Beautiful beer garden, a fairly large selection of food, friendly staff, fast service, and good food. We'll be back!

The food is always top-notch. The events, such as the suckling pig buffet, are also fantastic.

We visited the Schützenhaus today with a reservation. We received a friendly welcome and were shown to our table in the lovely beer garden. The service by Ms. Forschner and her colleague was excellent and attentive. We felt very comfortable. The food was excellent. Even my celiac disease was no problem for Ms. Forschner. She has solutions for that, too. We'd be happy to come back.

The waitress must have had a bad day yesterday. Because of the thunderstorm, we arrived a little late and hadn't even sat down yet, so we should have ordered food...there was a large group in the restaurant...she also forgot my drink, and the second one was billed to the wrong table...

Well, it's a bit disappointing: high prices but mediocre quality and small portions. The ambiance outside isn't exactly inviting either; the uneven gravel surface and the tables and chairs are past their best and are quite uncomfortable if you sit for a while. At least the service was friendly. There are better options nearby.

Drinks were only slightly cool, despite the heat. The salad was warm and didn't seem fresh – everything tasted pickled, including the carrots. The main course (pork loin with cream of mushrooms, also just with pickled mushrooms) was very salty, and the spaetzle was mushy. There was a noticeable amount of water collecting on the plate – usually a sign of poor preparation or frozen meat. The schnitzel (deep-fried) was also disappointing: small, over-seasoned, and the breading extremely salty. Finally, an unfriendly farewell: The server who took our tip didn't respond to our tip, turned around without a word, and left. Unfortunately, overall, a disappointing visit. We had hoped for much more and won't be back. Personally, I find it inexplicable how there are so many good reviews. I find it hard to understand how so many positive reviews come about.

This is a great restaurant for German cuisine. The portions are a little small for the price, but the food was delicious. All in all we can recommend this place.

We've actually been there quite often, and it's always been fine. Since February 23, 2024 (after Forschner's was on vacation), the price of rump steak has risen to €29.90, which I don't think is justified. The grill plate with three slightly sliced ​​pieces of beef, pork, and turkey now costs €22.90. Lots of fries and a salad. With two rump steaks, you're already at €60.00 without a drink. With all due respect, there's a limit somewhere. The 19% VAT seems to have been added on. And once again, it's closed for 10 days because of the Mathe-Issermarkt. For the third time this year. As regulars, we'll just have to reorient ourselves, which is a shame, but not at any price. Actually, there have always been good dishes at reasonable prices, like Schützenskeß (a kind of spit) or roast venison. The Maultaschen (ravioli) with lamb's lettuce were also good, only the lamb's lettuce was too saturated with dressing. A little less would be better.

I can't comment on the ambiance, but I can say something about the food delivery and catering. There's no messing around, arrangements are made quickly and reliably, and the food is absolutely amazing every time. Highly recommended; we've had catering three times already and will use it again.

I can highly recommend the food here. It's homemade, and everything we've had so far has been great. You can also buy homemade sausage and food to take home. A lovely atmosphere both inside and outside.

I was there again yesterday with friends after a long time and I have to say...IT DOESN'T GET BETTER 😡😡😡 A grill plate that is second to none. The portion for €23 is a disgrace!!! Even a child would have starved to death. 3 pieces of meat measuring approx. 2.5 x 2.5 cm and a measly piece of chicken with rock-hard and over-seasoned fries. The portion of cheese spaetzle for a whopping €17, which had absolutely nothing to do with the actual dish, topped it all off! 5-6 years ago the price level was still somewhat acceptable but... This is now just a rip-off. I used to enjoy going there often, but the store no longer sees me or my friends.

The food was good, but the prices were sometimes very marginal. Why cheese spaetzle and a manageable salad each cost over 17 euros is incomprehensible. Nice ambience in the interior and service okay.

War dort mit einer Gruppe. Es waren sehr viele ältere Menschen dort….. Eine riesige weitläufige und dadurch ungemütliche Räumlichkeit. Gebratenes Zanderfilet mit Kapernbutter , Kartoffeln und Salat (???) für € 21,30 (stolzer Preis). War geschmacklich kein Highlight, nur ein Magenfüller mit fetter Sauce . Service so lala…..Muss nicht mehr sein

The food was good, could have been a little warmer. The chairs have seen better days. But the food is tasty. The price is right, too. The chef even treats the dogs.

Today we ate goose, and it was fabulous. The Maultaschen (swabian ravioli) with goose or goose breast with salad were legendary. The side dishes were excellent, especially the Brussels sprouts. A poem! Plus, lots of great sauce and a selection of dumplings. All in all, a feast, and in the middle of the week!

