We reserved a table and were late. The table was kept free after telephone consultation. The all you can eat concept works well, ordering via tablet is quick and the ingredients are fresh and very well prepared. The service has it well under control. Parking is difficult. We had to rely on the car. Otherwise public transport is the better alternative. I didn't visit any sanitary facilities. Price performance is high but the ingredients are fresh and the selection is good. Yes, it's expensive but I think it's adequate.

Were there yesterday at 6 p.m. Ambiance is fine. But telling guests right at the beginning that you should be gone by 8 p.m. really doesn't work at all. Orders either didn't arrive at all or arrived twice. Shortly before half-past someone came and said that it would be the last order for us and at 8 p.m. it was the end of the day and you had to leave. I have to say I really expected more, for the money I'll eat somewhere else.

Online booking was confusing. Since we are Osnabrück residents, we know that this location offers 2-hour slots. From 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. and from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Nevertheless, their online booking system allows you to choose times every 30 minutes. It was precisely these options that led us to reserve a table online for 6:30 p.m. a few weekends earlier. However, when we wanted to make the reservation at 6:30 p.m., the table had already been given to someone else. Uncomfortable for someone who doesn't know the location. This time we booked for 6 p.m. Apparently our last name was too complicated and we were asked for a reservation number. Since the email didn't mention keeping this number, we had to search through our emails, which took a few moments. After a short unraveling, we were kindly brought to the table. With a finger pointing at the table and an unfriendly “8 p.m.”, without eye contact, without a smile, without friendliness, he was dismissed. Somehow amusing and cheeky. We already know the all-you-can-eat process there. So we were able to forego the very friendly introduction. The drinks came quickly. Great! In the first round of orders we ordered mostly warm food. Unfortunately, these arrived lukewarm. And if you order more than just one option, lukewarm food quickly turns into cold food. And cold food that should actually be hot/warm quickly becomes inedible. This continued through all ordering rounds. And the more rounds progressed, the colder the food was served. During dessert, one of us was given a spoon for the ice cream, which still had dried food residue stuck to it. We had a place from which you had a good view of the kitchen area. Orders often pile up here. In such hectic times, we understand that the service has to stay cool. But not the food please! All in all the experience was not pleasant. It felt like the “machine” wasn’t quite aligned there yet. If you then look at the price under the circumstances, the price/performance ratio doesn't feel balanced. We always preferred Ichiban to other sushi alternatives in Osnabrück. But that was once.

Hello, The concept is good. 1. You will be escorted to your table. 2. The order will be explained to you via the app. 3. You order drinks and food via the app 4. A waiter places (almost throwing) a plate with a dish on the table and moves on. 5. The cellars now come by at different speeds and put down a plate. Some things are delivered quickly, others very late. The price of the meal costs around €36 per person. Unfortunately the food was cold! This is of course intentional with sushi. Not with fried salmon, tuna fillets, beef or pork. Our table didn't have its own ceiling light and the other tables were a little further away. So it was a bit dark while eating. The room is very noisy, from the waiters bringing food and clearing plates and from the other guests. 10 dishes can be ordered every 8 minutes. All uneaten dishes cost €5. A dish is, for example, 4 small spring rolls or 3 suchis. If you like my review, I would be happy about a like.

When we got there we were given an iPad (just the case) that smelled like vomit. I don't think that's possible at all. When you asked the waitress about it, not a word was said, they just took the iPad case away without an apology. That ruined all my appetite. We've been to Ichiban several times and the food has always been good, but an experience like this doesn't even save a 5 star menu. I think if you expect something like that from your customer you should at least apologize, but rather you should spend something or get creative about how you can make up for such a mistake.

The restaurant is basically on a main street. There are not enough parking spaces directly around it. There is a parking garage 5 minutes walk away. The quality of the food is mixed. My partner liked the fish and meat from good to very good. Pak choi was also great in combination with sauce, but not on its own. Edamame is also good (but you can't go wrong) The sushi was ok. Unfortunately, the fried sushi came cold and soggy and was therefore less edible. The selection is good, there is something for everyone, including vegetarians. It's more about getting full than enjoying good food. The Hugo was terrible. When asked, more syrup was added, but it still tasted like toilet flushing. Was it also served with lemon instead of mint?! The neighbor's table wasn't impressed with the Lillet either. I didn't like the miso soup. The vanilla ice cream was of very good quality, but the coconut ice cream was not. The other desserts weren't very appetizing either. The service was nice, but the plates kept getting swapped with the neighboring table. The restaurant is very large and basically divided into 3 areas. However, it's getting loud in the rooms so you can't understand what you're saying. You also sit very close to the other tables. It would be more pleasant if there were fewer tables. We paid a total of around €60 for two buffets. The drink prices are within normal limits. We won't come again.

