No Not recommended and fortunately closed. Probably the worst restaurateur in Wiesbaden.

We had reserved a table online for Wed February 26, 2025 and it was confirmed. But we were standing in front of a closed door at 5:30 p.m. No one could be reached on the phone, just a sign on the door saying “Closed”. Everything was covered inside. Strange.

Incluso recibí confirmación de la reserva más un recordatorio el día anterior. Muchas notificaciones en mi teléfono pero no mucho interés del restaurante para notificar que están cerrados. Absolutamente mala experiencia.

Wonderfully quiet atmosphere. Food authentic and served very attentively.

Unfortunately not recommended at all. Even though we had reserved, no one knew we were coming. The food, which was neither Spanish nor Italian, was rather average. Furthermore, we were occasionally greeted by the use of a first name, which really confused us. In short, we went to this restaurant exactly twice...the first and the last time.

Unfortunately, our visit to the restaurant was a mixed experience. Even though there were only four guests, we had to wait over 50 minutes for our main course - quite a long wait. The ambience of the restaurant is really appealing, but there is room for improvement in other areas. The first floor toilets were uncomfortably cold - the window was wide open, the heat was off and there was no soap. It felt like the same freezing temperatures outside and inside. What was disappointing was that the children's meals were not available on the menu. However, the fajitas should be highlighted positively - they were excellent and saved the evening to a certain extent from a culinary point of view. All in all, a mixed impression remains, with potential for improvement.

Frequent visitors to Wiesbaden, we found this place a few months ago and have returned several times since. The staff are friendly, polite, and attentive, without being obtrusive. Although I do favour a pasta dish, I plan to try a steak next time. First visit was after a very disappointing effort by a restaurant in the town centre in what I call Italian Row. It was simply awful. Inedible. We passed this restaurant on the way home and I was reluctant to go in, having completely lost my appetite. They made me a pasta dish, not on the menu, but they were happy to accommodate. I would describe the food as outstanding. It is not expensive, comparable with other places we have been, and the quality far surpasses anywhere else we have tried. Having written this review I now feel obliged to try a different dish next time. That is OK, I am sure it will be 5 star. I saw the steaks go past!

A quiet and cozy place for a great night. Very relaxing and stylish

Friday evening, 7 PM. Restaurants would not accept customers without a reservation. This one? No reservation needed, Reason? We soon found out. Low quality food, poorly cooked. Poor service. Never again. People, go somewhere else. This one is a bad restaurant.

Estábamos regresando de la ciudad, después de haber hecho ya un intento de cenar (el peor plato de pasta que he experimentado! ) El apetito se fue pero, sabiendo que tenía que comer, entramos en este restaurante. Les expliqué cómo me gusta mi pasta, no demasiado al dente, ni salsa pesada, un poco de aceite y muy poca crema. Una ligera desviación de lo descrito en el menú en que la pasta viene en una salsa crema. Fue perfecto, exactamente como me gusta. ¡Un buen chef puede improvisar! El servicio fue agradable y educado. Excelente vino y un entorno encantador con un ambiente agradable y tranquilo.

I had the pleasure of dining at IL GONDOLIERE and it was an overall positive experience. The food was not only very tasty, but also lovingly prepared and attractively presented. Every bite was a pleasure and you can tell that fresh ingredients and a lot of care are used here. The service was extremely friendly and attentive without being intrusive. It was nice to see how the team put their heart and soul into their work and always had a smile on their faces. I was also impressed by the atmosphere in the restaurant. The interior is tasteful and inviting, with a charming mix of Italian flair and cozy atmosphere. You immediately feel at home and can enjoy your meal in a relaxed environment. Overall, a wonderful place to indulge in culinary delights. I will definitely come back!

The food was average for high prices. Very salty chicken pizza and Caesar salad. Too much garlic in pasta that blocked all other flavours. And, the description of food is different from reality that might be a problem for allergy sufferers.

We had a wonderful evening with a really delicious meal and were served in a very friendly and thoughtful manner. The "Il Gondoliere" is definitely worth recommending and we will be happy to come back...

