India Tandoori Haus in Hildesheim

Wirklich sehr gutes Essen, serviert von den freundlichsten Mitarbeitern zu fairen Preisen. Zu jedem Curry gibt es Reis UND Naan dazu. Wir würden jederzeit wieder kommen.

Wir haben zur Abholung bestellt – leider war das Essen zur vereinbarten Abholzeit nicht fertig. Wir wurden gebeten, uns kurz zu setzen, das Essen wäre gleich fertig. Ab da mussten wir leider noch weitere 20 Minuten warten – ohne weitere Information seitens der Bedienung oder einer Entschuldigung. Wir saßen dort sprichwörtlich wie bestellt und nicht abgeholt. Das Essen war in Ordnung, hat von der würzig her allerdings nicht ganz meinen Geschmack getroffen – habe etwas den Geschmack der typisch indischen Gewürze vermisst, den ich von anderen Restaurants kenne.

Unser Lieblingsinder in Hildesheim geworden. Nicht so voll und guter Service sowie leckeres Essen.

Gerade mit 5 Personen das Lokal verlassen, alle waren begeistert vom leckeren Essen. Sehr netter Service, also alles TOP.

Das Essen war sehr lecker, es hat aber unfassbar lange gedauert bis es kam. Wir waren ab 19.15 im Lokal und bekamen 20.45 unser Essen.

Wir haben bestellt, dann mitgeteilt bekommen, dass die Lieferung für uns zu spät kommen würde (wir haben junge Kinder). Was passieren kann. Lieferando konnte nicht stornieren, also Tandoori Haus angerufen, die auch sagten, dass sie nicht stornieren könnten. Nach über zwei Stunden haben wir Lieferando über die Wartezeit informiert und -plopp- konnte India Tandoori doch stornieren. Ich habe dort angerufen und dann war er noch so frech zu lügen, wir hätten ja storniert. Das war das letzte Mal. Es gibt ein besseres indisches Restaurant, welches leider nicht liefert. Aber dann hol ich es lieber ab, als nochmal mit denen zu tun zu haben.

Das Essen war toll, leider war das Personal bei vollem Restaurant total unterbesetzt und überfordert. Teilweise Probleme mit der Verständigung

Total überfordertes Personal, warten immet noch auf unser Essen, 2 Stunden! Nicht nochmal, sorry.

Der Service war spitze: superfreundlich und aufmerksam. Das Essen war auch sehr gut. Wir hatten unterschiedliche Hähnchengerichte und haben uns durch das Naan getestet: frisch, soft und sehr lecker (Zwiebel / Knoblauch / Butter). Preis-Leistung realistisch/angemessen. Wir kommen gern wieder!

Super leckeres Essen. Der Laden war voll, daher wohl Geträbke vergessen, macht nix. Vedienubg war sehr freundlich und schnell Parkplätze in der direkten Nähe vorhabden. Wir komnen wieder.

Grundlage der Bewertung: Abendessen, Paar Ü65, Bedienung: sehr freundlich, aufmerksam Essen: wir beide waren sehr zufrieden. Geschmackvoll. Vorspeise vom Haus( Brot mit drei Saucen) Indisch ist jetzt nicht so " unser Ding". Aber das war hier wirklich ok.

Das Essen war seeehr lecker. Die Bedienung war freundlich und flott. Parken war i.O. und Bezahlung mit EC möglich. Wir kommen gerne wieder ;-))

Oh dear, wo fange ich an... Wir waren hier nicht zum ersten Mal aber vermutlich doch zum letzten Mal. Die etwas überforderte Servicekraft war nicht in der Lage, ein Alsterwasser zuzubereiten und auch den Eichstrich am Glas hat sie offensichtlich noch nie vorher gesehen gehabt. Die Vorspeise kam vor den Papadams. Beim Hauptgericht haben sie auch verwechselt, welches sie scharf machen sollten und welches eben nicht. Einzige Entschuldigung: Ich bin hier neu. Absolut katastrophale Erfahrung, deckt sich mit vielen Beschreibungen, die auf Unzulänglichkeiten beim Servicepersonal abzielen. Dazu zu sagen wäre noch, dass das Restaurant leer war, es waren gerade einmal drei Tische inklusive unserem besetzt. Oh dear, never again.

Essen und Service waren sehr gut.

