Il Gusto in Freiburg im Breisgau

The salami pizza was okay, average quality, but rather small. But I think the price is excessive at 15 euros and more for the pizzas. The service wasn't particularly friendly either. I think there are better pizzerias in Freiburg.

Il Capitano Pippo is the best example of how an excellent pizza can also be made in an electric oven. Admittedly, you have to like the crowds and noise in the market halls at visiting weddings and it is often not easy to find a seat. But if you just want to eat a damn good pizza in Freiburg, you should come here. Insider tip: You can also get a Lillet here, prepared strictly according to the recipe, or two ;-)

Their pizza looks delicious but I only got around to try one of their tarte flambées/flammkuchen. Not quite a traditional take on it but hey it's a pizzeria after all. Quite nice, thin and crusty and savoury in the pallete.