Unfortunately I cannot recommend this restaurant at all. The atmosphere is anything but inviting. The owner often sits where the guests are eating and smokes, which is not only disturbing but also unhygienic. He also appears unkempt, with greasy hair and a generally unclean appearance. The waitress also doesn't seem to care about appropriate clothing as she regularly works in sports leggings, which doesn't fit the ambience of a restaurant at all. To make matters worse, there are always screaming children running around, making it impossible to eat in peace. Given the bad experience, I think the prices are way too high and the price-performance ratio is absolutely not justified. I definitely won't come back and can only advise against visiting this restaurant.

Wonderful family atmosphere with an expansive menu of traditional Italian dishes. We visited recently, and ordered a variety of items (antipasto, pasta Bolognese, pizza, pasta Carbonara, calamari). Every member of our family was quite pleased. The restaurant offers both indoor and outdoor (sidewalk) seating. Would recommend.

We were there today, the food tasted very good and was very nicely prepared. The restaurant is very tastefully decorated and has a nice atmosphere. Service very friendly and accommodating. We would be happy to come back when we end up in Wiesbaden.

Wir sind öfters mit mehreren Gruppen da und jedesmal, sind wir von der exzellenten Küche begeistert und der Hochwertigen Gerichte wie argentinische Steaks aus Lamm aus Neuseeland. Ein tolles Ambiente und sehr sehr nettes Personal sorgen für ein Wohlgefühl. Wir hatten Pasta, Pizza und Steaks und waren alle äußerst zufrieden und glücklich. Die Gastgeber haben sich sehr gut um uns gekümmert und für eine grandiose Unterhaltung gesorgt. Unser neuer Stammlokal in Wiesbaden. Gehobenes Etablissement und tolle Lage. Very tasty food. Seasoned a little differently.

Ich war mit 2 Geschäftspartnern eines großen asiatischen Unternehmens zum Mittagessen. Leider sind wir nicht gut bedient worden. Zu unfreundlich und einfach zu langsam. Das Essen war eher durchschnittlich und die Bedienung hat das Bier übergeschwappt, ohne sich zu entschuldigen. Die Gerichte sind auch nicht wirklich authentisch. Ich habe mich für meine ausländischen Partner geschämt und werde nicht mehr kommen.

Positive: - Food tasty and high quality. The ingredients are fresh and it tastes simple. - On site the staff is friendly and the service is good. Negative: - With 3 online orders and one on-site visit, the food I chose was only available once. This means that the ingredients are fresh and won't sit around forever. Nevertheless: If a dish is generally only available in between, then please put it on the daily menu. - I was very annoyed the last time I ordered online. One of the dishes I ordered was not available. Received a call and expressed my wish to cancel. The lady reacted with irritation and said she was calling Lieferando. Another call, yes you can't cancel, I would have to do it via the app. Okay, then I ordered something else. That was simply a lie. You cannot cancel via the app. This has to happen from the restaurant. I knew this because I had already had a similar situation - the restaurant offered to cancel on its own initiative. I would have expected that because of the difference in the amount between the order and the food delivered, there would be a cola or some other "delicacy". That was not the case. Of course you can keep the money from Paypal via Lieferando. It was only about a few euros, so my consequence is simply not to order there anymore. In principle, it's not really customer-friendly to behave like that. My conclusion: Eating on site -> clear recommendation, as long as you are flexible when choosing the dish. Order online -> no recommendation.

Wir sind nicht zufrieden gewesen. Wir waren zu dritt und wollten zunächst Cocktails trinken, um dann danach etwas zu essen. Wir wurden aber nicht sonderlich freundlich behandelt. Vermutlich weil man uns lieber direkt etwas zum Essen verkaufen wollte. Wie auch immer. Nicht nett. Die Cocktails waren eher mittelmäßig und dafür zu teuer. Als wir dann mehrfach gefragt wurden, ob wir denn nun endlich etwas essen wollten, war es mit der Gemütlichkeit endgültig vorbei. Wir wollten zahlen und woanders essen gehen. Aber plötzlich war Kartenzahlung nicht möglich, sondern nur Barzahlung. Angeblich sei das Gerät kaputt. Die Rechnung war dann auch noch falsch und zu hoch und der Kellner wollte keinen Beleg ausstellen. Nur eine Notiz auf dem Zettel. Da gehen wir sicher nicht mehr hin.

