I can't understand all the positive feedback. We chose a table that was still dirty from the previous guests. No one cleaned it. No one greeted us warmly. After about 20 minutes, we asked the "server" ourselves how to order. Only then did we learn that we had to order inside or via QR code. No sign, no indication of this anywhere. Our food arrived quite quickly. The drink, however, didn't. When we asked, it was brought. My burger was okay, the fries were delicious. The price was okay, except for the ketchup. €1.70 for a little bit of ketchup is outrageous.

Very warm restaurant, the staff is welcoming and friendly. The dishes are very good, rich and the menu, although small, is varied and the dish of the day is always a treat!

Friends recently treated themselves to a delicious meal by the team at "Ich bin so frey" and were very pleased, so they brought it to my attention. I can only say: That was a very good recommendation. Since I asked about catering by phone, I was put in touch with the team members directly. Everyone was open, helpful, and uncomplicated – simply pleasant. Today, our menu was delivered super-punctually. From the appetizers to dessert: delicious all around and prepared with high-quality ingredients. Many thanks to the entire team for the great food, for your ideas, and the loving way in which they were implemented.

We treated ourselves to catering for a family celebration. The food was delivered warm, well packaged, attractively presented, and tasted truly outstanding. I particularly recommend the chili. I look forward to dining there again sometime in the near future. Thank you so much, and hopefully see you soon!

We eat here for every special occasion and anytime. We've even brought our non-vegan parents along, and so far everyone (including the parents) has been very happy with the quality of the food, the ambiance, and the friendly staff! It's definitely a highlight in Landau for us.

I've been going to this restaurant at least once a month for over three years – and it's a delight every time! Whether savory or sweet, I've never been disappointed. The food is always fresh, lovingly prepared, and truly delicious. The drink selection is also top-notch.✨ I'm particularly excited about the weekly specials – a new surprise every time and a simply fantastic concept. You can see how much passion goes into the place: The owner is super personable, and the entire team is always friendly and attentive.🧡 The ordering system is modern and customer-friendly – you can easily order with your phone using a QR code at your table and even pay directly via PayPal. If you prefer a more traditional approach, you can of course also order at the counter. Even though I'm not a completely vegan diet, I love the creative dishes and always enjoy trying something new. For me, this restaurant is a truly feel-good place – and an absolute recommendation for anyone who appreciates good food, friendly service, and a well-thought-out concept!🌿

One of the best restaurants in Landau!

Whenever we're in Landau, a visit to Ich bin so Frey is a must for us. The atmosphere is super cozy, the staff warm and attentive—you immediately feel welcome. We're especially enthusiastic about the delicious burgers and fresh salads—always top quality and prepared with lots of love. The selection of cakes at coffee time is also fantastic and simply divine. A real recommendation ❤️

We ordered the Mexicana once. It was the worst thing I've ever eaten. It was way too runny and way too spicy. Better go to Burger King and order a nice Double Whopper. It tastes better, is cheaper, and isn't as spicy. Best regards, Xuan

We love it! I'm so free! We've eaten here so many times, and everything has always been great. The food is delicious, and the service is always super friendly. It's also super family-friendly. There are toys for children and a changing table where they even have diapers. I can really recommend everyone to eat there once when they're in Landau. Keep up the good work ❤️

The smartphone ordering system is modern and convenient, but you can also order directly at the cash register. The service hasn't suffered at all – quite the opposite: it's always super friendly and attentive. We're already looking forward to our next visit!

First of all: I have been to the café several times and really enjoy eating there. Today I took something with me for the second time and I was disappointed again. The portions are much smaller than on site and, in my opinion, completely unjustified for the price. My large salad, contrary to the description (lettuce, sunflower seeds, spring onions, seasonal fruit and vegetables), only consisted of green lettuce, 4 strips of pepper, a slice of kohlrabi and apple slices. The topping of strawberries and asparagus was expensive and had to be ordered separately. It's a shame that there's so much cheating at the takeaway.

