The service was a disaster from the start. Zero friendliness, no smile... you felt like you were being disturbed. And the prices don't come from bad parents. We were just visiting...but we would never go there again.

Delicious food with friendly service. We had a delicious Italian meal here for our birthday and would definitely come back. All of the food, whether starters, main courses or desserts, was very tasty, but nothing unusual. What is unfortunately somewhat in short supply here is the space at the table. We ate very closely and unfortunately also half in the aisle, which is a bit uncomfortable in the long run. A reservation is strongly recommended as it is always full and it is difficult to get a spot spontaneously. We would also eat here again.

Addendum 2024: May, reservation without problems, service was nice at the beginning, reserved after a complaint. Food was average this time, rolls as a side were definitely from yesterday, after a complaint this was new. Pizza dough rather dry, mussels very watery instead of spicy, beef gazpachio rather bland. Cocktails without alcohol, no... In the past, espresso was given as a gift from the house... Vacation in Radebeul, we were looking for a nice restaurant and found it. We made a reservation by phone and everything went well. Corona rules were well adhered to with table spacing. Sat in the beautiful garden, everything covered, very nice in this beautiful weather... Not all waiters wore masks, disinfection of tables and chairs questionable, very free interpretation of the rules in Saxony?! We were here for dinner, a very nice boss (waiter) told us what was special today, we had a very good antipasti platter for two as a starter and then pasta with scampi and mussels, everything was very tasty... Prices were very reasonable and... not influenced by Corona. Thank you for the nice evening, see you next time...

Unfortunately we didn't have a good experience here. Food: My companion's spaghetti gamberoni was simply an imposition. The prawns were apparently thrown straight into the pan and served to the customer as they were. I have never seen king prawns served unpeeled in a restaurant, especially since they are already in a tomato sauce. A waiter walking past simply gave us a plate for the bowls. After peeling the piping hot shrimp, smearing our hands with the tomato sauce, we discovered that they weren't even deveined. In my opinion, animal excrement has no place on the customer's plate in a restaurant. This didn't seem to be a problem for the various waiters who walked past our table. They didn't even ask if everything was okay. The tomato sauce itself wasn't anything special. We would have liked more classic Italian spices (basil, oregano, garlic and possibly thyme) and perhaps more time for the flavors to be transferred into the sauce. A good tomato sauce has to simmer for several hours and cannot be thrown together in a few minutes. My spaghetti alla carbonara was average. I don't expect any special ingredients either, because from my point of view the beauty of this dish is the possibilities it offers a cook to create a special meal with just a few simple ingredients by improving the technique, texture and quality of the ingredients. From my point of view, the amount of guanciale (meat) was significantly saved. This no longer had any texture of its own because the pieces were so small and thinly sliced. I think that's a shame, because this expensive product accounts for a significant part of the quality of the dish. The portion size was generally okay. Service: We had reserved a table for two people for lunch the day before. When we arrived on site, the waiter asked about the reservation, pointed to our table from several meters away and left again. There was no greeting at all. In general the waiter made a very unfriendly impression. You had the feeling of being a nuisance and being left behind somewhere. The waiter then brought the cards, pointed to a sign and explained that these were today's specials and then walked away straight away. From other restaurants, I'm used to the specials being presented orally and their composition explained. The waiter came back again after a few minutes to take the drink order. I asked what wine the waiter recommended with a carbonara. The waiter couldn't relate to my question, so I repeated it. The waiter replied that it depends on whether I prefer red or white wine. I stated that I preferred white wine. The waiter then said that there was meat in the carbonara, so he recommended a red wine and showed us a bottle that, according to his experience, went very well with it. Since I'm not a wine connoisseur myself, I relied on this recommendation and ordered a glass. It later turned out that the taste of the wine did not match the carbonara in any way. A friend who is knowledgeable in this area explained to me later the same day that a white wine would have been much better. I don't think it's a bad thing if not every waiter can make competent recommendations about the wine list. However, I expect the waiter to bring over a colleague who knows his way around. Ambiance: We were seated at a table right next to a group of ten, even though the rest of the restaurant was almost completely empty. The atmosphere was more like a beer garden than an upscale restaurant. This impression was furthered by all the waiters who constantly walked past our table, as it was right next to the passage to the kitchen.

