We were lucky enough to get a spot despite the renovations, for which we would like to express our sincere gratitude.

We had reserved a table for several people for a small birthday party at lunchtime. Unfortunately, the table was poorly set. Paper napkins, no flowers, and we had to light candles – and, as we later learned, this was for a €3.90 room preparation fee – per person, mind you! And no one knew this beforehand! We were lucky, though, and were allowed to place our orders after just half an hour. Other guests in the room with the excellent live band didn't even have a drink after two hours – the musicians, by the way, didn't get anything to eat. The quality of the food, too salty and cold, is not worth the exorbitant price. The waitress, by the way, doesn't care whether you enjoyed it or whether you were satisfied. Restaurant Hutberggaststätte, no thanks – or under professional management.

Schnitzel Day: We had different schnitzel variations, and they were all delicious! A lovely evening—we'd love to come back.

We were looking forward to a relaxing holiday visit to this traditional restaurant, but were unfortunately disappointed. Upon entering, we noticed an unpleasant odor, presumably from the restroom area near the entrance – which also followed us into the dining room. The atmosphere was uninviting: The tables were oddly arranged, beer crates were stacked in the entrance area, and the lighting was inadequate – our table lamp broke down several times, apparently due to a dead battery. The service staff seemed surprised by the rush of customers in the early afternoon and seemed overwhelmed. One woman had been waiting for her food for 45 minutes and received the brief explanation that only one chef was on duty. After about 15 minutes, we left the restaurant again – without even having the opportunity to place an order. Therefore, we cannot comment on the quality of the food. It's a shame about the potential of this establishment – ​​the service and atmosphere unfortunately didn't live up to the standards of a traditional restaurant.

We ate here during our vacation in the region. A lovely restaurant on the Hutberg with a beer garden. The dishes (schnitzel) were freshly prepared and tasted very good. The prices were reasonable. Friendly, attentive service.

We ordered food for our band, and all five of us were extremely satisfied! The schnitzel wasn't deep-fried, but properly fried! And the gnocchi and salad were also delicious!

We wanted to go to a concert at Hutberg and were looking for a nearby place to grab a bite to eat beforehand. We made a reservation in advance by phone. The gentleman was very nice and offered us the option of parking there after our visit to the restaurant so we could attend the concert. He also noted that we were welcome to arrive a little earlier. Unfortunately, when we arrived, we were treated like air. After waiting for a long time and asking for a table in the beer garden, we were allowed to choose a table. Unfortunately, there wasn't a single clean table. We observed this throughout the rest of the event. Tables were cleared, but not even once wiped down. After waiting over half an hour for a menu and to be allowed to express our drink preferences, we went back to the bar and pointed this out to the staff. A colleague (possibly the boss?) came over and apologized for the customs clearance, which meant things were a bit slow. He took our drink order. And then, he was gone. About ten minutes later, our wine arrived with a note saying we should come inside to pay. I then said that we were there to eat, otherwise we wouldn't have reserved a table, and that we would like to see the menu. Another ten minutes passed. In the meantime, we had taken a menu from the neighboring table, where the guests had left. After we ordered our food, it didn't take long for it to arrive. It was truly delicious. We went to the counter to pay. The bill seemed a bit high for two glasses of wine and two dishes. So, as I left, I took the menu again and compared the prices. The two glasses of wine each cost €7.50 (0.25l). However, the bill was €9.90 each. No one could explain this to me when I asked. Instead of €4.80, I only got €4 back. Arithmetic wasn't their strong suit. However, I really didn't feel like any more advice from us, so I left. The location itself is great and invites you to linger! Unfortunately, the staff does nothing to make you want to come back. When a table is cleared, it isn't wiped down. Not a single employee even signaled to a newly occupied table that they were about to arrive. There was no friendly "hello," "nice to see you," or anything like that! We didn't feel welcome. We won't be going there again. Apart from the 80 cents the lady kept when we paid back, we didn't offer any tips. We like to give tips and often, but then the service should match that—and unfortunately, that wasn't the case here.

Unfortunately, no solyanka on concert days. But it was very tasty! Long wait, but the food arrived at the same time. Parking is great – right in front. Gravel paths aren't ideal for people with wheelchairs or walkers.

