A small restaurant in the west with actually pretty good food. It's no good if you have to wait forever for your food. The pizza arrived after 40 minutes, and everyone at the next table had finished their pizza by the time the last person got theirs. The service was only friendly to the regulars; we didn't get much of it. ;)

Unfortunately I have to change my review: Yesterday we were guests with a group of 8 people that had been announced around 3 weeks ago. The reservation was for 7:45 p.m. Half of them had to sit on hastily erected benches, which of course have no backrests. Thanks. If I wanted that, I would go to the beer tent. Drink intake delayed, we had to run after a drink. The food that was ordered at the same time was at the table around 1 hour later. That simply doesn't work! Pizza wasn't perfect this time either. The edges were great but the inside had the consistency of a crepe. Too bad Very nice gastronomy. Great, quick service. Pleasant prices. And the most important thing: Food was great. Pizza 🍕 Prosciutto funghi! Delicious. Panna cotta molto bene and the espresso anyway. I'd love to come neither.

Mamma mia, what an experience! When the longing for authentic Italian cuisine calls, Il Pomodoro S-West answers with a carbonara that seems to come straight from the streets of Rome. From the first bite I felt like I was in a piazza in Trastevere, surrounded by the warmth of the Mediterranean sun. The pasta - al dente as it should be - was coated in a divine sauce, creamy and full of flavor, without that usual creamy mess that is so often served. No, here you can taste the original: eggs, pecorino and a pinch of black pepper, perfectly balanced. And the guanciale… ah, that guanciale! Crispy, slightly salty, with just the right amount of fat to create that decadent creaminess. Every fork was a poem, a dance on the tongue, an ode to Italian cuisine. The atmosphere of the restaurant did the rest: rustic, cozy and with a touch of trattoria romance that makes you feel at home in Italy. Accompanied by a glass of Chianti, this meal became a true revelation. Grazie, Il Pomodoro S-West, for this heavenly carbonara. I will always return here – for this little piece of Italy in the middle of the city of Stuttgart. 5 stars – and I wish I could give more!

Please reserve!!! This experience of typical Italian cuisine, combined with fabulous dishes, should definitely be visited. If you didn't eat here, you definitely missed one of the best restaurants in Stuttgart.

Really incredibly tasty Italian and at unbelievably cheap prices. Fresh and original Italian ingredients! There was free warm, crispy, soft bread as a starter, super tasty. We had the pizza Cinza with Bresaola rocket and mozzarella which was really high quality with a soft core. The pasta was also really good. I was expecting a creamy cheese sauce but it was really great and you could still see the fresh pieces of cheese. There was also parmesan and chili oil. Only paid €30 for pasta pizza and a large bottle of water, really unbeatable. Service was also very nice and courteous and the food was ready very quickly. Real Italians at work. I would love to come back when I'm in Stuttgart again!

The Il Pomodoro restaurant is centrally located in the west of Stuttgart. Parking spaces are rare, but the visit is worth it because you can get one of the best pizzas in Stuttgart here. The atmosphere is clean and inviting, the staff friendly. The dishes are typically Italian and freshly prepared. The wood stove is particularly impressive. The portion sizes are reasonable; There are even small pizzas for small appetites that can be combined with a salad. The selection includes classic and specialty pizzas that are a must-try. In terms of price, the restaurant is within an acceptable range, although the general price increases are also noticeable here. Lunch in particular offers a cheap opportunity to eat well. Overall, Il Pomodoro impresses with its cleanliness, friendly service and excellent pizza. I'll definitely come back and give it full points.

The good reviews are a mystery to me. Food is just not good. Service stressed and unfriendly. Pizza wasn't baked properly at all. Gnocchi were rubbery and the tomato sauce tasted like fennel. Don't even get me started on the "Minestrone".

Unfortunately it has been very disappointing for some time now. The lasagne delivered was burnt throughout, pitch black and inedible. So it was money wasted. I can only advise everyone not to order here. It was the last time for me.

Bad pizza for a long time, few ingredients and the dough was extremely bad. Partially burnt at the top and extremely white at the bottom with burnt semola. First and last time I'm disappointed. I'm not used to Italian pizza like that.

Il Pomodoro S-West is a good Italian restaurant! I've now had food in all 3 locations, this time I ordered a large Quattro Stagioni with extra olives. In terms of price at 10.90 (September 2024), the pizzas are generally in the 10-15 euro range. Pizza is originally Italian, in my opinion the tastiest thing is the cheese in combination with the juicy tomato sauce. Super coordinated. The dough is nice and crispy and also very tasty. Salami, ham, artichokes and mushrooms are fresh and overall high quality. Overall, the pizza tastes great and, in my opinion, definitely belongs in the top 5 in Stuttgart. I can actually recommend all 3 locations of Il Pomodoro, although you should note that they are busy at peak times. I ordered via Wolt, the pizza was still warm, I didn't pay any extra charge, on the contrary I even saved with the voucher. Of course it's a snapshot, but you can't go wrong eating there, the prices and quality are right.

