Il Cavallo - Ristorante, Pizzeria in Ingolstadt

Wir haben unseren 10. Hochzeitstag im Il Cavalo gefeiert und hätten uns keinen schöneren Abend wünschen können. Das Essen war einfach unfassbar lecker – jedes Gericht frisch, authentisch und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Besonders hervorheben möchten wir den großartigen Service: Die Bedienung war durchgehend aufmerksam, unglaublich nett und sehr höflich. Man hat sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens aufgehoben gefühlt. Zu unserem Hochzeitstag wurde der Tisch sogar liebevoll dekoriert und wir wurden mit einem Glas Prosecco aufs Haus überrascht – eine wirklich wunderschöne Geste, die den Abend für uns noch besonderer gemacht hat. Vielen Dank an das gesamte Team für diesen unvergesslichen Abend. Wir kommen ganz sicher wieder!

Update: Wir wurden inzwischen telefonisch kontaktiert. Es gab eine ausführliche Entschuldigung sowie eine nachvollziehbare Erklärung. Zusätzlich wurde uns ein persönlicher Termin angeboten, um die Situation vollständig zu klären. Diese Bereitschaft zur Aufarbeitung bewerte ich positiv, daher hebe ich meine Bewertung vorläufig auf 3 Sterne. Ursprüngliche Bewertung: Leider zum zweiten und letzten Mal enttäuscht. Wir hatten eine Bestellung mit klarer Abholzeit aufgegeben und wurden erneut versetzt. Vor Ort wurde uns dann mitgeteilt, dass unsere Bestellung „nach hinten gestellt“ wurde, weil jemand eine größere Bestellung aufgegeben hatte. Im Klartext: Abholtermine werden hier ignoriert, sobald jemand anderes mehr bestellt. Das ist inzwischen das zweite Mal, dass genau das passiert. Statt einer Entschuldigung gab es vor Ort nur Vertröstungen. Für mich zeigte das deutlich, welchen Stellenwert Kunden hier haben. Für mich war das der letzte Besuch – zumindest bis zur angekündigten Klärung.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolute Empfehlung! Wir waren rundum begeistert. Die Pizza war hervorragend, perfekt gebacken, mit frischen Zutaten und geschmacklich einfach top. Auch die Pasta war ausgezeichnet und sehr liebevoll zubereitet. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das äußerst nette, aufmerksame und freundliche Personal. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens aufgehoben. Der Service war schnell, herzlich und professionell. Das gesamte Ambiente lädt zum Wohlfühlen ein und macht den Besuch zu einem echten Genuss. Wir kommen gerne wieder und können das Il Cavallo uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen! 5 Sterne von uns, so stellt man sich ein gutes italienisches Restaurant vor! 🇮🇹🍕🍝✨

Beste Pizza,der Servic und das Essen Top

Der wohl beste Italiener in Ingolstadt. Toll gelegen am Reiterhof. Preis/Leistung top! Die gegrillte Fischplatte ein Traum, der Meeresfrüchtesalat ein Geheimtipp. Aber natürlich sind auch die Pizzen spitze. Personal absolut seriös, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Pasta-Gerichte wie in Napoli... Wer einmal dort war, kommt immer wieder. Danke, Danke ! Tisch sollte besser reserviert werden.

Sehr guter Italiener. Alles was wir bekommen haben war sehr gut und lecker. Die Pizzen haben eine gute Grösse und waren sehr gut. Auch die Nudel waren sehr gut. Es wäre schön gewesen wenn hier ein wenig mehr auf dem Teller gewesen wäre - die Portion war ausreichend, es hätte allerdings auch nicht weh getan wenn ein paar Gramm mehr auf dem Teller gewesen wäre. Die Bedienung war sehr freundlich. Hat alles gepasst. Update 19.04.26 wir waren gesten wieder zu Besuch im Restaurant. Unsere Reservierung war von 17 bis 19:15 Uhr. In dieser Zeit war es diesesmal nicht möglich Vorspeise, Hauptspeise und Dessert zu bekommen. Wir mussten das Dessert auf der Terasse zu uns nehmen. Das fand ich doof. Entweder sollte das Essen so schnell da sein, dass man alles am Platz zu sich nehmen kann, oder wenn das küchentechnisch nicht möglich ist sollte man den Gästen mehr Zeit einplanen. Das fand ich dieses mal enttäuschend. Die Togo Pizzen wurden permanent rausgegeben. Wenn die Pizzen der Gäste genauso schnell rausgegeben worden wären, hätte es mit dem Dessert am Platz auch geklappt. Desserts waren auch nur limitiert zur Verfügung.