The price/performance ratio is a disgrace. Dry, deep-fried food at hotel prices. A disgrace! The staff and atmosphere are good, but the food is really bad. A shame.

Unfortunately, all I can say is that the restaurant was simply closed today, Saturday, August 23rd. There was no notice on the door, nor was there any information online... Very annoying!!!!

A lovely restaurant with a beautiful outdoor area. When the rhododendrons are in bloom, the flowers around the hotel are in full bloom. The food was delicious, plentiful, and beautifully presented.

We went to the restaurant for lunch today and were curious to see how it would taste. Excellent, very, very tasty, and large portions. Unfortunately, the rice was without turmeric. Upon request, they said it was all turmeric, unfortunately, without any information or anything else. The tables were very tastefully set up for parties. For walk-ins, there was a pepper shaker and an ice cream advertisement, in addition to the tablecloth. No decorations, no candles—why bother, it only costs... The homemade dip was replaced with inexpensive ketchup. However, upon request, it did arrive, as did the accompanying beer. So, look closely!! Since I didn't manage to finish the very tasty XXL schnitzel, wrapping it up was no problem and free of charge. We're currently eating the rest. What's missing? The dip. The food, as mentioned, was very, very tasty, but the service was very, very superficial. People, be careful what you order and what you get! I have to add one more thing regretfully: we were eating with my 86-year-old mother and when we asked whether there were ANY senior citizen portions, the boss said no. People, where do we live?

And once again disappointed! We decided to hike up Hutberg on a warm Sunday morning. We had checked beforehand that the restaurant was open. However, when we arrived at the top, somewhat exhausted, with two children and a dog, the snack bar was closed again, as is often the case. A sign told us to report to the restaurant. The waitress simply told us that the snack bar was closed today and that we couldn't get anything outside. Three waitresses were standing at the counter, and two or three tables were occupied. The fact that we couldn't even get a drink is sad, and the fact that this wasn't the first time but just one of many is even worse. We really enjoy walking up Hutberg, but we probably won't visit the restaurant again for a while. It's simply a shame for such a beautiful place.

No, because the service is abysmal and inflexible. Today, for example, there was a concert at the Hutberg stage. They advertised people as coming in for a beer beforehand, but the kiosk was closed and you had to get your own drinks from the restaurant. Food was only available inside. Overall, it was too expensive. It's a shame that it's always the same problem... That's not good advertising for the Hutberg.

Delicious food and friendly service, everything was excellent. We'd be happy to come back.

We celebrated our golden wedding anniversary in the Hutberggaststätte on July 13th, 2025! We received very good advice right from the start about how we wanted to choose our food and how to enjoy our coffee! We decided on a menu with several types of meat and one type of fish! The table was greeted with beautiful rose decorations that immediately caught our eye!! Lunch was delicious and left nothing to be desired! The two friendly waitresses checked on us often to ask if we had any requests!! It was also no problem for them that coffee had to be postponed because of the cultural contribution!! We would like to thank the entire team again for the successful celebration; we also thought it was great that they kept the restaurant open longer than usual just for us!!! We will come back here again when there is something to celebrate!!

We had made a reservation in advance by phone, but it wasn't necessary even at Whitsun. The ambiance isn't very inviting; everything in the dining room is old, with dried-up flowers in vases and poorly tended plants. There's a large hall for parties. But the food is absolutely fantastic, with a very tasty crème brulee. The prices aren't exactly cheap, but the quality is very good. The beer garden outside is also very nice, with reasonable self-service prices. If you want to climb the stairs, you can climb the Lessing Tower for 1 euro. All around is a lovely rhododendron park where you can stroll.

I wanted to get ice cream with my toddler. After asking the staff, they brought a menu for three people. After a long wait (another table was occupied), I went to find the server, but she showed no interest in our order. We left the place. It's a shame for our grandson that when the place is quiet, a wait of 15 minutes or more seems to be normal (to even place an order).

A beautiful restaurant nestled in the forest on Hutberg, with a hall and plenty of seating both inside and outside. The food was very good. Right next door, the Lessing Tower is a great place to climb. It's a great place to grab a bite to eat or a drink before the concert.

