✨ If I could give more than five stars, I would. Il Camino is not just a restaurant – it’s a second home, a place filled with warmth, kindness, and genuine heart. Bleona is by far the kindest, most thoughtful person I’ve ever met in the service industry – truly unforgettable. Her husband Sphat (yes, spelled S-P-H-A-T!) is just as kind, and Jürgen is equally warm and welcoming. The whole team is simply incredible. And then there’s Nico – always attentive, always one step ahead. He proactively takes care of the guests, makes sure everyone has what they need, and is especially wonderful with children. He ensures there’s always a kid-friendly meal available, takes the time to engage with the little ones, and brings them lollipops with a big smile – not in a weird way at all, just sincerely kind and sweet. You can feel that it comes from the heart. The wood-fired pizza is extraordinary – beyond delicious, crispy, flavorful, and always perfect. The food overall is fantastic, the service is quick, the drinks are amazing, and every special request is handled with care and grace. If you’re celebrating something – even something small – they’ll notice. One of our friends celebrated her anniversary, and they brought out a beautiful vase for the table. Little gestures like that make all the difference. When I come to Il Camino, it truly feels like coming home – only better, because they actually care more than some families do 😅 And let me not forget Rada’s painting – a stunning piece of art in the restaurant that I can never take my eyes off. Every time I see it, I think: this should be in the Louvre. It’s that beautiful – full of detail, soul, and incredible craftsmanship. Even things like quietly and respectfully clearing the terrace in the evening – just to keep the peace with neighbors – show how much love and mindfulness goes into everything they do. I genuinely can’t imagine life without Il Camino. It’s not just a restaurant. It’s a rare gem. A perfect place. 💫

Very nice at employes and the food is also amazing

Ordered a couple beck’s and spaghetti carbonara, amazing food and beer, great service and the vibes were on top.

Incredibly bad service. Six of us came, and when one person didn't want to order a drink, but the rest did, the entire group had to leave. Never experienced anything like it, and I'll never be back.

From the moment I walked in, Il Cammino delivered an incredible experience. The food was absolutely delicious — every dish was full of flavor and beautifully presented. Bad service and very unfriendly, better go somewhere else!

Honestly, this restaurant was an absolute disaster. The place was really bad. The service was abysmal: unfriendly, slow, and totally disorganized. The tables were dirty when we arrived, and it took forever for anyone to even come and take our order. On top of that, the Peroni beer was warm. When the food finally arrived, the pasta was cold—yes, really cold—and it was the wrong dish! Instead of apologizing or correcting it, we had to pay anyway. Simply unbelievably bad service. Never again!

This isn't an Italian shop. As an Italian, I feel insulted that such things are sold here. Unfortunately, it's often like this here. The pasta with pesto has parsley, not basil. They mix it with cream, and the pizza tastes like a frozen pizza from Gustavogusto. The pasta with tomato sauce tastes so terrible that my boyfriend wouldn't finish it and was a little sour after two bites. Another colleague. We were delivered the wrong food. The prices are outrageously high. I don't understand how this taste can justify this price. And it's way too hot in the shop. Also, the tablecloth was still dirty when it arrived. There was wax on the tablecloth, wine stains, and tomato sauce stains. I really didn't feel comfortable here.

The food and service are very good. Unfortunately, you can only pay in cash, and you're not informed of this beforehand.

I ordered Bruscetta, but unfortunately I hurt my throat due to the hardness. Bruscetta were barely seasoned. Salt and pepper were at the table for seasoning. The passion fruit spritzer I ordered was mixed with a lot of water. Staff was slightly overwhelmed and inattentive. The atmosphere outside is very pleasant. Restaurant wasn't very busy.

The shop made a good impression, the food was actually good, but unfortunately the service was a complete disaster. We had to ask for an ashtray 5 times. Our empty plates were only taken away after 40 minutes. After we paid, we didn't even say goodbye, nothing, the waiter took the money and left without a word. Despite the good pasta, I wouldn't come back for the poor service.

It was nice to sit outside and get something to drink easily

The antipasti starter was really a joke for the money. Waiters were only nice with the first order, then very inattentive and only focused on new customers. It must be clear from the start that you can ONLY pay in cash... almost a no go these days.

Ate a pizza and had an aperitif there, it was nice in the midday sun. At first the service was very friendly, got us a seat and we were able to order straight away. Pizza was good, you can see inside that it is freshly prepared. However, the surface could have been more. The drinks glasses were sticky and didn't feel clean. It wasn't that nice, as were the toilets, they were just disgusting.

After you were warmly welcomed and the order was taken, the service stopped. Food and drinks were brought to the table very half-heartedly. The food was good, you didn't have to think about reordering and someone only came to pay when asked. The atmosphere is very spartan and outdated. Can be done better.

The food is sold differently by employees and false hopes were raised. When confronted with the fact that my food wasn't what I expected, the plate was taken out of my hand and told that if I wanted that, I would have to pay extra again. Very unfriendly staff, the shop is next to a construction site, homeless people sleep nearby, and the food is mediocre at best! I can only strongly advise against a visit!!!

I have never eaten so badly at an Italian restaurant. The "spaghetti aglio olio" has neither salt nor bone blue, no chili and sunflowers instead of olive oil. The Ajoli was a completely tasteless sauce with herbs. And, surprise, the pizza tasted really bad. My call was responded to sloppily and unresponsively.