Immer wieder nett und best Pizza around (frisch aus dem Ofen). Sehr freundliches Personal. Daher auch (abends) immer was los - keine Hektik mitbringen 😀

Waren das 1. Mal spontan ab ca. 15.00 Uhr da. Wollten Spätmittag essen gehen. Küche war aber mit warm Speisen schon zu. Kein Problem, bekamen dafür eine mega Antipasti-Platte vom Feinsten. Anschließend Tiramisu und Mousse alla fragola e ciaccolato. Mein Mann hat nicht genug bekommen und wir haben bis zum Abendessen gewartet, Warmküche ab 16.30 Uhr. Waren auch total begeistert und wir würden jederzeit dieses Lokal weiterempfehlen. Von der Freundlickeit bis zum Service hin eine Note 1. Wir kommen wieder. Macht bitte weiter so.

Sehr freundlicher und zuvorkommender Besitzer und auch sehr freundliche Servicekräfte. Keine lange Wartezeit auf das Essen. Absolute Empfehlung! Ich war im Cavallino in Hagau und bin wirklich begeistert. Das Essen war super lecker – sowohl die italienischen Gerichte als auch die Pizza sind absolut top und mit viel Liebe zubereitet. Der Service war einfach perfekt: sehr aufmerksam, freundlich und herzlich. Man fühlt sich sofort willkommen, das gesamte Team ist total nett und sorgt für eine tolle Atmosphäre. Wir waren mit 8 Personen auf Empfehlung das erste mal in diesem Restaurant. Sowohl die Gastgeber, als auch das Ambiente haben die Erwartungen übertroffen. Wir haben diverse Speisen als ausgezeichnet empfunden. Dazu die hausgemachten Nachspeisen ... alles perfekt. Die Atmosphäre war vom ersten Moment ( am Telefon) sehr familiär und gastfreundlich. Ganz sicher werden wir dieses Restaurant zu unserem "Highlight" machen ... vielen herzlichen Dank an das gesamte Team!

Nach zwei Jahren mal ein neues Erlebnis und wieder eine 5 Sterne Rezession. Warum ? Tja, - Mittlerweile ist diese Pizzeria unser Lieblingsrestaurant bzw. wenn ich ehrlich bin, unser einziges Restaurant geworden. - Personal nach wie vor immer noch sehr freundlich. - Qualität der Gerichte immer noch auf einen gewohnt hohen Stand. Frische Zutaten die mit Liebe zubereitet werden. Da leider diese Pizzeria sehr oft ausgebucht ist und man wie es auf der Homepage steht, rechtzeitig (eins bis zwei Wochen im voraus) einen Tisch reservieren muss, haben wir uns heute für eine telefonische Bestellung zum abholen entschieden. 1x Penne Quattro Formaggi 1x Pizza Funghi 1x Pizza Frutti di Mare zuzüglich etwas Knopplauchöl Was soll ich sagen? Heute am 21. Februar 2026 pünktlich im Restaurant angekommen, Nr. 200 bezahlt, dann die Pizzen eingepackt. Aber die Nudeln waren noch nicht da. Nach fünf Minuten fragte ich, was da los sei. aber irgendwie ging es hier nicht weiter. Nach 9 Minuten kam die Rückmeldung, hier in der Küche ist was schief gegangen. Ich wurde ungeduldig, da meine Pizzen kalt werden und das mag ich überhaupt nicht, obwohl zuhause drei Teller mit 140 Grad im Backofen warten. Ja ein neuer Mitarbeiter. OK ? dachte ich mir und ich war jetzt nicht mehr so begeistert, da die Pizzen bis ich zu Hause bin, wirkllich kalt sind. Dann kam die Chefin, aus der Küche und bot mir einen kostenlosen Salat oder Dessert an, was ich verneinte. Sofort sagte Sie, du bekommst jetzt zwei neue Pizzen und die zwei ersten Pizzen darfst auch behalten. Ja wie liab ist das denn ? Ich war wirklich sehr überrascht. Zuhause angekommen, Nudeln heiß, zwei Pizzen heiß, meine Frau hatte schon den frischen Salat fertig und der Rotwein stand auf dem Tisch und was soll ich noch sagen ? Wir waren heute das erste Mal dort essen (14.02.2026). Es war von Anfang an, alles einwandfrei. Das Ambiente ist sehr schön. Das Essen und der Wein waren ein Traum. Der Kellner ist sehr zuvorkommend und freundlich :) wir kommen aufjedenfall wieder. Vielen Dank für den schönen Abend! Liebe Grüße.

