A fantastic late-night find! I stopped for a dürüm Döner and was not disappointed. It was a well-packed and delicious Döner, absolutely stuffed with meat and a mix of fresh salads. The sauce was tasty and had just the right amount of spice to give it a nice kick. The place was bustling with customers, which tells you everything you need to know—this spot is a winner.

I've been to many kebab shops in Leipzig, and this one is by far the best. Flavorful sauce, good bread – as if freshly baked, comfortable to hold and bite into, and the perfect ratio of sauce, meat, and salad. I highly recommend it!

There are places we enter and immediately know: This is where it's going to be cozy, where you can linger, where you can stay longer than originally planned. And then there are other places that serve only one function – to fill you up, to serve you quickly, to deliver the essentials without leaving a feeling. This kebab restaurant I visited falls somewhere in between. A place that strives to be more than just a fast food joint, but at the same time doesn't achieve the grandeur of a high-class restaurant. And yet: it's precisely this tension between a rustic snack bar and a surprisingly tasteful ambiance that makes it so appealing. As soon as you enter, it's obvious that someone has thought about this. The walls aren't simply painted white, but rather have a warm, sandy color scheme that immediately evokes associations – a little reminiscent of the heat of Anatolia, a little of Mediterranean coziness, but also not so over-the-top that it seems like a touristy folklore spot. No plastic palm trees, no brightly flashing billboards, but rather subtle lighting that almost creates a lounge feel. The tables are made of wood, not the typical aluminum frames you find in many fast-food restaurants. They're heavier, more solid, almost a statement: "Here you don't just sit down to quickly devour something; here you're allowed to sit down." And indeed, that does something to the food. Sitting at a sturdy wooden table experiences the meal differently than someone standing at a wobbly metal frame that, in the worst case, sticks to the floor. There's soft music playing in the background – and this really surprised me: no dull chart blare, no radio blaring with commercials every twenty minutes, but a gentle blend of Turkish instrumental music and modern beats, almost imperceptibly mingled with the conversations. You could say: It carries the space without dominating it. And then the lighting: warm, not garish, no neon light that steals your appetite, but small spotlights and lamps strategically placed so that you can both see the plate clearly and maintain a sense of intimacy. I thought it was particularly clever how the lamps above the tables acted like small islands of light – as if each group had its own little stage. Of course, it's still a kebab shop. The obligatory drinks cooler hangs on the wall, lined with Coke, Ayran, and water. The menu is also displayed large above the counter, illuminated by LED spotlights. But even here, you can see that an effort has been made to combine the essentials into a coherent format. No wildly flashing price promotions, just clear, clean lettering, almost minimalistic. The guests seem to feel at home. While I was sitting there, a diverse mix of people came in: students, workers in construction overalls, an older couple, even a small family with children. And everyone found their place without it becoming hectic or uncomfortably loud. The ambience not only contributes decoratively but also functionally to allowing different people to coexist simultaneously without disturbing one another. There are restaurants where you immediately sense that the decor is merely a facade, a mask that deceives. Here, however, it seemed genuine. No exaggerated attempt at being "hip," no fake brick walls like something from a discount furniture catalog, but a coherent, understated concept. A place where you could actually sit for a while—perhaps even with a cup of tea after your meal while chatting. In short: The ambiance is unusually good for a kebab restaurant, almost ambitious. And it's this slight edge of atmosphere that makes the whole thing memorable.

The store was full of flies and very unhygienic. The shift manager/boss was unfriendly. The employee noticed and apologized.

Very disappointing! Unfortunately, my order wasn't delivered correctly. I asked for no sauce... It had three sauces on it. I ordered feta cheese as an extra... it didn't have any on it either. No onions... it had onions on it. For that price, that's just unacceptable!

After a strenuous journey, our hungry mouths should lead us to Idris Döner. Right on the street, yet beautiful and authentic. There's no question of kebab price controls here; for €6-€8, even the most well-endowed athlete will be satisfied. A recommendation for every lunch break crook, work-wearer, and trainee/student who needs more than mate and a cigarette to start the day.

It's actually my favorite kebab, but sometimes the quality isn't great. That was the case last night.

Nice selection of dishes. Dürüm or doner kebab plates with generous toppings. Sauces: garlic, spicy, herb, sesame, curry, hummus. Comfortable indoor seating. The taste is good, but nothing exceptional for me personally. Solid and good.

Went to a concert in the “Felsenkeller” and wanted to eat something quickly beforehand. Very poor service, 25 minutes for a kebab, 4 people behind the counter, absolute chaos and then cheated out of 2 euros. No recommendation!

I'm always torn about Idris. It used to be great in terms of price-performance ratio. But today normal kebab costs €7 and I often don't get full. My kebab is smaller than the children's kebab that I ordered. Everything tastes delicious and the sauces are great, no question. I just had to adjust my visit frequency to the price, so I ended up going for the €5 kebab. It's very noticeable with 3 children.

