Schönes Deutsches Restaurant mit Kneipen Charakter. Essen war prima, Service sehr aufmerksam und nett. Parkplatz war leider schon voll und die Suche nach einem Parkplatz anstrengend. Preise angemessen. Ich kann den Wunderbau nur empfehlen, ein echtes Stück Ruhrpott. Viele Grüße

Gutbürgerliche Küche zu moderaten Preisen. Wir hatten die Zwiebelsuppe und anschließend Schnitzel mit Spargel - alles sehr lecker. Wegen des schönen Wetters konnten wir draußen sitzen. Die vielbefahrenen Straße stört ein bisschen. Schneller und freundlicher Service. Ein Besuch lohnt sich.

Gutbürgerlich, aber das gut. Wer Schnitzel sucht, wird fündig, es gibt mittlerweile auch vegetarische Optionen, aber es ist einfach ein gutbürgerliches Restaurant und sieht genauso aus.

Am Donnerstag ist Schnitzeltag. Daher hatte wir vorsorglich reserviert. Das war auch gut so, denn der Wunderbau war gut besucht! Bedienung freundlich, das Essen kam schnell und wsr sehr lecker! Kommen gerne wieder!

Wir waren zu dort zu einen Geburtstagsessen eingeladen, die Bedienung war freundlich und schnell. Das Essen (Gutbürgerliche Küche) kam zügig und heiss am Tisch und hat gut geschmeckt alle waren zufrieden. Preis / Leistung fanden ich Top Wir kommen wieder 😋

Gut Bürgerliches Restaurant, urig gemütlich wie früher , das essen wird frisch zubereitet mit guten Produkten, Preis- Leistung ist in Ordnung, donnerstags am Schnitzel Tag besser Tisch vorbestellen, super nettes und freundliches Personal, schön das es noch solche Restaurants gibt .

Schade. Wenn man das Schnitzel doppelt haben möchte ist das aus merkwürdigen Gründen nicht möglich (der Teller wäre für die Schnitzel zu klein). Hier ist man so festgefahren das man nichts ausser den Standart zu lässt.

Ein rustikaler schöner Ort... Haben im Saal hinten eine Weihnachtsfeier gehabt... Personal schnell, höflich.. Essen sehr gut...

We ate at Wunderbau today, as we've always had very good meals there over the past few years. But what they served me today, the hunter's schnitzel with fried potatoes, was absolutely unacceptable. The fried potatoes were a ready-made product from Pfanni. I know this because I often make them myself and can recognize them immediately by their taste, and today's simply tasted oily. It happened to me once before, when I used too much oil. You can get schnitzel of this quality at Penny, for example, and the hunter's sauce must have been a ready-made product, as I was used to better quality at Wunderbau. Conclusion: It's been five hours since my visit, and I still have a queasy feeling in my stomach from the fried potatoes dripping with oil. Since I can achieve this quality at home, this was my last visit. PS: The salad was fresh.

Excellent food (homemade casserole is a must), the prices are more than reasonable, and there's a hiking and cycling path right in front of the restaurant. Plenty of space for guests inside and outside.

A lovely restaurant with good food. The menu is a bit dated—terms like 'Zigeunerschnitzel' no longer belong on the menu, and 'Dutch sauce' instead of hollandaise sauce also seems a bit odd. But anyone craving a 'Zigeunerschnitzel' can still enjoy a delicious meal here.

A simple restaurant typical of the Ruhr region, it primarily serves schnitzel variations. Simply prepared, but the schnitzels were fresh and, for today's prices, quite reasonably priced! The service is very attentive. Hence a second star.

I ate here with my family today, we *made a reservation* in advance because we know the restaurant is *very popular*. As always, it tasted wonderful, we'll be back and everyone knows that a full restaurant shows that it's a good restaurant. Even my daughter, who is otherwise difficult to please, was thrilled and enjoyed it. 😊

Went here for a small choir celebration, everything was great. I can highly recommend it, even for a short break during the week.

The dining room smells strongly of grease, the food is very bland and the service is unfriendly. People constantly ask if you would like something to drink even though the glasses are not yet empty, but the empty soup cups and used dishes are not cleared away. My conclusion, French fries stall quality at restaurant prices. Not recommended.

We enjoyed going there as a child and later, until we were dissatisfied a few times after the death of the previous landlady. Now we have been there again for the second time after many years and it has the same quality as “before”. The menu is still largely the same as “back then”, but that suits the restaurant in a positive way. The furnishings are getting old, but everything still makes a very well-kept impression. It's also great to sit and eat in the beer garden. The restaurant stands for home-style cooking and very good, fried schnitzels with various sauces, as we still know them from before, both in terms of taste and name. We ate schnitzel both times - the meat quality was good, the schnitzel was fried juicy, and the sauces were home-style and delicious. The salad served with it is also fresh and delicious. I like to take the oriental plate, where you get three small schnitzels with different sauces. The fried onions are also very tasty. Here they are not braised but fried until crispy. The attentive and friendly service staff completes the good impression. We will happily stop there again from time to time when we feel like schnitzel or something similar. stands.

The restaurant “Am Schlagbaum” in Sprockhövel completely convinced us. The food was delicious and lovingly prepared, the atmosphere was very cozy and inviting. A regionally popular restaurant located directly on the Radeeg "Springorumtrasse". Invites cyclists to take a break and have a snack at reasonable prices. A highly recommended restaurant.

Nice restaurant, friendly service, but it was full because it was schnitzel day there on Thursday. The positive thing is that the restaurant is located directly on the Springorum cycle path and therefore invites you to take a break there. In summer you can definitely sit in the beer garden.

Due to a change of residence and job, I was unfortunately no longer able to visit the “miracle building” for some time, as I had often done many years before. The cuisine is really good. Where will there soon be a German, home-style restaurant? At prices that were completely acceptable and still are today. The innkeepers, the Gremmel family, are always hospitable. The service is always courteous. The “miracle building” is also ideal for family celebrations or other events, with a beautiful terrace centrally located in the countryside. Gladly again and again!

Wir kommen aus Dahlhausen ums Eck waren heute erste Mal im Biergarten Essen es war frisch und sehr lecker, sehr nette Bedienung sehr zu empfehlen das Bauernschnitzel mit Rostkartoffeln wir werden jetzt öfter kommen 👌👌👌

Derzeit gibt es eine kleine überschaubare Sommerkarte. Wir hatten uns für verschiedene Schnitzel Varianten entschieden. Alles sehr einfach ohne Schnickschnack serviert, aber sehr lecker 😋 😋

Sind mit 4 Personen, aufgrund einer Empfehlung, am Sonntag den 27.08. gegen 14:30 Uhr aus Herten angereist um dort zu speisen. Um keine böse Überraschung zu erleben vorher die Öffnungszeiten im Internet gecheckt. Geöffnet von 11:00 Uhr bis 21:00 Uhr. Vor Ort wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass die Küche von 14:00 Uhr bis 17:00 Uhr geschlossen ist. Hinweise darauf waren nirgendwo zu finden. Ein unmögliches Management welches mit Gästen so umgeht. Zu 100% mein letzter Besuch an diesem Ort.
