Essen 5 Sterne geben können. Und an alle Inder, die 5 Sterne vergeben haben: Ihr seid so irreführend und habt mein Vertrauen verloren. Probiert doch mal richtiges indisches Essen! Und an alle Nicht-Inder: Bitte nehmt das nicht als Maßstab für indisches Essen – echtes indisches Essen ist um Welten besser!

Ich war heute mit meinem Vater das erste mal hier essen und ich bin sehr zufrieden, das Essen und die Getränke waren sehr zufriedenstellend. Auch die Essens Portionen sind sehr groß,man wird hier definitiv satt. Auch das Restaurant hat eine sehr schöne Atmosphäre und die Bedienung war immer freundlich. Gerne besuche ich dieses Restaurant wieder.

Wir sind heute aus Celle nach Hildesheim gekommen und haben uns entschieden, das India Haus auszuprobieren – und was für eine tolle Erfahrung das war! Das Essen war einfach unglaublich lecker, voller Geschmack und perfekt zubereitet. Man hat jeden Bissen wirklich genossen. Auch der Service war top – super freundlich und aufmerksam. Wir sind echt froh, dass wir hierher gekommen sind. Wenn wir wieder in Hildesheim sind wissen wir definitiv wohin wir gehen. Das India Haus ist ab jetzt unsere erste Wahl!

Der Service ist gut, das Essen aber nicht lecker. Ich sage das als Inder: Es ist kein authentisches indisches Essen, sondern eher eine Mischung aus allem Möglichen. Selbst die Spezialität des Küchenchefs ist nicht zu empfehlen. Die Samosas sind nicht frisch, sondern scheinen tiefgefroren und einfach so zubereitet worden zu sein. Auch die Bhature wirken nicht frisch und wurden in Öl zubereitet, das immer wieder verwendet wird. Ich kann das Essen hier überhaupt nicht empfehlen. Tut mir leid!

Immer wieder gern - auch zum Mitnehmen!

Ich war eigentlich öfter hier im India Haus, aber nachdem ich in anderen Städten in Deutschland richtig gutes indisches Essen probiert habe, schmeckt es mir hier einfach nicht mehr. Das hat für mich nichts mehr mit authentischer indischer Küche zu tun. Irgendwie fehlt der echte Geschmack und schmeckt nichts wie indisch. Ich werde hier definitiv nicht mehr essen gehen.

Wir waren heute im India Haus in Hildesheim und sind absolut begeistert! Das Essen war richtig lecker – frisch, aromatisch und perfekt gewürzt. Uns hat es allen sehr gut geschmeckt. Die Bedienung war auch super: freundlich, aufmerksam und sehr zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns direkt wohlgefühlt. Wir können das Restaurant nur weiterempfehlen und kommen auf jeden Fall wieder!😀

Ein perfekter Abend mit leckerem Essen

Sekr leckeres Essen, für indische Küche aber sehr mild gewürzt. Ich hatte extra das einzige Gericht bestellt das mit dem Attribut "scharf" auf der Karte stand, ich würde es aber eher als pikant bezeichnen. Die Getränke haben sehr lange gebraucht. Beim Tee lag es daran dass er frisch zubereitet wurde, den Kirschsaft hatte die Bedienung wohl vergessen. Kostenpflichtige Parkplätze gibt's im Parkhaus in der Nähe.

Wir waren zum 1.Mal auf einem sehr gut besuchten Samstag Abend hier essen und sehr zufrieden. Das Ambiente lädt zum Verweilen ein, das gesamte Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend, hier ist der Gast noch König. Die Speisen waren frisch zubereitet und sehr lecker, das Brot war mega!Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und kommen sehr gerne wieder!

We come here regularly and can wholeheartedly recommend a visit. The food and service are very good.

So disappointing! A year ago, this was a top spot. Today: Frozen spinach with Indian spices and cold paneer, packaged papadums (also cold), and a wait of over an hour – very, very annoying. We were given makeshift tables in the basement near the restrooms in rather unpleasant lighting. The reason given: There was a large group, which is why everything was taking so long. Why even take reservations if you don't have the capacity? Very disappointed. We wanted to end our wedding anniversary with a nice meal. The flatbread is delicious, and the waitress is very friendly.

The restaurant has a very pleasant atmosphere, the service is attentive and friendly – ​​you immediately feel welcome. I especially want to highlight the Butter Chicken: incredibly tender meat, a wonderfully creamy sauce, and perfectly balanced spices. You can taste the experience and love that goes into cooking. For me, it's the best Butter Chicken around! I will definitely be back. Highly recommended!

The service was quick and very attentive. The staff always seemed helpful and friendly. The food arrived relatively quickly and was exceptionally delicious. It's a nice touch that there's always plenty of rice and bathura (deep-fried flatbread) with your order. The fact that the food is kept warm by a candle is also a great feature. Prices are reasonable. The restrooms are clean.

We came here because we love Indian food!! And the food and service were really great :D I've tried Indian food in many places, and I have to say: this was one of the best. It was a bit noisy (I was there on a Saturday evening :) ), but the team was very friendly and did a great job :D Definitely recommended!

One of the waitresses, short and a bit plump, was awful. She handed us a stack of plates and we had to distribute them ourselves. Even when she brought the food, she just placed it on the table and we had to help ourselves. The manager should definitely look into that; it's unacceptable. Another short, slim young woman was very nice and attentive. The food was okay.

A relaxed restaurant with polite service. Until now, I've been used to Indian restaurants where the dishes tended to have more sauce than substance. Here, the food has more substance, meaning meat and vegetables rather than sauce. It's definitely delicious and you'll be quite filling. I prefer more sauce, but that's a matter of taste. The food is very tasty. Even slightly spicy was quite spicy for our palates 😄 Solid restaurant.