One way to recognize freshly made maki is that they are still crunchy on the outside before they have absorbed any moisture. If they are being prepared to meet a large rush of orders, I can understand it, but I think it's a shame because I would have to accept longer waiting times for that. But if, like when I visited, the rice from the sushi is already dry/crispy from storage, then I can go straight to Rewe and eat EatHappySushi. The service was very attentive, but it was cold.

Never never never go to Ichiban again. This is a disgraceful shop. As we walked past we saw the shop and thought it was really nice. So we went in and asked if there was still a table available for two and we got one straight away without waiting. The waiter briefly explained to us how everything works. So all the numbers were written on the piece of paper and handed in. The order was two vegan plates, one miso soup, two Edamme, one Spezi and one mineral water. I happened to be looking at the clock. When we handed in the note with the order it was 7:28 p.m. Then it started. Wait wait wait. The drinks finally arrive at 8:12 p.m. No less than 40 minutes for friends and water. I told the waiter my displeasure and said that if the food wasn't there in 5 minutes we would cancel the order. And now the kicker. Suddenly a young lady appeared and wanted to explain to me that she didn't enter the order into the system until 8 p.m. According to the motto... You're only waiting 12 minutes. Luckily there was another couple there who were also annoyed because they had already been waiting an hour for their food. When the food came after 10 minutes, I asked the lady in question (felt like a superior to us) how it could be that it took them 30 minutes to put in the order because she actually lies to her face that she said 7:30 p.m. Also thanks to the neighbors who supported us with the truth. By then we had received the two plates and the drinks. THAT'S IT. How could it be otherwise, the Edamme and the miso soup were of course included on the bill, even though we didn't get them. Sorry, but the whole thing is unforgivable for a restaurant. Even if you were understaffed, supposedly. GUYS DON’T GO THERE!!!

When serving, one nigiri sushi fell off the plate onto the tray, of course they replaced it for me, but they came back literally 20 seconds later, it was as if the sushi was just transferred from the tray to a new plate. There are better sushi bars in Osnabrück. Not the best sushi for a pretty high price. The rice in the sushi wasn't exactly fresh, and the amount of rice in the sushi and rolls was much larger than the fish and other toppings. Tourist trap!!! Nice atmosphere but that was it. Overpriced and not Japanese at all. The menu is very poor and can be found in every nett refrigerated shelf. Japanese beer is brewed in Germany .!!?? The portions are for children. When we complained, the boss came with another card. On this one, my dish (23 euros for 7 sushi) was shown as 14 euros. It would have been an oversight.... My colleague had the same thing. We were told that guests usually leave something behind. Since there is so much. (see picture) That was the crowning achievement! Never again.

Very tasty and varied “all you can eat” offer. The sushi and everything else is very tasty. You pay the amount for the AYCE offer once, then get a tablet and sit down. Orders are placed via the tablet and how exactly this works are explained. Drinks cost extra and some special things too, but they are very little, most of it is included. Depending on whether you come at lunchtime or in the evening, you decide what kind of offer there is. In the evening you have a complete selection, at lunchtime the offer is a little smaller, but you only pay half the price (drinks and extras not included). Can definitely be recommended to everyone.

You should have the opportunity to eat as much as you want within a two-hour window. However, having to wait 30 minutes for the first round only to receive something you didn't order is extremely disappointing. The highlight of the unpleasant experience was that towards the end of the two hours you were literally pressured to leave the restaurant. Relaxed eating was not possible under these circumstances. The next reserved guests were already waiting outside, while the boss was constantly watching you eat the dessert. The waitress's request to pay immediately rounded off the negative impression.

We were there in a group, during the week with all-you-can-eat, cost: €33. Drinks cost around four euros for 0.4l. The food was on the table extremely quickly; we had practically just put the tablet aside. The cleaning was done diligently and in a friendly manner, and those were the positive aspects. The sushi was bland, boring and not even tightly rolled. The selection is generally very small and not comparable to other restaurants with similar offerings, neither in quality nor quantity. The mango and pistachio ice cream were praised at the table, otherwise we would be very disappointed with the food. The ambience as a concept is not consistent, the seat height of the chairs does not match the round tables and unfortunately it is also very uncomfortable. The little robot that partially supports the service staff is actually pretty cool, but it has a dirty paper sign stuck on it. Please print it and laminate the sign so it is wipeable and much more professional.

