Excellent food, we will definitely come back!

Ikigai offers excellent Asian cuisine. We've been there several times and have never been disappointed. The sushi is fresh and flavorful, on another level. Highly recommended.

It was great, I highly recommend it.

We usually enjoy eating here, but unfortunately, we had a major problem today: A still-valid voucher (within the legally mandated 3-year period) was refused without any understandable reason. Even speaking with management didn't resolve the issue. This is highly questionable from a legal standpoint, and as a customer, we unfortunately don't feel valued.

The place has ambient atmosphere, friendly and pretty fast service, and good quality food. Menu has a good variety of dishes to choose from, though we usually come for sushi because the fish is really fresh there. Also a good choice of non-alcoholic drinks and mocktails, which is rare in Germany. For weekends I recommend making a reservation, because the place can get busy

Once you find the entrance at the back, you'll be pleasantly surprised by the lovely atmosphere and excellent service. The dishes are not only beautifully presented, but they also taste delicious. The fish fingers for the children are homemade and made with real salmon. I thoroughly enjoyed them.

It doesn't look like it from the outside, but the food is really very good. One star off for the ambiance: it's actually really nice, but it's artificially "enhanced" to appeal to Germans. They should have stuck with the Asian look. And it's a bit pricey, but justified.

One of my favorite places in Leipzig. The food is exceptionally good. The staff is very attentive and polite. Just like in Japan. I'd happily come back here, even if it's a bit more expensive. The quality justifies the price.

My daughter turned 13 and loves Asian food. We booked a table in Schönefeld and it was a perfect evening from start to finish. This new Asian restaurant in the Schönefeld district is definitely a culinary delight. It offers high-quality Asian specialties from several regions, from Vietnam to Japan. The prices are reasonable, considering the quality and the sophisticated ambiance. Highly recommended!

Hello! I came across this restaurant in honor of my birthday. We booked a table and arrived at 5:30 PM. It turns out we sat there for 2 hours. I will deny the previous reviews that were written before this. 1. No one was going to kick us out after 2 hours of stay, and no one looked at us strangely as they wrote in the reviews. 2. The order was ready in 15-20 minutes (we ordered 3 rolls). 3. The service is perfect, and there were no problems with the table and the reservation. There was only one minus, which is that the prices are not signed in the menu (it is in the book that is given to the table). In general, you can see the prices in this program. If you are somewhere in Leipzig, you can safely go here. The sushi was delicious, but unfortunately they don't give ice until when 🥲. That's all, but still the main problem is the menu.

2022: Really delicious. The prices have gone up considerably (sushi platter for two from €38 to €52). The quality is good, though, which isn't what you'd think from the outside. We'll definitely be back! Great evening and really delicious! Update 2025: Prices are now very difficult in some places. The sushi platter for two is no longer advertised as such (possibly €60), but there's a platter (meal) for €55 per person. The rest is fine, but the price is really over the top. A shame.