Unfortunately I am disappointed. The taste of the food was okay, but the portion sizes were disproportionate to the price - overall, it was clearly too expensive. The waiting time was particularly annoying: we had to wait around an hour for our food without being informed about it in advance. The coffee and the beer should be highlighted positively - both were very good. Overall, unfortunately not a recommendation, especially because of the price-performance ratio.

We were able to eat some vegan food in the shade, inconspicuously under small trees. The food could be ordered via the app and paid for directly. We had wedges of potatoes, a burger and a bowl and everything was delicious. Also the lemonade. We will definitely come back again.

One of the best restaurants for vegetarians nearby

Ich war schon oft hier essen und bin jedes Mal sehr zufrieden das Essen ist lecker und grade als Verganerin bekommt man hier eine großartige Auswahl geboten. Die durch die wechselnden Wochenessen noch mal erweitert wird. Auch das bestellen über den Qr Code klappt super rund ist unkompliziert. Ich war im Sommer draußen und sogar schon einemal drinnen mit Hund zu Besuch und auch das war entspannt und Problem los möglich!

Tolle Auswahl, leckere Getränke, Ob süß oder herzhaft für jeden was dabei. Schnell und unkompliziert bestellen und bezahlen. Falls man Hilfe braucht oder Tipps sind alle total freundlich und offen. Und es gibt wieder Neues zu entdecken.

We were at your restaurant yesterday at 8 p.m. The online reservation worked wonderfully and the reception when you entered was friendly. We ordered the food and drinks on our cell phone and paid via Paypal. The wine and house lemonade were delicious. My wife ordered a large Buddhabowl. Unfortunately this was not edible. The rice had a strong burnt taste, the veggie patty was fried to death and there was a spicy sauce over the salad. The description for the meal here only said “dressing”. So my wife's nose was constantly running. When a nice young waitress came past the table she asked if everything was OK. My wife then told her everything that wasn't right. And here's the crux of the matter: Since we had already paid for everything in advance, our hands were tied here. We would have expected that we would have been offered a voucher for the Buddhabowl or a refund of the price. Neither was mentioned and we were left sitting at the table "speechless". This was by no means a professional approach and will unfortunately mean that we will no longer be able to enter the restaurant. Too bad!

We booked this restaurant quickly online with no real idea of what to expect. I am delighted to say we were pleasantly surprised. A warm and friendly greeting was upon entry, and we were shown to our seats. The restaurant was pretty busy, which is always a good sign. The surprise element is that it is a vegan restaurant ( I was unaware of it as we booked quickly online), but what an eye-opener. The salads were superb and probably the best we have had in a long time, but the chip and potato wedges are probably the best in Landau, if not the state. These are homemade; I am growing tired of other restaurants serving frozen chips (pommes) from plastic bags at extortionate prices; these were fresh, homemade, and delicious, and you can tell the difference. Now, I am not a vegan, but I thought I would give a veggie burger a go. I have been slowly reducing my meat intake over the last few years (concerns over animal welfare), and this was my first. You can tell there is a slight difference, but there is not as big of a gap as I thought it might be. I would certainly eat one from here again. I spoke with the chef, who assured me this is not the USA, and no nasty food additives are used. So, to sum up, the best chips (pommes) and potato wedges (homemade and delicious), the sales are the best we have had in many months, and the burgers are different and tasty. A message to the other restaurants out there in Landau: if these guys can do great chips (pommes) and wedges, why can't you? Homemade and fresh is an eye-opening and completely changes any meal. Recommended Restaurant.

Completely vegan restaurant that can be reached quickly on foot from the “Festhalle” stop. Rustically furnished and in summer you can also sit outside. The menu is extensive, and the seasonal specials are particularly delicious, such as the gingerbread latte. If you don't want to order at the counter, you can do so digitally and pay directly by cell phone, so it's also suitable for people who are socially insecure (like me). Tea is made from fresh fruits, toilets and children's activities are available. I would definitely make a reservation on the weekend; I barely managed to get a spot just for myself on Saturdays around 1 p.m. The selection of cakes is also varied and delicious. The picture shows the Cheezeburger as well as a large portion of fries and lemon tea.