Megalekkerer kebab in a great atmosphere. So the kebab was almost perfect. The meat was cooked to perfection and cut perfectly. It would have a great taste of its own, the veal. The salad was beautifully put together, fresh. There were herbs in there too. The chili sauce was nice and spicy and the curry sauce was awesome - fruity and sweet. The bread was real grain bread, something different. But not bad. Properly roasted with lots of Omami. But with the kebab I was still missing something special, something inimitable. The ambience was great. I felt comfortable from the start. The shop had nice seating. Really nice wooden tables and seating. The service staff was somehow not quite up to speed and that was around 4:00 p.m. in the afternoon. It seemed messed up. The highlight was being refused permission to use the local toilet after eating. Despite all that, it was a nice visit. Grade: 4.5

Yes. Especially because it is one of the few shops in Leipzig that stays open until midnight... what a sleepy town!!! From 10 p.m. the sidewalks are folded up, unbelievable! For that reason alone an extra star! Bravo! And then delicious!

The perfect place to go if you're hungry before and after concerts in the Felsenkeller. In terms of price, it's okay given the large portions. Bread was very tasty and salad was fresh, there were plenty of sauces to choose from and you could choose between chicken or beef

One of the best kebab shops in the city and also close to the Felsenkeller. There is a really wide selection of dishes and the whole bistro becomes a little nicer, more modern and hopefully more successful every year!

We spontaneously bought a kebab/seitan kebab in the evening and were impressed by the quality, quantity (>500 grams) and taste. Tip top!

I was there late in the evening and wanted to take a kebab with me. This had now taken me out of my life for 2 days and turned my digestion on the left. I couldn't stop breaking all day... I'll spare the readers the rest here. I can't say whether it was the sauces or whatever, but I will definitely refrain from eating there again! I'm not usually someone who writes reviews and certainly not to bash someone... but in this case, when it comes to health, I thought it was justified.

Very tasty pizza and the tastiest kebab on the street. Had something to eat late at night after a concert. Very fast, super nice service and the food, as mentioned above, was top! We would love to come back!

No.1 for decades and well known

I was super hungry after training and was looking forward to a delicious kebab. Unfortunately, complete disappointment, thrown away after the 2nd bite and went home hungry. Cheap sauces out of the bucket, whatever you can taste and no new sauce is used, just poured on top of the old one. This would be done right in front of me, so no hearsay. The meat was already cut off on the shelf under the spit, so it was cold, not well cooked and unfortunately didn't taste good either. The salad had probably been on display for a while and was already slightly brown. Even after my 2 bites I already had an extremely strange aftertaste in my mouth. Accordingly, it was a total disappointment and it doesn't deserve more than 1 star for me.

In terms of taste, everything is fine - kebab. You can eat in a snack bar, but then you are exposed to noise, a babble of voices and walk-in customers.

Seitan Dürüm kann ich leider nicht empfehlen. Mehr als Salat hat man eigentlich nicht geschmeckt. Schade.

Maybe the worst vegan Döner I’ve eaten so far. It was cold and the saitan is disgusting. The only reason for the two stars is the vegan sauce.

Leckerster veganer Saitan-Döner, den ich bislang in Leipzig finden konnte. Die Bedienung ist nett und zuvorkommend. Die Einrichtung ist sauber und stilvoll. Auf dem Gehweg vor dem Geschäft gibt es ein paar Bänke zum Sitzen. Großer Pluspunkt: Man kann hier auch (ohne Mindestbetrag) bargeldlos mit EC-Karte bezahlen.

Можна при замовленні внести зміни в інгредієнти, що дозволить вам отримати ще більше задоволення від улюблених складників. Зо шість піц замовляли і кожна з них не розчарувала, а смакувала. Будемо проїздом обов'язково ще замовлятимемо.

Geschmacklich Top und große Portionen, bei denen man auch beim großen Hunger satt wird. Ist zu meinem Stamm-Döner geworden. Manche Mitarbeiter könnten etwas freundlicher sein.

Geschmacklich ein Traum, dazu große Portionen für einen angemessenen Preis. Den Döner aber auch das Pide sollte jeder mal probieren. In diesem Dönerladen wird sich halt auch mal Zeit gelassen, weil es dann einfach besser schmeckt.

Guter Eckendöner, macht man nichts verkehrt aber auch keine absolute Geschmacksgranate. Knuspriges Fleisch, frisches Gemüse und stanni Fladenbrot ohne Loch. Passt.

Ich rate den Döner 8,5+/10. Definitiv besser als Olive Tree Gute Soße und viel davon. Fleisch war ausreichend vorhanden. Salat war frisch, Tomate auch. KRÄUTERSOßE NICHT bestellen, schmeckt zu sehr nach Joghurt.

Ein solider Döner. Das Fleisch landet immer gut gebräunt im Fladenbrot. Das Gemüse und die Soßen sind auch gut.

nach einer langen Autofahrt haben wir hier noch gegessen. es hat gut geschmeckt und die Mitarbeiter waren nett. es war für meinen Geschmack ein besser Imbiss wobei das nicht negativ gemeint ist. ich bin aber auch ehrlich wenn ich nicht schon hungrig gewesen wäre und einfach nur was zu essen gesucht hätte wäre ich nicht reingegangen.