Food is good and tasty. The waiter (outside) was a bit too snooty. Got picked on because the chef and waiter forgot a meal. It was too late for him that we told him. One of the employees' dogs constantly barks indoors.

I really enjoy coming here, the selection is perfect, whether salad, pizza or pasta, everything is delicious, with an Italian flair. The service is competent, friendly with a touch of holiday. Thank you very much and always very much appreciated!

Real Italian pizzeria restaurant in Radebeul! As an Italian, I can easily recommend this place to everyone! Delicious pizza and wonderful dishes of fish, meat and homemade pasta. And at the end a good tiramisu and a grappa!

Very tasty food and great service. The owner is also very fond of animals. We always like to come back or take a few pizzas to go.

You can feel comfortable at Il Faro. The service is warm and helps with the selection. Aside from the menu, there are always daily specials and recommendations. There is a decent pizza oven, good wine from the family (Uncle Mimino) and very good pasta dishes. The waiting times are kept to a minimum, so you can also eat there with children. We always enjoy coming to Il Faro.

Typisches italienisches Restaurant im Herzen von Radebeul. Authentische Küche von Pizza über Pasta zu Fisch/Fleisch und wechselnden Tagesmenues. Bei unserem Besuch sehr gut besucht - Reservierung am Wochenende empfehlenswert.

Etwas chaotisch und laut. Speisen wurden vergessen. Relativ teuer geschmacklich OK aber nicht herausragend

Sehr nettes Ambiente (wir saßen draußen), etwas unfreundliches Personal. Dafür die Pizza sehr lecker und die Kinderpizza war fast genauso groß wie die normale. Die Nudeln mit Miesmuscheln waren fürchterlich, nicht verzehrbar. Der Geruch der Nudeln erinnerte an einen Stall. Ich bin mir nicht sicher, ob das so sein musste...

Hat insgesamt ganz gut geschmeckt. Aber so richtiges Italien Feeling wollte nicht aufkommen.

Nette Bedienungen, leckeres Essen, nur das Dach im Außenbereich ist leider bei Regen nicht ganz dicht.

Dopo una settimana di cibo locale finalmente ho ritrovato i sapori della cucina italiana qui. Indeciso tra carne e pizza alla fine ho scelto la seconda, ho ordinato una pizza fuori lista con ingredienti scelti da me, non hanno obiettato ed il risultato finale è andato oltre le mie aspettative. L'ho mangiata con calma per gustarmela piano piano. E poi, per finire, il tiramisù fatto in casa.....pura follia!! Ne avrei mangiati tanti altri, fino a scoppiare. Cucina ottima, servizio impeccabile, mangerò qui ogni volta che avrò l'occasione di fermarmi a Dresda.

Stabile Qualität, Essen war sehr lecker, Portionen teilweise etwas klein. Kinder haben netterweise das Essen zuerst bekommen. Der Service war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, das Ambiente ist gemütlich. Tip top 👍

Pasta und Pizza waren sehr gut, der empfohlene Wein ebenfalls und der Service natürlich auch.

Freundlich, beim leckeren Essen ist Preis/Leistung angemessen. Edit: Seit einer Weile geht die Pizza gar nicht. Der Geschmack an sich ist gut, aber der Pizzabäcker hats irgendwie nicht drauf. Man muss sie zu Hause fertig backen,dann gehts.

Wir waren am 19.02.2023 zum Abendessen. Als Fischesser interessierte mich die Dorade, die auf dem Tagesgericht stand. Danke, danke, danke! Sie war gut gegrillt und sehr lecker. Die Pizza meiner Tochter war auch lecker, sagt sie.
