We were there two days ago with friends after I discovered the restaurant by chance the weekend before. Hadn't been in the area for a long time and now had an "oh cool, a new Indian" experience ;-) TLDR: It was very good. Our visit was a very positive experience. The quality of the food on offer is very good, and the selection and pricing are also appropriate, especially since you usually get rice and bread as a side dish with the main courses, which you can also order again free of charge if necessary. On the one hand, this means that the price/performance ratio is right, and on the other hand, you don't have to return much that is useless. Well solved, I was pleased. I really like Indian cuisine in general and am pleased that we now have another good option in Hildesheim. A word about the spiciness of the dishes there... Default is: Suitable for Europeans, but pleasantly "spicy". Very good. Service works without any problems, super friendly and helpful, thank you again for that :-) Clear recommendation, we will definitely come back...

Really excellent food, the quality of which is not a standard Indian restaurant, but much fresher and better. The service was also excellent. And everything at normal restaurant prices. Absolutely recommended!

In summer when temperatures are high there is air conditioning for guests. When you eat, rice + bread will be served free of charge upon request. The meat dishes hardly contain any vegetables. The butter chicken tastes great. The restaurant is completely barrier-free. The toilet is on the ground floor, but is not suitable for wheelchair users. Card payments are not welcome. Neither do credit cards. It's best to pay in cash. Bus stop right in front of the house, so no need to look for a parking space. Soup plus food plus drink costs around 30 euros per person. Very friendly staff. Clean restaurant, especially nice and bright thanks to the large windows. Just go there and let yourself be convinced.

First visit and first time for us with Indian food, conclusion: definitely everything freshly prepared! served in bowls where everything stays hot for a long time, because... The portions are huge and it takes time, but... What you can't manage is often packed up to take away. It tastes great, a few more hints about the spiciness of the dishes, lots of coriander... couldn't hurt. Drink prices great, service super nice and attentive. Small criticism, a little more Indian atmosphere would be nice. Oh, and such clean toilets in a restaurant deserve a plus point!

Delicious food, small starters on the house with great sauces, rice and bread you can order. Super friendly and helpful staff and service, without being intrusive, we felt very comfortable. On the weekend it's nice outside too, even though it's a big street where you sit, but of course there's space inside too. We will definitely come back or order to pick up.

We had a special request today: the first mango lassi of my life... so delicious!! Thank you!

Tastes really good. Nearly perfect. Very nicely presented bread with three sauces as a starter. There was also a lot for a typical lunch menu. Even I didn't manage to do everything. Very friendly service and a pleasant atmosphere. Maybe a bit spartan but free and sunny.

I thought India Restaurant had a second branch I wanted to try, but unfortunately I spotted a hair while eating. The chicken was still raw. Not recommended. Hats off to the branch in Schuhstrasse.

Being an Indian myself, I am highly satisfied with the quality of food and enjoyed the service at the restaurant. The food tastes very authentic, just like back home :) special thanks to the entire Indian Tandoori Haus team. We will definitely come again :) So far one of my best Indian restaurants outside India.. Danke guys ;))

The food was very tasty, hot and fresh. We had a duck dish with fruit and peanut sauce, fragrant basmati rice and a fried rice dish with marinated chicken. There was also naan bread, chickpea crispy bread and various homemade dips. Service was friendly and prices were completely reasonable.

We ordered food. After two hours of waiting, one of the supposedly vegan dishes came with cheese and could not be eaten. The rest tasted okay, but we felt sick while we were eating and spent the evening with a stomach ache. Maybe an unfortunate coincidence, we won't order again.

The food is great, for the price (especially for lunch) you get a great portion with great quality! The menu is very diverse, there is something for everyone, even if you are not the type for spicy food :D

I recently visited this Indian restaurant and was enchanted not only by the delicious cuisine but also by a charming waitress whose smile left me speechless. Even though I live far away and don't even know her name, she has taken my heart by storm. Her radiant smile was like a ray of sunshine in my day and enchanted me. Even after I said goodbye, her smile still resonated in my mind. The food was delicious, but her presence really made the evening unforgettable. I hope to return one day, perhaps to enjoy another delicious dish, but most of all to see that special waitress's enchanting smile again. Until then, her smile and her will remain in my thoughts and warm my heart.