A traditional inn that's more of a place to enjoy a midday beer and a Kamenzer with mustard in the sun. The dining room is uncomfortable, the music is too loud, and no one needs a waitress who sings along. The food is okay, but not a standout. Unfortunately, the value for money isn't right here.

We entered the beautiful winter garden. Almost all the tables were free, but dirty dishes were still on them all. We sat down anyway. The waitress brought food to the back table several times and kept going back to the kitchen empty-handed. That surprised me. Surely the work could be optimized a bit, and the impression would be much better. Eventually, our table was cleared. The waitress brought one menu for three people. That's also rather unusual. She probably needs some more practice. The coffee was good.

Free parking. Very good food, not exactly cheap. Nice outdoor seating. It's the starting point for the Rhododendron Park, which is highly recommended. Very well-maintained paths. And wonderfully colorful, diverse rhododendrons. Situated on the mountain, there are many wonderful, serpentine paths for exploring. There's even a wheelchair-accessible path. This park is a MUST-VISIT!!

Unfortunately, we, a senior group from Pirna, had a very bad experience yesterday. We didn't get to eat because we cut the visit short after waiting for an hour and a half. Guests who arrived later, however, received their food... when we asked why not us, "The other guests had already ordered their food." We left the restaurant at 1:30 with a bitter aftertaste, wondering if that was even true. Why didn't they tell us when we made the reservation that it might take a while? Simply impertinent, or completely overwhelmed. What a shame, it really ruined a wonderful day for us.

Limited selection of food and not suitable for all tastes. Some food was only lukewarm on the plate. Food prices at the highest limit. This was my last visit here.

Yesterday we wanted to have a little something to eat for Easter Monday. At around 2:30 p.m. we were at your restaurant. You wouldn't be noticed straight away, it wasn't until a guest at the counter asked what we wanted that the young waitress noticed that we were there. When we asked if we could get a table and get something to eat, she replied very snippily that there was nothing left and that we would like to eat outside on the terrace. The restaurant is open until 6 p.m. and there is nothing left!? And I'm not willing to get a bratwurst on a holiday either. I was very disappointed this time.

As pilgrims, we were probably not welcome guests here. We only got drinks when we asked urgently. Apparently there was no cake, although the people at the next table got some shortly beforehand. the toilets were scary. Unfortunately there was no alternative far and wide.

Unfortunately the size of the meals has become smaller, but not the price.

We came here today especially to eat roulades. The roulades were recommended to us as being very tasty, and I can absolutely confirm that. The portions were very generous and delicious. We had spiced meat for starters, roulades for the main course, and Kaiserschmarrn for dessert. All the dishes were homemade. The service was attentive and friendly. As a guest, we felt very well looked after. After a stroll through the park, we were treated to homemade Stollen and coffee. My recommendation. If you like homemade food, you have to go here!

The hike through the park now in autumn and of course when the rhododendrons are in bloom is simply wonderful. These many different colors...wow😊.

The food was exceptional. We'd love to come back too. Only the waitress forgot about us when reserved guests arrived. Can happen...

Ambiance: The restaurant has a beautiful location, that's about it. The outside area looked unkempt and the restaurant itself was pretty old. Anyone who knows the Gasthof am Butterberg near Bischofswerda knows what I'm talking about. The table was carelessly set, not even a tablecloth - snack bar/canteen character. Service: Completely overwhelmed. The place was packed, 2 people on duty. Food kept coming that we hadn't ordered and was intended for another table. Waiting time for our food was almost 2 hours, which is absolutely unacceptable. Essen: Were you at least able to score points here? Nope. I had wedding soup that doesn't deserve the name. A traditional and extremely tasty soup in the Sorbian region. The soup was so salty that you could literally spit it out. A bunch of vegetables, eggs you had to look for, served in a small finch pot and all for a mere 7 euros. But well, you wouldn't have been able to get any more of the stuff. Then the main course, my personal favorite, roulade. Roulade was nice and soft, that was the only plus point. Otherwise the part was completely tasteless. Maybe the soup completely incapacitated my taste buds, but the roulade just didn't taste like anything. The red cabbage was completely overcooked, who knows how many times it had been frozen and reheated. The dumplings were soggy. Other dishes were a little better received. I cannot recommend this inn.