Ich war heute das erste mal zu Besuch. Was soll ich sagen? Es war einfach excellent. Das Essen war geschmacklich eine 10/10. Der Kellner war sehr zuvorkommend und aufmerksam. Man merkt hier dass sehr viel wert auf Service und kundenbindung gelegt wird. Ich komme gerne wieder und werde das Restaurant definitiv weiter empfehlen.

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 5/5 Sterne Wir waren schon mehrfach hier und sind jedes Mal total begeistert. Die Vorspeisenplatte ist richtig lecker, die Pizza sowieso — man merkt einfach, dass alles mit Liebe gemacht ist. Dazu kommt das gemütliche, schöne Ambiente, in dem man sich direkt wohlfühlt. Diesmal haben wir sogar einen Geburtstag dort gefeiert und es war ein rundum gelungener, richtig schöner Abend. Great atmosphere, Cozy and harmoniously decorated. Attentive and helpful even under stressful conditions. The pizzas were exactly our taste, crispy and well-topped. The pasta dishes were also perfectly seasoned. Excellent wine selection. Definitely recommended! We'll be back.

The food was okay. Service – okay. The role of the host is defined in such a way that no one asks if anyone wants a drink after the main course, or perhaps dessert. Staff only comes to the table when called. After 9:00 p.m., it felt like they were just trying to close the place up quickly and it was better to leave. I understand that service staff get hungry sometimes, too. But is it really necessary for them to eat at the counter while the restaurant is still busy? And then they're not as attentive when it comes to serving guests.

We ordered a portion of bruschetta and two pizzas for two people. The bruschetta and salami pizza were very good, and the portions were very large, so we took a lot to take home. Authentic Italian atmosphere.

This is a lovely restaurant with a welcoming atmosphere and clean, well-maintained restrooms. The staff are friendly and attentive, adding to the overall positive experience. The highlight of the menu is undoubtedly the pizza — it was exceptional. We also tried one of the weekly specials, a fish dish, which was quite good, though ultimately overshadowed by the outstanding quality of the pizza.

We received extremely friendly service both at the bar and later at our table. The food (pizza and salad) was delicious. We'd love to come back soon.

Very attentive staff. The outdoor area is always protected from the sun with umbrellas, and heat lamps are available for cooler temperatures, making it a pleasant place to sit until late at night. Private parking is available. The food is truly delicious. The prices are fantastic.

Eight of us were there for a birthday dinner on Friday at 6:30 p.m., the table was beautifully set and the restaurant is generally very nicely decorated. We all ordered 8 pizzas which were very tasty, but unfortunately we didn't get to eat them until 8:10 p.m. It was very busy in the restaurant, but people who came after us got their food beforehand and the pizzas that were taken away from the house were also out sooner. I don't think that's a good idea because I think the people in the restaurant should have priority. Maybe a small hint that this should be changed, as it has probably been like this several times. (Hear say)

It was my first time here and I really have to say - I'd love to come back again and again! The food and wine are really super delicious and what's even better is the great staff. Here, gastronomy is not just a job, but here gastronomy is still a real way of life - and that is now so rare for us! Even the remaining salmon skin can be wrapped if desired ;-) Great team.