I don't recommend anything Mango chicken... just curry or mango normal rice.Naan bread...sorry Durüm.....soup er I mean broth courage meat...dessert inedible...lam good sauce just spicy Delicious.....nothing....a bad joke

Very good and nice service, extremely tasty food with an above-average menu or selection (not as boring and ordinary as some other Indians) and large portions - exactly as it should be, I can recommend!

Sehr leckeres Essen und netter Inhaber, empfehlenswert.

Das Essen im Tandoori Haus war lecker, aber sehr europäisiert. Wer zum Inder geht um Gewürzprofile zu schmecken, die man sonst im europäischen Essen nicht findet, müsste eventuell zu einem anderen indischen Restaurant gehen. (Ich kann aber auch nur für die Gerichte sprechen, die wir bestellt haben). Das Personal ist sehr freundlich, aber ein bisschen verplant. Das mag dem Festtag geschuldet sein, es war wirklich voll. Am Anfang hat es stark nach Räucherstäbchen gerochen, aber daran hat man sich schnell gewöhnt. Insgesamt war es aber ein netter Besuch.

Ich war ja zunächst skeptisch, als es hieß, man wolle sich beim Inder zum Essen treffen. Ich wusste nichts von der indischen Küche. Umso begeisterter war ich, als ich von dort wieder gegangen bin. Leckere Vorspeisen und Desserts, aber die Hauptgerichte sind der Hit. Ich hatte eine Tandoori Haus Grillplatte mit Hähnchenbrust, Rotbarsch, Garnelen. Dieses Gericht wurde umrahmt von Beilagen noch brutzelnd serviert. Ich hatte selten ein so zartes Hähnchenfleisch gegessen. Der Fisch und die Garnelen waren auch sehr gut. Als Dessert hatte ich eine Platte mit einem Querschnitt aus den gebotenen Möglichkeiten. Es war alles excellent. Insgesamt gibt es eine riesige Auswahl an Gerichten, bei der auch nichtkundige Besucher mit Sicherheit etwas Leckeres finden werden, insbesondere, da die Hauptzutaten zu jedem Gericht in der Speisekarte genannt sind. Ich werde hier bestimmt nochmal einkehren und kann dieses Restaurant sehr empfehlen.

Wir waren am zweiten Weihnachtsfeiertag im India Tandori Haus. Bedienung war sehr nett, das Essen hat so lange gebraucht wie bei anderen vergleichbaren Restaurants (um die 30/45 min). Es war sehr lecker, vorallem überzeugt hat uns das Nan. Leider finde ich die Preise etwas zu hoch und das Ambiente ist noch Ausbaufähig. Zwar ist der Plastiküberzug über der Tischdecke bei indischem Essen praktisch, so muss man nicht immer direkt die Tischdecke aufwändig waschen wenn gekleckert wird, zu einem angenehmen Gefühl wenn man die Unterarme auf den Tisch legt trägt dieser jedoch nicht bei. Sonst ein sehr empfehlenswertes Lokal!

Trotz langer Wartezeit positiv vielen dank nur das mit dem schnaps zur Verdauung bedarf Übung 🤣

Bin zum ersten mal indisch essen gewesen und muss gestehen,es war ein Traum vom essen. Allein die Vorspeise(Blumenkohl frittiert) war ein gaumenschmaus 😊 Die Hauptspeise(Mango Chicken mit Reis) wirklich gut,habe nur nicht alles geschafft leider,aber das lag an mir 😅 Die Bedienung ist auch super freundlich,da kann ich nix negatives zu sagen. Ich kann es nur empfehlen und werde auf jedenfall wieder dort essen gehen.