Ich habe draußen gesessen und italienische Pasta bestellt. Das Essen war ok, aber zu kalt und kam zu spät. Aber was wirklich schlimm war, war dass der Koch immer wieder rauskam, laut telefonierte, dabei rauchte und immer wieder heftig abgehustet hat. Das war derart unangenehm, dass ich nicht zu Ende essen konnte und vorzeitig zählte und ging

Wir waren beide leider nicht zufrieden. Wir saßen an einem ganz netten Tisch aber es war viel zu laut. Die Bedienung hat sich auch ständig sehr laut mit den vollen Nachbartischen unterhalten, die wohl alle zur Familie gehörten oder Freunde waren. Sie wurden bevorzugt bedient und wir mussten lange warten. Die Musik war dazu auch noch sehr laut und keineswegs italienisch, eher arabisch. Die Portionen waren klein und das Essen war naja.

Location: In the middle of Taunusstrasse and surrounded by pleasant neighbors such as cafes, restaurants and antique shops... Parking is limited, but you can easily get there on foot or by bus. The atmosphere: A very pleasant one. Clean, no typical Italian furniture or furnishings, but it was pleasant, although wall decoration is of course always a matter of taste. :) There is definitely a lot of space and even in summer you can sit outside and enjoy the hustle and bustle of the surrounding area. I found it comfortable. Staff: Very, very friendly! So I really have to emphasize that. I immediately felt welcome and the young woman always made sure that I was well looked after. Eat: I got a decent amount for the money. To put it bluntly, I decided on salmon pasta. A good choice. The salmon was nice and tender and the cheese sauce wasn't overpowering. A lot. a bit too much salt, but otherwise it tasted very good. The Aperol was also well mixed. Price: Price slightly higher than elsewhere but absolutely appropriate for what you get (and where) and the service. I paid around €27 for the pasta and an Aperol. I felt very comfortable and will definitely come back if the opportunity arises.

Fajitas is Germany! Yea and they are amazing!!!! Plus fun party events. Give this hidden gem a try.

Went there on a Sunday afternoon a couple of weeks ago. I got spinach tortellini and my wife got a filet. The meal was excellent, service was also very good. We returned on Valentines day and they had a special menu for the night. I think at least some of the regular menu was available, but we tried the fajitas. We've heard that there is no good Mexican food in Wiesbaden, but their fajitas were very good. The accompanying sides (sour cream, guacamole, tomatilla salsa, garlic mayo?) were not exact replacements for the ones we'd see in America, but they were good. The steak, peppers, onion, and mushroom were pretty spot on though. They were very good, although definitely not exactly what we'd expect at home. All the meals we've had or seen looked delicious, and all seemed to be enjoying. We'll definitely be back. The churros were fantastic, perhaps the best we've had. My wife is sensitive to undercooked Dough and most places make churros so thick that they aren't always cooked through. These were thinner, crispy on the outside and fluffy inside. They're served with confectioners sugar and cinnamon along with a great chocolate syrup. Our service was terrific both times. On valentine's day, they were definitely busy but we got plenty of attention and never lacked for anything. Management was present at the front of the house, checking on you and making polite conversation. Always a sign of a good establishment. Our English and very broken German were tolerated with ease and we didn't feel out of place. Prices were excellent, especially considering the quality of the service and meals.

Schlimmer geht's nimmer. Essen kam nach 1 Stunde, obwohl der Laden leer war. Das Essen (Gemüse) war lapprig und ölig. Irgendwie aus der TK Tüte. Im Hintergrund lief irgendwelche Bauchtanz artige Musik. Das kann ja schön sein, ist aber nicht wirklich italienisch. Die Bedienung war überfordert. zwei kleine Kinder - vom Besitzer? - rannten unentwegt laut herum. Am Ende habe ich noch lange schwarze Haare im Essen gefunden. mein freundlichen Hinweise wurden einfach ignoriert. 43,50 waren weg. Finger weg!

Super nice staff. Fun atmosphere. Unfortunately the food is just awful. It is also very expensive. The quality of the meat seems to be very low. We did not enjoy one thing we ordered. There is a much better Italian restaurant on the same street and they basically charge the same prices. If I return it will simply be for a drink.