We went there spontaneously. We got a seat. The service was chaotic and slow, but very friendly. Unfortunately, they ran out of venison goulash, so I brought some canned venison goulash with me for the next day. We had cooked cheese schnitzel there. Everything was delicious! We'd love to come back!

Wir schließen uns dem 'entschuldigung dass wir hier waren' an. Anlass: Weihnachtsessen mit der Familie. Zuvor hatten wir über mögliche vegetarische Gerichte mit dem Chef gesprochen, schien alles zu klappen. Als wir ankamen fanden wir uns in einer Art 'Verschlag' wieder, in deren Mitte an der Decke ein charmantes Loch klaffte und man die Dämmung sehen konnte. Auch die spartanisch nebeneinander gezimmerte Weihnachtsdeko, die sich auf einem Tisch an der Tür befand konnte den Plexiglascheiben und den zwei riesengroßen Schneidern ( wir nannten sie Harald und Dieter) den Charme einer Gartenlaube leider nicht nicht nehmen. Die Dame, die uns hektisch und überfordert wirkend empfang führte genau diese bezaubernde Art die zwei folgenden Stunden fort. Das besprochene vegetarische Essen gab es nicht, die Flammkuchen waren wie man uns sagte nicht variierbar, da sie nicht selbst gefertigt würden, also fertig gekauft seien. Wir wollten ohne Speck, ging natürlich nicht. Die Dame konnte sich auch ihre geglückt misslungenen Späße über Vegetarier nicht verkneifen, die sie bei unserem Kind anbrachte, was hier wirklich nichts zu suchen hat. Ja, Humor scheint man hier echt zu haben. Die Pommes schmeckten nach altem Fritierfett, die Soße war versalzen, die Flammkuchen leider leider unterirdisch. Und das Lustige hier ist, dass der Spaß auch noch total überteuert war. Dauernd ging die Tür zu unserer Gartenlaube auf, die Tür nach draußen auch. Es war a****kalt. Das Essen wurde wie in einem Bierzelt geliefert: es wurde laut brüllend angekündigt, was gerade gebracht wurde. Es war ungemütlich, hektisch und leider immer noch nicht freundlich. Dann wurden Stühle des anderen Tisches rausgetragen, die junge Helferin stand oft völlig hilflos rum, man wollte ihr irgendwie die ganze Zeit helfen. Es war glaube ich der traurigste 'Restaurant'aufenthalt, den ich je erlebt habe. Man hatte nie das Gefühl, willkommen zu sein, eher das Gegenteil war der Fall. Selbst unsere Kinder baten uns, hier nie wieder hin zu gehen. Wow, Kindermund und so... Für diese Performance solche Preise? Also, das war leider gar nix, schade fürs Geld.

We went there with 6 people to eat goose. It tasted wonderful. I was particularly pleased that you could choose: breast or leg, red cabbage or Brussels sprouts, bread dumplings or potato dumplings. The food tasted wonderful, we got a second helping of sauce and dumplings and the service was great! Everyone is very friendly, courteous and quick. We felt completely comfortable. The ambience is great! For me it has nothing to do with a rifle house. We would love to come back. Dessert was awesome...you wouldn't believe what you were eating. “Sweet Currywurst” for dessert. There is also non-alcoholic beer 0.0. The restaurant is absolutely recommended. I recommend making a reservation!

We were there yesterday (September 19th, 2024) for the spare ribs and pulled pork buffet - it was super tasty. There were also various salads and other things like sweet potatoes, fries, fried potatoes, etc. The fun cost 28 euros / person, but it's worth it! Beer from 4 euros, depending on the type (pilsner / wheat beer). Parking is free and at least yesterday there was enough parking. Card payment possible.

We were very disappointed this time, the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all, schnitzel from the deep fryer wasn't possible at all. Beer garden is very nice, service was also really nice, took great care of our 🐶, with water and treats ☺️

The only drawback would be the social media team, the photos and videos on the Instagram page are really outdated and not very appealing. We used to often eat at Forschner. It was known for delicious, down-to-earth food at fair prices. Unfortunately, it's not as good as it once was. The prices have become expensive and the food has become significantly worse. Very unfortunate.

Good and tasty food, nice atmosphere in the field. But: The salad with turkey breast strips (see picture) costs just under €18, but you get a medium salad with a few pieces of turkey breast. This is completely overpriced! Ate for three people, we spent almost €70!