My husband and I recently dined there and ordered takeout there a few days later. The food is very good, the service is friendly, the prices are fair. The atmosphere can be described as cozy :) We'd love to come back.

The il-pomodoro-west is simply great! I ordered 16 large wood-fired pizzas there for my birthday and the pizzas were delivered to me within three quarters of an hour! The pizzas were super tasty and the price was even cheaper for me than ordering party pizzas elsewhere! My guests liked the pizzas so much that after an hour we ordered another 12 pizzas, which were delivered super quickly! Apart from the food, the team at il-pomodoro is super friendly and helpful! I was completely satisfied and will order from il-pomodoro again for my next celebration!

Was there yesterday on the recommendation of friends. Food was cheap, but unfortunately you can taste it too. My carbonara was served in a stainless steel bowl (like a dog bowl). What was funny was the lid of the bowl with a piece of parmesan that you could grate over the food yourself. The restaurant is cramped and uncomfortable in terms of ambience. I won't go there anymore

7 years ago it was the best pizzeria in town for me. In the meantime, however, the quality has noticeably decreased. There is simply a lack of topping. Some of the pizzas taste very dry. I have the feeling that a lot of savings are being made here. There are too many unoccupied places.

After more than an hour the starter was brought. Bruschetta was more like a salad, halved tomatoes with bread. The taste of the food was okay, but after such a long wait the appetite was gone. I definitely wouldn't come back.

The best pizza i have ever ate. People here are for sure the best for their job. They are friendly and so energetic, the vibe they share is amazing for sure. It's worth your time, trust me! A true italien experience.

The stuff was not kind when they saw us with a stroller. Yes place is not suitable for strollers but they could inform us much kinder way. If you are more than 4 people it is also not possible to sit together. Food is nice prices are good but the place is full with smell and very narrow. Hygiene is also not the most popular thing there when you see stuff putting bread on plates with bare hands

Wir waren absolut begeistert von diesem Abend im "Il POMODORO S-West". Zur Begrüßung wurde uns zur Feier ein Sekt eingeschenkt. Nach Empfehlung des Chefs bestellte ich die Pizza Portafoglio mit Rucola, Buffala, Bergtomaten und Pistaziencreme Pesto von der Wochenkarte. Die Pizza war sehr lecker, alles frisch zubereitet und die Pistaziencreme war ein Gedicht. Meine Frau aß die "Saltinbocca alla romana". Sie war auch sehr begeistert. Alle Bedienungen waren sehr nett und haben uns rundum sehr gut bedient. Wir können diese Pizzeria nur wärmstens empfehlen! Wir haben schon einige Pizzerien in vierzig Jahren in Stuttgart besucht, aber keine war so gut wie "Il POMODORO S-West. Wir kommen bestimmt bald wieder!

Leider kann ich absolut keine positive Bewertung für die Pizzeria Il Pomodoro West abgeben. Der Besuch war eine große Enttäuschung und der Service miserabel. Wir haben drei Pizzen bestellt und in zwei von ihnen Verpackungsmüll gefunden. Als wir das an der Kasse reklamierten, wurde unser Anliegen von der Küche ins Lächerliche gezogen. Der Chef der Pizzeria zeigte keinerlei Anzeichen von Bedauern oder Einsicht. Stattdessen wurden wir mit fragwürdigen Erklärungen abgespeist, wie „das passiert halt bei Schinken mit dem Plastik“ oder „ja bei Gorgonzola muss man das halt so aus der Verpackung kramen, ist halt so“. Solche Aussagen sind nicht nur unprofessionell, sondern auch absolut inakzeptabel (ich möchte nicht wissen, wie oft das noch passiert). Der Geschmack der Pizza war ebenfalls enttäuschend, sehr fad, weshalb wir keinen Ersatz wollten. Leider wurde keine anderweitige Lösung angeboten, und das Verhalten des Chefs verschlimmerte die Situation nur noch. Zum Schluss wurden wir mit einer unangebrachten Bemerkung verabschiedet: „andere Deutsche hätten das nicht zurück gegeben“. So zeugt von einem mangelnden Respekt gegenüber den Kunden. Insgesamt war das Essen enttäuschend und der Kundenservice eine Katastrophe. Ich kann diese Pizzeria definitiv nicht weiterempfehlen und rate jedem, sich eine andere Option zu suchen, wenn er einen angenehmen Restaurantbesuch erleben möchte.