Wir waren erst etwas kritisch, gerade wenn man schon mal in Indien war und den authentischen Geschmack kennt. Aber wir können die anderen Bewegungen nur bestätigen: unfassbar gutes Essen, extrem freundlicher und professioneller Service. Alles top, große Empfehlung! ☺️

Selten so gut indisch gegessen. Das Essen ist sehr aromatisch und geschmackvoll - und reichlich. Man schmeckt die Zutaten heraus und die sind frisch. Der Reis ist sehr langkörnig und klebt nicht zusammen und auch nicht am Löffel, noch nie in einem Restaurant in Deutschland so guten Reis gegessen ! Das servierte warme Brot dazu ist super. Die gute Bewertung ist gerechfertigt. Gute dezente Musik, keine für europäische Ohren anstrengende Musik. Parkplätze kostenlos. Alles ebenergig ohne eine Stufe, sehr einfach zu erreichen. Sehr freundliche Bedienung. Hier sind auch Inder zu Gast. Toiletten gross und sauber mit warmem Wasser zum Hände waschen. TOP !

Eher zufällig, nach einem Tag in Hannover und Hildesheim, auf dem Rückweg entdeckt. Das erste Mal mit 63 Jahren indisch gegessen. Ich bin total begeistert 🤩

Leckere Gerichte, gutes Essen, freundliches Personal

Ist unser indisches Restaurant „um die Ecke“. Essen ist grundsolide und gut. Das Ambiente ist noch etwas nüchtern und kalt. Aber sie versuchen stetig die Atmosphäre zu verbessern. Sehr genial ist die Bestellungsseite für Speisen mitnehmen. Erlaubt eine Gruppe zu erstellen, so dass sich jede Person sein Essen zusammen stellen kann. Grandios und schon häufiger genutzt.

Sehr sehr lecker 👍 Wir hatten uns kurzfristig entschlossen Essen zu gehen und wir sind sehr überrascht, wie gut es dort ist. Die Bedienung ist sehr nett und auch das Essen, die Auswahl und der Geschmack haben uns sehr gefallen. Wir kommen auf alle Fälle wieder 👍👍👍 Macht weiter so ☺️

Absolut leckeres Essen zu fairen Preisen, freundlicher und unaufdringlicher Service und ein helles, offenes Ambiente. Wer es gerne "un-europäisch" scharf mag, sollte das dem Service mitteilen. Die Küche geht auch auf solche Wünsche ein. Ich freue mich schon auf den nächsten Besuch!

Wollt ihr nach Indien? Dann genau hierher! Total nette Bedienung die einem alles erklärt. Auf Wunsch gibt's auch nicht europäisch scharf sondern richtig indisch!!! Das brennt dann auch wirklich zweimal!! Chili Chicken ist wirklich Chili Chicken... Die Gerichte sind landestypisch angerichtet. Wir fanden diese kredenzten Art Chips mit den verschiedenen Soßen mega... Hätte ich den ganzen Abend essen können.

Super lecker Personal aufmerksam und freundlich gemütliches Ambiente

Wir sind beeindruckt! Besonders lobenswert bei diesem India Haus im Vergleich zu anderen, der Service ist außerordentlich freundlich und zudem das Naan Brot eine Sensation. Dieser Teigmix in dem Lehmofen ist bewundernswert. Wir sind sprachlos… die Gerichte Mango Chicken (Nr. 85) und 81 sind sehr zu empfehlen. Die Mango Sauce dabei ein Gedicht! Nicht zu süß, genau passend in Kombination mit dem zarten Hänchenfleisch, top! Das Naan Brot und Reis kann man kostenlos nachbestellen. Dabei könnte der Reis etwas gekochter sein, allerdings ist das Geschmacksache. Wir sind beeindruckt und kommen definitiv wieder.

Wir hatten soo Hunger,dass wir Fotos und Namen der Gerichte vergessen haben😃,alle 3 Gerichte waren aber in ganz unterschiedlichen Geschmacksrichtungen sehr lecker!

Hervorragende, authentische Speisen - das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend - gute Beratung, was den individuellen Schärfegrad angeht (der bei uns perfekt getroffen wurde). Wir waren zu zweit auf ein kurzes 'Probieressen' dort und sind uns sicher, dass wir bald mal wiederkommen... Vielen Dank für die super Bewirtung! :)