Unfortunately, it was a complete failure. From the pictures the restaurant looked pretty good. But the ambience with Arabic Turkish background music was unfortunately out of place in an advertised Italian restaurant. If only the food had been good, it would have been something positive, but for the price it's just outrageous. The fries were just limp and limp. The fried vegetables were literally soaked in oil.

Personal war freundlich u bemüht, hatte teilweise keinen Plan! Die Beilagen wurden falsch verteilt, die Bedienung wusste nicht, welche Beilagen zu welchem Menü gehört und der Wein wurde vergessen, erst nach zweimaliger Errinnerung serviert und aufs Hauptgericht haben wir mehr als 2 h gewartet. Das Steak war leider kalt und auf dem Steak lag ein Stück Plastik. Wer italienischen Flair sucht, findet ihn in diesem Restaurant leider nicht! Leider hat uns auch die Qualität des Essens nicht überzeugt, die Sauce hat geschmeckt wie aus der Tüte.. insgesamt wirklich enttäuschend.. schade!!

The first time I dined at IL Gondolier was not what I expected. Shortly after I sat down it was time to take your kids to work when one of the waitresses showed up with two little ones in tow. Who knows, maybe it was even the owner. But I soon realized that Grandma and Grandpa were sitting directly across a table from me while the kids were running and screaming and even playing and throwing a balloon in the air between customers. Nobody had a peaceful dinner tonight. I ordered a Caesar salad and what came was a salad in a tortilla bowl with chicken, lettuce, tomatoes, cucumbers, peppers, beets, carrots and corn with French dressing. I confirmed to the waiter that it was the Caesar salad and he said yes. Nothing remotely reminds me of a Caesar salad, but the chicken was seasoned fantastically. I also ordered carbonara with salmon and as a result came fettuccine with a bright orange cheddar cheese based sauce with tomatoes and spinach and a few small pieces of salmon in the form of square cubes and the fish had no flavor at all. Please see photo. First and last time in this restaurant! I took two bites and told the other waitress it wasn't good, so he took my plate and I ended up paying for everything!

You can easily give this Spanish-Italian ristorante 5*. A lovely ambience with white tablecloths and cloth napkins, clean glasses and cutlery and a menu that has something for everyone. A sophisticated Italian cuisine that stands up to the price-performance ratio in the heart of Wiesbaden. We had fish soup with a lot of fish and two different pasta dishes. Terrific! We were served very friendly. Special requests were taken into account. We had a great evening, also thanks to the entertaining conversation while we ordered. Note: There is also lunch and live music once a month. CONCLUSION: Go and see for yourself.

Ich war heute das erste Mal in Wiesbaden. Die Auswahl ist groß an Restaurants. Ich bin froh, dass ich mich für dieses entschieden habe. Der Service war hervorragend, die Aufmerksamkeit war immer beim Gast. Ehrliche Freundlichkeit findet man nicht überall. Hier kommt es von Herzen. Das Essen war ausgezeichnet. Vorspeise, Hauptgang und Nachtisch, es war alles sehr lecker. Man hat sich Pudelwohl gefühlt (obwohl ich alleine war) das ist schwierig und doch haben sie es geschafft! 5 Sterne plus.

Dem Slogan "anspruchsvolle Küche" wird das Lokal nicht ansatzweise gerecht. Aber von Anfang an: Die beiden sehr jungen Servicekräfte waren bemüht und nett aber, obwohl das Lokal nicht voll war, hoffnungslos überfordert und unkoordiniert. Leider wird beim Servicepersonal oft am falschen Ende gespart. Auch das Essen war eine Enttäuschung und die Deko auf dem Tellerrand konnte nicht über die lahmen Nudeln hinwegtäuschen… Da fehlte jegliches Geschmacksaroma. Und hej, Nudeln und Nudelsaucen macht jeder Italiener im Schlaf. Auch das Tiramisu lockte keinen hinterm Ofen vor. Ein Tiramisu ohne Amaretto, Kaffee und Mascarpone ist wie Zaziki ohne Knobi und Gurke. Die Krönung war dann, dass ich für die Nudeln mit Lachs, bei denen der Lachs -das teuerste am Gericht- abbestellt wurde, dennoch den vollen Preis bezahlen müsste. Sorry aber hier muss jemand echt noch seine Hausaufgaben machen. Schade. Wir kommen nicht wieder