We ended up in this restaurant by chance when we got hungry while visiting the Christmas market around 3 p.m. Luckily many other restaurants were closed, otherwise we would probably never have discovered this insider tip. Ordering via the QR code took a bit of getting used to, but it worked perfectly (other guests had asked for a physical card, which wasn't a problem). Everything tasted delicious, was made with fresh ingredients and was incredibly well seasoned. We were also completely impressed by the price-performance ratio. The only downside was that the burger was only served lukewarm. Otherwise our expectations were far exceeded. We would be happy to come back on our next visit to Landau.

With slight skepticism, we spontaneously went out for a vegan meal. And I was more than positively surprised - I definitely want to go back here. All very tasty. The fries deserve high praise. I would only charge a little less for the small but sufficient sauces.

We have been guests here for several years. We are happy to take the long journey of 60 km to eat here. However, the last two times we were disappointed. Unfortunately, the burgers were cold on both visits and yesterday the pumpkin spice waffles were very dry and the cream as well as the ice cream and the waffles were extremely sweet. Unfortunately, I couldn't eat them at all and our friends felt the same way... We had also said this when paying, it said: we are sorry. Ok... I hope on the next visit the burgers are "hot" again and the wait staff are trained (on both visits we noticed that the staff didn't really work well here - they seemed overwhelmed). There were different staff on both visits. It's a shame, we hope it goes back to the way we knew it. We'll take a break until next time.

We ate here yesterday and were particularly impressed with the “Western Style” burger! The patty tastes delicious, the cheese is really tasty and melts nicely, and the juicy bacon tops it all off! The burger is a 10/10. Plus, the homemade mayo tastes really great. Please never take this burger off the menu!

Cozy restaurant with vegan cuisine. The small salad with grilled vegetable topping and tahini/soy dressing was super fresh and very tasty. My friends had the Asian Bowl and the Cheezy Burger and loved them too! Cool ordering and payment system via QR code.

A large bowl for just under €19 with rice, salad, 2 slices of tofu, kimchi and edamame. €5.60 for a juice spritzer. Very high prices for such “simple” dishes and not justified. Taste good. Unfortunately the service didn't go well at all. After 30 minutes the food came, unfortunately no drinks. Staff was understaffed even when there wasn't much going on. All in all not worth it for the prices.

The “Ich bin so frey” café is located in the heart of the southern Palatinate town of Landau. Although it may attract many rural residents, we literally had a rather dry encounter with the highly touted selection of cakes. Our decision fell on the carrot cake. Wrong decision. Unfortunately, the large cappuccino wasn't enough to moisten the sand-like feeling in the mouth enough to send the cake pleasantly down the esophagus. No, seriously: the carrot cake was unfortunately really dry and not very tasty. Too bad! We still liked the decor and ambience and the coffee was also delicious.

As a meat eater, I just tried it out because of the good reviews. The burger and fries were gigantic!! I could have fallen for the dips 😄 Full house at the fete de la musique and still quick, and above all very nice and courteous service. The boss also takes time to say a few sentences. Ordering via QR code is of course super easy. We felt very comfortable. I'll be back!! 🥰

This is my favorite vegan restaurant! You have to try it. The owner is a very nice person and has great ideas for food with her staff. Service is great and always fast. For me as a non vegan often times vegan food can be dry and tasteless in restaurants but here they know exactly what they’re doing. Everything tastes amazing and I recommend to always try the dish of the week.

So I didn't think the food was more than average. The ordering and payment system is totally wrong. The service staff bring the food and drinks, but you have to order at the counter or using your cell phone by scanning a QR code. You can also pay via your cell phone or at the front of the counter. Price-performance was completely ok. Conclusion: If you don't expect anything special, want to be full and want something to eat for not too much money without expecting service, this is the right place for you. We probably won't visit the restaurant again.

As a vegan you miss it and unfortunately you will NOT find it here either: a real restaurant without bulky waste furniture, where more is offered than burgers and bowls and served at the table in style. But perhaps this is also a generational question.

Was there last week and was nicely surprised . First time I am eating in a 100% Vegan place. Really enjoyed the Vegan Burger. The potatoes wedges were good, so as the dipping sauces. Also had their Tumeric chai latte. I recommend this place for Vegan or even non vegan.