Das Essen ist zwar lecker, aber der Service unmöglich. Lieferzeit 70 min, nach 90 min noch immer nicht da. Bei Nachfrage: "ja fährt jetzt los!" Fahrzeit lt Maps 13 min, nach weiten 30 min noch immer kein Essen da. Unverschämt! Da sollte man doch so fair sein und bescheid geben, dass sie es nicht schaffen. Dann kann man wo anders bestellen.

Der Inder befindet sich in Hildesheim-Bockfeld. Nicht unbedingt zentral gelegen, aber dafür schön im Stadtteil Bockfeld. Das Restaurant ist freundlich und hell eingerichtet. Alles wirkt sauber und gepflegt. Mein Essen war sehr lecker – mit reichlich Kichererbsen, die sehr schmackhaft und zudem gesund sind. Der Service war freundlich und aufmerksam. Auch der Preis war sehr human. Bestimmt komme ich noch einmal wieder. Lieben Gruß

Wir waren zum 3 mal dort und mussten wieder leider viel zu lang auf unserer Essen sowie Getränke warten ( war bei den vorherigen malen ebenfalls so ) Unsere eine Beilage die wir bestellt hatten wurde leider komplett vergessen. Wir hatten vier veggie Gerichte wovon 2 leider nur lauwarm waren, der Reis war ebenfalls fast kalt Schade

Sehr leckeres Essen Preis Leistungs Verhältnis super kostenloses Brot+Dip was bei allen Restaurants extra kostet und Personal sehr nett nur zu Empfehlen

Wir haben dort zu Abend gegessen. Alle Gerichte waren sehr lecker, heiß und die Portionen reichlich. Das Personal war überragend freundlich und sehr aufmerksam. Einzig die durchsichtigen und abwischbaren Tischdecken passen nicht in das angenehme Ambiente.

Wir sind freundlich empfangen worden und hatten bereits nach 10 Minuten die erste Vorspeise am Tisch, insgesamt war das Personal sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Das Essen war gut und die Portion reichhaltig das Preis-Leistungsverhältnis ist insgesamt gut gewesen. Wir waren das erste mal dort und werden sicherlich wiederkommen.

Waren schon zweimal dort essen. Toll. Die indische Küche ist ohnehin etwas besonders. Wir mögen sie. Sehr angenehme Location und sehr angenehmes Personal. Gerne wieder wenn wir in ihrer Gegend sind. Kommen aus Brandenburg kurz vor der polnischen Grenze.

Für uns das beste indische Restaurant in Hildesheim! Wir kommen seit Jahren in dieses Restaurant und bestellen auch sehr häufig dort. Es gibt eine große Auswahl an vegetarischen Speisen und der Mango Lassi ist unfassbar lecker. Das Naan Brot ist immer sehr köstlich und der Service zuvorkommend.

We had Indian food for the very first time in our lives. What can I say? A truly outstanding restaurant, run by genuine Indians, with delicious dishes. We've rarely had such good food. We will be back. Thank you very much!

We've ordered from Tandoori several times, and everything went reasonably well. Last Saturday, we pre-ordered for 8:00 PM, and the food never arrived. We called at 8:15 PM the first time, and at 8:30 PM the second time. Then we were told that we had supposedly ordered for 8:45 PM and that it was our own fault. I sent Tandoori our email with the order again. Unfortunately, we were taken for a fool, and no solution or compensation was offered. Tandori drew the wrong bin and blamed the customer. If they hadn't taken us for a fool and apologized, everything would have been fine. As it was, it was a bad joke!

The best Indian restaurant I've ever been to. The service was great, fast, and friendly. The food was truly amazing! I'd drive 140 km each way for that again.

My family and five of us dined at the restaurant on August 30, 2025. The food was excellent and plentiful. They even asked if we needed anything else, and they even brought us more delicious naan bread. The food was very flavorful. The service was very friendly and attentive. We would gladly return. Very friendly, and upon request, you can also get your food served the original way (regarding the spiciness). Be sure to order the homemade ice cream for dessert – delicious 😋 The 5th star will be awarded if original Indian wine and a second type of Indian beer are offered on the menu and in stock! As always, it tasted delicious. The service once again exceeded itself. A good friend of mine, who unfortunately couldn't be there, knew I was eating at Tandoori. The friend then called Tandoori from abroad and invited me to dinner without my prior knowledge. So, once again, a huge thank you to the management for agreeing to this deal. I was extremely pleasantly surprised by both offers.