20:40 we ordered - we got served at 21:30 we waited almost 1hr to get the food. We were just seated with drinks and unpleasant waitress and the service was a total mess. We ordered Mango Lassi for drinks which was overpriced and tasteless filled with ice cubes for 6€. Overall we wouldn't recommend unless you want an unpleasant experience.

We discovered the Indiahaus more by chance, actually. And we're glad we went in. An incredibly friendly young lady served us, the food was delicious, and prompted us to return for lunch a few days after our first visit. The lunchtime policy makes the food extremely affordable. As a result, the restaurant is very busy. To be on the safe side, you should make a reservation. We will definitely be going to Hildesheim more often. And finally, a little highlight: the young lady opens the door for guests as they leave the restaurant. It's reminiscent of the "good old days," when guests were still treated like guests. Thank you very much.

The service was good, but unfortunately, that was it. My food was very salty and, as I discovered at home, not lactose-free either, despite me pointing this out several times. It was also extremely loud in the restaurant, so we left quickly. It's a shame, because the restaurant was recommended to me, so I won't be going back.

I want to honestly share my experience... A few days ago, I wrote something about the restaurant I didn't like. Things that can probably happen in any restaurant. But the real surprise was the management's reaction: They contacted me personally, very respectfully and attentively, showing me how much they care about their guests. I was truly impressed! You don't find such respectful and appreciative customer service everywhere. It made me feel taken seriously and even psychologically "accompanied." This completely changed my impression of the restaurant and showed me that it's not just about good food, but also about genuine hospitality. I am very happy about this experience and would like to thank you from the bottom of my heart for this special attention.

Great generally friendly staff especially the ones working there long. Fantastic tasting food. One of the only place where they can provide a mild butter chicken for the kids and a scorching hot curry for me. Dishes cooked fresh, authentic and good ingredients. Portions are large and your rice will always be topped up. Service with a smile.

The truth is that we've been to this restaurant quite a few times, and it never disappoints. The quality of the food is excellent. This last time we were there, we tried the Indiahaus sauce with shrimp, and it was very good. We also ordered lamb with masala and duck with another curry sauce. But our favorite was the masala sauce. I suppose it's because of the ginger; it's very spicy, and with the strong flavor of the lamb, I don't think it would be a good combination. The rice and bread were delicious, as always. The desserts were a bit basic; nothing special for the price (€7 per dessert). For a meal for three people, ordering two dishes is enough, because we honestly had quite a bit of food left over. The waitresses are very friendly and always give us recommendations. The atmosphere is generally good.

I used to come here often, and today I returned for the first time after a long break. The food is delicious (though even the dishes labeled "spicy" are very mild), the portions are quite generous, and the atmosphere is pleasant. However, I was a bit surprised by the high prices: a main course costs between 18 and 25 euros. I will still come back when I get the chance.

We recently returned to this restaurant after having a very good experience there about two years ago. Back then, the staff was very friendly and professional – unfortunately, that seems to have changed. This time, we were served by a young employee who reacted completely inappropriately to our polite feedback. At first, she ignored us, then started laughing and simply walked away without addressing our concerns. We have never experienced such disrespectful behavior in any restaurant before. It seemed as if she had no interest in treating guests properly. The only person who seemed competent was the young manager – but unfortunately, that's not enough when the rest of the team fails. It's a real shame – next time we're passing through, we'll choose a different restaurant. My children are also very disappointed.

Hospitality and response from the staff are good. Money is worth the quantity and taste.

The food there was truly delicious, and we didn't have to wait long for it. My chicken chili was just the right amount of spice, so it wasn't too hot by German standards. The waitress was also very friendly and even gave me a little extra rice when I had the rest packed up. The atmosphere was cozy, and we especially liked the fact that you could sit inside but by the open window. The only downside is that the restaurant is right next to a busy street. But after a while, we didn't notice it much anymore. In any case, I definitely recommend it!

The food at India Haus is a real treat. Each dish is carefully seasoned and full of authentic flavors. Particularly noteworthy are the tender meat dishes, the creamy curries and the freshly baked naan breads. The variety of vegetarian options is also impressive; everything tastes balanced and homemade. The perfect balance of spices makes every meal a special experience.

The food is excellently prepared and tastes very good, a little trip to a foreign country of India. Unfortunately, the service seemed a bit overwhelmed and restructured that day, we had to wait some time until we could place our order and our expresso was forgotten, which we had to point out again. The restaurant is small and chic, but unfortunately it is located quite close together in a very small space so that you can hear every conversation from the neighbors and have little privacy.

The food is far too expensive in relation to the portions. But taste good. The service was top. The ambience is rather ok. I wouldn't eat there again.

The food was very tasty but there was a little bit of sauce in the pans for us. Unfortunately, it took a long time until we got new rice to eat and we weren't asked when we were eating whether everything was OK or whether we wanted something to drink. The guests next to us paid and got a “short” on the house - when we wanted to pay there was a handful of small candies...

March 27, 2025. It was my first time there and I was able to eat with my hand without being looked at stupidly. There are also several vegan dishes here, Indian ones!

We were very disappointed this time! We had to wait almost three quarters of an hour before we could even order anything. The drinks only arrived after more than an hour, even though we all ordered together and the starters were already there. The employees had a very difficult time taking care of two missing beers. In general, in my opinion, it is a no-go that the drinks are not collected and the drinks should always be there before the food! Unfortunately this time the main courses were only lukewarm and the bread was very cold. Because of this disappointing performance, we (8 guests) only ordered one drink and didn't give a tip, which is actually not usual for us. Furthermore, the table was originally reserved for 9 people, but only eight people could show up and ended up sitting at a table that was intended for a maximum of 6 people! That's not possible!