It was my first time there and I was very disappointed. I expected more from the Ischiban house. Had the all u can eat, menu, ... Very little choice, I would also have liked to have had more choice for dessert and unfortunately nothing special in terms of taste. But you can argue about taste ;) I've eaten far better Asian food. There is only one iPad per table, so if you are sitting there with several people, it will be a long story. Super annoying!! Unfortunately the service was also bad. Some very inexperienced employees. The atmosphere was much too open for me personally, and was more like a canteen than a restaurant. Very uncomfortable. Conclusion: Price-performance ratio is unfortunately very low (for my needs). Won't go there again.

Once upon a time! The quality has decreased a lot and after an hour you have to realize: the passion fruit spritzer was the best. There was no eating at all. The quality of the products is poor. Incredibly beautiful restaurant! You order via tablet and the food is then brought to the table very quickly. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. There is a large selection of food and drinks and it is simply incredibly tasty! The prices are also okay. Addendum August 2024: Unfortunately, the last visit wasn't as good as the previous ones. I found a long piece of plastic in a sushi roll, I almost ate it (there is no compensation) and the female waiter was extremely unfriendly and harsh. The rating has been adjusted.

The sushi feels like it has been “prepared” and the fried prawns are dripping with fat. For 33€ all you can eat you'll be full, but it's not a great taste. Great for the children: the order is brought by a robot operator. The children are happy! Oh yes, be sure to buy a parking coin to leave the rear parking lot (even if you pay a regular bill, you don't get it for free if there are more than one person)

The food is fresh and if you really have an appetite, it's good value for money. There is something for everyone... including vegetarians and vegans. Unfortunately, I have the feeling that glutamates (I suspect in the sauces) are used - because my body reacts to it. Still, it doesn't stop me from eating there with the extended family every now and then, as our children are always thrilled. Ordering with the iPad and the all you can eat concept is also great.

Price-performance ratio doesn't fit at all. The price is far too high for what is offered in “All you can eat”. Furthermore, the sushi tastes not as good and fresh as you would actually expect given the prices. I don't even want to talk about the staff, even the robot that brings the sushi is friendlier.

I would prefer not to even give one star, the restaurant absolutely doesn't deserve it. We had on May 25th. a table reserved for 8 people. We arrived on time and were taken to our reserved table. The restaurant was well attended. So we waited for the order to be taken. Nothing happened after 5 minutes, not even after 10 minutes. Some tables that came after us already had their iPads. When asked, we were told that someone would come to us soon. Another good 5 minutes later someone finally came to take the order. 7 people wanted to eat all you can eat, except for my daughter who is in a wheelchair and cannot eat sushi due to intolerances. She wanted a portion of fried noodles. We were told that it wouldn't work either everyone eats all you can eat or everyone orders something from the menu. When we were told that 7 people wanted to eat all you can eat, except for the child who was sitting in a wheelchair, because of intolerances we were told that we could order all you can eat, only the child didn't need to eat anything, she could watch. Despite explanations from us and the fact that the child has special needs, there was absolutely no relent and we were asked to leave. I have never experienced such behavior before, discrimination and exclusion at its best. How can you encourage a child with special needs to watch others eat? How can you ask a child like that? When asked if the boss could be spoken to, it was said that the boss did not want to speak to his guests. When we went out the boss was standing behind the counter and when we asked for clarification the boss said he couldn't help us. Absolute misconduct that has nothing to do with inclusion or anything else. So inhumane.

On May 25th, 2024 we visited the Ichiban restaurant in Osnabrück and experienced very unpleasant and discriminatory treatment. We were in the restaurant with our child, who is in a wheelchair, and wanted to order from the menu for her (for health reasons), while the rest (7 people) of our group wanted to eat from the buffet. To our amazement and horror, we were told that either everyone had to eat at the buffet or everyone had to order from the menu or that the group (7 people) could eat from the buffet but my child shouldn't get anything and she would watch us while we ate. Despite our explanations and requests that our child has special needs, we were asked to leave the restaurant. We find this behavior extremely discriminatory and unfair. Forcing a child in a wheelchair to either eat at the buffet or refuse to eat as a group is not only incomprehensible, but also violates the principles of equality and inclusion. It is disappointing to see a restaurant unable or unwilling to offer appropriate flexibility for people with special needs. We expect an official apology for the discriminatory treatment and an explanation of how we will ensure that such situations do not happen again in the future. A copy of this review will be sent to the Equal Rights Officer sent.