Unfortunately, despite the nice weather, we found ourselves once again standing in front of a closed door. On the door there are opening times until 5:00 p.m. but they don't seem to take it too seriously. If you want to be on the safe side, you should take your summit beer with you.

We were only able to eat outside because we didn't have a reservation. But the snack offered was okay.

The employees are well trained in ignorance. There were several guests at the entrance who wanted to dine, but no one even attended to a group, even though several tables were already free. Instead, you walked around the room looking busy with empty tablets. After 15 minutes we gave up the pointless waiting. And tried our luck at the kiosk outside. A plastic bowl of solyanka or a portion of fries from a paper board should now serve. So we stood in the quite long queue. But what could go wrong? There should be enough Solyanka in the vat. Fries or bratwurst aren't rocket science either. But here too the queue didn't go any further. So we left the area with growling stomachs. And we were able to find a small, fine pizzeria in the city center that served us well despite the fact that we arrived 20 minutes before closing time. This is not what service looks like. Advertising on social media hui. But live performance was rather yucky. It's a good thing there's no alternative up there. This is how bad service can continue to survive.

Very cheeky service, I waited forever and asked for it 4 times for the longest time. After three quarters of an hour I went in to pay. Coffee was also delivered without cream, despite asking, I had to get the cream myself

Today we were invited to Easter dinner on the Hutberg. Unfortunately, we were a bit disappointed right from the start when we saw the menu on the table. Meat dishes (rabbit, lamb) 2 soups and 1 fish dish. Not for vegetarians or older children who can't handle lamb and rabbit. There was no drinks menu. There was at least a children's menu for the little ones, which our two older ones also ordered from. (Schnitzel with fries) Great for Easter dinner, but better than nothing. The food came relatively quickly. Unfortunately one was forgotten, so everyone had their food and one still had to wait. Then the next disappointment: the fish and mashed potatoes were cold, the noodles for the little one were spicy, the schnitzel was so-so. One waitress was very nice, the older one was rather brisk and she seemed annoyed. Unfortunately the price/performance ratio wasn't right at all. The disappointment was great but unfortunately that wasn't all. The tablecloth was already dirty when we sat down and a glass was also dirty. Conclusion: We won't bring any more money here. It's a shame about the great location. Something positive: the tables were lovingly decorated and the little one was given a children's card to color.

Unfortunately, today (Sunday, March 17th, 2024, 3:30 p.m.) we walked to the Hutberg again only to find ourselves in front of a locked door. According to the permanent sign at the foot of the Hutberg "open daily from 11:00 a.m." and the same opening times on the restaurant door, it was locked when the weather was sunny, even though staff were present. A kitchen window was wide open for ventilation and voices could be heard. Therefore not really recommended as a place to visit.

I would only like to recommend this Hutberg restaurant. First of all, it starts with the staff or the operation. The girls are always very nice and friendly, and very concerned about the customers. About the kitchen staff: The food is always prepared with the greatest care and love. The portions are very generous and very tasty. The price-performance ratio is also perfectly fine. Once you get to the Hutberg, the building seems rather dreary. But it has it all. The location offers flair and prestige. It is definitely an opportunity to eat well.

The team opened it especially for us and made excellent food despite the reduced menu. It was tasty, filling and well presented. We will definitely come back.

Waren heute mit einer großen Gruppe (vorbestellt mit Speisenauswahl) zum Mittagessen.Hervorragendes,geschmackvolles Essen. Einzige Kritik, Vorspeise (Suppe) kam teilweise nach dem Hauptgericht bzw. zur gleichen Zeit.

Wir haben lange Beziehungen zur Gastätte . Haben vor 55 Jahren unsere Hochzeit im Hotel gefeiert und vieles mehr. Essen war gut. Das Ambiente war schon besser trotz Reservierung nicht eingedeckt ,Imbiss niveaue,das konntet ihr schon Mal besser!!!!!

Familienfeier war gut durchorganisiert.