Ein kulinarisches Meisterwerk der italienisch-spanischen Fusion! Ich hatte kürzlich das Vergnügen, das Restaurant mit italienisch-spanischer Fusion zu besuchen, und ich kann mit Sicherheit sagen, dass es sich hierbei um eine absolut bemerkenswerte kulinarische Erfahrung handelt. Von dem Moment an, als ich den eleganten Eingang betrat, wurde ich von der warmen Atmosphäre und dem stilvollen Ambiente des Restaurants begrüßt. Die geschickte Verschmelzung von italienischem und spanischem Dekor schafft eine einladende Umgebung, die perfekt zu der Fusion der beiden Küchen passt. Die Speisekarte war eine beeindruckende Auswahl an Gerichten, die die besten Aromen beider Länder miteinander verbanden. Das Serviceteam war äußerst aufmerksam und kenntnisreich und half mir bei der Auswahl der Gerichte, die meine Geschmacksknospen sicherlich verwöhnten. Als Vorspeise entschied ich mich für die "Tapas Italia", eine innovative Interpretation spanischer Tapas mit einem Hauch von italienischem Einfluss. Die Kombination aus luftigem Parmesan-Churro und herzhafter Serrano-Schinken-Carpaccio war ein wahrer Genuss für den Gaumen. Das Hauptgericht, "Paella al Pesto", war eine brillante Verschmelzung von Spaniens berühmtem Reisgericht mit der köstlichen Intensität eines frischen Pesto. Die Meeresfrüchte waren perfekt zubereitet, und die Verwendung von saftigen Kirschtomaten fügte eine angenehme süße Note hinzu. Für den krönenden Abschluss wählte ich das "Tiramisu de Churros" - eine geniale Kombination aus dem italienischen Klassiker Tiramisu und knusprigen spanischen Churros. Jeder Bissen war ein harmonisches Zusammenspiel von Texturen und Geschmacksrichtungen. Die Weinkarte bot eine erstklassige Auswahl an italienischen und spanischen Weinen, die perfekt zu den Gerichten passten und meine Mahlzeit auf wunderbare Weise begleiteten. Alles in allem war mein Besuch in diesem Restaurant ein wahrhaftig unvergessliches Erlebnis. Die gekonnte Fusion der italienischen und spanischen Küche, das elegante Ambiente und der erstklassige Service machen dieses Restaurant zu einem Muss für Feinschmecker und Gourmet-Liebhaber. Ich kann es kaum erwarten, zurückzukehren und weitere kulinarische Entdeckungen zu machen! Ivan

Very kind restaurant, everything is home made and the service seems family owned, they pay great attention to detail and make sure that you feel just at home. Food is a tasty mix of Mediterranean specialities, so it’s not limited to great pizza but also Spanish tapas which are great. When in Wiesbaden I can clearly recommend this place.

Essen und Service waren sehr gut. Die Vorspeise (Nachos und Avocado) war ziemlich groß.

Hat unsere Erwartungen mit 4 Pers. nicht erfüllt. Vorspeise: 1. Wir hatten eine Tapasvorspeise für 2 Personen. Sehr üppig ( langt für 4) leider nichts hausgemacht. Eine Fischsuppe ;die war gut. Ein vorspeisensalat mit Hühnchen; war ganz ok Hauptspeise: Paella für 2 Pers.; zu trocken und kein Paella reis, sondern basmati. Nudeln mit Shrimps, Spinat und leider einer Sahnesosse aus dem Päckchen Rumpsteak mit einer Rahmsosse (Päckchen); Steak zu zäh. Für dieses Essen haben wir mit Getränken 240 € gezahlt. Zwei Familienmitglieder, die Steak gegessen haben, haben in der Nacht , das Steak nicht bei sich behalten.

Freundlicher Empfang, das Lokal ist renoviert, das Ambiente ist jetzt sehr schön und gepflegt. Die Ribey-Steaks waren sehr gut und "auf den Punkt" gegrillt. Die Fritten, die Rosmarin-Kartoffeln und der Salat passten ausgezeichnet dazu. Das hervorragende Tiramisu als Abschluss war zwar schon "etwas" zu viel, schmeckte aber sehr gut. Der Chef des Lokals hat sich mit uns unterhalten, er bemüht und kümmert sich gut um seine Gäste. Insgesamt, das Preisniveau ist zwar gehoben, allerdings der Qualität der angebotenen Speisen absolut angemessen.