Unfortunately I cannot give a positive review for the Pizzeria Il Pomodoro West. The visit was a big disappointment and I would like to share my experience so that other guests are warned. We ordered three pizzas and found packaging waste in two of them. When we complained about this at the checkout, our concerns were ridiculed by the kitchen. The pizzeria boss showed no signs of regret or insight. Instead, we were fobbed off with questionable explanations such as “that’s what happens with ham with the plastic” or “yes with Gorgonzola you just have to take it out of the packaging, that’s just how it is”. Such statements are not only unprofessional, but also completely unacceptable. I don't want to know how often this happens to the kitchen if it's dismissed as normal! The taste of the pizza was also disappointing, which is why we didn't want a replacement. Unfortunately, no other solution was offered and the boss's behavior only made the situation worse. At the end we were sent off with a disparaging remark: “other Germans wouldn’t have given that back”. Something like this is completely inappropriate and shows a lack of respect for customers. Overall, the food was disappointing and the customer service was a disaster. I definitely cannot recommend this pizzeria and advise everyone to look for another option if they want to experience a pleasant restaurant visit.

This restaurant, originally owned by Italians, brings together several qualities, from first-class service, fabulous food and very fair prices (much lower than those sold in tourist areas). We just ordered through Wolt and the “Italian salad” for!!! €10.50!! is an absolute disgrace. A small box of carelessly poured ingredients poured over with dressing. The highlight are the two slices of ham slapped on top. No tuna, no eggs, no peppers. Just a few chunks of parmesan, some brown lettuce, corn and tomato. We won't be ordering anymore. When you call back to the restaurant, you will be bluntly replied that you have never had a complaint, that you are arrogant and that it is more expensive in other restaurants. I'm sorry, but I'd rather leave my money with other Italians who can accept customer criticism objectively and don't fly off the handle with a southern temperament. Conclusion: Absolutely not recommended!

Prices are too high in my opinion... I have rarely seen pizzas for 17 euros even in Florence. I ate spaghetti with truffles. I wouldn't have noticed anything about the truffle if I hadn't seen it. Pasta was rolled in the parmesan wheel for too long, so there was too much cheese on the pasta. Partly clumped. It's a shame that a little truffle oil wasn't used with the thin slices of truffle...The service was definitely first class. Extremely friendly and accommodating. And very quickly. Thanks for that.

Everything was great, but unfortunately the tomatoes and chanterelles dominated the pasta.

The food was fresh and tasted good. The Montepulciano was moderate. However, the Pomodoro is not suitable for a cozy or even romantic evening because there is a constant in and out of walk-in customers and delivery services. What doesn't work at all is the male service. Touched my shoulder twice, even though I clearly said "Don't touch me" the first time. Supposedly touching something increases tips from waitresses, which I think is a rumor from touchy machos. Good contact between strangers is only possible without physical contact.

Quick preparation, great dough and really delicious pizza! Great for a relaxed Sunday evening :).

Hello, I ordered food there Pasta Napoli 6/10 Pizza 7/10 Bruschetta 0/10 Paid about 18 euros for 2x bruschetta; I think you could tell from the picture whether it was worth it, as the employees were even too lazy to chop the tomatoes.

Large menu, reasonable prices, very friendly service. The bruscetta was delicious with lots of parmesan, the pizza was huge with delicious dough from the wood-fired oven, and the pasta with salmon was also very good and plentiful. Absolutely recommended.

Beware of misleading. The large pizza was approximately 30% smaller in area than stated on the menu. Even the box was smaller than the pizza size specified. When I carefully asked whether this was correct, I was approached unfriendly by a lady on the phone. The pizza tasted good. The bruschetta was bland and loveless.

We chose this restaurant based on the good reviews here on Google and were initially a bit surprised by the exterior of the restaurant. Because: from the outside you would have no idea that this is a great, small, Italian restaurant that was really decorated with great attention to detail. If you love the Italian flair and are not put off by the somewhat limited space, this is the place for you. The owners are real full-blooded Italians and you can taste that in the dishes. The pizza was really delicious and is highly recommended. There were locals sitting next to us who also confirmed that the restaurant is run with a lot of passion. We were thrilled and will definitely come back. Above all because of the good price-performance ratio. Dogs are allowed in the restaurant!

A place in a small and cute home environment

Ordered four pizzas and all four were not good. The dough was very watered down by the tomatoes and all the toppings fell off the pizzas. The pizzas tasted very average. Salad was also forgotten. The pizza may be better if you eat locally, but unfortunately I wouldn't recommend this place to order.

Unreliable delivery service - not recommended! Delayed delivery of over 30 minutes or more. When asked, the response is rude and cheeky - that's not possible!!! Definitely the last order - just sad! ….At least the food was good, but that's not all these days.

Family-run, the staff are all very friendly, we really enjoy spending our evenings here on weekends and during the week. Sometimes really great. Sometimes rather mediocre. If quality were more consistent it would be a top address in the West.

We actually really enjoyed coming here, but the last few times it was very bad! I have never experienced such bad service. I understand when it's busier than usual, but when you've been waiting for your food for 1.5 hours and she's still not there and you get a cheeky answer about whether you're in a hurry?! Sorry, I no longer understand that! It was my favorite Italian restaurant and I have recommended it to many people, but as of today I will no longer be able to recommend it. A pity!!
