Il nuovo Cristallo in Berlin

One of the best Italian restaurants I've ever visited. A wonderful selection of pasta and fish dishes. Our fish was ultra-fresh and smelled and tasted wonderful. The service is extremely attentive, very competent, and friendly. Highly recommended for lovers of fresh fish and Italian cuisine. You can spend a wonderful evening here. It's our regular Italian restaurant when we're in Berlin.

Il nuovo Cristallo on Teltower Damm is a true godsend for anyone who loves Italian cuisine. The friendly atmosphere immediately strikes you upon entering – you feel like you're among good friends. The decor is classic and cozy, just the thing for a relaxed dinner. Culinarily, Cristallo impresses across the board: the pasta is fresh, the pizzas are crispy from the stone oven, and the antipasti are wonderfully varied. The fish dishes and the homemade tiramisu are especially worth trying – simply delicious! The service is attentive, warm, and always with a smile. The value for money is absolutely spot on; you get excellent quality at fair prices. For me, it's a permanent address in Zehlendorf, whether for dinner for two, with the family, or with a larger group.

The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. The staff were knowledgeable and able to competently answer any questions about the food and drinks. Ristorante IL Nuovo Cristallo is simply outstanding. Whether it's a starter, main course, dessert or the wines... simply perfect. In addition, the very best service that provides perfect advice, is quick, professional and very friendly. The employees seem to feel very comfortable there..

Absolutely disappointing – never again! I was looking forward to a beautiful summer evening in Zehlendorf, drinking a glass of wine and eating something light – a salad with burrata seemed perfect. What arrived next, however, was a complete outrage. A carelessly thrown-together pile of arugula landed in front of me, with an equally carelessly slapped-on burrata. A ring of ready-made balsamic dressing around the outside – that was it. No salt, no oil, no seasoning. The salad was simply not dressed. When I finally bit into the burrata, I hit rock bottom: It was bad. Completely sour, inedible – simply disgusting. I calmly and politely pointed this out to the waiter, whereupon the manager himself came over – not to apologize, but to discuss with me whether the cheese was really spoiled. No insight, no regret, no hint of customer service. Instead, I was met with a defensive attitude that lacked any sense of hospitality. I decided not to get upset any further and to salvage the evening with my companions. When we paid (even with a tip), I had at least expected an apology as we left. Instead: a cold stare that followed me even as I left the restaurant. My conclusion: If you're looking for bad service, poor quality, and zero hospitality, this is the place for you. For everyone else: Il Nuovo Cristallo – absolutely not recommended.

As part of a birthday party, we ordered nine different dishes. The starters were very tasty and received praise. The main courses received neither praise nor criticism. Unfortunately, I ordered the wrong thing: veal schnitzel with asparagus. The schnitzels were, as is unfortunately often the case in other restaurants these days, convenient and probably prepared in a deep fryer. Horrible! The asparagus was dry and very hard. I would rate my meal a 5. What a shame!

Very tasty veal schnitzel with chanterelle mushrooms. What bothered me was the small amount of side dishes. One potato and a tablespoon of vegetables. It looked very out of place next to the large schnitzel. The staff was always friendly!

This was our first time at this restaurant and we were quite satisfied overall. The ambiance is really pleasant – stylishly decorated and very inviting. The prices are on the higher end, but certainly reasonable for Zehlendorf. Unfortunately, the antipasti didn't impress us: mostly vegetables, no Parma or cow's milk mozzarella, and simply too expensive. We paid a whopping €69 for antipasti for four people! The rest of the meal, however, was very good and flavorful. The service was initially friendly, and we felt well looked after. However, the mood changed somewhat when it came to paying – the server was rather rude when it came to tipping, which somewhat dampened the otherwise positive impression. Nevertheless, we would come back – the food was good and the ambiance definitely invites you to linger.

Good quality of food served in a friendly atmosphere

We ate here for Christmas as part of a larger group and were very happy with the service and the food. The menu is very varied and there is something for everyone. The desserts were also really great. We would have liked the restaurant to have pointed out when making the reservation that the table was only reserved for 2.5 hours and would be reassigned immediately afterwards. Especially at Christmas, people like to sit a little longer. Luckily the timing worked out well as we skipped appetizers and the food was delivered quickly. We would love to come back again, thank you for the lovely evening and the small panettone as a gift ♥️ The menu is very varied and there is something for everyone. The desserts were also really great.