Sehr gutes Essen, leider bei der Lieferbestellung den Nachtisch vergessen, Nachlieferung nicht möglich, der Besitzer hat sofort einen 15 € Gutschein angeboten. Dennoch sehr schade, dass es vergessen wurde... Dennoch kann man des Essen sehr empfehlen!

Super freundliche Mitarbeiter super Essen! Kommentar von Christian @keinereise kann ich nicht nachvollziehen weil ich neben denen als Gast saß! Die Dame hatte sich mehrmals entschuldigt, als Mann so mit Frauen umzugehen unverständlich zumal ihm alles angeboten wurde und er alles abgelehnt hatte ! Das was der geschrieben hat als feedback ist total falsch !!! Es war Valentinstag und es ist klar, das man mit Wartezeit rechnen musste. Der Herr hatte weder benehmen noch Anstand noch Verständnis oder Geduld ! Natürlich wurde ihm ein Getränk vom Inhaber aus auf Haus serviert.

Es dauerte ein wenig, bis wir unsere Bestellung aufgeben konnten. Dann verging die Zeit… keine Nachfrage ob der leeren Getränkegläser... ich wollte eigentlich schon gehen, aber es war mittlerweile spät, schließlich war ein Essen geplant. Um 20.59 kam das Essen meiner Begleitung, leider aber nicht meines. Es wurde offensichtlich, dass meine Bestellung vergessen worden war, aber sie sollte in 2 Minuten kommen. Nach 10 Minuten (in der Regel pflege ich gemeinsam mit meiner Begleitung zu essen) kam erst eine falsche Vorspeise, dann ein falsches Hauptgericht. Als ich dies reklamierte, wurde mir erklärt, dass ich dieses Essen bestellt hätte. Anmerkung: Mehrere Gäste warteten ebenfalls sehr lange, außerdem konnte man beobachten, dass Gerichte planlos zwischen verschiedenen Tischen hin- und hergereicht wurden. Eine heimatlose Pizza wurde verschenkt. Das Essen war gut und wir verlangten die Rechnung. Dann bestände ja die Möglichkeit evtl. ein Essen, oder zwei Getränke zu streichen und darauf hinzuweisen, dass heute leider einiges schiefgelaufen wäre…, bewusste Wahl des Konjunktiv. Nach Bezahlung wollte ich der Dame (Besitzerin/Geschäftsführerin?) unser Erlebnis sachlich schildern. Zunächst kam eine halbherzige Entschuldigung. Da es aber leider sehr viele Kritikpunkte gab, wurde das für sie allerdings wohl enervierend und sie wollte das Gespräch wie folgt (tatsächlich!) freundlich beenden: „Wollen wir uns jetzt streiten?“ Nein gute Frau, ich wollte nicht streiten, sondern, dass sie realisieren, dass wir bei Ihnen einen extrem unbefriedigenden Abend verleben durften. Bemerkenswert war, dass sich die junge Bedienung, bei der wir bezahlten, von sich aus entschuldigte und uns zumindest einen Grappa angeboten hat. Fazit: Bitte reflektieren Sie, dass sich das Gewerbe , in dem Sie tätig sind, nicht grundlos als GASTronomie bezeichnet.

Freitag Abend spontan entschieden, das Restaurant Il Gondoliere zu besuchen, da es im Schlemmerblock zu finden ist und man dadurch was neues kennenlernt. Bei der Bestellung wurden wir darauf hingewiesen, dass der Schlemmerblock Freitag und Samstag nicht einlösbar ist. Diese Info ist allerdings nirgends zu finden. Darauf angesprochen wurde uns mitgeteilt, dass es sich um einen Druckfehler handelt. Das wars, kein Entgegenkommen, nichts. Weil wir hungrig waren und uns die Kombi aus italienischen, spanischen und mexikanischen Gerichten interessiert hat, sind wir dennoch geblieben. Wir hatten eine gefüllte Avocado als Vorspeise und als Hauptgericht die Fajjitas. Beide Gerichte waren absolut schmackhaft und auch von der Größe recht üppig. Fazit: zu der Bewertung von drei Sternen kommen wir wegen dem fehlenden Entgegenkommen bzgl. des Schlemmerblocks. Ansonsten schönes Ambiente, grundsätzlich netter Service und gute Gerichte.