I had the pleasure of eating at India Tandoori Haus in Hildesheim and I highly recommend it! The food was absolutely delicious – every bite was a taste experience. The spices were perfectly balanced and I was really impressed by the quality of the ingredients. Of particular note was the Chicken Tikka Masala which was to die for. But it wasn't just the food that made the visit an unforgettable experience - the service was also outstanding. A special thank you goes to Gurchetan, who looked after us with his friendly and attentive manner. He made the evening even more enjoyable with his professionalism and warm service. I can only recommend the India Tandoori Haus – both for the excellent taste and the first-class service. A real treat for all lovers of Indian cuisine! 🌟

It didn't bother us that much, but you should probably keep in mind that if you want to go there if you're very hungry, it's NOT a "fast food" restaurant!

My wife threw up after the visit. I had long hair in my food... the chicken was dry... NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

Ordered a table on a Saturday at 7 p.m. The atmosphere was carelessly furnished. Felt like we were in a train station canteen. When we asked, we received our starter after 50 minutes. The staff was friendly but understaffed. What bothered us was that the chicken breast was diced. Otherwise the food was delicious. We received a price discount as an apology for the long wait. We will prefer the other Indian restaurant on site.

We ate here for the first time today and it was great. Very tasty food and a very polite and attentive young man who had a very good eye on everything. Highly recommended. We'll be back

The food was super delicious! Apparently there was a lot going on that evening. When we were placed we were told that we had a time limit, which personally stressed me out. After we didn't get a menu for 10 minutes (which stressed me out even more due to the previously set time limit), I got some myself. After that everything went smoothly, food came quickly and the waiter was also very friendly. Food tasted great

Good Indian food in Hildesheim and good hospitality

Overbooked and chaotic... stay away! Last Saturday I booked a table for 7:30 p.m. When we got there on time, there was no table available. We were happy to wait the 5 minutes until other guests had paid and cleared their table, that wasn't the problem. However, four young people came in the door and simply sat at our table while we waited at the counter... And then the unbelievable thing happened: the cheek was rewarded. The four of them were allowed to remain seated and it was explained to us that there would be no free tables for the time being. With the four of them, “you don’t want any trouble…” I definitely won't book there anymore, I have no idea how you'll be served there... Or not... Unfortunately I can't give 0 stars.

Not only is the food there incredibly delicious, but the portions are so generous that on some days you can't finish everything. We eat there regularly because it's always a pleasure to eat well!

The simple room has also been beautifully decorated with Indian decorations, making the atmosphere more inviting. We ordered for the first time on Sunday October 20th, 2024. Namely the delivery service. To get an overview of the food on offer, we ordered a soup, a starter, two main courses and a dessert. We ordered at 5:30pm and it was delivered shortly after 7:00pm. Clearly too long. The lady who brought the food didn't want to enter the apartment. For whatever reason. Our bill was 67.3o euros. The lady immediately said she had forgotten her wallet, so we were forced to call up 70.00 euros because we didn't have the right one. An absolute NO GO. To eat, starter Dhal lentil soup. Portion ok. The taste was non-existent, very watery. Water with lentils. Starter, Punjabi Samosa, 2 small filled dumplings on dry salad. Quite ok but way too expensive for 6.50 euros. Main course 1 time the Tandoorihaus grill plate for 22.90. The amount of meat was ok, the whole thing was on a bit of dry salad, there was no yogurt, there wasn't any sauce, the price was completely exorbitant, the meat and fish were dry. 2nd dish, lamb makhani for 19.90 euros. 11 small pieces of lamb swimming in heaps of tomato sauce. The taste was ok but a disgrace for the price. The dessert, the dessert plate for 9.50 euros, was delicious but not worth the price. Overall, if you want to eat delicious food and expect something for your money, this restaurant is absolutely out of place. Few products for an excessive amount of money and tons of room for improvement in terms of taste. Once, never again

Some of the best Indian food I have had! Lots of options and great flavours. They brought papadums as free appetisers with three different sauces, which were all delicious. The waitress spoke several languages and the place felt really authentic and well put together.

We were very positively surprised by our visit. Food and service were excellent. There was a little attention from the kitchen in advance. Starters and main courses were all very tasty and the quantity was completely sufficient. Ambiance wasn't to our taste, but everything is clean and tidy. Ordered on another occasion using the very good online ordering (excellent group function!). Everything worked very well, we even reassured us over the phone that we really wanted to pick it up ourselves.