We were there spontaneously with a larger group. Food was great, service too, everyone was very friendly and gave us a great evening!

The noodles were inedible. Pizza ok. We reserved a table on the side but got another one where it was very cold and warm in the middle... the service was ok with grappa at the end but that didn't make the bad food any better. Never again… a shame for good Italians. The only positive thing is the delicious house wine…

1. Service was good for the most part. The man was attentive, nice and friendly, but it was only at the end when paying that he was told that you can only pay in cash. But we also got a drink in return. 2. The atmosphere was pleasant but also very cramped. To me it looked like they wanted to squeeze as many tables in there as possible. 3. The food: My mother and my little brother both had a pizza that was solid, nothing special, but I had ravioli with truffles and a mushroom cream and I have to say that as a cook it hurt me to see how it was prepared. The ravioli were simply “slapped” carelessly onto a plate. But the tiramisu, on the other hand, was just okay 4. Overall it was okay but underwhelming. It felt like I was eating tk goods. 5. Price performance: If I could give stars for it, I would give it 2 stars.

Sitting here right now, are in transit and, as always, are just on the chance to find something good to eat and apparently a little Christmas moment today on Boxing Day: this is the unbelievably favorite shop with the best pizza ever!! ! Our little one (3 years old) was treated so sweetly and so were we - the greatest people here! And then the food too - we'll come back here. And how cute are the red and white tablecloths. Best music. Aaaww man - we're in love!

Price/performance fits. We thought pizza was very good, cocktails weren't that great. We spontaneously found a place with 5 people at the weekend and the service was great.

Located in an alternative part of the city, but at a price level like that of a noble Italian restaurant! The taste of the food is okay, which is not enough given prices of up to €20 for a pizza. Pasta also very expensive for small quantities. The antipasti plate contained two slices of zucchini, two eggplants, a slice of salami and a slice of ham, two olives and not much else for two people. Approx. 80g for €17.50. Quite a rip off. Bill for four people: Antipasti plate for 2 and everyone a pizza 140 €!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It was then clear to me why the store was so empty. Sanitary and hygiene rather underground.

Top!!! As someone who eats (too) much pizza, I highly recommend it. The pizza is one of the best you can get in Hamburg... and for a ridiculous 12 euros. Since the first visit, pizza on the Schanze has only been available here.

Extremely mediocre pizza and bruschetta was underwhelming. Some of the ingredients weren't particularly tasty. Service was quite OK. OK in an emergency, if you'd rather go out for pizza, then there are much better alternatives.

We and other customers were sent away because we only ordered drinks and no food. Our drinks were brought to the table with the words “did you forget to order food?” to which I replied, puzzled, that we just wanted a quick drink. Our drinks were then taken back and we were asked to leave. This was also done with a couple next door. The waiter said he asked me when I came in if we wanted to eat too, but he DID NOT. With us you would have made almost €20 + tip in half an hour. impudence.

As a guest, you shouldn't come too thirsty - there is a lot of concentration on feeding the newly arrived guests, then it seems as if the other tables (outside) are forgotten and your own break is more important. With the brilliant location, a summery piazza in the north, much more sales could be achieved. Fortunately, I didn't need the train-like toilet described in many reviews. I liked the lasagna.

Very good pizza with good price-performance ratio. The toppings on the salami pizza were outstanding! The staff with the four young men were very friendly, but the toilets are an imposition.

Very cozy place and delicious food

Once and never again. We were there as a group and after our visit we didn't feel valued as customers at all. One dish was very oversalted (and I say that as someone who tried the dish as an outsider). We were also charged for two bottles of wine at the end, which we hadn't ordered. Only after we loudly insisted that we only pay for the wine we had ordered did we get the difference back without a word. Not recommended, which is also reflected in other reviews here.

Dirt.. We were here to watch football and strangers were simply sat at the table without asking first. The service (especially one particular guy) was terrible. You had to ask a second time for every order until it finally came and our dip was completely forgotten after the second time. When we paid, all the money was simply taken without giving any change back. A pity. Not again.

First of all, I would like to say that this review reflects my own taste. I just found the pizza bland and tasteless. Even the pepper or salt that was at the table couldn't give the pizza any flavor. I was full but wouldn't visit this place again. Service was quick. The toilet resembles a train station toilet. Really disgusting

A really cool Italian host for the European Championships! Great pizza, fresh salad, liqueur on the house. That's how hospitality works! Experienced a great Germany game here, with a lot of humor from the host (confetti cannons when the goal was shot) and surprisingly fast service. Remarkable! Mille Gracie!

We only had a drink here - luckily - at the end we saw the toilet - old (!) dirt, cobwebs, ... almost without words for a restaurant, except that you can't trust hygiene in other areas can't and for us never go here again!

Food very good, staff friendly, toilets AWESOME. Unbelievable, the layer of dust on the women's toilets shows that they haven't been cleaned for months. No toilet paper. Flush cover missing. Outrageous. So I wouldn't come back.

Unfortunately they only accept cash payments there. We were there for dinner with 2 couples. And to pay individually you have to come to the counter. Only full payment would have been possible at the table. I can print out the receipt and then on it Check off the table who pays what.