Die Bolognese war leider nicht so spannend.

Tolle Gastgeber und das Essen ist außergewöhnliche gut. Mix aus Italienisch und Spanisch. Wir hatten unter anderem die Tappasvorspeisenteller für zwei. Immer gerne wieder

Etwas gehobene Preise, aber auch sehr leckeres Essen. Das Rumpsteak ist klar eine Empfehlung und Medium Rare ist tatsächlich auch Medium Rare :)

Sehr schönes Restaurant. Preis Leistung super! Essen sehr lecker. Personal super freundlich. Ein Tipp: bitte beim Caeser Salad das Balsamico als Deko weg lassen. Vermischt sich mit der Caeser Soße und passt geschmacklich nicht.

Fazit: Pasta auf den Punkt! Wenngleich das Manomano sich vom klassischen Italiener wohl zum Steak-Restraurant mit Pasta erfinden möchte, so ist festzuhalten, dass alle bestellen Pasta Gerichte al dente waren. Saucen mit Geschmackstiefe machen Lust nochmal zu kommen. Abzug weil das kleine 1x1 nicht eingehalten wurde: Teller nicht vorgewärmt und „der Tellerrand gehört dem Gast“, nicht einer Petersiliendeko die nichts mit dem Gericht zu tun hat. Dennoch, sehr stilvoll eingerichtet und Geschmacklich grandios. Weiter so!

Wenn man mal wirklich gut speisen möchte in angenehmer Atmosphäre, kann man das Il Gondoliere nur empfehlen! Das wunderbar renovierte Ambiente, verbunden mit freundlicher Bewirtung macht jeden Besuch zu einem Genuss. Wer einmal das Il Gondoliere "genossen hat", wird immer wieder zurückkehren, um sich wiederum verwöhnen zu lassen mit den Köstlichkeiten der Küche.

Das Personal hielt die Covid-Maßnahmen ein und war freundlich, das Mittagsmenü gut und günstig. Eine EC-Zahlung war leider nicht möglich, ferner war das WC offensichtlich seit Tagen nicht gereinigt worden.

My son, (who lives in Germany) and I went to Il Gondoliere in Wiesbaden, to celebrate a special evening. On arrival, no-one asked for our vaccination status or I.D; mandatory at the time and odd, because we were the only diners and they had plenty of time to check us. The food was just ok; the vegetarian section of the menu only offered Penne with Pesto or Arrabbiata, so not very imaginative. I ordered a glass of the only dry Riesling on their menu. It was obviously ‘corked’ on arrival; the colour being dark; the smell and taste confirmed my suspicion. I asked for a replacement glass ( which they later charged me for!!). The manager informed me that I had wrongly chosen a Riesling ‘classic’ rather than ‘original’. There was only one choice on the menu! My experience of Riesling drinking over the years made me realise that this man was trying to cover up for this undrinkable and disappointing glass he had delivered to my table. Asking for the bill at the end of a very underwhelming meal, we were told they had no card machine and could we pay in cash. They couldn’t supply an actual bill and we later discovered we had been overcharged too. We left feeling very disappointed and uncomfortable; we had left a tip but it was not deserved. We found out the following day that the restaurant had changed owners recently and that the new owner was obviously trading on the good reputation the previous owner had created.

I came here for a meal whilst here for a business trip. The restaurant had a good feel about it, albeit quiet, and nice decor. It took a while to get served, despite there only being a couple of us in there, but the food came quickly and was really good. Unfortunately the staff member spent all of the time I was in the restaurant talking loudly on his phone, which I found very off putting and unnecessary as he could have gone elsewhere. He was also 'good enough' to assume he could keep the change as a tip after he told me the card machine didnt work and I had to pay cash. Not quiet the way it works in my experience. A real shame that what could have been a lovely dining experience was let down by some basic service failings. I'm sure the kitchen staff worked hard to produce the lovely meal, which was then devalued by the front of house service.