Yesterday we also went to the Forschners with our second son for the communion celebration. Since things worked out so well with our older son two years ago, we ended up there again. We were served excellently and had a grill buffet with salads, baked potatoes, grilled vegetables, lamb suckling pig, turkey and pork neck. Everything at its best. All 20 guests were very satisfied. The boss personally came to the buffet to cut and serve the meat. The drink prices weren't as exorbitant as in some other restaurants these days. We can highly recommend Forschners and thank you for the excellent hospitality.

Very tasty food. We had the Schützenspies and grilled turkey with feta cheese and grilled vegetables. Both were excellent.

Wir waren auf Empfehlung unserer Tochter mit sechs Personen hier. Die Auswahl der Speisen war sehr umfänglich, es war für jeden etwas dabei. Es hat uns sehr gut geschmeckt. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Das Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis war in Ordnung. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

We were there with several people on a Saturday Condition was completely overwhelmed although it wasn't very full. The food was a complete disaster, so if you aren't even able to prepare a sauce properly then I would say, well, the meat was actually ordered medium rare, what came was almost raw in our opinion and the top of the whole thing was the soup Marrow dumpling only tasted like water. They apologized when spoken to, but in my opinion it was a no go.

Wir waren eine Gruppe und es war mega gut. Sehr freundliches und tolles Personal.

Leider sehr durchschnittlich. Service: nett aber ein wenig überfordert Getränke : preislich in Ordnung, ein Glas versifft an den Tisch gekommen. Naja. Kann ja mal passieren. Essen: naja. Wenn der Metzger kocht... Gleich mal am Anfang : gebratenen Maultaschen - Nudelteig bis zu 3 mm dick, Füllung besteht wohl aus Bratwurstbrät. Wenigstens selbstgemacht, aber halt nicht wirklich gut. Pute an Gemüse? Beides sehr trocken. Zander? 20 gramm weniger und es wäre ein nacktes fischstäbchen. Lokalität : seeeeeehr abgelegen und - Überraschungen - an einem aktiven Schützenhaus. Geknalle inklusive. Das würde ich dem Laden nicht an Lasten, aber man sollte es wissen. Parkplätze gehen auch bei ca 80%tiger Besetzung des Restaurants aus. Alles in allem, geht, geht besser, muss man nicht unbedingt haben

Es gibt sehr leckere Hausmannskost im Schützenhaus und besondere Speisen an bestimmten Tagen. Die gutbürgerliche Küche ist zu empfehlen.

Das Essen war lecker. Der Service überaus zuvorkommend und freundlich. Preislich liegt es für mich an der Grenze. Das empfindet aber natürlich jeder anders. Wir werden mal wieder vorbeischauen.

Essen grundsätzlich gut. Wir hatten leider etwas Pech: Die Gans (Keule und Brust) war im Inneren saftig und zart, allerdings außen sehr trocken. Pommes beim Grillteller leider 2 Minuten zu lange in der Friteusse. Beim Nachtisch war das Soufflee, leider nciht aufgegangen, bzw. wieder zusammengefallen. Sehr nette und aufmerksame Bedienung. Auch wären die Gerichte (pommes oder Nachtisch) neu gemacht worden, allerdings hatte man dann nicht mehr zusammen essen können.

Sehr gutes essen. Im Sommer großer Biergarten. Die Preise sind o.k.. Eine Reservierung ist empfehlenswert.

Rustikales Ambiente. Aufmerksame und freundliche Bedienungen. Dem sehr guten Fleisch merkt man an, dass hier ein Metzger das sagen hat.

Bedienung war nicht Freundlich ,ich habe dort ein Rumpsteak gegessen, wo eine Sehne komplett durchzogen war. Wo dann die Bedienung im Anschluss meinte, ich hätte es ja reklamieren können,dann war für sie die Sache erledigt.

Bin mit dem Fahrrad dort eingekehrt und habe sehr lecker gespeist.

Schade, aber es hat von A-Z nicht gepasst. Maximal überfordert, Beilagensalat kam vor der Vorspeise. Bis endlich Essen oder Getränke kamen verging eine Ewigkeit, die Qualität des Essens war gar nicht gut. Hat sich aufgewärmt angefühlt und auch so geschmeckt. Zu keinem Zeitpunkt hat man das Gefühl gehabt hier als Gast willkommen zu sein. Wie der Titel schon sagt: Einmal und nie wieder!