One point for poor service and outrageous prices. We ordered a starter plate and got two for a whopping €100, which is a rip-off at its finest. Especially since it looked like it was a huge portion on the plate. In reality, there was just a lot of arugula under the meat. I would estimate the value of the two plates at a maximum of €25. So be careful what you order and pay attention to the bill. Unfortunately, this restaurant is not cheap overall and the food is not good enough for these prices, for example. Our drinks were from open bottles, i.e. non-carbonated. I prefer to go to the pizzeria on Berliner Straße.

Friendly and courteous staff, very tasty food and a pleasant and relaxed atmosphere. We had 3 pasta dishes and a stone oven pizza. Freshly grated Parmesan was served with the pasta dishes (which were anything but “standard”). The stone oven pizza had a great crispy base. For dessert we ordered the homemade tiramisu, which was also very tasty and beautifully presented. We were thrilled and can recommend the restaurant 100%.

The service was very friendly, although we asked several times for lemon for the schnitzel and simply didn't get it. The food was actually subpar. We had starters and mains and unfortunately we were very disappointed. We didn't eat anything. Only the children's pasta was ok. We then all shared them. Unfortunately not recommended. Then I'd rather eat at home.

From the employees to the boss, everyone was very courteous and professional. Outstanding wine list and elegant presentation. Chic ambience, fresh ingredients and many delicacies spoiled us here and we will definitely come back.

Mare e monti for €35.50 is definitely not recommended at this price, 3 smaller scampi (the menu says king prawns) and 2 small slices of fillet (according to the chef or the owner 150 grams) do not justify this price. That is disproportionate. I can't say anything about other dishes - the aperol spritz tasted the same as everywhere else.

Very friendly and courteous staff, even a large group was accepted without a reservation, table conversion included. Storage for luggage was also possible. Food was very good and there was something for every taste.

During my last visit to Il nuovo Cristallo in Berlin Zehlendorf, the starters and the tiramisu were a real highlight. The starters were creatively put together and each one was a taste experience in itself. And the tiramisu? Simply heavenly! It was just the right balance of sweet and creamy without being too heavy. I was really impressed with the quality and presentation of the food. A visit that I will certainly remember for a long time.

There is a red wine there that, with the best will in the world, is not drinkable... Maybe it would be a good idea to explain to the chef or chefs something about Italy and the cuisine there. .

Popped in to my favourite Italian restaurant on my visit to Berlin. Just a couple of quiet beers but as always welcomed warmly (not been for 2 years, they don’t know me). Bringing my family on Friday. I love this place.

Trotz sehr gut gefülltem Restaurant, musste man nicht lange warten und wurde stets freundlich bedient. Bei den Pizzen hat man gemerkt, dass sie in Italien erfunden wurden. Perfekt!

Toller Service, super freundliches Personal und leckeres Essen. Wir kamen gegen 23 Uhr, zu einer Zeit, wo in Zehlendorf schon die Bürgersteige hochgeklappt werden, wurden freundlich empfangen und haben ganz selbstverständlich (!) noch was leckeres zu Essen bekommen. So viel Serviceorientierung kann sich (nicht nur in der Gegend) sehen lassen.

Fahre dort gewesen nach langer Zeit sehr teuer für sehr schlechtes kann es absolut nicht empfehlen lauft lieber ein paar Meter weiter zu Fontana Vergleich wie McDonald's gegen blockhaus jeder Stern in ich geben musste war einer zuviel

Sind öfters im Restaurant und bestellen min 1-2 mal im Monat Sachen zur Abholung (mein lieblings Italiener). Die Pizza ist sehr gut und von mir persönlich validiert, Nudelgerichte und Salate sind laut meiner Frau auch sehr gut. Der Nachtisch ist auch sehr zu empfehlen. Die Kinder fühlen sich im Gartenbereich sehr wohl und können sich zwischendurch auch nebenan ein Eis holen. Der Service ist sehr aufmerksam und nett.