Geschmacklich sind die Pizzen super, da kann man kaum etwas sagen. Hatten die Hot Dog-Pizza sowie Salami. Mittlerweile kaufen wir allerdings nur noch bei Rabatt-Auktionen ein, da die Preise in den letzten 2 Jahre immer wieder gestiegen sind.

Um es kurz zu machen...das Essen, als es dann endlich mal da war, war gut, passend zum durchaus urigen Ambiente und Preis/Leistung gehen noch in Ordnung. Aber!!! Liebes Team, arbeitet bitte an eurem Service am Gast. Die Linke weiß nicht was die Rechte macht, Personal steht oft hilflos mit Speisen in den Händen und rätselt, welcher Tisch was bekommt. Das muss besser werden. Und noch ein Tipp aus der Gastro, Personal sollte immer beim Gehen einen Blick auf die Tische haben, nicht nur, um Geschirr zu beräumen sondern auf leere Gläser zu achten. Bei Nachfrage wollen über 90% der Gäste noch etwas trinken....das kurbelt den Umsatz an und ist schnell verdientes Geld. Ansonsten, Speisen, Lage, alles gut....nur bitte, arbeitet am Service. Ihr habt so einen schönen Gasthof in guter Lage 👍👍☀️☀️

Zu Himmelfahrt 11:30 Uhr war der Imbis überlastet, langes Anstehen, ich nicht ausreichend warme Würste relativ teuer, und furchtbar laute Musik von der Disko die jegliche Unterhaltung unmöglich machte. Vielleicht war auch deshalb auch ein Platz am Tisch zu bekommen, denn lange haben es wohl viele nicht ausgehalten auf der Terrasse beim Imbiß. Für das Lokal gilt dieser Bericht nicht.

Essen und Bedienung waren einwandfrei. Wir haben schon im Bekanntenkreis die Werbetrommel gerührt.

War erst skeptisch und wurde dann sehr positiv überrascht. Nette freundliche Bedienung und schamhaftes Essen.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden: Akzeptable Wartezeit, obwohl zum Sonntag Mittag alle Plätze besetzt waren, schmackhaftes Essen und eine freundliche und aufmerksame Bedienung.

Immer einen Ausflug hoch auf den Hutberg wert - natürlich besonders zur Blüte der Azaleen und Rhododendren.

Sehr schön dekoriert zum Osteressen. Netter Service. Und natürlich eine super Lage.

Ein sehr schönes Restaurant mit gutem Service.

Die Weihnachtsfeier mit der Lebenshilfe war sehr und die stimmung war auch sehr gut und das abendbrot essen schnitzel mit Pommels sehr lecker geschmeckt, aber zum schnitzel hätte mal soße dazu machen oder zitrone auf dem Teller hinlegen das man zitrone auf dem schnitzel drüber ziehen kann, und zum schnitzel hätte mal schwenkkartoffeln oder Kartoffeln dazu machen können.

Wir fühlten uns etwas verlassen, denn außer einer Oma mit Kindern waren um 12 Ihr keine weiteren Gäste da.Das 1.Blatt der Speisekarte im Schaukasten aussen war durch Feuchtigkeit angeschimmelt, also nicht rechtzeitig ausgewechselt.In der Toilette waren die Behälter der gebrauchten Papiertücher noch voll und auch in den Gasträumen hätte man einladendentes erwartet. Das Essen hat aber prima geschmeckt und die Bedienung war sehr nett.

Super Bedienung und das Essen ist jeden Cent wert. Traditionelle Küche sehr geschmackvoll.

Wir hatten dort unser Klassentreffen gemacht,war super man konnte sich in keiner Weise beschweren! Ein großes Lob an die Küche, das Essen war Spitze!

Unser Prietitzer Mammutgarten-Büroteam vom Lerchenberg 5 hat sich heute erstmals Pizza & Burger per Internet bestellt und anliefern lassen. Wir waren echt überrascht, dass alles wirklich fast auf die Minute da war und vor allem lecker schmeckte. Außer diesen Sachen werden u.a. auch Pastagerichte angeboten. Sehr empfehlenswert der Kamenzer Lieferant. Hier bestellen wir gerne wieder.