Essen top, der Servicekraft hat man leider angesehen dass sie der Abend sehr gestresst hat und der Biergarten könnte im hinteren Teil ein bisschen mehr liebe vertragen. Aber das is alles jammern auf hohem Niveau - man geht zum essen um eine schöne Zeit zu haben und dass hat man dort definitiv.

Schöner grosser Biergarten. Essen ist immer lecker , es macht sich bemerkbar dass der Chef vom Fach ist. Leider hat sich das weit ins Land rumgesprochen, was zur Folge hat dass oft kein Platz mehr ist. Vorreservieren wer hin will!

Ich muss sagen, das geht leider gar nicht. Nach gefühlt eineinhalb Stunden kam das Essen. Personal war total überfordert. Essen war auch mau. Preise eigentlich fair. Hier besteht dringend Handlungsbedarf

Wir waren gestern, am 13.05.2023 das 1.Mal auf Empfehlung dort, da wir in der Nähe ein Auto besichtigt haben. Wir entschieden uns für Spargel, mit Kartoffel und kleines paniertes Schnitzel. Wir fragten zuvor noch, ob das Schnitzel aus dem Schweinerücken gemacht wird und es wurde uns bestätigt. Als das Essen kam,erkannte ich schon an der Form und Größe, dass es sich um Schnitzel aus der Oberschale handelt. Hat leider auch danach geschmeckt. Es wurde zwar nochmal nachgefragt und bestätigt, dass es aus vom Schweinerücken sei. Wir konnten es nicht essen, da wir Oberschale überhaupt nicht mögen. Die Kartoffel haben so furchtbar komisch geschmeckt, wie ein paar Tage alt und in Mikrowelle aufgewärmt, also auch nicht genießbar. Der Spargel war sehr lecker und die Soße Hollandaise auch. Wenigsten etwas was uns ein wenig satt gemacht hat. Schnitzel haben wir mitgenommen und an den Hund verfüttert. Dafür natürlich zu teuer. Bedieung war sehr freundlich. Aber da müssen wir nicht nochmal hin. Schade!

Ich war früher öfter dort und zufrieden mit Preis/Leistung. Was ich heute erlebt habe, fügt sich nahtlos an die Bewertung eines "Entschuldigen Sie bitte unseren Besuch" an. Ich wollte vor dem EM der Damen noch etwas essen: 1) Geschlagene zehn Minuten wurde ich ignoriert, obwohl genügend Personal vorhanden war - die liefen einfach an mir vorbei! 2) Als ich durch Winken (!) auf mich aufmerksam machte, wurde ich erstmal belehrt "Haben Sie eine Reservierung" (Nein - wozu das halbe Lokal war doch leer!) "Alle Tische hier sind reserviert" (für wen?). "Wollen Sie jetzt etwas trinken?" Danach war mir dann auch nicht mehr und ich ging. Fazit: So nicht! Was ist nur aus diesem Restaurant geworden? ich gehe jedenfalls dort nicht mehr hin!

Wir waren heute erneut zum Essen im Schützenhaus, leider zum letzten Mal. Wir haben uns dreister weise erlaubt, nach 5min der völligen Missachtung an einen leeren Tisch zu setzen. Hätten wir das mal lieber unterlassen. In folge dessen wurde uns von der „netten“ Bedienung in einem etwas ernsteren Ton mitgeteilt, dass diese Plätze doch alle reserviert seien, oder wieso läge dort sonst Besteck auf dem Tisch. *lol* „Okay“ dachten wir, bestimmt nicht böse gemeint, dann setzen wir uns eben an den nun zugewiesenen Tisch. Dort wurden wir zunächst überhaupt nicht mehr beachtet. Nachdem wir uns nach ca. 10min bemerkbar machten, bekamen wir nach 15min die Karten. Weitere 10 Minute später wurden die Getränke aufgenommen und erneute 15 Minuten später kam es zur Essen-Aufnahme. Die Freundlichkeit kannte keine Grenzen. Nach dem ich mein Besteck nach dem ersten Gang nicht vom Teller räumte, wurde ich nett darauf hingewiesen, dass ich doch mein Messer und meine Gabel noch bräuchte und runter nehmen solle! Alles klar dachte ich und entschuldigte mich für meinen Fehler. Im Ernst, ich verstehe jede Form von Stress und bin sehr verständnisvoll, aber ich kann nichts dafür, dass manche Leute ihren Job nicht gerne machen. Mein Tipp an Euch, sucht Euch etwas, was Euch Freude bereitet. Eigentlich ein klassischer Fall von Null Trinkgeld, aber das brachten wir nicht übers Herz.