Discriminatory. We had reserved a table for eight people (including a child in a wheelchair) and wanted to order, but we were skipped over and forgotten several times. When we finally got the iPads, we were told that EVERYONE had all-you-can-eat food. The statement that a severely disabled child is not allowed to eat sushi due to health restrictions was completely ignored. We were then asked to leave the restaurant several times, which was repeated several times despite comments about being rude. When we asked about the boss, we were told that he didn't want to talk to his customers. We then decided to leave the restaurant. Coincidentally, the boss was standing at the bar and we spoke to him about discrimination against people with health problems. But he didn't even look us in the eye and said he couldn't help us there help. Simply disrespectful. Not recommendable.

The service issues a chip so that you can drive out. + Temporary operation by robot. A special highlight. = Price-performance ratio at the lunch buffet €19.90 per person (no extra prices for children) = Description of where which toilet is would be good in the basement - A functioning door in the men's toilet so that men can urinate in the urinal without spectators would be good.

Unfriendly service. I've never experienced anything like that. First we are made to wait 10 minutes at 1:15 p.m. and then we are told exactly at 2:05 p.m. the kitchen will be closed, even though the internet says opening times until 3 p.m. Sushi selection mediocre. Kitchen help keeps coughing. The window panes of the store are extremely dirty - (that's what you call a store's business card!) We are passing through here from Wuppertal but will definitely never come back. In Münster, however, it was great

The sushis went like this, the selection in the range still has room for improvement, I don't want to badmouth the store, but I've definitely eaten better sushi. The rest was also satisfactory, they definitely made an effort, service was okay, although I don't think anything of these service robots that bring the food to the table, the price-performance ratio didn't really fit!

I've been there several times over the last few years and unfortunately found that the shop has gone down significantly. The last time I was there was on May 2nd, 2024 and will now avoid the store. Typically all you can eat is ordered and then a bowl of edamame is ordered in one round. These tasted somehow “tilted” from the start. When I picked up the next edamame, I knew why. There was a cooked maggot on it. Pretty disgusting and shouldn't happen. I then called service, whereupon the boss came to the table and I described the incident accordingly. The only answer I heard was “it’s an onion”. No, it's definitely not that. The dish never has onions in it. He then took off into the kitchen with the bowl. No apology, no compensation, just nothing. It's the last time I entered this store. Not like that!

Reservations recommended. "All u can eat" menu. Order via tablet from the table. 5 order points per person per round. Points are reset every 8 minutes. The orders were delivered quite quickly. The service was a bit impersonal, which could also be due to the unusual nature of the order. All in all, the restaurant is definitely recommended. The food was very good with a large selection of hot and cold dishes.

Very tasty, but if you come with 6 people and order something, you get the order one by one. This means that someone is always unlucky and has to wait for their order while the others in your group have already received their food and are eating while it is warm. From order to order there is a time interval of 7 minutes. Your delayed order will arrive after 2 to 3 time intervals later, which means your friends have already eaten 2 to 3 orders and only then will you receive your order. You just watch how everyone else eats the whole time. Something still needs to be done. If she wants to order the same dish 5 times for the group, bad luck, that's not possible. Everyone MUST order different menu items. Best sushi bar is Sumo Sushi in Bielefeld!!!!

Google shows the restaurant is open on Sundays from 11:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. We arrived at 11:30am but the restaurant was closed. On the glass door it says that the restaurant is open every day from 12:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m. So we waited for a while. But the restaurant was still closed and the lights were turned off at 12:30 and there was no staff inside. We were very disappointed. An hour's wait was free. If you can't open at 12pm every day, change it accordingly! Specifying incorrect opening times makes no sense and is very annoying. Regardless of the quality of the food, we became skeptical of the service.

The food is really good. When you arrive and want the buffet, you are given a tablet to order straight away. In total, each customer gets 5 points per round, each selected dish costs one point, which means you can choose up to 5 dishes per round. A new round can be ordered every 8 minutes and the whole thing lasts up to 2 hours. I think the concept is great because it avoids wasting food, but I would have liked to have iced it at the beginning. The empty plates are regularly removed from the tables and the food is always brought quickly by service or robot. I couldn't find the prices for the buffet anywhere.

We ordered 2 different sushi plates. As soon as I put it on the table it smelled strongly fishy. The reason was a nigiri sushi with squid on it. The maki rolls with salmon were ok on one plate, but clearly old on the other. The sashimi tuna was still ok, but not appetizingly fresh (sticky consistency) We told the waiter that the leftover portions were of poor quality. He just said he would pass it on... Conclusion: never again

The food is really tasty and the whole setup with the tray ordering and the robot waiter is pretty cool. We got there with the all you can eat. After 5 out of 10 laps we couldn't do it anymore. I also think the price for sushi is very good. The atmosphere is okay, it's just a bit loud at times. But I will definitely come back!