Johann Wolfgang von Goethe already said "Food should first please the eye and then the stomach".! How right he was. The team at Il Cavallo has once again outdone themselves with their culinary creations and I am so grateful that we were able to enjoy it. A small part of our order: Tagliere misto, Terrina di Verdure, Vitello Tonnato, Pesce misto and polenta with truffle and porcini mushrooms. I have never eaten such delicious polenta before. Pure enjoyment...! You're just happier when you've eaten something so delicious. I'm still indulging in the heaven of truffles and porcini mushrooms. Thank you very much, Grazie mille.

You can eat very tasty here. The atmosphere is also very new and nicely decorated. You just need to make a reservation in advance, as there aren't too many seats and these are often full given the good food.

Dear Il Cavallo team, We were with you today with good friends. Vitello Tonnato as a starter was very good. Pizza was delicious and our dessert was to die for. We had millefoglie con crema vaniglia and tiramisu. Delicious. The service was very attentive and quick. We'll definitely come back. P.S. Be sure to drink an espresso - the homemade cantuccini with it are excellent

In my opinion it is one of the best pizzerias in Ingolstadt and the surrounding area. Excellent taste, great and friendly service, cozy and quiet location. The other dishes also looked very tasty and left you wanting more. Nice to sit outside in summer. Absolute recommendation. The espresso is highly recommended, I have never had a better one.

You can't make pizzas better than what you get there. Thin, crispy base and delicious fresh topping. The atmosphere is great, the boss is super friendly and original Italian. If you don't go there or pick it up, given the prices, you probably love frozen goods from Aldi and Lidl.

Very well-kept, small Italian restaurant with excellent food (always with daily dishes) and very friendly service. We have been here several times and are always thrilled; Even the fresh pizza bread is sensational and a good glass of wine, e.g. the Bardolino Rose, you don't need anything more, although you should definitely try the food; Maybe finally an espresso, which is served really hot and in a hot cup and is simply delicious, better even than the espressos at Italian motorway service stations, which I have always considered "best". Be sure to reserve in advance, because there are not that many places and Il Cavallo is no longer an insider tip.

The pizza I ate here is in the top 5 of my best pizzas ever eaten. As a starter I had 4 bruscetta breads and as a dessert a chocolate sufflé —> highly recommended. The service was very friendly and with 3 waiters, no orders were forgotten, and they were always present but not intrusive. The food and drinks came very quickly. For a pizzeria that has only been open for 14 months, I have the greatest respect for how they work as a team here. There were heat lamps outside which kept our place warm. The finale was a limoncello on the house. The price-performance ratio in this pizzeria is great and not overpriced, like in many other pizzerias. Conclusion: clear recommendation in terms of food, service, price and ambience Gladly again!!

Addendum from 8/30/24 (2nd visit) After my review, the owner contacted me and arranged for my husband and I to spend another evening at Il Cavallo. It was a very nice evening. This time everything really worked out. The timing, service and food were excellent. We really appreciate this evening and this courtesy is not to be taken for granted and shows professional service! We would like to thank the entire team for this successful evening and will recommend Il Cavallo under these circumstances. 1st visit Unfortunately the visit was a disappointment for us. We made reservations for 5 people on a Friday at 7pm. The table was previously occupied and we were only able to occupy it at 7:30 p.m. We waited a whole 2 hours for our pizzas!!! The noodles came after 1 hour. We were kept waiting without clear communication. We were not informed when ordering that the pizzas would take longer, so perhaps we would have chosen a different dish. We were offered a limoncello as an apology. Since there were a few drivers among us, we politely declined, but unfortunately no alternative was suggested. The waiters always tried to be friendly, but you could tell that the situation also made them uncomfortable. The pizzas were good, nothing more. Under these conditions I would not recommend the restaurant, although the atmosphere is inviting.

Went to the Cavallo restaurant in Hagau for the first time today. Top service and great pizza! The children were also taken care of. High chair and a special children's menu are also available. All in all, highly recommended!
